			'content' => '<p>December 4: Japan handed over five bridges which were recently constructed along the Barhakilo-Barpak road in Gorkha, the epicenter of the devastating earthquake of 2015, to the government of Nepal on Monday, December 3.</p>

<p>The two governments had signed an agreement in Decemebr 2015 for Japanese grant assistance to be provided for major infrastructure reconstruction and rehabilitation including the three bridges in Gorkha.</p>

<p>According to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the subproject of bridge construction along Barhakilo-Barpak Road is one of the three sub-projects under the umbrella grant agreement&nbsp; entitled Program for Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake.</p>

<p>JICA said in a statement that the subproject amounting to 930 million Japanese yen was initiated to support the speedy reconstruction and recovery in the earthquake affected areas by ensuring all-season reliable access to the northern parts of Gorkha district.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The construction of the three PC (pre-stressed concrete) bridges by the grant subproject &ndash; Daraudi Khola Bridge, Ghatte Khola Bridge, and Rangrung Khola Bridge &ndash; was completed in July 2018. In addition, two RC (reinforced concrete) bridges &ndash; Khahare Khola Bridge and Jhyalla Khola Bridge &ndash; were also constructed by another JICA technical cooperation project, the Project on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the handover ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, expressed his hope that the five newly constructed bridges will enable the people to access other communities, major markets and cities conveniently and safely throughout the year, and this would contribute to enhance the accessibility to public services, and to improve the economic activities in the northern parts of Gorkha.</p>

<p>Newly appointed chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Yumiko Asakuma, reiterated JICA&rsquo;s commitment to continuing its support to the post-earthquake recovery in Nepal based on the Build Back Better (BBB) concept. &nbsp;</p>

The four-day expo, which was organised by Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) with an aim to introduce domestic products in the international market, concluded on Monday, December 3.</p>

<p>Around 50,000 visitors observed the expo which displayed various national and international products, informed the organiser. Traders from China exhibited and traded different natural and herbal products during the expo. Likewise, Myanmar&rsquo;s dealers traded food products while Nepali entrepreneurs traded handicraft products at the expo. Other traders exhibiting products such as automobiles, electric appliances, flooring and furnishing matters, smart phones and food products.</p>

<p>The expo featured 110 stalls from different countries including Nepal, India, Myanmar, China, Pakistan and Korea.</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to NCC, the expo was focused on promoting export and attracting foreign investment in the country. During the event, NCC also signed Business to Business (B2B) agreement with Myanmar. The organiser believes that the expo helped not only in introducing domestic products in the international market but also contributed in promoting tourism and agriculture sector of the country.</p>

<p>However, the expo this year was not as fruitful as the previous edition, said the organiser. Chairman of NCC&rsquo;s exhibition committee, Rastra Bhusan Chakubaji, said the expo was not as rewarding as expected due to the unmanaged traffic. He further added that the Asia Pacific Summit also had an adverse effect on the expo.</p>

<p>NCC had organised the expo in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Industry and Supply and Trade and Export Promotion Center.</p>

<p>The main sponsor of the event was Nestle while Heritage Corporate was the co-sponsor. Similarly, Myanmar was the partner country for the expo. Considering the risk at the expo, the organiser had also purchased an insurance policy from Prabhu Life Insurance.</p>

<p>Increasing number of aircraft in the domestic aviation industry and registration of new airlines along with the increase in number of VVIP flights in the recent time has increased the number of flights.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>In 2014, 17 airline operators had operated their aircraft for 68,536 times and boarded 1,450,558 passengers.</p>

<p>The two governments had signed an agreement in Decemebr 2015 for Japanese grant assistance to be provided for major infrastructure reconstruction and rehabilitation including the three bridges in Gorkha.</p>

<p>According to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the subproject of bridge construction along Barhakilo-Barpak Road is one of the three sub-projects under the umbrella grant agreement&nbsp; entitled Program for Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake.</p>

<p>JICA said in a statement that the subproject amounting to 930 million Japanese yen was initiated to support the speedy reconstruction and recovery in the earthquake affected areas by ensuring all-season reliable access to the northern parts of Gorkha district.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The construction of the three PC (pre-stressed concrete) bridges by the grant subproject &ndash; Daraudi Khola Bridge, Ghatte Khola Bridge, and Rangrung Khola Bridge &ndash; was completed in July 2018. In addition, two RC (reinforced concrete) bridges &ndash; Khahare Khola Bridge and Jhyalla Khola Bridge &ndash; were also constructed by another JICA technical cooperation project, the Project on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the handover ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, expressed his hope that the five newly constructed bridges will enable the people to access other communities, major markets and cities conveniently and safely throughout the year, and this would contribute to enhance the accessibility to public services, and to improve the economic activities in the northern parts of Gorkha.</p>

<p>Newly appointed chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Yumiko Asakuma, reiterated JICA&rsquo;s commitment to continuing its support to the post-earthquake recovery in Nepal based on the Build Back Better (BBB) concept. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Around 50,000 visitors observed the expo which displayed various national and international products, informed the organiser. Traders from China exhibited and traded different natural and herbal products during the expo. Likewise, Myanmar&rsquo;s dealers traded food products while Nepali entrepreneurs traded handicraft products at the expo. Other traders exhibiting products such as automobiles, electric appliances, flooring and furnishing matters, smart phones and food products.</p>

<p>The expo featured 110 stalls from different countries including Nepal, India, Myanmar, China, Pakistan and Korea.</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to NCC, the expo was focused on promoting export and attracting foreign investment in the country. During the event, NCC also signed Business to Business (B2B) agreement with Myanmar. The organiser believes that the expo helped not only in introducing domestic products in the international market but also contributed in promoting tourism and agriculture sector of the country.</p>

<p>However, the expo this year was not as fruitful as the previous edition, said the organiser. Chairman of NCC&rsquo;s exhibition committee, Rastra Bhusan Chakubaji, said the expo was not as rewarding as expected due to the unmanaged traffic. He further added that the Asia Pacific Summit also had an adverse effect on the expo.</p>

<p>NCC had organised the expo in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Industry and Supply and Trade and Export Promotion Center.</p>

<p>The main sponsor of the event was Nestle while Heritage Corporate was the co-sponsor. Similarly, Myanmar was the partner country for the expo. Considering the risk at the expo, the organiser had also purchased an insurance policy from Prabhu Life Insurance.</p>

<p>The program also featured a panel discussion on the topic of &lsquo;women leadership across generations&rsquo; with panelist Chandani Joshi, Ritu Singh Vaidya and Sumana Shrestha. The discussion was focused on the many challenges being faced by women in workplace and the possible way-out to overcome them. The panel discussion was moderated by toastmaster Ravin Lama.</p>

<p>The two governments had signed an agreement in Decemebr 2015 for Japanese grant assistance to be provided for major infrastructure reconstruction and rehabilitation including the three bridges in Gorkha.</p>

<p>According to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the subproject of bridge construction along Barhakilo-Barpak Road is one of the three sub-projects under the umbrella grant agreement&nbsp; entitled Program for Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake.</p>

<p>JICA said in a statement that the subproject amounting to 930 million Japanese yen was initiated to support the speedy reconstruction and recovery in the earthquake affected areas by ensuring all-season reliable access to the northern parts of Gorkha district.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The construction of the three PC (pre-stressed concrete) bridges by the grant subproject &ndash; Daraudi Khola Bridge, Ghatte Khola Bridge, and Rangrung Khola Bridge &ndash; was completed in July 2018. In addition, two RC (reinforced concrete) bridges &ndash; Khahare Khola Bridge and Jhyalla Khola Bridge &ndash; were also constructed by another JICA technical cooperation project, the Project on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the handover ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, expressed his hope that the five newly constructed bridges will enable the people to access other communities, major markets and cities conveniently and safely throughout the year, and this would contribute to enhance the accessibility to public services, and to improve the economic activities in the northern parts of Gorkha.</p>

<p>Newly appointed chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Yumiko Asakuma, reiterated JICA&rsquo;s commitment to continuing its support to the post-earthquake recovery in Nepal based on the Build Back Better (BBB) concept. &nbsp;</p>

The four-day expo, which was organised by Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) with an aim to introduce domestic products in the international market, concluded on Monday, December 3.</p>

<p>Around 50,000 visitors observed the expo which displayed various national and international products, informed the organiser. Traders from China exhibited and traded different natural and herbal products during the expo. Likewise, Myanmar&rsquo;s dealers traded food products while Nepali entrepreneurs traded handicraft products at the expo. Other traders exhibiting products such as automobiles, electric appliances, flooring and furnishing matters, smart phones and food products.</p>

<p>The expo featured 110 stalls from different countries including Nepal, India, Myanmar, China, Pakistan and Korea.</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to NCC, the expo was focused on promoting export and attracting foreign investment in the country. During the event, NCC also signed Business to Business (B2B) agreement with Myanmar. The organiser believes that the expo helped not only in introducing domestic products in the international market but also contributed in promoting tourism and agriculture sector of the country.</p>

<p>However, the expo this year was not as fruitful as the previous edition, said the organiser. Chairman of NCC&rsquo;s exhibition committee, Rastra Bhusan Chakubaji, said the expo was not as rewarding as expected due to the unmanaged traffic. He further added that the Asia Pacific Summit also had an adverse effect on the expo.</p>

<p>NCC had organised the expo in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Industry and Supply and Trade and Export Promotion Center.</p>

<p>The main sponsor of the event was Nestle while Heritage Corporate was the co-sponsor. Similarly, Myanmar was the partner country for the expo. Considering the risk at the expo, the organiser had also purchased an insurance policy from Prabhu Life Insurance.</p>

<p>In 2014, 17 airline operators had operated their aircraft for 68,536 times and boarded 1,450,558 passengers.</p>

<p>The two governments had signed an agreement in Decemebr 2015 for Japanese grant assistance to be provided for major infrastructure reconstruction and rehabilitation including the three bridges in Gorkha.</p>

<p>According to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the subproject of bridge construction along Barhakilo-Barpak Road is one of the three sub-projects under the umbrella grant agreement&nbsp; entitled Program for Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake.</p>

<p>JICA said in a statement that the subproject amounting to 930 million Japanese yen was initiated to support the speedy reconstruction and recovery in the earthquake affected areas by ensuring all-season reliable access to the northern parts of Gorkha district.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The construction of the three PC (pre-stressed concrete) bridges by the grant subproject &ndash; Daraudi Khola Bridge, Ghatte Khola Bridge, and Rangrung Khola Bridge &ndash; was completed in July 2018. In addition, two RC (reinforced concrete) bridges &ndash; Khahare Khola Bridge and Jhyalla Khola Bridge &ndash; were also constructed by another JICA technical cooperation project, the Project on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Nepal Earthquake,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>During the handover ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, expressed his hope that the five newly constructed bridges will enable the people to access other communities, major markets and cities conveniently and safely throughout the year, and this would contribute to enhance the accessibility to public services, and to improve the economic activities in the northern parts of Gorkha.</p>

<p>Newly appointed chief representative of JICA Nepal Office, Yumiko Asakuma, reiterated JICA&rsquo;s commitment to continuing its support to the post-earthquake recovery in Nepal based on the Build Back Better (BBB) concept. &nbsp;</p>

Traders from China exhibited and traded different natural and herbal products during the expo. Likewise, Myanmar&rsquo;s dealers traded food products while Nepali entrepreneurs traded handicraft products at the expo. Other traders exhibiting products such as automobiles, electric appliances, flooring and furnishing matters, smart phones and food products.</p>

<p>The expo featured 110 stalls from different countries including Nepal, India, Myanmar, China, Pakistan and Korea.</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to NCC, the expo was focused on promoting export and attracting foreign investment in the country. During the event, NCC also signed Business to Business (B2B) agreement with Myanmar. The organiser believes that the expo helped not only in introducing domestic products in the international market but also contributed in promoting tourism and agriculture sector of the country.</p>

<p>However, the expo this year was not as fruitful as the previous edition, said the organiser. Chairman of NCC&rsquo;s exhibition committee, Rastra Bhusan Chakubaji, said the expo was not as rewarding as expected due to the unmanaged traffic. He further added that the Asia Pacific Summit also had an adverse effect on the expo.</p>

<p>NCC had organised the expo in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Industry and Supply and Trade and Export Promotion Center.</p>

<p>The main sponsor of the event was Nestle while Heritage Corporate was the co-sponsor. Similarly, Myanmar was the partner country for the expo. Considering the risk at the expo, the organiser had also purchased an insurance policy from Prabhu Life Insurance.</p>

<p>According to Velocity, MV Augusta bikes flaunt an iconic design with class-leading performance and involve use of the most advanced materials and engineering technology.</p>

<p>The company claimed that each motorcycle is assembled by expert hands with no automation done on the factory floor.</p>

<p>The company said it has introduced five models of the motorcycle, namely F3 675, BRUTALE 800RR, DRAGSTER RR, F4 ROSSO 998CC, and F4 BLANCO 998CC in the Nepali market, which are priced at Rs 4.19 million, Rs 4.39 million, 4.69 million, 5.79 and 5.79 million respectively.</p>

<p>Increasing number of aircraft in the domestic aviation industry and registration of new airlines along with the increase in number of VVIP flights in the recent time has increased the number of flights.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>In 2014, 17 airline operators had operated their aircraft for 68,536 times and boarded 1,450,558 passengers.</p>
