Nepal Bags Best Decorated International Stall In IITM 2013

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) along with five travel trade companies from Nepal participated in India International Travel Mart (IITM) in Maharashtra, India from 22-24 November 2013. The three-day event highlighted Nepal through Lord Shiva, Mount Everest and as birthplace of Lord Buddha, and showcased diverse tourism attractions offering special packages for travellers of Pune.
According to NTB, Nepal’s stall was located in the most prime location at the entrance and was the point of attraction for visitors. At a special ceremony conducted by the organizers during the IITM 2013 Awards Night, Nepal was recognized and honoured with the ‘Best Decorated International Stall’ award.
The event conveyed the message that Nepal is not just the nearest international destination with value for money but also a gateway to various Himalayan treks in Nepal and also to Mount Kailash in Tibet. Besides the pilgrimage tours of Pashupatinath and Muktinath, city tours of Kathmandu , Pokhara and Chitwan, Nepal is increasingly becoming the nearest international trekking destination for the Pune youths, college and university students. While Indians have taken overseas travel as a part of their lifestyle, Nepal with easy access by air and land has succeeded in receiving a good number of Indian visitors.
