Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Next Growth Conclave 2017, he said that entrepreneurship is gradually growing in Nepal. He shared his own entrepreneurial journey and suggested the startups to give more priority to relation building with its team and customers rather than just to focus on financial transaction in their initial years of operation. The conclave held in the capital saw participation of around 20 national and international speakers who spoke about various aspects of entrepreneurship.

A panel discussion about ‘Decoding Business Growth’ was one of the highlights of the event. The discussion saw the participation of Hem Raj Dhakal, co-founder and managing director of IME Group; Vijay Kumar, founder of Bizztor, India; Dr Upendra Mahato; and Warren Leow, vice president of Imagine Group, Malaysia.

Dhakal of IME Group said that the core values of business should be realized before initiating the business. “Implementing the right ideas in the right time and creating opportunity will benefit the society,” he said. He stressed that accountability towards public, investing in human capital, continuous updates and improvement in business ideas and activities and morality plays are important to make the venture successful.

Similarly, Mahato said that working closely with any social entity will make the entrepreneur disciplined and more close to the people. “Ultimately, business is all about providing service and taking return from the people. So, being closer to societal elements while doing business has to be an inevitable part of busienss,” said Mahato.

Similarly, Vijay Kumar shared that in-depth research before starting a business and having a core process and hiring the right team are essential for business scalability.

“In entrepreneurship, you make your own luck through enough experience and even by making mistakes. The more hard you work, the more luck you will gain,” shared Warran Leow. He viewed that startups going to Initial Public Offering (IPO) after certain years is good and it makes them more accountable towards the public.

The day-long conclave focused on discussion related to smart cities, smart nations, tourism and technology, ICT for good governance, design thinking to grow faster and paving the way for global expansion.

', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2017-12-22', 'modified' => '2017-12-22', 'keywords' => '', 'description' => '', 'sortorder' => '6964', 'image' => '20171222051418_20171222130351__MG_0011.jpg', 'article_date' => '2017-12-22 00:00:00', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => true, 'in_scroller' => false, 'user_id' => '16' ) ), (int) 4 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '7179', 'article_category_id' => '1', 'title' => 'Chaudhary Receives ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award’', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => 'December 22: Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has been awarded with the ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award.’ ', 'content' => '
December 22: Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has been awarded with the ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award.’ Chaudhary who is also the president of the industrial conglomerate Chaudhary Group was honoured for his contribution to the hospitality sector.

ITP Media Group of India is the organiser of the award which has been honouring personalities from different countries every year for their contributions to the hospitality sector.

', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2017-12-22', 'modified' => '2017-12-22', 'keywords' => '', 'description' => '', 'sortorder' => '6964', 'image' => '20171222051418_20171222130351__MG_0011.jpg', 'article_date' => '2017-12-22 00:00:00', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => true, 'in_scroller' => false, 'user_id' => '16' ) ), (int) 4 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '7179', 'article_category_id' => '1', 'title' => 'Chaudhary Receives ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award’', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => 'December 22: Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has been awarded with the ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award.’ ', 'content' => '

', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2017-12-22', 'modified' => '2017-12-22', 'keywords' => '', 'description' => '', 'sortorder' => '6964', 'image' => '20171222051418_20171222130351__MG_0011.jpg', 'article_date' => '2017-12-22 00:00:00', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => true, 'in_scroller' => false, 'user_id' => '16' ) ), (int) 4 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '7179', 'article_category_id' => '1', 'title' => 'Chaudhary Receives ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award’', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => 'December 22: Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has been awarded with the ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award.’ ', 'content' => '

', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2017-12-22', 'modified' => '2017-12-22', 'keywords' => '', 'description' => '', 'sortorder' => '6964', 'image' => '20171222051418_20171222130351__MG_0011.jpg', 'article_date' => '2017-12-22 00:00:00', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => true, 'in_scroller' => false, 'user_id' => '16' ) ), (int) 4 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '7179', 'article_category_id' => '1', 'title' => 'Chaudhary Receives ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award’', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => 'December 22: Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has been awarded with the ‘Hotelier India Lifetime Achievement Award.’ ', 'content' => '
