Last year, the figure was high due to the elections.</p> <p>The figure of people setting out for abroad jobs in the first five months went down by 41.2 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year while the remittance flow increased by 36 percent.</p> <p>According to the NRB, the remittance flow in the first four months of the current fiscal increased by 36.4 percent and reached Rs 3312.26 billion. In total, the number of tourists from SAARC nations increased by 26 percent to 301,963 in 2018.</p> <p>Meanwhile, Nepal welcomed the second largest number of tourists from China in 2018. A total of 153,602 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in 2018, which is 46.8 percent more than the preceding year.</p> <p>Likewise, the number of tourists from Thailand increased by 36 percent, South Korea by 8.3 percent and Japan by 8.9 percent, according to the department.</p> <p>There has been a significant increase in the number of tourists from European countries. Last year, the figure was high due to the elections.</p> <p>The figure of people setting out for abroad jobs in the first five months went down by 41.2 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year while the remittance flow increased by 36 percent.</p> <p>According to the NRB, the remittance flow in the first four months of the current fiscal increased by 36.4 percent and reached Rs 3312.26 billion. He has also allegedly paid advance for two more houses. The CIAA has claimed that he has purchased plots of land in 11 different places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre and the estimated cost of all the land is said to be Rs 116.1 million. The CIAA has claimed that he has purchased plots of land in 11 different places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre and the estimated cost of all the land is said to be Rs 116.1 million.
