			'content' => '<p>December 26: Inter-banking transaction has been declining in the current fiscal year in comparison to last year. In the first four months of FY 2017/2018, inter-banking transaction has reduced by Rs 79.23 billion compared to the corresponding period of last year.</p>

<p>Last year, the banks had done inter-banking transaction worth Rs 400.33 billion. According to NRB, the transaction has been Rs 321.10 billion in the first four months this year. Experts say that there is enough investible capital this year.</p>

<p>Along with the transaction, the interest rate for inter-banking transaction has also reduced in comparison to last FY. The interest rate was around 3.59 percent at this period of last FY whereas it is 2.68 per cent at present. During the review period last year, banks were lending from each other even at high interest rates due to lack of investible capital.</p>

<p>Inter-banking transaction of other BFIs except the commercial banks has also been reduced compared to last FY. The transaction has reduced by Rs 113.52 billion. The BFIs had carried out transactions worth Rs 120.75 billion last year but that has shrunk to Rs 7.18 billion this year. &nbsp;Inter-banking lending rate of those BFIs has dropped to 4.25 percent at present. Las year the rate was 5.8 percent.</p>

<p>There has been concern regarding he declining level of liquidity in the market like last year. However, looking at the inter-banking interest rate, experts say that there is no lack of investable capital in the market currently. According to NRB, the liquidity was Rs 70 billion one month back, whereas it has now reduced to Rs 27 billion.</p>

An engineer involved in the post-earthquake reconstruction, Mani Das, said that the reconstruction work has improved with the start of the current fiscal year. According to him, the import of construction materials has seen a massive rise, which is a positive sign.</p>

<p>Talking about the NRB update, Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Shekhar Golchha opines, &ldquo;The government&rsquo;s effort to create an investment-friendly environment in the country has led major sectors of the country towards a positive direction. If there is political stability in the country, the industrial sector will see a drastic change,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Anil Agrawal, vice president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), confirmed that an indefinite ban has been imposed by the Indian Railways. Likewise, BCCI President Om Prakash Sharma informed that the government of Nepal didn&rsquo;t show any interest in addressing the environmental concerns raised by the Raxaul residents.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The ban has caused worries among Bara and Parsa based cement factories. If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepali importers have requested a delegation of Indian Railways officials who visited Birgunj to review decision but the officials expressed their helplessness mentioning the decision came from the high level railway authorities.</p>

<p>Due to the protests, nine containers of Indian Railways carrying clinker are stranded on the way.</p>

<p>Earlier, residents of Raxaul had been protesting against the transportation of clinker to Nepal since a long time reasoning the increasing air pollution. They had even warned to close the customs point if their demand was not addressed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last year, the banks had done inter-banking transaction worth Rs 400.33 billion. According to NRB, the transaction has been Rs 321.10 billion in the first four months this year. Experts say that there is enough investible capital this year.</p>

<p>Along with the transaction, the interest rate for inter-banking transaction has also reduced in comparison to last FY. The interest rate was around 3.59 percent at this period of last FY whereas it is 2.68 per cent at present. During the review period last year, banks were lending from each other even at high interest rates due to lack of investible capital.</p>

<p>Inter-banking transaction of other BFIs except the commercial banks has also been reduced compared to last FY. The transaction has reduced by Rs 113.52 billion. The BFIs had carried out transactions worth Rs 120.75 billion last year but that has shrunk to Rs 7.18 billion this year. &nbsp;Inter-banking lending rate of those BFIs has dropped to 4.25 percent at present. Las year the rate was 5.8 percent.</p>

<p>There has been concern regarding he declining level of liquidity in the market like last year. However, looking at the inter-banking interest rate, experts say that there is no lack of investable capital in the market currently. According to NRB, the liquidity was Rs 70 billion one month back, whereas it has now reduced to Rs 27 billion.</p>

<p>Anil Agrawal, vice president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), confirmed that an indefinite ban has been imposed by the Indian Railways. Likewise, BCCI President Om Prakash Sharma informed that the government of Nepal didn&rsquo;t show any interest in addressing the environmental concerns raised by the Raxaul residents.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The ban has caused worries among Bara and Parsa based cement factories. If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepali importers have requested a delegation of Indian Railways officials who visited Birgunj to review decision but the officials expressed their helplessness mentioning the decision came from the high level railway authorities.</p>

<p>Due to the protests, nine containers of Indian Railways carrying clinker are stranded on the way.</p>

<p>Earlier, residents of Raxaul had been protesting against the transportation of clinker to Nepal since a long time reasoning the increasing air pollution. They had even warned to close the customs point if their demand was not addressed.&nbsp;</p>

			'content' => '<p>December 26: Inter-banking transaction has been declining in the current fiscal year in comparison to last year. In the first four months of FY 2017/2018, inter-banking transaction has reduced by Rs 79.23 billion compared to the corresponding period of last year.</p>

<p>Last year, the banks had done inter-banking transaction worth Rs 400.33 billion. According to NRB, the transaction has been Rs 321.10 billion in the first four months this year. Experts say that there is enough investible capital this year.</p>

<p>Along with the transaction, the interest rate for inter-banking transaction has also reduced in comparison to last FY. The interest rate was around 3.59 percent at this period of last FY whereas it is 2.68 per cent at present. During the review period last year, banks were lending from each other even at high interest rates due to lack of investible capital.</p>

<p>Inter-banking transaction of other BFIs except the commercial banks has also been reduced compared to last FY. The transaction has reduced by Rs 113.52 billion. The BFIs had carried out transactions worth Rs 120.75 billion last year but that has shrunk to Rs 7.18 billion this year. &nbsp;Inter-banking lending rate of those BFIs has dropped to 4.25 percent at present. Las year the rate was 5.8 percent.</p>

<p>There has been concern regarding he declining level of liquidity in the market like last year. However, looking at the inter-banking interest rate, experts say that there is no lack of investable capital in the market currently. According to NRB, the liquidity was Rs 70 billion one month back, whereas it has now reduced to Rs 27 billion.</p>

<p>According to the update, the country has imported large amount of infrastructural and construction materials like cement, aluminum, and steel among others in the first four months of the current fiscal year. NRB views it as an indicator to reasonable progress level of physical infrastructure development and increased economic activities in the area of industries and tourism sector. The report also shows improved occupancy rate among hotels.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the NRB update also asserts gradual pickup in post-earthquake reconstruction. An engineer involved in the post-earthquake reconstruction, Mani Das, said that the reconstruction work has improved with the start of the current fiscal year. According to him, the import of construction materials has seen a massive rise, which is a positive sign.</p>

<p>Talking about the NRB update, Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Shekhar Golchha opines, &ldquo;The government&rsquo;s effort to create an investment-friendly environment in the country has led major sectors of the country towards a positive direction. If there is political stability in the country, the industrial sector will see a drastic change,&rdquo; he added.</p>

Likewise, BCCI President Om Prakash Sharma informed that the government of Nepal didn&rsquo;t show any interest in addressing the environmental concerns raised by the Raxaul residents.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The ban has caused worries among Bara and Parsa based cement factories. If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepali importers have requested a delegation of Indian Railways officials who visited Birgunj to review decision but the officials expressed their helplessness mentioning the decision came from the high level railway authorities.</p>

<p>Due to the protests, nine containers of Indian Railways carrying clinker are stranded on the way.</p>

<p>Earlier, residents of Raxaul had been protesting against the transportation of clinker to Nepal since a long time reasoning the increasing air pollution. They had even warned to close the customs point if their demand was not addressed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last year, the banks had done inter-banking transaction worth Rs 400.33 billion. According to NRB, the transaction has been Rs 321.10 billion in the first four months this year. Experts say that there is enough investible capital this year.</p>

<p>Along with the transaction, the interest rate for inter-banking transaction has also reduced in comparison to last FY. The interest rate was around 3.59 percent at this period of last FY whereas it is 2.68 per cent at present. During the review period last year, banks were lending from each other even at high interest rates due to lack of investible capital.</p>

<p>Inter-banking transaction of other BFIs except the commercial banks has also been reduced compared to last FY. The transaction has reduced by Rs 113.52 billion. The BFIs had carried out transactions worth Rs 120.75 billion last year but that has shrunk to Rs 7.18 billion this year. &nbsp;Inter-banking lending rate of those BFIs has dropped to 4.25 percent at present. Las year the rate was 5.8 percent.</p>

<p>There has been concern regarding he declining level of liquidity in the market like last year. However, looking at the inter-banking interest rate, experts say that there is no lack of investable capital in the market currently. According to NRB, the liquidity was Rs 70 billion one month back, whereas it has now reduced to Rs 27 billion.</p>

<p>The organisers informed that the event will allow visitors to enjoy domestic and international cuisines on the streets along with live music. Gurung informed that Reban is expecting a total footfall of 500,000 individuals in the event, 30 percent of them being foreign tourists and rest domestic visitors.</p>

The report also shows improved occupancy rate among hotels.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the NRB update also asserts gradual pickup in post-earthquake reconstruction. An engineer involved in the post-earthquake reconstruction, Mani Das, said that the reconstruction work has improved with the start of the current fiscal year. According to him, the import of construction materials has seen a massive rise, which is a positive sign.</p>

<p>Talking about the NRB update, Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Shekhar Golchha opines, &ldquo;The government&rsquo;s effort to create an investment-friendly environment in the country has led major sectors of the country towards a positive direction. If there is political stability in the country, the industrial sector will see a drastic change,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Anil Agrawal, vice president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), confirmed that an indefinite ban has been imposed by the Indian Railways. Likewise, BCCI President Om Prakash Sharma informed that the government of Nepal didn&rsquo;t show any interest in addressing the environmental concerns raised by the Raxaul residents.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The ban has caused worries among Bara and Parsa based cement factories. If the government doesn&rsquo;t initiate dialogue with the Government of India immediately, the cement factories will crumble,&rdquo; said Sharma. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t understand why the government is not serious about the issue,&rdquo; he questioned.</p>

<p>Altogether, 13 cement factories of Bara and Parsa import clinkers from Birgunj Customs Point.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nepali importers have requested a delegation of Indian Railways officials who visited Birgunj to review decision but the officials expressed their helplessness mentioning the decision came from the high level railway authorities.</p>

<p>Due to the protests, nine containers of Indian Railways carrying clinker are stranded on the way.</p>

<p>Earlier, residents of Raxaul had been protesting against the transportation of clinker to Nepal since a long time reasoning the increasing air pollution. They had even warned to close the customs point if their demand was not addressed.&nbsp;</p>
