“We expect that the conference will help in enhancing the audit quality as well as confidence of public toward the works of chartered accountants,” Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEWJON) quoted him as saying.</p>

According to the ICAN, four various sessions will be held during the conference where experts and practitioners will present and comment on technical papers. “We expect that the conference will help in enhancing the audit quality as well as confidence of public toward the works of chartered accountants,” Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEWJON) quoted him as saying.</p>

January 30: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) is organizing a one-day conference on ‘Accounting Profession and Way Forward’ on January 31. ICAN, an autonomous body to regulate chartered accountancy in Nepal, said in a statement that the conference is being held to mark its 22<sup>nd</sup> anniversary.</p>

Minister for Finance Yuba Raj Khatiwada is scheduled to deliver his remark during the conference.</p>
<p>
ICAN’s President Jagannath Upadhyay (Niraula) said during a press conference on Tuesday that the conference will be held with an objective of discussing the challenges and latest developments in accountancy profession and to build the trust of public towards the profession of chartered accountants. </p>
<p>
“We expect that the conference will help in enhancing the audit quality as well as confidence of public toward the works of chartered accountants,” Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEWJON) quoted him as saying.</p>
<p>
According to the ICAN, four various sessions will be held during the conference where experts and practitioners will present and comment on technical papers. Blockchain and financial market, corporate governance reporting and role of professional accountants, experience in implementation of financial reporting standards in Nepal and enhancing the quality of the audit are the themes on which the conference will focus on, said ICAN’s president. </p>
