The Spa is run by professionals having experience of 30 years in the industry. Bhuwan Phaiju, Chairman of Tranquility Spa has years of experience in providing spa services at 5 Star hotels in Nepal and abroad. “I have been working in the sector from the time when people knew nothing about spas. In recent days, people are becoming more aware of the health benefits of spa, and the number is ever increasing,” says Phaiju. </div> <div> </div> <div> When Phaiju first started his own spa, he was faced with a big problem as there were not many trained spa therapists and workers in Nepal. “When I advertised in the papers calling for spa therapists, we only got response from beauticians and barbers. Not a single therapist applied,” recalls Phaiju. To cope with the problem, he also established a spa training centre and started providing training. In this way, he produced the needed manpower for his Spa himself. Today, those trained from his training centre are working in numerous spas in Nepal and abroad as the demand for such therapists is very high. </div> <div> </div> <div> Tranquility Spa’s initial days were not easy ones. A lot of customers came, but with different expectations owing to the stigma attached with massage centres and spas. Phaiju said he spent a lot of time explaining to his customers the real meaning and benefits of spa. A few tried the services and they almost always returned, says he. Slowly the Spa gained popularity among foreigners and Nepalis as well. Today, Tranquillity Spa has already made a name for itself, and has its branches in Lazimpat, Thamel, Kupondole, Pokhara and in a few 5 star hotels. Almost 70 per cent of its customers are Nepalis, indicating that people are becoming interested in spa services. </div> <div> </div> <div> Spa, in its literal sense, means healing through water, and has been in practice since ancient Greek and Roman times. In plain words, the spa services use natural processes to heal any human ailments. Spa services are used around the world for its health benefits, rejuvenation and mental and physical healing. Though it started from bathing, now the spa services encompasses many aspects, like massage, Shirodhara, manicure, pedicure and many others. </div> <div> </div> <div> Tranquilty Spa uses natural healing techniques, Ayurveda and Amchi (Himalayan Herbs) to provide relief from illnesses, and improve the overall quality of life. The services offered here include Shirodhara, Ayurvedic massage, Deep Tissue massage, Spinal Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Picu, Reflexology and Yoga among many others. The Spa also offers Sauna and Steam Bath and various beautification services like facial, body scrub, waxing, manicure and pedicure. </div> <div> </div> <div> According to Phaiju, the major benefit of using spa services is the improved blood circulation which in turn provides all other benefits. The improved blood circulation improves concentration, provides relaxation, detoxifies the body, improves immunity and increases the flow of oxygen in the body, claims Phaiju. “Spa is beneficial for all, and especially helps cure problems resulting from the busy urban lifestyle. Problems like anxiety, depression and hypertension get better by using our services,” says Phaiju. According to him, it is also beneficial for muscle and joint problems, uric acid, diabetes, migraine and almost all ailments. </div> <div> </div> <div> Tranquilty Spa charges foreigners and Nepalis differently, and Nepalis are offered services at relatively lower price. Services are offered depending upon customer’s choice and the problems they have. A visit to Tranquility Spa once could prove beneficial for both the robust and those with any ailments. Try once to let nature do the healing. </div> <div> </div> <div> <img alt="Tranquility Spa" src="/userfiles/images/tspa1.jpg" style="width: 300px; height: 181px;" /> <img alt="Tranquility Spa" src="/userfiles/images/tspa2.jpg" style="width: 202px; height: 181px;" /></div>', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2013-08-12', 'modified' => '0000-00-00', 'keywords' => 'the corporate weekly from Nepal, nepali corporate events – news – interviews – reviews, nepali corporate focus, nepali corporate status and news, news from nepali corporate industry, corporate happenings – events – news from nepal', 'description' => 'Tranquility Spa, the first Day Spa Centre in Nepal and the one to be recognized by Nepal Tourism Board, has been providing its services for six years now.', 'sortorder' => '1473', 'image' => null, 'article_date' => '0000-00-00 00:00:00', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => false, 'in_scroller' => false, 'user_id' => '0' ) ), (int) 7 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '1569', 'article_category_id' => '99', 'title' => 'Dragonair’s Offer For Nabil USD Credit Card Holders', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => null, 'content' => '<div> </div> <div> <img alt="dRAGON aIR" src="/userfiles/images/dragon.jpg" style=" float: left; margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px; width: 150px; height: 35px;" />Dragonair is offering an online fare promotion for Nabil Bank USD credit card holders.
