<p>Head of Cooperation at the EU Nepal office Andreas Roettger and Pushpa Raman Wagle, CTEVT member secretary signed the agreement at CTEVT office on December 8, said EU in its press statement. Sakchyamta is part of the larger euro 20 million &#39;EU-Nepal Practical Partnership for Technical Vocational Education and Training reform (TVET-PP)&#39; project where EU has collaborated with private sector and the British Council.</p>

<p>&quot;As Nepal is now embarking on a new phase of federal governance, a strong focus on unleashing the economic potential is crucial for the nation&rsquo;s vision and drive towards LDC graduation by 2022 and middle income status by 2030. We hope the Sakchyamta project will play a pivotal support role in boosting economic growth by helping to create a more demand-driven workforce,&quot; Roettger said after the signing ceremony. The EU said it continues to be committed to assist Nepal in achieving better livelihood opportunities for all.</p>

<p>CTEVT Member Secretary Wagle thanked the EU for the valuable support. He said, &quot;We at CTEVT are genuinely enthusiastic about this cooperation, which will enhance coordination and quality in this important sector. Our commitment is very strong to maximize the results of the Sakchyamta project by ensuring effective implementation.&quot;</p>

<p>The EU aims at bringing noteworthy changes in the TVET sector through its current support. The EU-CTEVT partnership focuses on strengthening the quality of planning, coordination and implementation capacity of CTEVT to also increase the reach out to the most disadvantaged and ensure leadership in line with CTEVT&#39;s strategic plan (2014-2018).</p>

<p>The project will work in the areas of capacity building of CTEVT staff, engage with the private sector in the development of a demand driven TVET system, ensure employers&#39; involvement in developing curricula and learning materials, improving quality standards, assurance and monitoring in the TVET sector. The project will also strengthen effective coordination and collaboration with national, provincial and local TVET stakeholders.</p>

<p>The fair will offer various entertainment activities for youths, adults, and kids while the entry will be free for all. Trampoline, go-cart, temporary tattoo, Disney princess castle and characters will be featured in the event for kids. The event will also comprise of fun activities like paper plan throw, mini-golf, frog-jump, Facebook tagging contest, blind makeup, unicorn ring toss and biscuit-on-the-head to entertain visitors and even 4G-based game like car race. Visitors can also win exciting prizes in game stalls, said the company.</p>

<p>The event will see performances from various artists including Shiva Pariyar, Indira Joshi and Aashish Rana (Laure) and band performances from Cobweb, The Edge and Shadows. Saman Shrestha and Animesh Shahi, winner and runner up of Roadies will also participate in the mela.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Leading the host of awards received by the airline this year is the prestigious accolade of 2017 &lsquo;Airline of the Year,&rsquo; awarded by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. <p>Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and the Ministry of Finance are preparing a new system to calculate the GDP in the context of the changed economic structure of the country.</p>

<p>As the new system in calculating GDP will also cover the areas that have been excluded so far, we can expect to see an increase in the size of the country&rsquo;s economy, according to NRB Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The country&rsquo;s economy which is somewhere in between Rs 2,500 to Rs 2,600 billion at present is set to cross the mark of Rs 3,000 billion when calculated by the new system,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal during a function organised to mark the beginning of integrated transaction by Century Commercial Bank after acquiring Seti Finance on Sunday, December 10.</p>

<p>He further added that budget announced as per the new federal system adopted by the government has helped BFIs to reach out to the rural areas of the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Rs 225 billion has already been released to the local units and an equal amount is in the process of being released for the provincial level,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;This has helped in capacity enhancement of banks and mobilisation of local resources,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>According to Kamal Prasad Yadav, engineer at Diktel Road Planning Office, they plan to finish the construction and operate the bridge by mid-December.</p>

<p>Transportation from Gaighat to Khotang was earlier blocked after the bridge at Foksinta, Udayapur, where the current construction is taking place, was removed in fear of being swept by the heavy rainfall-induced flood last June. At present, locals are compelled to cross the section through the nearby suspension bridge.</p>

<p>The total cost for construction of the bridge is Rs 7.4 million and will be 50 meter in length and 5 meter in width, said the proprietor of Udayapur-based Sagarmatha Construction Company, Prem Raj Karki. He informed that the construction will be completed within one month.</p>

<p>According to World Bank, the loan will help in developing livestock for sustained agriculture growth and economic growth, poverty reduction, and improving food and security, which are major objectives of the ADS.</p>

<p>In a press release dated December 7, the World Bank stated that the financial loan will directly benefit 200,000 livestock farmers from 271 municipalities, at least 45 percent of them being women. The loan will also benefit around 500 small and medium-sized agro-enterprises from production and post-production value chains, shared World Bank in its press release.</p>

<p>Though 70 percent of the population engaged in agriculture keeps livestock, Nepal imports livestock and livestock products amounting to US$ 40 million to meet the country&rsquo;s demand, shared World Bank.</p>

<p>The project will mainly help to create strong regulatory institutional environment for livestock farming, enhance productivity and strengthen key strategic livestock value chains and access to business services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Sakchyamta is part of the larger euro 20 million &#39;EU-Nepal Practical Partnership for Technical Vocational Education and Training reform (TVET-PP)&#39; project where EU has collaborated with private sector and the British Council.</p>

<p>&quot;As Nepal is now embarking on a new phase of federal governance, a strong focus on unleashing the economic potential is crucial for the nation&rsquo;s vision and drive towards LDC graduation by 2022 and middle income status by 2030. We hope the Sakchyamta project will play a pivotal support role in boosting economic growth by helping to create a more demand-driven workforce,&quot; Roettger said after the signing ceremony. The EU said it continues to be committed to assist Nepal in achieving better livelihood opportunities for all.</p>

<p>CTEVT Member Secretary Wagle thanked the EU for the valuable support. He said, &quot;We at CTEVT are genuinely enthusiastic about this cooperation, which will enhance coordination and quality in this important sector. Our commitment is very strong to maximize the results of the Sakchyamta project by ensuring effective implementation.&quot;</p>

<p>The EU aims at bringing noteworthy changes in the TVET sector through its current support. The EU-CTEVT partnership focuses on strengthening the quality of planning, coordination and implementation capacity of CTEVT to also increase the reach out to the most disadvantaged and ensure leadership in line with CTEVT&#39;s strategic plan (2014-2018).</p>

<p>The project will work in the areas of capacity building of CTEVT staff, engage with the private sector in the development of a demand driven TVET system, ensure employers&#39; involvement in developing curricula and learning materials, improving quality standards, assurance and monitoring in the TVET sector. The project will also strengthen effective coordination and collaboration with national, provincial and local TVET stakeholders.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The country&rsquo;s economy which is somewhere in between Rs 2,500 to Rs 2,600 billion at present is set to cross the mark of Rs 3,000 billion when calculated by the new system,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal during a function organised to mark the beginning of integrated transaction by Century Commercial Bank after acquiring Seti Finance on Sunday, December 10.</p>

<p>He further added that budget announced as per the new federal system adopted by the government has helped BFIs to reach out to the rural areas of the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Rs 225 billion has already been released to the local units and an equal amount is in the process of being released for the provincial level,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;This has helped in capacity enhancement of banks and mobilisation of local resources,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Transportation from Gaighat to Khotang was earlier blocked after the bridge at Foksinta, Udayapur, where the current construction is taking place, was removed in fear of being swept by the heavy rainfall-induced flood last June. At present, locals are compelled to cross the section through the nearby suspension bridge.</p>

<p>The total cost for construction of the bridge is Rs 7.4 million and will be 50 meter in length and 5 meter in width, said the proprietor of Udayapur-based Sagarmatha Construction Company, Prem Raj Karki. He informed that the construction will be completed within one month.</p>

<p>In a press release dated December 7, the World Bank stated that the financial loan will directly benefit 200,000 livestock farmers from 271 municipalities, at least 45 percent of them being women. The loan will also benefit around 500 small and medium-sized agro-enterprises from production and post-production value chains, shared World Bank in its press release.</p>

<p>Though 70 percent of the population engaged in agriculture keeps livestock, Nepal imports livestock and livestock products amounting to US$ 40 million to meet the country&rsquo;s demand, shared World Bank.</p>

<p>The project will mainly help to create strong regulatory institutional environment for livestock farming, enhance productivity and strengthen key strategic livestock value chains and access to business services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Sakchyamta is part of the larger euro 20 million &#39;EU-Nepal Practical Partnership for Technical Vocational Education and Training reform (TVET-PP)&#39; project where EU has collaborated with private sector and the British Council.</p>

<p>&quot;As Nepal is now embarking on a new phase of federal governance, a strong focus on unleashing the economic potential is crucial for the nation&rsquo;s vision and drive towards LDC graduation by 2022 and middle income status by 2030. We hope the Sakchyamta project will play a pivotal support role in boosting economic growth by helping to create a more demand-driven workforce,&quot; Roettger said after the signing ceremony. The EU said it continues to be committed to assist Nepal in achieving better livelihood opportunities for all.</p>

<p>CTEVT Member Secretary Wagle thanked the EU for the valuable support. He said, &quot;We at CTEVT are genuinely enthusiastic about this cooperation, which will enhance coordination and quality in this important sector. Our commitment is very strong to maximize the results of the Sakchyamta project by ensuring effective implementation.&quot;</p>

<p>The EU aims at bringing noteworthy changes in the TVET sector through its current support. The EU-CTEVT partnership focuses on strengthening the quality of planning, coordination and implementation capacity of CTEVT to also increase the reach out to the most disadvantaged and ensure leadership in line with CTEVT&#39;s strategic plan (2014-2018).</p>

<p>The project will work in the areas of capacity building of CTEVT staff, engage with the private sector in the development of a demand driven TVET system, ensure employers&#39; involvement in developing curricula and learning materials, improving quality standards, assurance and monitoring in the TVET sector. The project will also strengthen effective coordination and collaboration with national, provincial and local TVET stakeholders.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The country&rsquo;s economy which is somewhere in between Rs 2,500 to Rs 2,600 billion at present is set to cross the mark of Rs 3,000 billion when calculated by the new system,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal during a function organised to mark the beginning of integrated transaction by Century Commercial Bank after acquiring Seti Finance on Sunday, December 10.</p>

<p>He further added that budget announced as per the new federal system adopted by the government has helped BFIs to reach out to the rural areas of the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Rs 225 billion has already been released to the local units and an equal amount is in the process of being released for the provincial level,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;This has helped in capacity enhancement of banks and mobilisation of local resources,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>The total cost for construction of the bridge is Rs 7.4 million and will be 50 meter in length and 5 meter in width, said the proprietor of Udayapur-based Sagarmatha Construction Company, Prem Raj Karki. He informed that the construction will be completed within one month.</p>

<p>In a press release dated December 7, the World Bank stated that the financial loan will directly benefit 200,000 livestock farmers from 271 municipalities, at least 45 percent of them being women. The loan will also benefit around 500 small and medium-sized agro-enterprises from production and post-production value chains, shared World Bank in its press release.</p>

<p>Though 70 percent of the population engaged in agriculture keeps livestock, Nepal imports livestock and livestock products amounting to US$ 40 million to meet the country&rsquo;s demand, shared World Bank.</p>

<p>The project will mainly help to create strong regulatory institutional environment for livestock farming, enhance productivity and strengthen key strategic livestock value chains and access to business services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Head of Cooperation at the EU Nepal office Andreas Roettger and Pushpa Raman Wagle, CTEVT member secretary signed the agreement at CTEVT office on December 8, said EU in its press statement. Sakchyamta is part of the larger euro 20 million &#39;EU-Nepal Practical Partnership for Technical Vocational Education and Training reform (TVET-PP)&#39; project where EU has collaborated with private sector and the British Council.</p>

<p>&quot;As Nepal is now embarking on a new phase of federal governance, a strong focus on unleashing the economic potential is crucial for the nation&rsquo;s vision and drive towards LDC graduation by 2022 and middle income status by 2030. We hope the Sakchyamta project will play a pivotal support role in boosting economic growth by helping to create a more demand-driven workforce,&quot; Roettger said after the signing ceremony. The EU said it continues to be committed to assist Nepal in achieving better livelihood opportunities for all.</p>

<p>CTEVT Member Secretary Wagle thanked the EU for the valuable support. He said, &quot;We at CTEVT are genuinely enthusiastic about this cooperation, which will enhance coordination and quality in this important sector. Our commitment is very strong to maximize the results of the Sakchyamta project by ensuring effective implementation.&quot;</p>

<p>The EU aims at bringing noteworthy changes in the TVET sector through its current support. The EU-CTEVT partnership focuses on strengthening the quality of planning, coordination and implementation capacity of CTEVT to also increase the reach out to the most disadvantaged and ensure leadership in line with CTEVT&#39;s strategic plan (2014-2018).</p>

<p>The project will work in the areas of capacity building of CTEVT staff, engage with the private sector in the development of a demand driven TVET system, ensure employers&#39; involvement in developing curricula and learning materials, improving quality standards, assurance and monitoring in the TVET sector. The project will also strengthen effective coordination and collaboration with national, provincial and local TVET stakeholders.</p>

<p>As the new system in calculating GDP will also cover the areas that have been excluded so far, we can expect to see an increase in the size of the country&rsquo;s economy, according to NRB Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The country&rsquo;s economy which is somewhere in between Rs 2,500 to Rs 2,600 billion at present is set to cross the mark of Rs 3,000 billion when calculated by the new system,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal during a function organised to mark the beginning of integrated transaction by Century Commercial Bank after acquiring Seti Finance on Sunday, December 10.</p>

<p>He further added that budget announced as per the new federal system adopted by the government has helped BFIs to reach out to the rural areas of the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Rs 225 billion has already been released to the local units and an equal amount is in the process of being released for the provincial level,&rdquo; said Governor Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;This has helped in capacity enhancement of banks and mobilisation of local resources,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>According to Kamal Prasad Yadav, engineer at Diktel Road Planning Office, they plan to finish the construction and operate the bridge by mid-December.</p>

<p>Transportation from Gaighat to Khotang was earlier blocked after the bridge at Foksinta, Udayapur, where the current construction is taking place, was removed in fear of being swept by the heavy rainfall-induced flood last June. At present, locals are compelled to cross the section through the nearby suspension bridge.</p>

<p>The total cost for construction of the bridge is Rs 7.4 million and will be 50 meter in length and 5 meter in width, said the proprietor of Udayapur-based Sagarmatha Construction Company, Prem Raj Karki. He informed that the construction will be completed within one month.</p>

<p>According to World Bank, the loan will help in developing livestock for sustained agriculture growth and economic growth, poverty reduction, and improving food and security, which are major objectives of the ADS.</p>

<p>In a press release dated December 7, the World Bank stated that the financial loan will directly benefit 200,000 livestock farmers from 271 municipalities, at least 45 percent of them being women. The loan will also benefit around 500 small and medium-sized agro-enterprises from production and post-production value chains, shared World Bank in its press release.</p>

<p>Though 70 percent of the population engaged in agriculture keeps livestock, Nepal imports livestock and livestock products amounting to US$ 40 million to meet the country&rsquo;s demand, shared World Bank.</p>

<p>The project will mainly help to create strong regulatory institutional environment for livestock farming, enhance productivity and strengthen key strategic livestock value chains and access to business services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
