<p>The festival has been organsied with the objective of promoting tourism of four districts of Mechi&mdash;Taplejung, Jhapa, Ilam and Panchthar.</p>

<p>A total of 50 stalls have been kept in the festival organised by Tourism Promotion Concerned Committee.</p>

<p>The anti-graft body filed corruption cases against former governor Rawal, the then chief of Department of Notes at the central bank, Upendra Keshari Poudel, and Himalaya Bahadur Pandey, a representative of an Australian company which was assigned the responsibility for printing the polymer notes. The CIAA has sought bail amount of Rs 9.19 million from each of the three accused for allegedly embezzling a total Rs 27.3 million.</p>

<p>The charge-sheet filed at the Special Court states that all three accused are currently at large.</p>

<p>CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that they found the NRB officials involved in financial dealings with the Australian agent, printing sub-standard notes, and colluding with the foreign company against the laws among other illegal activities.</p>

<p>The Nepal Rastra Bank had printed 50 million polymer notes of Rs 10 denomination with the help of the Australian firm when Rawal headed the central bank about one and a half decades ago.</p>

<p>According to the state-run national news agency, the ministry issued a statement on Tuesday saying that that officials of the ministry and the Melamchi Drinking Water Project have been holding talks by keeping different options open to complete the development of the project. Likewise, the ministry has said that it is ready to move the project ahead without affecting the deadline even in the context where the current construction company was not in the status to carry on the project works.&nbsp;<br />
Construction works of the project should not be affected from the recent situations, the Ministry has said while appealing to all to not habour any doubts on the project but to offer constructive suggestions and motivation to the government.&nbsp;<br />
It was reported that chief manager of the CMC, Christiano Cruso, and other team members had left the project site without prior information on Sunday evening.&nbsp;<br />
Similarly, the ministry has said that a request was made to the Ministry of Home Affairs to get information on Christiano and other representatives after they attempted to flee the country all of a sudden.&nbsp;<br />
According to RSS, the construction works of the project is in the final stage with nearly 90 percent accomplishment thanks to better performance in the last six months. Construction of the entire 27 km tunnel and cementing the floors are already over, RSS quoted the ministry as saying.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), a meeting of the NOC held on Tuesday, December 18, decided to reduce the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 per litre effective from midnight.</p>

<p>With the adjusted price list, petrol shall cost Rs 112 per litre in the Kathmandu Valley.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the news scroll of the NOC&rsquo;s official website has posted the revised price of diesel and kerosene at Rs 97 per litre.</p>

<p>The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel is fixed at 104.5 per litre while that of Liquid Petroleum Gas has remained unchanged at Rs 1400 per cylinder (within 15 kilometers of the depot), according to the news scroll&nbsp;update.</p>

<p>However, the official website of the state-owned oil monopoly still displays the old retail selling price of petrol at Rs 114 per litre while the prices of diesel and kerosene are still Rs 101 per litre. The website has not been updated since the last three months.</p>

<p>The last time NOC website was updated was on September 17, 2018 when the price of petrol was Rs 114 per litre, which remains unchanged as of now.</p>

<p>On the occasion, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chair Anupraj Sharma said that although the government has prohibited women workers from going to the Gulf countries, it has not been stopped in practice. &quot;The women workers are entering the Gulf countries via India and Sri Lanka,&quot; he said.</p>

<p>Likewise, chairperson of Paurakhi, Manju Gurung, said that the country should not prohibit women workers from going to any country. She further said that the women workers in the Gulf countries have been facing health problem as they have to do hard labour.</p>

<p>Similarly, Asia Pacific member of an international organisation of domestic helps, Gyanu KC, said that the government should be serious over the issue of women workers, in and outside the country.</p>

<p>The state-run news agency said that the NEA and Arati Hydro Power Company had signed the PPA on the very first day of the current fiscal year. The company has acquired electricity generation license for the 14.10-mw Upper Irkhuwa Hydropower Project based in Bhojpur district.</p>

<p>It may be noted that the December 11 meeting of the NEA Board of Directors held under the chair of Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun decided to make the PPA under the &#39;Take or Pay&#39; concept, RSS said in a news report.</p>

<p>The government has set the target to generate 15,000 mw power by the next 10 years, making the country self-sufficient on power production.</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, the company said that Ford&rsquo;s Raptor, Ranger, Freestyle, Ecosport and Endeavour were used as test drive cars with focus on endurance and toughness of Ford vehicles.</p>

<p>To test the endurance and toughness of the vehicles, the organisers had created a special off-road track with lots of off-road elements like up-hill, down-hill tracks and rocky roads for the users to experience the vehicles in these conditions.</p>

<p>Over 500 participants took part in the test drive event and appreciated the ease that these vehicles can be manoeuvred in tough terrain, the company said in a statement.</p>

<p>Besides the test drive, lots of other fun and adventure activities for the whole family were carried out like free food, free games including mountain bike contest, tree climbing, rope climbing, zip line among others.</p>

<p>During this event, Ford Nepal said it also launched &ldquo;the all new Ranger Raptor&rdquo;. The company said the new vehicle is priced at Rs 12.5 million.</p>

<p>The anti-graft body filed corruption cases against former governor Rawal, the then chief of Department of Notes at the central bank, Upendra Keshari Poudel, and Himalaya Bahadur Pandey, a representative of an Australian company which was assigned the responsibility for printing the polymer notes. The CIAA has sought bail amount of Rs 9.19 million from each of the three accused for allegedly embezzling a total Rs 27.3 million.</p>

<p>The charge-sheet filed at the Special Court states that all three accused are currently at large.</p>

<p>CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that they found the NRB officials involved in financial dealings with the Australian agent, printing sub-standard notes, and colluding with the foreign company against the laws among other illegal activities.</p>

<p>The Nepal Rastra Bank had printed 50 million polymer notes of Rs 10 denomination with the help of the Australian firm when Rawal headed the central bank about one and a half decades ago.</p>

Likewise, the ministry has said that it is ready to move the project ahead without affecting the deadline even in the context where the current construction company was not in the status to carry on the project works.&nbsp;<br />
Construction works of the project should not be affected from the recent situations, the Ministry has said while appealing to all to not habour any doubts on the project but to offer constructive suggestions and motivation to the government.&nbsp;<br />
It was reported that chief manager of the CMC, Christiano Cruso, and other team members had left the project site without prior information on Sunday evening.&nbsp;<br />
Similarly, the ministry has said that a request was made to the Ministry of Home Affairs to get information on Christiano and other representatives after they attempted to flee the country all of a sudden.&nbsp;<br />
According to RSS, the construction works of the project is in the final stage with nearly 90 percent accomplishment thanks to better performance in the last six months. Construction of the entire 27 km tunnel and cementing the floors are already over, RSS quoted the ministry as saying.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), a meeting of the NOC held on Tuesday, December 18, decided to reduce the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 per litre effective from midnight.</p>

<p>With the adjusted price list, petrol shall cost Rs 112 per litre in the Kathmandu Valley.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the news scroll of the NOC&rsquo;s official website has posted the revised price of diesel and kerosene at Rs 97 per litre.</p>

<p>The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel is fixed at 104.5 per litre while that of Liquid Petroleum Gas has remained unchanged at Rs 1400 per cylinder (within 15 kilometers of the depot), according to the news scroll&nbsp;update.</p>

<p>However, the official website of the state-owned oil monopoly still displays the old retail selling price of petrol at Rs 114 per litre while the prices of diesel and kerosene are still Rs 101 per litre. The website has not been updated since the last three months.</p>

<p>The last time NOC website was updated was on September 17, 2018 when the price of petrol was Rs 114 per litre, which remains unchanged as of now.</p>

<p>According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), all of agreements have the private sector investment and their promoters have been urged to complete the fiscal management as soon as possible and move to the construction phase.</p>

<p>The state-run news agency said that the NEA and Arati Hydro Power Company had signed the PPA on the very first day of the current fiscal year. The company has acquired electricity generation license for the 14.10-mw Upper Irkhuwa Hydropower Project based in Bhojpur district.</p>

<p>It may be noted that the December 11 meeting of the NEA Board of Directors held under the chair of Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun decided to make the PPA under the &#39;Take or Pay&#39; concept, RSS said in a news report.</p>

<p>The government has set the target to generate 15,000 mw power by the next 10 years, making the country self-sufficient on power production.</p>

<p>The anti-graft body filed corruption cases against former governor Rawal, the then chief of Department of Notes at the central bank, Upendra Keshari Poudel, and Himalaya Bahadur Pandey, a representative of an Australian company which was assigned the responsibility for printing the polymer notes. The CIAA has sought bail amount of Rs 9.19 million from each of the three accused for allegedly embezzling a total Rs 27.3 million.</p>

<p>The charge-sheet filed at the Special Court states that all three accused are currently at large.</p>

<p>CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that they found the NRB officials involved in financial dealings with the Australian agent, printing sub-standard notes, and colluding with the foreign company against the laws among other illegal activities.</p>

<p>The Nepal Rastra Bank had printed 50 million polymer notes of Rs 10 denomination with the help of the Australian firm when Rawal headed the central bank about one and a half decades ago.</p>

Construction works of the project should not be affected from the recent situations, the Ministry has said while appealing to all to not habour any doubts on the project but to offer constructive suggestions and motivation to the government.&nbsp;<br />
It was reported that chief manager of the CMC, Christiano Cruso, and other team members had left the project site without prior information on Sunday evening.&nbsp;<br />
Similarly, the ministry has said that a request was made to the Ministry of Home Affairs to get information on Christiano and other representatives after they attempted to flee the country all of a sudden.&nbsp;<br />
According to RSS, the construction works of the project is in the final stage with nearly 90 percent accomplishment thanks to better performance in the last six months. Construction of the entire 27 km tunnel and cementing the floors are already over, RSS quoted the ministry as saying.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), a meeting of the NOC held on Tuesday, December 18, decided to reduce the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 per litre effective from midnight.</p>

<p>With the adjusted price list, petrol shall cost Rs 112 per litre in the Kathmandu Valley.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the news scroll of the NOC&rsquo;s official website has posted the revised price of diesel and kerosene at Rs 97 per litre.</p>

<p>The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel is fixed at 104.5 per litre while that of Liquid Petroleum Gas has remained unchanged at Rs 1400 per cylinder (within 15 kilometers of the depot), according to the news scroll&nbsp;update.</p>

<p>However, the official website of the state-owned oil monopoly still displays the old retail selling price of petrol at Rs 114 per litre while the prices of diesel and kerosene are still Rs 101 per litre. The website has not been updated since the last three months.</p>

<p>The last time NOC website was updated was on September 17, 2018 when the price of petrol was Rs 114 per litre, which remains unchanged as of now.</p>

<p>According to the state-run news agency, human rights activists and representatives of government and non-governmental organization said during a public hearing programme organised by Paurakhi at National Human Rights Commission on Sunday (December 16) that women workers have been facing more problems as they use illegal routes to go the Gulf countries for lack of legal permission.</p>

<p>On the occasion, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chair Anupraj Sharma said that although the government has prohibited women workers from going to the Gulf countries, it has not been stopped in practice. &quot;The women workers are entering the Gulf countries via India and Sri Lanka,&quot; he said.</p>

<p>Likewise, chairperson of Paurakhi, Manju Gurung, said that the country should not prohibit women workers from going to any country. She further said that the women workers in the Gulf countries have been facing health problem as they have to do hard labour.</p>

<p>Similarly, Asia Pacific member of an international organisation of domestic helps, Gyanu KC, said that the government should be serious over the issue of women workers, in and outside the country.</p>

<p>The share investors&#39; pressure group has unveiled a series of protest programmes putting forth various demands. <p>The group informed New Business Age that their representatives Hari Dhakal and Tilak Koirala have begun the fast-unto-death. They said that their protest will continue until their demands are fulfilled by the government.</p>

<p>The share investors had been staging a relay-strike since the past eight days but decided to being fast-unto-death after the government turned a deaf ear to their demands.</p>

<p>&quot;We are forced to launch protest programmes after the government failed to address our demands,&quot; said the pressure group&#39;s coordinator Dhakal.</p>

<p>According to RSS, the protesters have also accused a task force formed by the government under the leadership of Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Shiva Raj Shrestha of ignoring their demands.</p>

<p>They have also drawn the attention of the government to bring necessary act, regulations and laws for the greater interest of the capital market.</p>

<p>The task force is said to be preparing to submit its report to Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada.</p>

<p>According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), all of agreements have the private sector investment and their promoters have been urged to complete the fiscal management as soon as possible and move to the construction phase.</p>

<p>The state-run news agency said that the NEA and Arati Hydro Power Company had signed the PPA on the very first day of the current fiscal year. The company has acquired electricity generation license for the 14.10-mw Upper Irkhuwa Hydropower Project based in Bhojpur district.</p>

<p>It may be noted that the December 11 meeting of the NEA Board of Directors held under the chair of Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun decided to make the PPA under the &#39;Take or Pay&#39; concept, RSS said in a news report.</p>

<p>The government has set the target to generate 15,000 mw power by the next 10 years, making the country self-sufficient on power production.</p>

<p>The anti-graft body filed corruption cases against former governor Rawal, the then chief of Department of Notes at the central bank, Upendra Keshari Poudel, and Himalaya Bahadur Pandey, a representative of an Australian company which was assigned the responsibility for printing the polymer notes. The CIAA has sought bail amount of Rs 9.19 million from each of the three accused for allegedly embezzling a total Rs 27.3 million.</p>

<p>The charge-sheet filed at the Special Court states that all three accused are currently at large.</p>

<p>CIAA Spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal said that they found the NRB officials involved in financial dealings with the Australian agent, printing sub-standard notes, and colluding with the foreign company against the laws among other illegal activities.</p>

<p>The Nepal Rastra Bank had printed 50 million polymer notes of Rs 10 denomination with the help of the Australian firm when Rawal headed the central bank about one and a half decades ago.</p>

The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has said that officials have been holding consultations to complete the projects in the slated timeframe without disturbing the given deadline and the talks with the contractor company CMC were also in progress about the latest situation of the project, according to a news report published by Rastriya Samachar Samiti.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the state-run national news agency, the ministry issued a statement on Tuesday saying that that officials of the ministry and the Melamchi Drinking Water Project have been holding talks by keeping different options open to complete the development of the project. Likewise, the ministry has said that it is ready to move the project ahead without affecting the deadline even in the context where the current construction company was not in the status to carry on the project works.&nbsp;<br />
Construction works of the project should not be affected from the recent situations, the Ministry has said while appealing to all to not habour any doubts on the project but to offer constructive suggestions and motivation to the government.&nbsp;<br />
It was reported that chief manager of the CMC, Christiano Cruso, and other team members had left the project site without prior information on Sunday evening.&nbsp;<br />
Similarly, the ministry has said that a request was made to the Ministry of Home Affairs to get information on Christiano and other representatives after they attempted to flee the country all of a sudden.&nbsp;<br />
According to RSS, the construction works of the project is in the final stage with nearly 90 percent accomplishment thanks to better performance in the last six months. Construction of the entire 27 km tunnel and cementing the floors are already over, RSS quoted the ministry as saying.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), a meeting of the NOC held on Tuesday, December 18, decided to reduce the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 per litre effective from midnight.</p>

<p>With the adjusted price list, petrol shall cost Rs 112 per litre in the Kathmandu Valley.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the news scroll of the NOC&rsquo;s official website has posted the revised price of diesel and kerosene at Rs 97 per litre.</p>

<p>The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel is fixed at 104.5 per litre while that of Liquid Petroleum Gas has remained unchanged at Rs 1400 per cylinder (within 15 kilometers of the depot), according to the news scroll&nbsp;update.</p>

<p>However, the official website of the state-owned oil monopoly still displays the old retail selling price of petrol at Rs 114 per litre while the prices of diesel and kerosene are still Rs 101 per litre. The website has not been updated since the last three months.</p>

<p>The last time NOC website was updated was on September 17, 2018 when the price of petrol was Rs 114 per litre, which remains unchanged as of now.</p>

<p>On the occasion, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chair Anupraj Sharma said that although the government has prohibited women workers from going to the Gulf countries, it has not been stopped in practice. &quot;The women workers are entering the Gulf countries via India and Sri Lanka,&quot; he said.</p>

<p>Likewise, chairperson of Paurakhi, Manju Gurung, said that the country should not prohibit women workers from going to any country. She further said that the women workers in the Gulf countries have been facing health problem as they have to do hard labour.</p>

<p>Similarly, Asia Pacific member of an international organisation of domestic helps, Gyanu KC, said that the government should be serious over the issue of women workers, in and outside the country.</p>

<p>&quot;We are forced to launch protest programmes after the government failed to address our demands,&quot; said the pressure group&#39;s coordinator Dhakal.</p>

<p>According to RSS, the protesters have also accused a task force formed by the government under the leadership of Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Shiva Raj Shrestha of ignoring their demands.</p>

<p>They have also drawn the attention of the government to bring necessary act, regulations and laws for the greater interest of the capital market.</p>

<p>It may be noted that the December 11 meeting of the NEA Board of Directors held under the chair of Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun decided to make the PPA under the &#39;Take or Pay&#39; concept, RSS said in a news report.</p>

<p>The government has set the target to generate 15,000 mw power by the next 10 years, making the country self-sufficient on power production.</p>
