<p>According to Purna Bahadur Gurung, secretary of Alternative Route Construction Committee, Manang and Lamjung-based entrepreneurs have initiated an alternative route from Beshisahar to Khudi. Gurung said that new alternative route was developed as the existing trails in Annapurna route was shortened by the construction of motorways while vehicular movement posed numerous challenges to trekkers.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Kaski tourism entrepreneurs said that Round Fewa is expected to extend the length of trekking days, which is cut back by construction of motorways in one of the world&#39;s best trekking routes that include Annapurna Base Camp, Machhapuchhre Model Trek, Mardi Himal Model Trek and Poonhill</p>

<p>Dipak Raj Adhikari, Chairperson of Western Regional Trekking Agency Association of Nepal, Pokhara explained that Fewa Round is under final stage of preparation. In six days of trekking, Fewa Round will begin from Pokhara&rsquo;s Dam side and incorporates World Peace Stupa, Kalabhang Ghaderi Homestay, Panchase, Kaskikot and Sarangkot along the trail.</p>

<p>Adhikari further added that they are planning out further trekking routes that include Machhapuchre Model Trek, Eco-century Trek Parbat Eco Trek and Kapuche Trek to make the trekking experience lengthy and exciting.</p>

Election Commission&rsquo;s (EC) preliminary assessment affirms that the voter turnout for the December 7 polls was 67 percent.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">According to the commission, only 67 percent of the total 12,235,000 registered voters exercised their voting rights in 45 districts during the second phase election. The EC said that the voter turnout might go up as they are yet to receive reports from few places. The voter turnout in the first phase of the election, held on November 26, was 65 percent.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">Gulmi witnessed the highest number of voter turnout with 71 percent voters casting their ballots, EC informed. </span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">Voting was withheld in two polling centers of Arghakhanchi districts due to some disturbances. Election in two polling centers at Mathura Lower Secondary School in Sandhikharka Municipality-5 was postponed after political parties vandalized ballot boxes accusing ballot papers lacking election officer&rsquo;s signature. Re-election will be held in the two centers within a few days, said the EC.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">During a post-election press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav asserted that Nepalese people&rsquo;s enthusiastic participation in the elections displays their determination to execute the new constitution, institutionalize federal democratic republic setup and maintain political stability in the country.</span></p>

<p>Preliminary results show that the left alliance is leading the poll race. So far, CPN-UML has secured two provincial seats while CPN (Maoist Center) has secured one. UML candidates secured victories in Manang and Mustang districts. In Manang, UML&rsquo;s Prem Prasad Tulachan garnered 3,544 votes beating his nearest rival Romi Gauchan Thakali of Nepali Congress (NC), the 2013 Constituent Assembly election winner, by 263 votes.</p>

<p>Likewise, UML&rsquo;s Palden Choppang Gurung has defeated former minister and NC candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung by 289 votes in Mustang. Palden Gurung had garnered 2,300 votes.</p>

<p>In Rukum (east), Maoist candidates have already won a seat in federal and provincial assembly. Maoist Center candidate Kamala Roka defeated Hari Shankar Gharti by a wide margin of 6,028 votes to secure a seat in the federal parliament. Roka received 10,434 votes.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Kaski tourism entrepreneurs said that Round Fewa is expected to extend the length of trekking days, which is cut back by construction of motorways in one of the world&#39;s best trekking routes that include Annapurna Base Camp, Machhapuchhre Model Trek, Mardi Himal Model Trek and Poonhill</p>

<p>Dipak Raj Adhikari, Chairperson of Western Regional Trekking Agency Association of Nepal, Pokhara explained that Fewa Round is under final stage of preparation. In six days of trekking, Fewa Round will begin from Pokhara&rsquo;s Dam side and incorporates World Peace Stupa, Kalabhang Ghaderi Homestay, Panchase, Kaskikot and Sarangkot along the trail.</p>

<p>Adhikari further added that they are planning out further trekking routes that include Machhapuchre Model Trek, Eco-century Trek Parbat Eco Trek and Kapuche Trek to make the trekking experience lengthy and exciting.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">According to the commission, only 67 percent of the total 12,235,000 registered voters exercised their voting rights in 45 districts during the second phase election. The EC said that the voter turnout might go up as they are yet to receive reports from few places. The voter turnout in the first phase of the election, held on November 26, was 65 percent.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">Gulmi witnessed the highest number of voter turnout with 71 percent voters casting their ballots, EC informed. </span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">Voting was withheld in two polling centers of Arghakhanchi districts due to some disturbances. Election in two polling centers at Mathura Lower Secondary School in Sandhikharka Municipality-5 was postponed after political parties vandalized ballot boxes accusing ballot papers lacking election officer&rsquo;s signature. Re-election will be held in the two centers within a few days, said the EC.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">During a post-election press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav asserted that Nepalese people&rsquo;s enthusiastic participation in the elections displays their determination to execute the new constitution, institutionalize federal democratic republic setup and maintain political stability in the country.</span></p>

UML candidates secured victories in Manang and Mustang districts. In Manang, UML&rsquo;s Prem Prasad Tulachan garnered 3,544 votes beating his nearest rival Romi Gauchan Thakali of Nepali Congress (NC), the 2013 Constituent Assembly election winner, by 263 votes.</p>

<p>Likewise, UML&rsquo;s Palden Choppang Gurung has defeated former minister and NC candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung by 289 votes in Mustang. Palden Gurung had garnered 2,300 votes.</p>

<p>In Rukum (east), Maoist candidates have already won a seat in federal and provincial assembly. Maoist Center candidate Kamala Roka defeated Hari Shankar Gharti by a wide margin of 6,028 votes to secure a seat in the federal parliament. Roka received 10,434 votes.</p>

<p>Dipak Raj Adhikari, Chairperson of Western Regional Trekking Agency Association of Nepal, Pokhara explained that Fewa Round is under final stage of preparation. In six days of trekking, Fewa Round will begin from Pokhara&rsquo;s Dam side and incorporates World Peace Stupa, Kalabhang Ghaderi Homestay, Panchase, Kaskikot and Sarangkot along the trail.</p>

<p>Adhikari further added that they are planning out further trekking routes that include Machhapuchre Model Trek, Eco-century Trek Parbat Eco Trek and Kapuche Trek to make the trekking experience lengthy and exciting.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">According to the commission, only 67 percent of the total 12,235,000 registered voters exercised their voting rights in 45 districts during the second phase election. The EC said that the voter turnout might go up as they are yet to receive reports from few places. The voter turnout in the first phase of the election, held on November 26, was 65 percent.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">Gulmi witnessed the highest number of voter turnout with 71 percent voters casting their ballots, EC informed. </span></p>

Re-election will be held in the two centers within a few days, said the EC.</span></p>

<p>Preliminary results show that the left alliance is leading the poll race. So far, CPN-UML has secured two provincial seats while CPN (Maoist Center) has secured one. UML candidates secured victories in Manang and Mustang districts. In Manang, UML&rsquo;s Prem Prasad Tulachan garnered 3,544 votes beating his nearest rival Romi Gauchan Thakali of Nepali Congress (NC), the 2013 Constituent Assembly election winner, by 263 votes.</p>

<p>Likewise, UML&rsquo;s Palden Choppang Gurung has defeated former minister and NC candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung by 289 votes in Mustang. Palden Gurung had garnered 2,300 votes.</p>

<p>In Rukum (east), Maoist candidates have already won a seat in federal and provincial assembly. Maoist Center candidate Kamala Roka defeated Hari Shankar Gharti by a wide margin of 6,028 votes to secure a seat in the federal parliament. Roka received 10,434 votes.</p>

<p>Dipak Raj Adhikari, Chairperson of Western Regional Trekking Agency Association of Nepal, Pokhara explained that Fewa Round is under final stage of preparation. In six days of trekking, Fewa Round will begin from Pokhara&rsquo;s Dam side and incorporates World Peace Stupa, Kalabhang Ghaderi Homestay, Panchase, Kaskikot and Sarangkot along the trail.</p>

<p>Adhikari further added that they are planning out further trekking routes that include Machhapuchre Model Trek, Eco-century Trek Parbat Eco Trek and Kapuche Trek to make the trekking experience lengthy and exciting.</p>

The EC said that the voter turnout might go up as they are yet to receive reports from few places. <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">Gulmi witnessed the highest number of voter turnout with 71 percent voters casting their ballots, EC informed. </span></p>

Election in two polling centers at Mathura Lower Secondary School in Sandhikharka Municipality-5 was postponed after political parties vandalized ballot boxes accusing ballot papers lacking election officer&rsquo;s signature. Re-election will be held in the two centers within a few days, said the EC.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12.5pt">During a post-election press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav asserted that Nepalese people&rsquo;s enthusiastic participation in the elections displays their determination to execute the new constitution, institutionalize federal democratic republic setup and maintain political stability in the country.</span></p>

The counting for the first phase of election held in 32 hill and mountain districts started from 5 pm Thursday while the second phase of election held in 45 districts began from Friday morning.</span></p>

<p>Preliminary results show that the left alliance is leading the poll race. So far, CPN-UML has secured two provincial seats while CPN (Maoist Center) has secured one. UML candidates secured victories in Manang and Mustang districts. In Manang, UML&rsquo;s Prem Prasad Tulachan garnered 3,544 votes beating his nearest rival Romi Gauchan Thakali of Nepali Congress (NC), the 2013 Constituent Assembly election winner, by 263 votes.</p>

<p>Likewise, UML&rsquo;s Palden Choppang Gurung has defeated former minister and NC candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung by 289 votes in Mustang. Palden Gurung had garnered 2,300 votes.</p>

<p>In Rukum (east), Maoist candidates have already won a seat in federal and provincial assembly. Maoist Center candidate Kamala Roka defeated Hari Shankar Gharti by a wide margin of 6,028 votes to secure a seat in the federal parliament. Roka received 10,434 votes.</p>
