	Some of the enlisted companies include Chaudhary Group, Golcha Organisation, Dugad Group, IME Group, Jagadamba Group which received certificate during the programme. Likewise, Annapurna Hotel, various companies operating at Balaju Industrial Estate, security guards supplying companies, majority of industries at Patan Industrial Estate, hotels, hospitals, schools, colleges, government and non-government institutions also got certificates at the event.</p>
<p>
	The government is also preparing to certify the remaining enlisted companies soon, said Minister Bista. He further said that the ministry is initiating to make the contributors to the employees&rsquo; provident fund and civil investment fund to participate in the social security fund.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	The government has already declared to implement the scheme July 17. Since the country&rsquo;s big industries have already joined the scheme, remaining entrepreneurs are also expected to participate in the scheme.</p>
<p>
	Publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette,&nbsp;the ministry on November 12, 2018, had urged the employer companies and labor suppliers of Kathmandu valley to be enlisted in the fund from November 22, 2018 to February 18, 2019.</p>
<p>
	The government is preparing to complete the listing of the companies by mid-May.</p>

	January 28: Petroleum products and vehicles worth Rs 103.53 billion were imported in Nepal from the Brigunj Customs Point in the first six months of the current fiscal year 2018/19. This figure is an increase of 77 percent as compared to the data of the corresponding period of last FY.</p>

	Although the government has pledged to improve supply of electricity in order to reduce the import of petroleum products, the records maintained at the main customs point show the opposite result.</p>
<p>
	The country spent the maximum amount for purchasing petroleum products. The country relies on half of the total petroleum products imported from this customs point.</p>
<p>
	Manish Kumar Mahato, communication officer at the customs point, confirmed that there was an increase of import by 77 percent during the review period.</p>
<p>
	According to the data maintained by the customs office, the country imported 384,000 kiloliters of diesel, the highest among all petroleum products, during the review period. The cost of the total diesel import was Rs 28.12 billion, according to the customs office.</p>
<p>
	The government has classified vehicles as luxurious goods and imposed a very high tax on vehicles. Yet, this has had little impact on import of vehicles. The tax collected from the import of four-wheelers including jeeps, cars and vans has alone increased by 100 percent at the Birgunj Customs Point.</p>
<p>
	In the first six months of FY 2017/18, altogether 5957 vehicles worth Rs 4.99 billion were imported from Birgunj Customs Point. The figure stood at a staggering 9172 vehicles with a total worth of Rs 10.26 billion in the corresponding period of the current FY.</p>
<p>
	Vehicles fall among the top three revenue contributors to the state coffers, said Mahato.</p>

	Division chief Ram Prasad Ghimire said that although the division had conducted study in more than 500 places, the permission for excavation was given in only 241 places.</p>

	&ldquo;It is not sure all the areas have the minerals. So only the areas with traces of minerals are dug up,&rdquo; he said, adding that most of the mining would be conducted on domestic investment.</p>
<p>
	The minerals are categorized into three groups- most important, important and common. The most important are gold, silver, diamond and other precious metals.</p>
<p>
	According to him, owing to the high price and lack of technology, the minerals produced in the country as kyanite, quartz and tourmaline have not been exported for two years.</p>

Likewise, Annapurna Hotel, various companies operating at Balaju Industrial Estate, security guards supplying companies, majority of industries at Patan Industrial Estate, hotels, hospitals, schools, colleges, government and non-government institutions also got certificates at the event.</p>

	The government is also preparing to certify the remaining enlisted companies soon, said Minister Bista. He further said that the ministry is initiating to make the contributors to the employees&rsquo; provident fund and civil investment fund to participate in the social security fund.&nbsp;</p>

	The government has already declared to implement the scheme July 17. Since the country&rsquo;s big industries have already joined the scheme, remaining entrepreneurs are also expected to participate in the scheme.</p>

	Publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette,&nbsp;the ministry on November 12, 2018, had urged the employer companies and labor suppliers of Kathmandu valley to be enlisted in the fund from November 22, 2018 to February 18, 2019.</p>

	Although the government has pledged to improve supply of electricity in order to reduce the import of petroleum products, the records maintained at the main customs point show the opposite result.</p>
<p>
	The country spent the maximum amount for purchasing petroleum products. The country relies on half of the total petroleum products imported from this customs point.</p>
<p>
	Manish Kumar Mahato, communication officer at the customs point, confirmed that there was an increase of import by 77 percent during the review period.</p>
<p>
	According to the data maintained by the customs office, the country imported 384,000 kiloliters of diesel, the highest among all petroleum products, during the review period. The cost of the total diesel import was Rs 28.12 billion, according to the customs office.</p>
<p>
	The government has classified vehicles as luxurious goods and imposed a very high tax on vehicles. Yet, this has had little impact on import of vehicles. The tax collected from the import of four-wheelers including jeeps, cars and vans has alone increased by 100 percent at the Birgunj Customs Point.</p>
<p>
	In the first six months of FY 2017/18, altogether 5957 vehicles worth Rs 4.99 billion were imported from Birgunj Customs Point. The figure stood at a staggering 9172 vehicles with a total worth of Rs 10.26 billion in the corresponding period of the current FY.</p>
<p>
	Vehicles fall among the top three revenue contributors to the state coffers, said Mahato.</p>

	The excavation list includes limestone, sphatik, stone dust used to make glass, iron, dolomite, ruby, zinc, copper, stone and coal.</p>

	Division chief Ram Prasad Ghimire said that although the division had conducted study in more than 500 places, the permission for excavation was given in only 241 places.</p>

	&ldquo;It is not sure all the areas have the minerals. So only the areas with traces of minerals are dug up,&rdquo; he said, adding that most of the mining would be conducted on domestic investment.</p>
<p>
	The minerals are categorized into three groups- most important, important and common. The most important are gold, silver, diamond and other precious metals.</p>

	The government has already declared to implement the scheme July 17. Since the country&rsquo;s big industries have already joined the scheme, remaining entrepreneurs are also expected to participate in the scheme.</p>

	Publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette,&nbsp;the ministry on November 12, 2018, had urged the employer companies and labor suppliers of Kathmandu valley to be enlisted in the fund from November 22, 2018 to February 18, 2019.</p>

	Although the government has pledged to improve supply of electricity in order to reduce the import of petroleum products, the records maintained at the main customs point show the opposite result.</p>
<p>
	The country spent the maximum amount for purchasing petroleum products. The country relies on half of the total petroleum products imported from this customs point.</p>
<p>
	Manish Kumar Mahato, communication officer at the customs point, confirmed that there was an increase of import by 77 percent during the review period.</p>
<p>
	According to the data maintained by the customs office, the country imported 384,000 kiloliters of diesel, the highest among all petroleum products, during the review period. The cost of the total diesel import was Rs 28.12 billion, according to the customs office.</p>
<p>
	The government has classified vehicles as luxurious goods and imposed a very high tax on vehicles. Yet, this has had little impact on import of vehicles. The tax collected from the import of four-wheelers including jeeps, cars and vans has alone increased by 100 percent at the Birgunj Customs Point.</p>
<p>
	In the first six months of FY 2017/18, altogether 5957 vehicles worth Rs 4.99 billion were imported from Birgunj Customs Point. The figure stood at a staggering 9172 vehicles with a total worth of Rs 10.26 billion in the corresponding period of the current FY.</p>
<p>

RSS reported that the lawmakers also complained that the cost of NT&rsquo;s project to develop 4G service was high.</p>

	According to RSS, a Chinese company has been awarded the contract to undertake the Rs 18 billion project. In this regard, they suggested consulting experts before jumping to any conclusion.</p>

	Former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey underscored the need for the NT to initiate the process to expand its service at the earliest. He, however, sought impartiality and quality service.</p>
<p>
	Bishnu Prasad Paudel, who is also a former finance minister, demanded that the NT takes advice and suggestion from experts in information and technology before taking important decisions.</p>

	The excavation list includes limestone, sphatik, stone dust used to make glass, iron, dolomite, ruby, zinc, copper, stone and coal.</p>

	Division chief Ram Prasad Ghimire said that although the division had conducted study in more than 500 places, the permission for excavation was given in only 241 places.</p>
<p>
	&ldquo;It is not sure all the areas have the minerals. So only the areas with traces of minerals are dug up,&rdquo; he said, adding that most of the mining would be conducted on domestic investment.</p>
<p>
	The minerals are categorized into three groups- most important, important and common. The most important are gold, silver, diamond and other precious metals.</p>
<p>
	According to him, owing to the high price and lack of technology, the minerals produced in the country as kyanite, quartz and tourmaline have not been exported for two years.</p>

	The government has already declared to implement the scheme July 17. Since the country&rsquo;s big industries have already joined the scheme, remaining entrepreneurs are also expected to participate in the scheme.</p>

	Publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette,&nbsp;the ministry on November 12, 2018, had urged the employer companies and labor suppliers of Kathmandu valley to be enlisted in the fund from November 22, 2018 to February 18, 2019.</p>

	January 28: Petroleum products and vehicles worth Rs 103.53 billion were imported in Nepal from the Brigunj Customs Point in the first six months of the current fiscal year 2018/19. This figure is an increase of 77 percent as compared to the data of the corresponding period of last FY.</p>
<p>
	Although the government has pledged to improve supply of electricity in order to reduce the import of petroleum products, the records maintained at the main customs point show the opposite result.</p>
<p>
	The country spent the maximum amount for purchasing petroleum products. The country relies on half of the total petroleum products imported from this customs point.</p>
<p>
	Manish Kumar Mahato, communication officer at the customs point, confirmed that there was an increase of import by 77 percent during the review period.</p>
<p>
	According to the data maintained by the customs office, the country imported 384,000 kiloliters of diesel, the highest among all petroleum products, during the review period. The cost of the total diesel import was Rs 28.12 billion, according to the customs office.</p>
<p>
	The government has classified vehicles as luxurious goods and imposed a very high tax on vehicles. Yet, this has had little impact on import of vehicles. The tax collected from the import of four-wheelers including jeeps, cars and vans has alone increased by 100 percent at the Birgunj Customs Point.</p>
<p>
	In the first six months of FY 2017/18, altogether 5957 vehicles worth Rs 4.99 billion were imported from Birgunj Customs Point. The figure stood at a staggering 9172 vehicles with a total worth of Rs 10.26 billion in the corresponding period of the current FY.</p>
<p>
	Vehicles fall among the top three revenue contributors to the state coffers, said Mahato.</p>

RSS reported that the lawmakers also complained that the cost of NT&rsquo;s project to develop 4G service was high.</p>

	According to RSS, a Chinese company has been awarded the contract to undertake the Rs 18 billion project. In this regard, they suggested consulting experts before jumping to any conclusion.</p>

	Former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey underscored the need for the NT to initiate the process to expand its service at the earliest. He, however, sought impartiality and quality service.</p>
<p>
	Bishnu Prasad Paudel, who is also a former finance minister, demanded that the NT takes advice and suggestion from experts in information and technology before taking important decisions.</p>

	&ldquo;It is not sure all the areas have the minerals. So only the areas with traces of minerals are dug up,&rdquo; he said, adding that most of the mining would be conducted on domestic investment.</p>
<p>
	The minerals are categorized into three groups- most important, important and common. The most important are gold, silver, diamond and other precious metals.</p>
<p>
	According to him, owing to the high price and lack of technology, the minerals produced in the country as kyanite, quartz and tourmaline have not been exported for two years.</p>
