Five Star Hotels Welcome Christmas

With Christmas on its way, five star hotels are welcoming it by organising traditional cake mixing ceremony. Christmas cake mixing is an annual ceremony that marks the arrival of Christmas. Hotel Radisson organised its Traditional Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony on December 1. This year, the program was headed by Anil Malik- General Manager of the Hotel along with in-house guests, media representatives, Head of Departments and the Executive team.
 
In the event, the ingredients of the festive fruit cake were mixed with wine and liquor in advance so that the ingredients can develop aroma and taste. The ingredients comprised of dry fruits like black currents, sultanas, raisins, prunes, dry apricot, almond, pistachio nut, cashew nut, candied orange and glaze cherries. Wine and liquor are poured in with the mixture and fresh spices were added.  
 
Similarly, Hotel Shangrila also organized its Cake Mixing Ceremony on December 2 in the Shambala Garden to welcome Christmas. The ceremony was attended by celebrities like Nagma Shrestha, Miss Nepal Earth, 2012 and Subeksha Khadka, Miss Nepal International 2012 along with other guests. The cake mixing was done by the guests long with the chefs of the hotel. 
 
Shangrila’s cake was a mixture of rum and brandy along with different dry fruits. Mulled wine, chicken sworma, Caesar salad, sandwiches and chocolates were served in the ceremony.
