<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the directive, BFIs are also required to conduct refreshment trainings once a year. &ldquo;BFIs should inform about the trainings to NRB,&rdquo; reads the directive.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the directive has made it mandatory for the BFIs to spend three percent of their total staff expenditure for the capacity enhancement of the employees. As per the directive, the training provider institutions, the capacity enhancement trainings should be selected on the basis of their popularity, reputation and credibility. In case if such trainings are not held due to any reasons, NRB has instructed the BFIs to spend the training budget adding the unspent money of the previous year to the next year&rsquo;s training. The central bank has directed BFIs to prepare and submit work plan to it regarding the capacity enhancement trainings.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;The production of paddy, maize and other crops has increased this year compared to past years, as per the preliminary statistics published by the Ministry of Agriculture Development (MoAD).</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to MoAD, production of paddy this year has broken all the past records.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Agriculture Statistics Section, paddy production this year has reached 5.23 million metric tons increasing by 21. 66 percent compared to last year. Last year, a total of 4.29 million metric tons of paddy was produced in the country. The increase this year is by 9 hundred and 31 thousand metric tons compared to last year. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This has been record production of paddy in the history of country. &nbsp;Although there has been improvement in production of cereals, situation is such that there is an outflow of billions of rupees annually for import of food grains. As per the statistics of the Trade and Export Promotion Centre, rice amounting to Rs 10 billion has been imported in the past four months.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to MoAD spokesperson Yogendra Karki, the ministry has made a preliminary projection of production of 10.4 million tons of the main food crops in until April this year. As per the Ministry statistics, Nepal needs 9.6 million tons of food grains including rice, maize, wheat and millet.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import and export of food grains for Nepal is considered obvious as the country is the member of the World Trade Organization and has adopted the free-market economy. &ldquo;However, it is a serious issue that the Nepal is importing foods grains amounting to billions of rupees despite an enormous potential of agriculture in the country,&rdquo; says Karki.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sources say usually the import of fine and fragrant rice have been increasing every year due to the rising living standards of Nepalis contributed by impact of remittances and increasing capacity of &nbsp;people to earn money.&nbsp; The Ministry claims that Nepal can be self-reliant on food grains very soon if the food habit of the Nepalis improves.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This year, the production of maize has also increased and reached 2.25 million metric tons against 2.23 million metric tons last year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The main reasons for rise in production this year are adequate rainfall, timely transplantation, smooth supply of chemical fertilizers and hybrid seeds and improvement in agro technology, the ministry says.</p>

<p>Speaking at a press conference at the ministry, Sharma informed the portal will help investors to know about the projects that will be constructed by their investments. He further added that the profit can be obtained through the invested projects.</p>

<p>Minister Sharma also unveiled the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) rate of reservoir-based and PROR hydropower projects. The highest PPA rate has been fixed at Rs 12.40 per unit. The rate has been fixed as per the recommendation of the report prepared by a committee formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary Chiranjivi Chataut. As per the decision, storage-type hydel projects will get Rs 12.40 per unit in the dry season (January to May). Similarly, such rate will be Rs 7.10 per unit in the wet season (May to December).Meanwhile, for PROR projects will get Rs 10.55 per unit in the dry season and Rs 4.80 per unit in the dry season.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;The fixed PPA rate will be implemented till the completion of projects to produce10, 000MW power,&rdquo; informed Sharma. According to him, after the target of 10,000MW is achieved, the rate will be revised. As per the unveiled rate, the investors interested to invest in storage-type hydel projects will get 17 percent of profit.&nbsp;</p>

Moreover, six BFIs in Bajura invested Rs 240 million and seven BFIs in Bajhang invested Rs 260 million loan.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the deposit collected by the BFIs of Kailali has been Rs18.9 billion during the period. Similarly, deposit collection from Kanchanpur was Rs 9.10 billion, Rs 2.29 billion from Dadeldhura and Rs 1.16 billion from Doti. Likewise, Rs 1.63 billion from Baitadi, Rs 780 million from Acham, Rs 1.25 billion from Darchula and Rs 670 million deposit were collected from Bajura. Also, 960 million deposit from Bajhang was also collected resulting a total of Rs 37.54 billion deposit collection, according to the statistics of NRB Dhanghadi.</p>

As per the directive, the training provider institutions, the capacity enhancement trainings should be selected on the basis of their popularity, reputation and credibility. In case if such trainings are not held due to any reasons, NRB has instructed the BFIs to spend the training budget adding the unspent money of the previous year to the next year&rsquo;s training. The central bank has directed BFIs to prepare and submit work plan to it regarding the capacity enhancement trainings.&nbsp;</p>

As per the statistics of the Trade and Export Promotion Centre, rice amounting to Rs 10 billion has been imported in the past four months.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to MoAD spokesperson Yogendra Karki, the ministry has made a preliminary projection of production of 10.4 million tons of the main food crops in until April this year. As per the Ministry statistics, Nepal needs 9.6 million tons of food grains including rice, maize, wheat and millet.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import and export of food grains for Nepal is considered obvious as the country is the member of the World Trade Organization and has adopted the free-market economy. &ldquo;However, it is a serious issue that the Nepal is importing foods grains amounting to billions of rupees despite an enormous potential of agriculture in the country,&rdquo; says Karki.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sources say usually the import of fine and fragrant rice have been increasing every year due to the rising living standards of Nepalis contributed by impact of remittances and increasing capacity of &nbsp;people to earn money.&nbsp; The Ministry claims that Nepal can be self-reliant on food grains very soon if the food habit of the Nepalis improves.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This year, the production of maize has also increased and reached 2.25 million metric tons against 2.23 million metric tons last year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The main reasons for rise in production this year are adequate rainfall, timely transplantation, smooth supply of chemical fertilizers and hybrid seeds and improvement in agro technology, the ministry says.</p>

<p>Minister Sharma also unveiled the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) rate of reservoir-based and PROR hydropower projects. The highest PPA rate has been fixed at Rs 12.40 per unit. The rate has been fixed as per the recommendation of the report prepared by a committee formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary Chiranjivi Chataut. As per the decision, storage-type hydel projects will get Rs 12.40 per unit in the dry season (January to May). Similarly, such rate will be Rs 7.10 per unit in the wet season (May to December).Meanwhile, for PROR projects will get Rs 10.55 per unit in the dry season and Rs 4.80 per unit in the dry season.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;The fixed PPA rate will be implemented till the completion of projects to produce10, 000MW power,&rdquo; informed Sharma. According to him, after the target of 10,000MW is achieved, the rate will be revised. As per the unveiled rate, the investors interested to invest in storage-type hydel projects will get 17 percent of profit.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Thapa said that 44 BFIs in Kanchanpur invested Rs 12.26 billion and 16 BFIs in Dadeldhura invested Rs 1.40 billion. Likewises nine BFIs in Baitadi invested Rs 720 million, 17 BFIs in Acham invested 450 million and eight BFIs in Darchula invested Rs 590 million. Moreover, six BFIs in Bajura invested Rs 240 million and seven BFIs in Bajhang invested Rs 260 million loan.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the deposit collected by the BFIs of Kailali has been Rs18.9 billion during the period. Similarly, deposit collection from Kanchanpur was Rs 9.10 billion, Rs 2.29 billion from Dadeldhura and Rs 1.16 billion from Doti. Likewise, Rs 1.63 billion from Baitadi, Rs 780 million from Acham, Rs 1.25 billion from Darchula and Rs 670 million deposit were collected from Bajura. Also, 960 million deposit from Bajhang was also collected resulting a total of Rs 37.54 billion deposit collection, according to the statistics of NRB Dhanghadi.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Thapa informed that there are 203 BFIs in the Province Number7. According to him, Kailali with the 84 BFIs has the highest number of BFIs whereas Bajura with only six BFIs has the least BFIs. The nine districts of Far Western region has 112 &#39;A&#39; listed, 32 &#39;B&#39; listed, 1 &#39;C&#39; listed and 86 &#39;D&#39; listed BFIs.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the directive has made it mandatory for the BFIs to spend three percent of their total staff expenditure for the capacity enhancement of the employees. As per the directive, the training provider institutions, the capacity enhancement trainings should be selected on the basis of their popularity, reputation and credibility. In case if such trainings are not held due to any reasons, NRB has instructed the BFIs to spend the training budget adding the unspent money of the previous year to the next year&rsquo;s training. The central bank has directed BFIs to prepare and submit work plan to it regarding the capacity enhancement trainings.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;The production of paddy, maize and other crops has increased this year compared to past years, as per the preliminary statistics published by the Ministry of Agriculture Development (MoAD).</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to MoAD, production of paddy this year has broken all the past records.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Agriculture Statistics Section, paddy production this year has reached 5.23 million metric tons increasing by 21. 66 percent compared to last year. Last year, a total of 4.29 million metric tons of paddy was produced in the country. The increase this year is by 9 hundred and 31 thousand metric tons compared to last year. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This has been record production of paddy in the history of country. &nbsp;Although there has been improvement in production of cereals, situation is such that there is an outflow of billions of rupees annually for import of food grains. As per the statistics of the Trade and Export Promotion Centre, rice amounting to Rs 10 billion has been imported in the past four months.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to MoAD spokesperson Yogendra Karki, the ministry has made a preliminary projection of production of 10.4 million tons of the main food crops in until April this year. As per the Ministry statistics, Nepal needs 9.6 million tons of food grains including rice, maize, wheat and millet.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import and export of food grains for Nepal is considered obvious as the country is the member of the World Trade Organization and has adopted the free-market economy. &ldquo;However, it is a serious issue that the Nepal is importing foods grains amounting to billions of rupees despite an enormous potential of agriculture in the country,&rdquo; says Karki.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sources say usually the import of fine and fragrant rice have been increasing every year due to the rising living standards of Nepalis contributed by impact of remittances and increasing capacity of &nbsp;people to earn money.&nbsp; The Ministry claims that Nepal can be self-reliant on food grains very soon if the food habit of the Nepalis improves.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This year, the production of maize has also increased and reached 2.25 million metric tons against 2.23 million metric tons last year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The main reasons for rise in production this year are adequate rainfall, timely transplantation, smooth supply of chemical fertilizers and hybrid seeds and improvement in agro technology, the ministry says.</p>

<p>Speaking at a press conference at the ministry, Sharma informed the portal will help investors to know about the projects that will be constructed by their investments. He further added that the profit can be obtained through the invested projects.</p>

<p>Minister Sharma also unveiled the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) rate of reservoir-based and PROR hydropower projects. The highest PPA rate has been fixed at Rs 12.40 per unit. The rate has been fixed as per the recommendation of the report prepared by a committee formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary Chiranjivi Chataut. As per the decision, storage-type hydel projects will get Rs 12.40 per unit in the dry season (January to May). Similarly, such rate will be Rs 7.10 per unit in the wet season (May to December).Meanwhile, for PROR projects will get Rs 10.55 per unit in the dry season and Rs 4.80 per unit in the dry season.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;The fixed PPA rate will be implemented till the completion of projects to produce10, 000MW power,&rdquo; informed Sharma. According to him, after the target of 10,000MW is achieved, the rate will be revised. As per the unveiled rate, the investors interested to invest in storage-type hydel projects will get 17 percent of profit.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Thapa said that 44 BFIs in Kanchanpur invested Rs 12.26 billion and 16 BFIs in Dadeldhura invested Rs 1.40 billion. Likewises nine BFIs in Baitadi invested Rs 720 million, 17 BFIs in Acham invested 450 million and eight BFIs in Darchula invested Rs 590 million. Moreover, six BFIs in Bajura invested Rs 240 million and seven BFIs in Bajhang invested Rs 260 million loan.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the deposit collected by the BFIs of Kailali has been Rs18.9 billion during the period. Similarly, deposit collection from Kanchanpur was Rs 9.10 billion, Rs 2.29 billion from Dadeldhura and Rs 1.16 billion from Doti. Likewise, Rs 1.63 billion from Baitadi, Rs 780 million from Acham, Rs 1.25 billion from Darchula and Rs 670 million deposit were collected from Bajura. Also, 960 million deposit from Bajhang was also collected resulting a total of Rs 37.54 billion deposit collection, according to the statistics of NRB Dhanghadi.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Thapa informed that there are 203 BFIs in the Province Number7. According to him, Kailali with the 84 BFIs has the highest number of BFIs whereas Bajura with only six BFIs has the least BFIs. The nine districts of Far Western region has 112 &#39;A&#39; listed, 32 &#39;B&#39; listed, 1 &#39;C&#39; listed and 86 &#39;D&#39; listed BFIs.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the directive has made it mandatory for the BFIs to spend three percent of their total staff expenditure for the capacity enhancement of the employees. As per the directive, the training provider institutions, the capacity enhancement trainings should be selected on the basis of their popularity, reputation and credibility. In case if such trainings are not held due to any reasons, NRB has instructed the BFIs to spend the training budget adding the unspent money of the previous year to the next year&rsquo;s training. The central bank has directed BFIs to prepare and submit work plan to it regarding the capacity enhancement trainings.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;The production of paddy, maize and other crops has increased this year compared to past years, as per the preliminary statistics published by the Ministry of Agriculture Development (MoAD).</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to MoAD, production of paddy this year has broken all the past records.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Agriculture Statistics Section, paddy production this year has reached 5.23 million metric tons increasing by 21. 66 percent compared to last year. Last year, a total of 4.29 million metric tons of paddy was produced in the country. The increase this year is by 9 hundred and 31 thousand metric tons compared to last year. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This has been record production of paddy in the history of country. &nbsp;Although there has been improvement in production of cereals, situation is such that there is an outflow of billions of rupees annually for import of food grains. As per the statistics of the Trade and Export Promotion Centre, rice amounting to Rs 10 billion has been imported in the past four months.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to MoAD spokesperson Yogendra Karki, the ministry has made a preliminary projection of production of 10.4 million tons of the main food crops in until April this year. As per the Ministry statistics, Nepal needs 9.6 million tons of food grains including rice, maize, wheat and millet.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import and export of food grains for Nepal is considered obvious as the country is the member of the World Trade Organization and has adopted the free-market economy. &ldquo;However, it is a serious issue that the Nepal is importing foods grains amounting to billions of rupees despite an enormous potential of agriculture in the country,&rdquo; says Karki.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sources say usually the import of fine and fragrant rice have been increasing every year due to the rising living standards of Nepalis contributed by impact of remittances and increasing capacity of &nbsp;people to earn money.&nbsp; The Ministry claims that Nepal can be self-reliant on food grains very soon if the food habit of the Nepalis improves.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This year, the production of maize has also increased and reached 2.25 million metric tons against 2.23 million metric tons last year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The main reasons for rise in production this year are adequate rainfall, timely transplantation, smooth supply of chemical fertilizers and hybrid seeds and improvement in agro technology, the ministry says.</p>

<p>Speaking at a press conference at the ministry, Sharma informed the portal will help investors to know about the projects that will be constructed by their investments. He further added that the profit can be obtained through the invested projects.</p>

<p>Minister Sharma also unveiled the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) rate of reservoir-based and PROR hydropower projects. The highest PPA rate has been fixed at Rs 12.40 per unit. The rate has been fixed as per the recommendation of the report prepared by a committee formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary Chiranjivi Chataut. As per the decision, storage-type hydel projects will get Rs 12.40 per unit in the dry season (January to May). Similarly, such rate will be Rs 7.10 per unit in the wet season (May to December).Meanwhile, for PROR projects will get Rs 10.55 per unit in the dry season and Rs 4.80 per unit in the dry season.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;The fixed PPA rate will be implemented till the completion of projects to produce10, 000MW power,&rdquo; informed Sharma. According to him, after the target of 10,000MW is achieved, the rate will be revised. As per the unveiled rate, the investors interested to invest in storage-type hydel projects will get 17 percent of profit.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Thapa said that 44 BFIs in Kanchanpur invested Rs 12.26 billion and 16 BFIs in Dadeldhura invested Rs 1.40 billion. Likewises nine BFIs in Baitadi invested Rs 720 million, 17 BFIs in Acham invested 450 million and eight BFIs in Darchula invested Rs 590 million. Moreover, six BFIs in Bajura invested Rs 240 million and seven BFIs in Bajhang invested Rs 260 million loan.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the deposit collected by the BFIs of Kailali has been Rs18.9 billion during the period. Similarly, deposit collection from Kanchanpur was Rs 9.10 billion, Rs 2.29 billion from Dadeldhura and Rs 1.16 billion from Doti. Likewise, Rs 1.63 billion from Baitadi, Rs 780 million from Acham, Rs 1.25 billion from Darchula and Rs 670 million deposit were collected from Bajura. Also, 960 million deposit from Bajhang was also collected resulting a total of Rs 37.54 billion deposit collection, according to the statistics of NRB Dhanghadi.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Thapa informed that there are 203 BFIs in the Province Number7. According to him, Kailali with the 84 BFIs has the highest number of BFIs whereas Bajura with only six BFIs has the least BFIs. The nine districts of Far Western region has 112 &#39;A&#39; listed, 32 &#39;B&#39; listed, 1 &#39;C&#39; listed and 86 &#39;D&#39; listed BFIs.</p>
