This was the fifth edition of the BMJ South Asia Awards held in Chennai, India on December 1.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to NAS, more than 1500 nominations were received from across South Asia in categories such as Excellence in Medical Education, Healthcare Innovation and Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Team of the Year among others. The finalists were from across the region, with representation from India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal.</p>

<p>After receiving the award, president of Nepal Ambulance Service (NAS), Ranjit Acharya, said, &quot;We are very delighted and proud to win this award. The credit for this award goes to the entire team due to whom we could win this award representing Nepal. We are very thankful to the British Medical Journal for this award.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Acharya added that any one can call the toll-free number of NAS at 102 for emergency assistance round the clock.</p>

<p>According to Acharya, the emergency telephone call is directed to the NAS dispatch center where an agent screens the call for response details and dispatches the closest available ambulance.</p>

<p>He claimed that NAS is providing international standard health service with the help of EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) in each ambulance.</p>

<p>According to NAS, more than 1500 nominations were received from across South Asia in categories such as Excellence in Medical Education, Healthcare Innovation and Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Team of the Year among others. The finalists were from across the region, with representation from India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal.</p>

<p>After receiving the award, president of Nepal Ambulance Service (NAS), Ranjit Acharya, said, &quot;We are very delighted and proud to win this award. The credit for this award goes to the entire team due to whom we could win this award representing Nepal. We are very thankful to the British Medical Journal for this award.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Acharya added that any one can call the toll-free number of NAS at 102 for emergency assistance round the clock.</p>

<p>According to Acharya, the emergency telephone call is directed to the NAS dispatch center where an agent screens the call for response details and dispatches the closest available ambulance.</p>

<p>According to NAS, more than 1500 nominations were received from across South Asia in categories such as Excellence in Medical Education, Healthcare Innovation and Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Team of the Year among others. The finalists were from across the region, with representation from India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal.</p>

<p>After receiving the award, president of Nepal Ambulance Service (NAS), Ranjit Acharya, said, &quot;We are very delighted and proud to win this award. The credit for this award goes to the entire team due to whom we could win this award representing Nepal. We are very thankful to the British Medical Journal for this award.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Acharya added that any one can call the toll-free number of NAS at 102 for emergency assistance round the clock.</p>

			'content' => '<p>December 9: MetLife, a global insurance company, unveiled two new digital solutions to enhance its customer experience as the company marked 17 years of service in Nepal.</p>

<p>According to the company, the two digital solutions include a Global Sales and Servicing Platform (GSSP)-powered mobility sales solution called KITE, and a new and improved website to help customers navigate their products and services with more ease.</p>

<p>The new digital initiatives were launched by chairman of MetLife for Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar, M Nurul Islam in a recent event in Kathmandu.</p>

<p>KITE is a digital sales application that enables the company agents and financial planning consultants to provide its customers with a seamless and differentiated on-boarding experience &ndash; anytime, anywhere, reads a statement issued by the company.</p>

<p>According to the compnany, interested customers can now learn about insurance, see illustrations, complete application form and submit it digitally through the KITE application. MetLife claimed that the new digital solution is the first of its kind to be introduced throughout the insurance industry of Nepal and will be available to selected agents in the first phase of the launch.</p>

<p>MetLife Nepal said it also revamped its website, <a href="http://www.metlife.com.np/">www.metlife.com.np</a>, with a new global web experience, hosted on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform with integration to Adobe Analytics. This migration enables viewers easy access into MetLife&rsquo;s site with necessary information regarding the solutions provided by the company and other relevant information, the statement added.</p>

<p>According to NAS, more than 1500 nominations were received from across South Asia in categories such as Excellence in Medical Education, Healthcare Innovation and Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Team of the Year among others. The finalists were from across the region, with representation from India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal.</p>

<p>After receiving the award, president of Nepal Ambulance Service (NAS), Ranjit Acharya, said, &quot;We are very delighted and proud to win this award. The credit for this award goes to the entire team due to whom we could win this award representing Nepal. We are very thankful to the British Medical Journal for this award.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Acharya added that any one can call the toll-free number of NAS at 102 for emergency assistance round the clock.</p>

<p>According to Acharya, the emergency telephone call is directed to the NAS dispatch center where an agent screens the call for response details and dispatches the closest available ambulance.</p>

<p>He claimed that NAS is providing international standard health service with the help of EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) in each ambulance.</p>

<p>Participating students got an opportunity to involve in resume writing, group discussion and mock interview sessions. The students also got opportunity to interview the twenty participating companies.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The new digital initiatives were launched by chairman of MetLife for Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar, M Nurul Islam in a recent event in Kathmandu.</p>

<p>KITE is a digital sales application that enables the company agents and financial planning consultants to provide its customers with a seamless and differentiated on-boarding experience &ndash; anytime, anywhere, reads a statement issued by the company.</p>

<p>According to the compnany, interested customers can now learn about insurance, see illustrations, complete application form and submit it digitally through the KITE application. MetLife claimed that the new digital solution is the first of its kind to be introduced throughout the insurance industry of Nepal and will be available to selected agents in the first phase of the launch.</p>

<p>MetLife Nepal said it also revamped its website, <a href="http://www.metlife.com.np/">www.metlife.com.np</a>, with a new global web experience, hosted on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform with integration to Adobe Analytics. This migration enables viewers easy access into MetLife&rsquo;s site with necessary information regarding the solutions provided by the company and other relevant information, the statement added.</p>
