	In the ceremony, THAI distributed Hall of Fame awards to the Top Passenger and Cargo Sales Agents along with the Top Supporting Agents for their performance and support. The awards were distributed by Chantouch Srinilta, General Manager Nepal and Bhutan, Thai Arilines. The programme was followed by team building exercise among the participants and THAI staff. THAI operated its first flight to Kathmandu on 4th December 1968.</div>',

Playing of 20 handicap, Sherpa was tied with Chinese Golfer Liu Jie at 41 stableford points. Sherpa scored 20 points on the front nine and 21 points on the back nine whereas Lie scored 23 on the front and 18 on the back. With the win, Ang Dorji received business class ticket to Doha, courtesy of Oman Air, along with two nights stay at intercontinental Doha and two rounds of Golf at Doha Golf Club. Lie finished runner-up in the tournament playing with 14 handicap.</div>

	Lobsang Tashi won the Best Gross award with 33 gross points. Puspa Rai won the ladies category with 33 points and Rekha Ghimire finished second with 26 points.</div>

Min Bahadur Raut won the Super Senior category (age 70 and above) with 30 points. Pratima Gurung scored 19 points over 9 holes to win the Junior Category and Arnav Shah was winner amongst the sub juniors. Abu Sherpa won the longest drive award and Ang Dorjee Sherpa won the closest to the pin. Sherpa also won the Hospitality Category with 30 points.</div>

Manandhar completed the race within the 32 hour time limit, running from Saturday morning till the next day afternoon. The track was inside a large forest park in Sebastian, Florida.&nbsp;</div>

	A total of 56 registered to undertake the challenge, who were mostly veteran runners. Due to the sheer difficulty of the race, only 11 runners completed the race and Manandhar was one of them. Not only did she complete the race within time, but she was also presented with the Wild Sebastian 100 Perseverance Award. Manandhar is a Senior Accounting Manager at FIS Global and is active within the Jacksonville Nepali community. 	With Christmas on its way, five star hotels are welcoming it by organising traditional cake mixing ceremony. Christmas cake mixing is an annual ceremony that marks the arrival of Christmas. Hotel Radisson organised its Traditional Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony on December 1. This year, the program was headed by Anil Malik- General Manager of the Hotel along with in-house guests, media representatives, Head of Departments and the Executive team.</div>

	In the event, the ingredients of the festive fruit cake were mixed with wine and liquor in advance so that the ingredients can develop aroma and taste. The ingredients comprised of dry fruits like black currents, sultanas, raisins, prunes, dry apricot, almond, pistachio nut, cashew nut, candied orange and glaze cherries. Wine and liquor are poured in with the mixture and fresh spices were added. &nbsp;</div>

The summit looked at offering cuisine experiences and visits to farms and kitchen, so that visitors can experience the diversity and authentic cuisine of the country. Anil Bhandari, chairman of Smart Solutions said, &ldquo;In the growing food industry, only 30% was in the organised sector, while 70% in the unorganised sector. Brand identity and consistency are important.&rdquo; Chef Davindar Kumar, president of Indian Culinary Forum opined that culinary tourism would offer a unique and memorable experience but maintaining authenticity is important. In 2012, the Maldives fell short of its one million arrivals target, welcoming just 958,000 visitors. The country&rsquo;s Tourism Minister, Ahmed Adheeb, said that a higher target will be now be set for 2014, although no specific figure was given. Tourism accounts for 70% of the Maldives&rsquo; GDP. The cooperation will be through the implementation of the UNESCO World Heritage and Sustainable Tourism Programme and the development of transnational tourism initiatives to promote and protect the shared heritage of the Silk Roads Heritage Corridors. The agreement will also help in the promotion of sustainable tourism through United Nations partnerships and initiatives, such as the United Nations Steering Committee on Tourism for Development (SCTD) and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Tourism (GPST). In addition to support for a common visa system across Southeast Asia, a visa reciprocity system between countries also gained the support of 87% of respondents. The study also illustrates the extent to which visa requirements influence the holiday choices of Asian travellers, with three-quarters admitting that their choice of destination was &ldquo;often dictated by visa requirements&rdquo;. THAI operated its first flight to Kathmandu on 4th December 1968.</div>',

Playing of 20 handicap, Sherpa was tied with Chinese Golfer Liu Jie at 41 stableford points. Sherpa scored 20 points on the front nine and 21 points on the back nine whereas Lie scored 23 on the front and 18 on the back. With the win, Ang Dorji received business class ticket to Doha, courtesy of Oman Air, along with two nights stay at intercontinental Doha and two rounds of Golf at Doha Golf Club. Lie finished runner-up in the tournament playing with 14 handicap.</div>

	Lobsang Tashi won the Best Gross award with 33 gross points. Puspa Rai won the ladies category with 33 points and Rekha Ghimire finished second with 26 points.</div>

	Prem Sachdev was the winner of the Senior Category with 37 points; Tsultrim Lama was second in the senior category with 36 points. Min Bahadur Raut won the Super Senior category (age 70 and above) with 30 points. Pratima Gurung scored 19 points over 9 holes to win the Junior Category and Arnav Shah was winner amongst the sub juniors. Abu Sherpa won the longest drive award and Ang Dorjee Sherpa won the closest to the pin. Sherpa also won the Hospitality Category with 30 points.</div>

	&nbsp;A total of 105 Golfers took part in the tournament including six juniors and eight ladies. The tournament was played over 18 holes in stableford format with 7/8 handicap allowance.</div>',

Manandhar completed the race within the 32 hour time limit, running from Saturday morning till the next day afternoon. The track was inside a large forest park in Sebastian, Florida.&nbsp;</div>

	A total of 56 registered to undertake the challenge, who were mostly veteran runners. Due to the sheer difficulty of the race, only 11 runners completed the race and Manandhar was one of them. Not only did she complete the race within time, but she was also presented with the Wild Sebastian 100 Perseverance Award. Manandhar is a Senior Accounting Manager at FIS Global and is active within the Jacksonville Nepali community. 	With Christmas on its way, five star hotels are welcoming it by organising traditional cake mixing ceremony. Christmas cake mixing is an annual ceremony that marks the arrival of Christmas. Hotel Radisson organised its Traditional Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony on December 1. This year, the program was headed by Anil Malik- General Manager of the Hotel along with in-house guests, media representatives, Head of Departments and the Executive team.</div>

	In the event, the ingredients of the festive fruit cake were mixed with wine and liquor in advance so that the ingredients can develop aroma and taste. The ingredients comprised of dry fruits like black currents, sultanas, raisins, prunes, dry apricot, almond, pistachio nut, cashew nut, candied orange and glaze cherries. Wine and liquor are poured in with the mixture and fresh spices were added. &nbsp;</div>

	Similarly, Hotel Shangrila also organized its Cake Mixing Ceremony on December 2 in the Shambala Garden to welcome Christmas. The cake mixing was done by the guests long with the chefs of the hotel.&nbsp;</div>

The summit looked at offering cuisine experiences and visits to farms and kitchen, so that visitors can experience the diversity and authentic cuisine of the country. Anil Bhandari, chairman of Smart Solutions said, &ldquo;In the growing food industry, only 30% was in the organised sector, while 70% in the unorganised sector. Brand identity and consistency are important.&rdquo; Chef Davindar Kumar, president of Indian Culinary Forum opined that culinary tourism would offer a unique and memorable experience but maintaining authenticity is important. The news will come as a boost to the country where significant political unrest in recent years has threatened to destabilise its vital tourism sector. In 2012, the Maldives fell short of its one million arrivals target, welcoming just 958,000 visitors. The country&rsquo;s Tourism Minister, Ahmed Adheeb, said that a higher target will be now be set for 2014, although no specific figure was given. Tourism accounts for 70% of the Maldives&rsquo; GDP. Under the Memorandum of Understanding, signed by UNWTO Secretary-General, Taleb Rifai and UNESCO Director General, Irina Bokova, in the margins of the UN Chief Executives Board Meeting, UNWTO and UNESCO will work together on national, regional and global initiatives in the areas of sustainable tourism and the safeguarding of natural and cultural heritage. The cooperation will be through the implementation of the UNESCO World Heritage and Sustainable Tourism Programme and the development of transnational tourism initiatives to promote and protect the shared heritage of the Silk Roads Heritage Corridors. The agreement will also help in the promotion of sustainable tourism through United Nations partnerships and initiatives, such as the United Nations Steering Committee on Tourism for Development (SCTD) and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Tourism (GPST). The major attractions of this festival are food competition, national level folk songs competition, dance competition among housewives, display of domestic products, and consumer goods, children&rsquo;s park and musical performances among others. A total of 130 stalls including 110 by different business houses, 12 restaurants, and eight social, health and security organizations will be in the festival. 	A new airport is being developed in China to boost tourism at Wulingyuan, which was made famous as the inspiration for the movie Avatar. The new Lotus International Airport will serve the city of Zhangjiajie, in central China&rsquo;s Hunan province, which is the gateway to the UNESCO-listed Wulingyuan Scenic &amp; Historic Interest Area. Wulingyuan forms part of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which was named as China&rsquo;s first national forest park in 1982. Its soaring limestone karsts and lush jungle was cited by Hollywood director James Cameron as the basis for the fictional world of Pandora in his 2009 movie. Since Avatar was released, Wulingyuan has experience a surge in tourism numbers, and authorities in Hunan have now decided to develop a new international airport to serve this rising traffic. This came from a sample group of 7,000 people from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, India and China. In addition to support for a common visa system across Southeast Asia, a visa reciprocity system between countries also gained the support of 87% of respondents. The study also illustrates the extent to which visa requirements influence the holiday choices of Asian travellers, with three-quarters admitting that their choice of destination was &ldquo;often dictated by visa requirements&rdquo;. First delivery of the 737 MAX is on track for third quarter of 2017. Boeing&#39;s highly efficient and reliable 737 family is the proven market leader. To date, 266 customers worldwide have placed more than 11,200 orders for the single-aisle airplane &ndash; including more than 6,500 orders for the Next-Generation 737 and more than 1,600 orders for the 737 MAX. 	Ang Dorjee Sherpa has won the Soaltee Crowne Plaza Annual Golf Tournament 2013 played at Gokarna Forest Resort on Saturday. Playing of 20 handicap, Sherpa was tied with Chinese Golfer Liu Jie at 41 stableford points. Sherpa scored 20 points on the front nine and 21 points on the back nine whereas Lie scored 23 on the front and 18 on the back. With the win, Ang Dorji received business class ticket to Doha, courtesy of Oman Air, along with two nights stay at intercontinental Doha and two rounds of Golf at Doha Golf Club. Lie finished runner-up in the tournament playing with 14 handicap.</div>

Abu Sherpa won the longest drive award and Ang Dorjee Sherpa won the closest to the pin. Sherpa also won the Hospitality Category with 30 points.</div>

Manandhar completed the race within the 32 hour time limit, running from Saturday morning till the next day afternoon. The track was inside a large forest park in Sebastian, Florida.&nbsp;</div>

Manandhar is a Senior Accounting Manager at FIS Global and is active within the Jacksonville Nepali community. The major attractions of this festival are food competition, national level folk songs competition, dance competition among housewives, display of domestic products, and consumer goods, children&rsquo;s park and musical performances among others. A total of 130 stalls including 110 by different business houses, 12 restaurants, and eight social, health and security organizations will be in the festival. 	A new airport is being developed in China to boost tourism at Wulingyuan, which was made famous as the inspiration for the movie Avatar. The new Lotus International Airport will serve the city of Zhangjiajie, in central China&rsquo;s Hunan province, which is the gateway to the UNESCO-listed Wulingyuan Scenic &amp; Historic Interest Area. Wulingyuan forms part of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which was named as China&rsquo;s first national forest park in 1982. Its soaring limestone karsts and lush jungle was cited by Hollywood director James Cameron as the basis for the fictional world of Pandora in his 2009 movie. Since Avatar was released, Wulingyuan has experience a surge in tourism numbers, and authorities in Hunan have now decided to develop a new international airport to serve this rising traffic. This came from a sample group of 7,000 people from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, India and China. In addition to support for a common visa system across Southeast Asia, a visa reciprocity system between countries also gained the support of 87% of respondents. The study also illustrates the extent to which visa requirements influence the holiday choices of Asian travellers, with three-quarters admitting that their choice of destination was &ldquo;often dictated by visa requirements&rdquo;. To date, 266 customers worldwide have placed more than 11,200 orders for the single-aisle airplane &ndash; including more than 6,500 orders for the Next-Generation 737 and more than 1,600 orders for the 737 MAX. Sherpa scored 20 points on the front nine and 21 points on the back nine whereas Lie scored 23 on the front and 18 on the back. With the win, Ang Dorji received business class ticket to Doha, courtesy of Oman Air, along with two nights stay at intercontinental Doha and two rounds of Golf at Doha Golf Club. Lie finished runner-up in the tournament playing with 14 handicap.</div>

Manandhar completed the race within the 32 hour time limit, running from Saturday morning till the next day afternoon. The track was inside a large forest park in Sebastian, Florida.&nbsp;</div>

	A total of 56 registered to undertake the challenge, who were mostly veteran runners. Due to the sheer difficulty of the race, only 11 runners completed the race and Manandhar was one of them. Manandhar is a Senior Accounting Manager at FIS Global and is active within the Jacksonville Nepali community. 	Boeing projects that airlines in the Middle East will need nearly 100,000 new pilots and technicians to support the expanding demand for new airplane deliveries over the next two decades. At the Dubai Air Show this week, Boeing released the regional projections of the 2013 Pilot and Technician Outlook - a respected industry forecast of aviation personnel. &nbsp;With the aviation industry in the Middle East growing faster than the world average, the Boeing outlook predicts the region will require 40,000 pilots and 53,100 technicians over the next 20 years. For the Middle East region an average of 2,000 new pilots and more than 2,600 new airline technicians will be needed each year to meet the expected demand. 	Philippine&rsquo;s Department of Tourism (DOT) has said tourism will play a &ldquo;significant role&rdquo; in rebuilding the country after the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan. Tourism already accounts for 8 per cent of the country&rsquo;s GDP and provides many jobs to communities as well as improved facilities as infrastructure is built. The DOT called on the private and public sectors to help the country return to normalcy and continue tourism growth, with many travel companies already pledging donations and help in the relief stages. The DOT&rsquo;s update to the trade also included a report into the flight and hotel situation in the country. 	A new airport is being developed in China to boost tourism at Wulingyuan, which was made famous as the inspiration for the movie Avatar. The new Lotus International Airport will serve the city of Zhangjiajie, in central China&rsquo;s Hunan province, which is the gateway to the UNESCO-listed Wulingyuan Scenic &amp; Historic Interest Area. Wulingyuan forms part of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which was named as China&rsquo;s first national forest park in 1982. Its soaring limestone karsts and lush jungle was cited by Hollywood director James Cameron as the basis for the fictional world of Pandora in his 2009 movie. Since Avatar was released, Wulingyuan has experience a surge in tourism numbers, and authorities in Hunan have now decided to develop a new international airport to serve this rising traffic. The Biju Patnaik Airport in Bhubaneswar as well as Imphal airport belongs to the Airports Authority of India. Bhubaneswar airport is suitable for operation of Code &lsquo;D&rsquo; aircraft with night operations facility, runway 14/32 of dimensions 2743m X 45m, apron to park six aircraft and navigational aids. Imphal airport is suitable for &lsquo;C&rsquo; type of aircraft operations in all weather conditions. The study, conducted by travel search site Skyscanner, found that 81% of people would welcome an EU-style single visa system across the Southeast Asian bloc. This came from a sample group of 7,000 people from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, India and China. In addition to support for a common visa system across Southeast Asia, a visa reciprocity system between countries also gained the support of 87% of respondents. The study also illustrates the extent to which visa requirements influence the holiday choices of Asian travellers, with three-quarters admitting that their choice of destination was &ldquo;often dictated by visa requirements&rdquo;. Once implemented, the 737 program will build more than 560 airplanes per year, and will have increased output by nearly 50 percent since 2010. &nbsp;Boeing currently produces 38 airplanes per month from its Renton, Wash., factory and will increase the rate to 42 per month in the first half of 2014. First delivery of the 737 MAX is on track for third quarter of 2017. Boeing&#39;s highly efficient and reliable 737 family is the proven market leader. To date, 266 customers worldwide have placed more than 11,200 orders for the single-aisle airplane &ndash; including more than 6,500 orders for the Next-Generation 737 and more than 1,600 orders for the 737 MAX.
