<p>Issuing a statement, the organiser said that the participating startups ranged from online game developing companies to those working on animation production, from digital marketing to 3D printing, from online shopping startups to the companies that manage cash-on-delivery to these startups, from online education to online medicine, Nepali clothing brands and handicrafts to agro-startups among others.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The event also provided a learning platform for students and others who want to start their own businesses in the future,&rdquo; the statement said.</p>

<p>Enthused by the huge turn-out of visitors and startups in the BizFest, Amit Agrawal, manager of GBG Kathmandu shared, &ldquo;Startup is a recent phenomenon in Nepal. We can see many startups emerging to solve various need gaps existing in our society. However, not many people know about the emerging Nepali startups and there was no such expo focused on startups only. Also, it&rsquo;s not possible for all recently founded startups to pay a heavy fee to exhibit in expos. Thus GBG Kathmandu took an initiation to bring all major startups of Nepal in a single platform. <p>The ministry, quoting the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), said that the annual basic price was 4.2 per cent in the first four months of the current fiscal.</p>

<p>Likewise, the statistics of Financial Comptroller General Office show that the total expenditure in the first five months (as of mid-December) increased by seven per cent while current expenditure decreased by 13 per cent and the capital expenditure witnessed a 25.3 percent rise, RSS said.</p>

<p>The ministry concluded that the low amount of total expenditure was due to austerity measures adopted by the government in current expenditure. Last year, the figure was high due to the elections.</p>

<p>The figure of people setting out for abroad jobs in the first five months went down by 41.2 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year while the remittance flow increased by 36 percent.</p>

<p>According to the NRB, the remittance flow in the first four months of the current fiscal increased by 36.4 percent and reached Rs 3312.26 billion. The remittance inflow in the same period last year had dropped by 1.4 percent.</p>

<p>The ministry released the statistics in response to the comments made public regarding some financial statistics presented by the Prime Minister to the House of Representatives on January 6, arguing that the figures were based on facts.</p>

<p>The number of Indian tourists visiting Nepal has also increased by 25.1 percent to 200,483 as compared to last year. Likewise, the number of Sri Lankan tourists increased by 55.7 percent during the review period. In total, the number of tourists from SAARC nations increased by 26 percent to 301,963 in 2018.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepal welcomed the second largest number of tourists from China in 2018. A total of 153,602 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in 2018, which is 46.8 percent more than the preceding year.</p>

<p>Likewise, the number of tourists from Thailand increased by 36 percent, South Korea by 8.3 percent and Japan by 8.9 percent, according to the department.</p>

<p>There has been a significant increase in the number of tourists from European countries. The number of tourists (63,086) visiting Nepal from the United Kingdom has increased by 15.6 percent while 36,833 German tourists visited Nepal during the review period, which is an increase by 23.1 percent.</p>

<p>31,653 visitors from France accounted for 21.1 percent rise in the number of French tourists while 91,785 tourists from the USA visited Nepal, which is an increase by 16 percent as compared to 2017.</p>

	The charge-sheet filed by the anti-graft body on Monday (January 7) states that Khadka amassed property worth Rs 186.6 million without known sources of income.</p>

	CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that Khadka has been hiding his income earned through illegal means in bank accounts of his relatives and other close persons.</p>
<p>
	It has been reported that Khadka used the black money to purchase land, house and vehicles in the name of Amita Lama Samden of Budhanilkantha Municipality.</p>
<p>
	The anti-graft body said that Lama owns a house worth Rs 32.5 million in Hattigauda, a Tucson car worth Rs 8.4 million and another house in the then Mahankal VDC estimated to be of Rs 35 million and land worth Rs 4 million in Budhanilkantha, all funded by Khadka.</p>
<p>
	Khadka has been using ATM cards of NMB Bank and Citizens Bank issued in the name of Lama.</p>
<p>
	The former executive director of the state-owned oil monopoly is accused to have purchased three houses through illegal means besides having two ancestral houses. He has also allegedly paid advance for two more houses. The CIAA has claimed that he has purchased plots of land in 11 different places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre and the estimated cost of all the land is said to be Rs 116.1 million. He has also purchased shares of different companies worth Rs 10.6 million, according to CIAA. &nbsp;</p>
<p>
	The state-run news agency, Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), said that the case was filed by the anti-graft body after a long investigation. RSS quoted spokesperson of the CIAA Dangal as saying that Khadka has been charged of amassing property by abusing his authority while he served as the head of the NOC and in other government agencies.</p>

	CIAA has said in the charge-sheet that it could not present Khadka in the court as he is currently at large.</p>

<p>The state-run news agency further said that the handover of responsibility of dealing with some areas of taxes including vehicle registration, land and house rent to the province and local levels led to the increase.</p>

<p>The ministry, quoting the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), said that the annual basic price was 4.2 per cent in the first four months of the current fiscal.</p>

<p>Likewise, the statistics of Financial Comptroller General Office show that the total expenditure in the first five months (as of mid-December) increased by seven per cent while current expenditure decreased by 13 per cent and the capital expenditure witnessed a 25.3 percent rise, RSS said.</p>

<p>The ministry concluded that the low amount of total expenditure was due to austerity measures adopted by the government in current expenditure. Last year, the figure was high due to the elections.</p>

<p>The figure of people setting out for abroad jobs in the first five months went down by 41.2 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year while the remittance flow increased by 36 percent.</p>

<p>According to the NRB, the remittance flow in the first four months of the current fiscal increased by 36.4 percent and reached Rs 3312.26 billion. The remittance inflow in the same period last year had dropped by 1.4 percent.</p>

<p>The ministry released the statistics in response to the comments made public regarding some financial statistics presented by the Prime Minister to the House of Representatives on January 6, arguing that the figures were based on facts.</p>

<p>The Department of Immigration informed New Business Age that 1,173,072 tourists visited Nepal in 2018. The number of tourists visiting Nepal in 2017 was 940,217, according to data provided by the department.</p>

<p>The department further said that 969,287 tourists visited Nepal in 2018 through air route while 203785 tourists visited through land route.</p>

<p>The number of Indian tourists visiting Nepal has also increased by 25.1 percent to 200,483 as compared to last year. Likewise, the number of Sri Lankan tourists increased by 55.7 percent during the review period. In total, the number of tourists from SAARC nations increased by 26 percent to 301,963 in 2018.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepal welcomed the second largest number of tourists from China in 2018. A total of 153,602 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in 2018, which is 46.8 percent more than the preceding year.</p>

<p>Likewise, the number of tourists from Thailand increased by 36 percent, South Korea by 8.3 percent and Japan by 8.9 percent, according to the department.</p>

<p>There has been a significant increase in the number of tourists from European countries. The number of tourists (63,086) visiting Nepal from the United Kingdom has increased by 15.6 percent while 36,833 German tourists visited Nepal during the review period, which is an increase by 23.1 percent.</p>

<p>31,653 visitors from France accounted for 21.1 percent rise in the number of French tourists while 91,785 tourists from the USA visited Nepal, which is an increase by 16 percent as compared to 2017.</p>

	The charge-sheet filed by the anti-graft body on Monday (January 7) states that Khadka amassed property worth Rs 186.6 million without known sources of income.</p>

	CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that Khadka has been hiding his income earned through illegal means in bank accounts of his relatives and other close persons.</p>
<p>
	It has been reported that Khadka used the black money to purchase land, house and vehicles in the name of Amita Lama Samden of Budhanilkantha Municipality.</p>
<p>
	The anti-graft body said that Lama owns a house worth Rs 32.5 million in Hattigauda, a Tucson car worth Rs 8.4 million and another house in the then Mahankal VDC estimated to be of Rs 35 million and land worth Rs 4 million in Budhanilkantha, all funded by Khadka.</p>
<p>
	Khadka has been using ATM cards of NMB Bank and Citizens Bank issued in the name of Lama.</p>
<p>
	The former executive director of the state-owned oil monopoly is accused to have purchased three houses through illegal means besides having two ancestral houses. He has also allegedly paid advance for two more houses. The CIAA has claimed that he has purchased plots of land in 11 different places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre and the estimated cost of all the land is said to be Rs 116.1 million. He has also purchased shares of different companies worth Rs 10.6 million, according to CIAA. &nbsp;</p>

	The state-run news agency, Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), said that the case was filed by the anti-graft body after a long investigation. RSS quoted spokesperson of the CIAA Dangal as saying that Khadka has been charged of amassing property by abusing his authority while he served as the head of the NOC and in other government agencies.</p>

<p>Likewise, the statistics of Financial Comptroller General Office show that the total expenditure in the first five months (as of mid-December) increased by seven per cent while current expenditure decreased by 13 per cent and the capital expenditure witnessed a 25.3 percent rise, RSS said.</p>

<p>The ministry concluded that the low amount of total expenditure was due to austerity measures adopted by the government in current expenditure. Last year, the figure was high due to the elections.</p>

<p>The figure of people setting out for abroad jobs in the first five months went down by 41.2 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year while the remittance flow increased by 36 percent.</p>

<p>According to the NRB, the remittance flow in the first four months of the current fiscal increased by 36.4 percent and reached Rs 3312.26 billion. The remittance inflow in the same period last year had dropped by 1.4 percent.</p>

<p>The ministry released the statistics in response to the comments made public regarding some financial statistics presented by the Prime Minister to the House of Representatives on January 6, arguing that the figures were based on facts.</p>

Likewise, the number of Sri Lankan tourists increased by 55.7 percent during the review period. In total, the number of tourists from SAARC nations increased by 26 percent to 301,963 in 2018.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepal welcomed the second largest number of tourists from China in 2018. A total of 153,602 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in 2018, which is 46.8 percent more than the preceding year.</p>

<p>Likewise, the number of tourists from Thailand increased by 36 percent, South Korea by 8.3 percent and Japan by 8.9 percent, according to the department.</p>

<p>There has been a significant increase in the number of tourists from European countries. The number of tourists (63,086) visiting Nepal from the United Kingdom has increased by 15.6 percent while 36,833 German tourists visited Nepal during the review period, which is an increase by 23.1 percent.</p>

<p>31,653 visitors from France accounted for 21.1 percent rise in the number of French tourists while 91,785 tourists from the USA visited Nepal, which is an increase by 16 percent as compared to 2017.</p>

	The charge-sheet filed by the anti-graft body on Monday (January 7) states that Khadka amassed property worth Rs 186.6 million without known sources of income.</p>

	CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that Khadka has been hiding his income earned through illegal means in bank accounts of his relatives and other close persons.</p>

	It has been reported that Khadka used the black money to purchase land, house and vehicles in the name of Amita Lama Samden of Budhanilkantha Municipality.</p>
<p>
	The anti-graft body said that Lama owns a house worth Rs 32.5 million in Hattigauda, a Tucson car worth Rs 8.4 million and another house in the then Mahankal VDC estimated to be of Rs 35 million and land worth Rs 4 million in Budhanilkantha, all funded by Khadka.</p>
<p>
	Khadka has been using ATM cards of NMB Bank and Citizens Bank issued in the name of Lama.</p>
<p>
	The former executive director of the state-owned oil monopoly is accused to have purchased three houses through illegal means besides having two ancestral houses. He has also allegedly paid advance for two more houses. The CIAA has claimed that he has purchased plots of land in 11 different places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre and the estimated cost of all the land is said to be Rs 116.1 million. He has also purchased shares of different companies worth Rs 10.6 million, according to CIAA. &nbsp;</p>

	The state-run news agency, Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), said that the case was filed by the anti-graft body after a long investigation. RSS quoted spokesperson of the CIAA Dangal as saying that Khadka has been charged of amassing property by abusing his authority while he served as the head of the NOC and in other government agencies.</p>

<p>Likewise, the statistics of Financial Comptroller General Office show that the total expenditure in the first five months (as of mid-December) increased by seven per cent while current expenditure decreased by 13 per cent and the capital expenditure witnessed a 25.3 percent rise, RSS said.</p>

<p>The ministry concluded that the low amount of total expenditure was due to austerity measures adopted by the government in current expenditure. Last year, the figure was high due to the elections.</p>

<p>The figure of people setting out for abroad jobs in the first five months went down by 41.2 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year while the remittance flow increased by 36 percent.</p>

<p>According to the NRB, the remittance flow in the first four months of the current fiscal increased by 36.4 percent and reached Rs 3312.26 billion. The remittance inflow in the same period last year had dropped by 1.4 percent.</p>

<p>The ministry released the statistics in response to the comments made public regarding some financial statistics presented by the Prime Minister to the House of Representatives on January 6, arguing that the figures were based on facts.</p>

Likewise, the number of Sri Lankan tourists increased by 55.7 percent during the review period. In total, the number of tourists from SAARC nations increased by 26 percent to 301,963 in 2018.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepal welcomed the second largest number of tourists from China in 2018. A total of 153,602 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in 2018, which is 46.8 percent more than the preceding year.</p>

<p>Likewise, the number of tourists from Thailand increased by 36 percent, South Korea by 8.3 percent and Japan by 8.9 percent, according to the department.</p>

<p>There has been a significant increase in the number of tourists from European countries. The number of tourists (63,086) visiting Nepal from the United Kingdom has increased by 15.6 percent while 36,833 German tourists visited Nepal during the review period, which is an increase by 23.1 percent.</p>

<p>31,653 visitors from France accounted for 21.1 percent rise in the number of French tourists while 91,785 tourists from the USA visited Nepal, which is an increase by 16 percent as compared to 2017.</p>

<p>The service which started on Tuesday, January 8, will run till January 26. According to the company, the service camp will be organized at all service centers across the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;During this free service camp, the company will provide benefits like free vehicle check-up, free top wash, up to 20 percent discount on spare parts and 20 percent discount on accessories and much more,&rdquo; reads a statement issued by the company.</p>

<p>According to the company, the winter service camp is an initiative taken by Pioneer Moto Corp to provide a better and premium ownership experience to its customers. The service camp will help the vehicle owners maintain the health and performance of their vehicles during the winter season.</p>

	January 8: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against former executive director of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Gopal Khadka at the Special Court on the charge of amassing property through illegal means.</p>
<p>
	The charge-sheet filed by the anti-graft body on Monday (January 7) states that Khadka amassed property worth Rs 186.6 million without known sources of income.</p>
<p>
	CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that Khadka has been hiding his income earned through illegal means in bank accounts of his relatives and other close persons.</p>
<p>
	It has been reported that Khadka used the black money to purchase land, house and vehicles in the name of Amita Lama Samden of Budhanilkantha Municipality.</p>
<p>
	The anti-graft body said that Lama owns a house worth Rs 32.5 million in Hattigauda, a Tucson car worth Rs 8.4 million and another house in the then Mahankal VDC estimated to be of Rs 35 million and land worth Rs 4 million in Budhanilkantha, all funded by Khadka.</p>
<p>
	Khadka has been using ATM cards of NMB Bank and Citizens Bank issued in the name of Lama.</p>
<p>
	The former executive director of the state-owned oil monopoly is accused to have purchased three houses through illegal means besides having two ancestral houses. He has also allegedly paid advance for two more houses. The CIAA has claimed that he has purchased plots of land in 11 different places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre and the estimated cost of all the land is said to be Rs 116.1 million. He has also purchased shares of different companies worth Rs 10.6 million, according to CIAA. &nbsp;</p>
<p>
	The state-run news agency, Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), said that the case was filed by the anti-graft body after a long investigation. RSS quoted spokesperson of the CIAA Dangal as saying that Khadka has been charged of amassing property by abusing his authority while he served as the head of the NOC and in other government agencies.</p>
<p>
	CIAA has said in the charge-sheet that it could not present Khadka in the court as he is currently at large.</p>
