<p>In the initial phase, the company will provide services to 350,000 customers of the two regions. Similarly, NT is planning to expand the service in 15 sub-metropolitans in the second phase. Introduced in 2010 globally, the service arrived seven years later in Nepal. Currently, 4G services are available in more than 160 countries.</p>

<p>Though Nepal was the first country among the SAARC countries to introduce 3G service, 4G services started notably late in the country. Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) permitted NT to operate 4G service three months ago.</p>

<p>Telecom received permission to run Technology Neutrality and 4G on 1800 band from NTA. Refarming the 15Mhz frequency among the 1800 band, NT started the LTE service by separating 10Mhz for GSM and remaining 5Mhz for 4G service. According to the company, internet speed of up to 32.4 Mb per second will be available from the 5Mhz frequency.</p>

<p>&ldquo;NTA is working on to manage frequency of existing 1800 band for maximum utilization on 4G service,&rdquo; said Digambar Jha, Chairman of NTA. Speaking on the launch program, Surendra Kumar Karki, Minister for Information and Communication said that the 4G service will bring revolution in the field of information and technology.</p>

<p>On the process of service, the company upgraded the status of popular sector sites and network. The upgradation of 380 and 25 BTS tower in Kathmandu and Pokhara respectively have been completed. NT is planning to add 59 towers immediately. For that, Chinese mobile company Huawei is assisting NT on infrastructure aspect. As per the company, till now expenditure of USD 3.6 million has been made to start 4G service.</p>

<p>For now post-paid customers of NT can only use the service and have to wait for a month by pre-paid customers. 4G service can be activated in the rate of 2G or 3G.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NT has brought promotional packages on the occasion of beginning of the service. Telecom is providing 4Gb data for four days with1Gb free data per day for the customer registering for 4G service. Likewise, the service will be currently unavailable in iPhone.</p>

<p><strong>How to activate the service?</strong></p>

<p>Dial *444# to know whether 4G services can be available or not and to activate the service. The service can be activated on free of charge. A signal of 4G or LTE will be seen in mobile after the activation.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The electricity has been brought as per the Supplementary Power Trade Agreement between the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and NTPC Vidhyut Vyapar Nigam. According to NEA Spokesperson Prabal Adhikari, the imported electricity will fulfill the demand of in the dry season. During the dry season, power production in the country reduces due to the lower level of flow of water in the rivers. &quot;Another agreement for importing additional 40MW electricity from February1 has been reached to fulfill the demand which will rise with the dry season,&quot; he added, saying, &quot;A 100 MVA transformer has been installed at the Muzaffarpur substation for additional import.&quot; As per the agreement, the additional power will cost Nepal&nbsp;&nbsp; Rs 5.60 per unit which the country has been paying to India currently. Last year, Nepal imported 347MW electricity from India. NEA has planned to import additional 220MW through four cross-border transmission lines. Under this, 40MW will be imported from Tanakpur-Mahedranagar transmission line, while the lines of Kataiya-Kusaha and Rakshaul-Parwanipur will supply 50MW each. The construction works of the transmission lines are being rapidly done for the purpose.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Adhikari, the increase in import of power is in a bid to ease the difficulties the country faces from load dispatch reduction. According to NEA, Kathmandu Valley and its nearby districts are free from power cut. Similarly, power cut has been reduced significantly all over the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, due to the lack of transmission lines, the 40MW electricity imported from India has reached till Hetauda. The delay to complete the Dhalkewar-Khimti transmission line has been the reason for this. Energy minister Janardan Sharma who inspected the construction site earlier in December has directed for the speedy completion of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;A tower near Sindhuligadi which is under high tension Line has to be shifted,&quot; informs Kiran Raj Timilsina, one of the members of inspection team. He said that Sharma has directed to shift the tower as soon as possible to an appropriate place in order to complete the construction work. Presently, the imported electricity will be consumed from Dhalkewar to Hetauda. Similarly, arrangements have been made to supply the power to Lahan district in case of emergency.</p>

The four development banks including Supreme, International, Infrastructure and Apex Development Bank was in merger process with the bank since November 27, 2015. Finalising the merger process in 13 months and 7 days, the bank finally started the integrated transaction. Dr Chiranjibi Nepal, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank inaugurated the integration transaction of the bank amid a function on Sunday.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&quot;NCC Bank should function with a vision of topping the banking sector,&quot; said Governor Nepal in the program. The bank obtained an approval for integrated transaction from the Registrar Office on last Thursday.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The paid-up capital of the merged entity has reached Rs 4.67 billion while reserve fund totals Rs 990 million. &quot;As, the excess money accumulated from swap ratio is transfer to reserve fund and while distributing bonus share from it, it is calculated in paid-up capital. Thus, the paid-up capital of the bank has reached Rs 5.66 billion including reserve fund,&quot; said Ramesh Raj Aryal, CEO of NCC Bank.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The bank is required to insert additional Rs 2.66 billion in its paid-up capital to meet the minimum paid-up capital cap of Rs 8 billion. CEO Aryal said that the bank will meet the capital requirement in the stipulated time by any means. &quot;The bank has targeted to meet the paid-up capital even by distributing bonus share from its accumulated profit.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">After the merger, the deposit collection and loan extension of the bank has amounted to Rs 54.37 billion and 48.62 billion respectively. Similarly, the network of the bank has expanded to 96 branches and 61 ATMs.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the first five months statistics published by the department, Nepal has imported merchandise worth of Rs 382.28 billion from various countries which is 78.26 per cent growth than the review period of the last FY. In the review period of the last FY, such import from India, China and other third countries was Rs 214.44 billion.</p>

<p>Higher rate of import accompanied by lower export has caused the trade deficit to increase by two folds in the first five months of the current FY. During the first five months period of the last FY, Nepal had trade deficit of Rs 188 billion. However, it has increased by 87.44 per cent to Rs 352 billion in the review period of the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">From the last week of January, the initial infrastructural preparation for mine excavation will be started. &ldquo;With the construction of the road, now the process of land acquisition will start,&rdquo; Adhikari said. &quot;For that matter, meetings with the locals will be conducted, after which, the land acquisition process will start within a few days to place machinery equipment including excavator and dozer.&quot;</p>

<p>In the initial phase, the company will provide services to 350,000 customers of the two regions. Similarly, NT is planning to expand the service in 15 sub-metropolitans in the second phase. Introduced in 2010 globally, the service arrived seven years later in Nepal. Currently, 4G services are available in more than 160 countries.</p>

<p>Though Nepal was the first country among the SAARC countries to introduce 3G service, 4G services started notably late in the country. Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) permitted NT to operate 4G service three months ago.</p>

<p>Telecom received permission to run Technology Neutrality and 4G on 1800 band from NTA. Refarming the 15Mhz frequency among the 1800 band, NT started the LTE service by separating 10Mhz for GSM and remaining 5Mhz for 4G service. According to the company, internet speed of up to 32.4 Mb per second will be available from the 5Mhz frequency.</p>

<p>&ldquo;NTA is working on to manage frequency of existing 1800 band for maximum utilization on 4G service,&rdquo; said Digambar Jha, Chairman of NTA. Speaking on the launch program, Surendra Kumar Karki, Minister for Information and Communication said that the 4G service will bring revolution in the field of information and technology.</p>

<p>On the process of service, the company upgraded the status of popular sector sites and network. The upgradation of 380 and 25 BTS tower in Kathmandu and Pokhara respectively have been completed. NT is planning to add 59 towers immediately. For that, Chinese mobile company Huawei is assisting NT on infrastructure aspect. As per the company, till now expenditure of USD 3.6 million has been made to start 4G service.</p>

<p>For now post-paid customers of NT can only use the service and have to wait for a month by pre-paid customers. 4G service can be activated in the rate of 2G or 3G.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NT has brought promotional packages on the occasion of beginning of the service. Telecom is providing 4Gb data for four days with1Gb free data per day for the customer registering for 4G service. Likewise, the service will be currently unavailable in iPhone.</p>

<p><strong>How to activate the service?</strong></p>

<p>Dial *444# to know whether 4G services can be available or not and to activate the service. The service can be activated on free of charge. A signal of 4G or LTE will be seen in mobile after the activation.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The electricity has been brought as per the Supplementary Power Trade Agreement between the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and NTPC Vidhyut Vyapar Nigam. According to NEA Spokesperson Prabal Adhikari, the imported electricity will fulfill the demand of in the dry season. During the dry season, power production in the country reduces due to the lower level of flow of water in the rivers. &quot;Another agreement for importing additional 40MW electricity from February1 has been reached to fulfill the demand which will rise with the dry season,&quot; he added, saying, &quot;A 100 MVA transformer has been installed at the Muzaffarpur substation for additional import.&quot; As per the agreement, the additional power will cost Nepal&nbsp;&nbsp; Rs 5.60 per unit which the country has been paying to India currently. Last year, Nepal imported 347MW electricity from India. NEA has planned to import additional 220MW through four cross-border transmission lines. Under this, 40MW will be imported from Tanakpur-Mahedranagar transmission line, while the lines of Kataiya-Kusaha and Rakshaul-Parwanipur will supply 50MW each. The construction works of the transmission lines are being rapidly done for the purpose.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Adhikari, the increase in import of power is in a bid to ease the difficulties the country faces from load dispatch reduction. According to NEA, Kathmandu Valley and its nearby districts are free from power cut. Similarly, power cut has been reduced significantly all over the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, due to the lack of transmission lines, the 40MW electricity imported from India has reached till Hetauda. The delay to complete the Dhalkewar-Khimti transmission line has been the reason for this. Energy minister Janardan Sharma who inspected the construction site earlier in December has directed for the speedy completion of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;A tower near Sindhuligadi which is under high tension Line has to be shifted,&quot; informs Kiran Raj Timilsina, one of the members of inspection team. He said that Sharma has directed to shift the tower as soon as possible to an appropriate place in order to complete the construction work. Presently, the imported electricity will be consumed from Dhalkewar to Hetauda. Similarly, arrangements have been made to supply the power to Lahan district in case of emergency.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The bank is required to insert additional Rs 2.66 billion in its paid-up capital to meet the minimum paid-up capital cap of Rs 8 billion. CEO Aryal said that the bank will meet the capital requirement in the stipulated time by any means. &quot;The bank has targeted to meet the paid-up capital even by distributing bonus share from its accumulated profit.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">After the merger, the deposit collection and loan extension of the bank has amounted to Rs 54.37 billion and 48.62 billion respectively. Similarly, the network of the bank has expanded to 96 branches and 61 ATMs.&nbsp;</p>

However, with the normal condition, the foreign trade has increased by 41.13 per cent in the current FY.</p>

<p>As per the first five months statistics published by the department, Nepal has imported merchandise worth of Rs 382.28 billion from various countries which is 78.26 per cent growth than the review period of the last FY. In the review period of the last FY, such import from India, China and other third countries was Rs 214.44 billion.</p>

<p>Higher rate of import accompanied by lower export has caused the trade deficit to increase by two folds in the first five months of the current FY. During the first five months period of the last FY, Nepal had trade deficit of Rs 188 billion. However, it has increased by 87.44 per cent to Rs 352 billion in the review period of the current FY.</p>

<p>In the initial phase, the company will provide services to 350,000 customers of the two regions. Similarly, NT is planning to expand the service in 15 sub-metropolitans in the second phase. Introduced in 2010 globally, the service arrived seven years later in Nepal. Currently, 4G services are available in more than 160 countries.</p>

<p>Though Nepal was the first country among the SAARC countries to introduce 3G service, 4G services started notably late in the country. Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) permitted NT to operate 4G service three months ago.</p>

<p>Telecom received permission to run Technology Neutrality and 4G on 1800 band from NTA. Refarming the 15Mhz frequency among the 1800 band, NT started the LTE service by separating 10Mhz for GSM and remaining 5Mhz for 4G service. According to the company, internet speed of up to 32.4 Mb per second will be available from the 5Mhz frequency.</p>

<p>&ldquo;NTA is working on to manage frequency of existing 1800 band for maximum utilization on 4G service,&rdquo; said Digambar Jha, Chairman of NTA. Speaking on the launch program, Surendra Kumar Karki, Minister for Information and Communication said that the 4G service will bring revolution in the field of information and technology.</p>

<p>On the process of service, the company upgraded the status of popular sector sites and network. The upgradation of 380 and 25 BTS tower in Kathmandu and Pokhara respectively have been completed. NT is planning to add 59 towers immediately. For that, Chinese mobile company Huawei is assisting NT on infrastructure aspect. As per the company, till now expenditure of USD 3.6 million has been made to start 4G service.</p>

<p>For now post-paid customers of NT can only use the service and have to wait for a month by pre-paid customers. 4G service can be activated in the rate of 2G or 3G.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NT has brought promotional packages on the occasion of beginning of the service. Telecom is providing 4Gb data for four days with1Gb free data per day for the customer registering for 4G service. Likewise, the service will be currently unavailable in iPhone.</p>

<p><strong>How to activate the service?</strong></p>

<p>Dial *444# to know whether 4G services can be available or not and to activate the service. The service can be activated on free of charge. A signal of 4G or LTE will be seen in mobile after the activation.</p>

According to NEA Spokesperson Prabal Adhikari, the imported electricity will fulfill the demand of in the dry season. During the dry season, power production in the country reduces due to the lower level of flow of water in the rivers. &quot;Another agreement for importing additional 40MW electricity from February1 has been reached to fulfill the demand which will rise with the dry season,&quot; he added, saying, &quot;A 100 MVA transformer has been installed at the Muzaffarpur substation for additional import.&quot; As per the agreement, the additional power will cost Nepal&nbsp;&nbsp; Rs 5.60 per unit which the country has been paying to India currently. Last year, Nepal imported 347MW electricity from India. NEA has planned to import additional 220MW through four cross-border transmission lines. Under this, 40MW will be imported from Tanakpur-Mahedranagar transmission line, while the lines of Kataiya-Kusaha and Rakshaul-Parwanipur will supply 50MW each. The construction works of the transmission lines are being rapidly done for the purpose.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Adhikari, the increase in import of power is in a bid to ease the difficulties the country faces from load dispatch reduction. According to NEA, Kathmandu Valley and its nearby districts are free from power cut. Similarly, power cut has been reduced significantly all over the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, due to the lack of transmission lines, the 40MW electricity imported from India has reached till Hetauda. The delay to complete the Dhalkewar-Khimti transmission line has been the reason for this. Energy minister Janardan Sharma who inspected the construction site earlier in December has directed for the speedy completion of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;A tower near Sindhuligadi which is under high tension Line has to be shifted,&quot; informs Kiran Raj Timilsina, one of the members of inspection team. He said that Sharma has directed to shift the tower as soon as possible to an appropriate place in order to complete the construction work. In the review period of the last FY, such import from India, China and other third countries was Rs 214.44 billion.</p>

<p>Higher rate of import accompanied by lower export has caused the trade deficit to increase by two folds in the first five months of the current FY. During the first five months period of the last FY, Nepal had trade deficit of Rs 188 billion. However, it has increased by 87.44 per cent to Rs 352 billion in the review period of the current FY.</p>

<p>In the initial phase, the company will provide services to 350,000 customers of the two regions. Similarly, NT is planning to expand the service in 15 sub-metropolitans in the second phase. Introduced in 2010 globally, the service arrived seven years later in Nepal. Currently, 4G services are available in more than 160 countries.</p>

<p>Though Nepal was the first country among the SAARC countries to introduce 3G service, 4G services started notably late in the country. Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) permitted NT to operate 4G service three months ago.</p>

<p>Telecom received permission to run Technology Neutrality and 4G on 1800 band from NTA. Refarming the 15Mhz frequency among the 1800 band, NT started the LTE service by separating 10Mhz for GSM and remaining 5Mhz for 4G service. According to the company, internet speed of up to 32.4 Mb per second will be available from the 5Mhz frequency.</p>

<p>&ldquo;NTA is working on to manage frequency of existing 1800 band for maximum utilization on 4G service,&rdquo; said Digambar Jha, Chairman of NTA. Speaking on the launch program, Surendra Kumar Karki, Minister for Information and Communication said that the 4G service will bring revolution in the field of information and technology.</p>

<p>On the process of service, the company upgraded the status of popular sector sites and network. The upgradation of 380 and 25 BTS tower in Kathmandu and Pokhara respectively have been completed. NT is planning to add 59 towers immediately. For that, Chinese mobile company Huawei is assisting NT on infrastructure aspect. As per the company, till now expenditure of USD 3.6 million has been made to start 4G service.</p>

<p>For now post-paid customers of NT can only use the service and have to wait for a month by pre-paid customers. 4G service can be activated in the rate of 2G or 3G.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NT has brought promotional packages on the occasion of beginning of the service. Telecom is providing 4Gb data for four days with1Gb free data per day for the customer registering for 4G service. Likewise, the service will be currently unavailable in iPhone.</p>

<p><strong>How to activate the service?</strong></p>

<p>Dial *444# to know whether 4G services can be available or not and to activate the service. The service can be activated on free of charge. A signal of 4G or LTE will be seen in mobile after the activation.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The electricity has been brought as per the Supplementary Power Trade Agreement between the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and NTPC Vidhyut Vyapar Nigam. According to NEA Spokesperson Prabal Adhikari, the imported electricity will fulfill the demand of in the dry season. During the dry season, power production in the country reduces due to the lower level of flow of water in the rivers. &quot;Another agreement for importing additional 40MW electricity from February1 has been reached to fulfill the demand which will rise with the dry season,&quot; he added, saying, &quot;A 100 MVA transformer has been installed at the Muzaffarpur substation for additional import.&quot; As per the agreement, the additional power will cost Nepal&nbsp;&nbsp; Rs 5.60 per unit which the country has been paying to India currently. Last year, Nepal imported 347MW electricity from India. NEA has planned to import additional 220MW through four cross-border transmission lines. Under this, 40MW will be imported from Tanakpur-Mahedranagar transmission line, while the lines of Kataiya-Kusaha and Rakshaul-Parwanipur will supply 50MW each. The construction works of the transmission lines are being rapidly done for the purpose.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Adhikari, the increase in import of power is in a bid to ease the difficulties the country faces from load dispatch reduction. According to NEA, Kathmandu Valley and its nearby districts are free from power cut. Similarly, power cut has been reduced significantly all over the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, due to the lack of transmission lines, the 40MW electricity imported from India has reached till Hetauda. The delay to complete the Dhalkewar-Khimti transmission line has been the reason for this. Energy minister Janardan Sharma who inspected the construction site earlier in December has directed for the speedy completion of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;A tower near Sindhuligadi which is under high tension Line has to be shifted,&quot; informs Kiran Raj Timilsina, one of the members of inspection team. He said that Sharma has directed to shift the tower as soon as possible to an appropriate place in order to complete the construction work. After posting the video in Facebook Wall, participants will have share the video and earn maximum likes. Based on the gained likes, every week a participant will be provided Rs 25,000 cash prize plus Rs 100,000 for their choice of social work. According to the company, the video earning the maximum likes will also win Rs 100,000 cash prize at the end of the competition. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The paid-up capital of the merged entity has reached Rs 4.67 billion while reserve fund totals Rs 990 million. &quot;As, the excess money accumulated from swap ratio is transfer to reserve fund and while distributing bonus share from it, it is calculated in paid-up capital. Thus, the paid-up capital of the bank has reached Rs 5.66 billion including reserve fund,&quot; said Ramesh Raj Aryal, CEO of NCC Bank.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The bank is required to insert additional Rs 2.66 billion in its paid-up capital to meet the minimum paid-up capital cap of Rs 8 billion. CEO Aryal said that the bank will meet the capital requirement in the stipulated time by any means. &quot;The bank has targeted to meet the paid-up capital even by distributing bonus share from its accumulated profit.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">After the merger, the deposit collection and loan extension of the bank has amounted to Rs 54.37 billion and 48.62 billion respectively. Similarly, the network of the bank has expanded to 96 branches and 61 ATMs.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the statistics of the department, the country&#39;s total foreign trade amounted to Rs 413 billion in the first five months period of the current FY. In the review period of the last FY, the total foreign trade had contracted to Rs 241.27 billion due to border blockade. However, with the normal condition, the foreign trade has increased by 41.13 per cent in the current FY.</p>

<p>As per the first five months statistics published by the department, Nepal has imported merchandise worth of Rs 382.28 billion from various countries which is 78.26 per cent growth than the review period of the last FY. In the review period of the last FY, such import from India, China and other third countries was Rs 214.44 billion.</p>

<p>Higher rate of import accompanied by lower export has caused the trade deficit to increase by two folds in the first five months of the current FY. During the first five months period of the last FY, Nepal had trade deficit of Rs 188 billion. However, it has increased by 87.44 per cent to Rs 352 billion in the review period of the current FY.</p>

The developer Muktishree Company started the road construction seven years after it got license for the operation of the industry. According to Lok Bahadur Adhikari, Project Coordinator, on the first phase, five kilometer road connecting the mine from Bhapra Khola to Kuwa has come to the final phase.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">From the last week of January, the initial infrastructural preparation for mine excavation will be started. &ldquo;With the construction of the road, now the process of land acquisition will start,&rdquo; Adhikari said. &quot;For that matter, meetings with the locals will be conducted, after which, the land acquisition process will start within a few days to place machinery equipment including excavator and dozer.&quot;</p>
