<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;Upper Marsyangdi &#39;A&#39; started generating additional 25MW of power to its full capacity from December 23,&quot; said Karna Adhikari, Public Relation Officer of the project. He added &quot;The produced electricity will be connected to Nepal Electricity Authority&#39;s &#39;Metering Unit&#39; within a week.&quot;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Two turbines with the capacity of 25MW each has been installed in the project. According to the project, 40MW electricity is being generated from both units at present. Earlier, the project was operating on only one turbine.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;The power generation fluctuate as per the direction of NEA,&quot; said Adhikari. The project constructed transmission line on its own expenses. The electricity generated from the project has been connected to NEA&#39;s Damauli transmission line. &nbsp;According to the project, it will produce 57 million units of electricity in the current dry season and 260.6 million units in rainy season totalling 317.6 million units of electricity in one year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project has been constructed with a total of Rs 16 billion investment in which Chinese company Sino Hydro and Sagarmatha Hydropower share 90 and 10 per cent respectively. &nbsp;The project which is 5.2 kilometres long is based on run of the river technology. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Thankot-Naubise tunnel road is the first tunnel road of Nepal and is targeted to finish by 2022. The government initiated the project in a bid to make transportation network more effective. It has allocated Rs 1.86 billion in the budget for the construction of the tunnel road.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The government made the loan agreement with Japan Government to manage the remaining expenses including technicians. The loan is repayable to Japan in 40 years period with 0.01 interest rate. According to the agreement, interest for first 10 years has been exempted.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the agreement, in the five Kilometres long road from Thankot (Baad Bhanjyang) to Naubise of Dhading, 2.5 kilometres will be a two-lane tunnel and remaining 2.5 kilometres will be an approach road. The 2.2 kilometres approach road will be constructed in Kathmandu and nearly half kilometre will be constructed in Dhading. Two bridges and two culverts will also be constructed in the approach road. &nbsp;After the completion of the project, it is expected that the traffic jams and travel time will significantly decrease at the entry point of the capital. &nbsp;</p>

It was estimated to cost Rs 2.16 billion, however, the cost increased due to delayed construction,&quot; informed Dhungana. The HEP is being operated in a total of 182 ropanies of land in which it leased 92 ropanis from Nepal government. Similarly, it leased 75 ropanies from locals and 15 ropanies through exchange with Forest Office. The delayed construction of Kabeli Corridor has caused the HEP losses at its initial phase, as per the project.</p>

The total cost of the project is estimated nearly Rs 876.3 million. 70 per cent of the amount is being financed through a consortium loan from BFIs including NCC and Prabhu Bank headed by Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini. The developer of the project informed that eight cooperative organisations of Dolkha district are also investing in the project. &quot;The co-operatives are investing through the company as there are legal constraints on direct investment for such institutions in hydropower sector,&quot; said Tika Prasad Chaulagain, Project Head of Ghattekhola Hydropower Project.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Under the project, a dam will be constructed to fetch water from the river to desander basin with 38 meters in length, three meters wide and 4.20 meters in height from where 976 meters penstock pipe has been installed to send the water to the two turbines build at the powerhouse constructed in Marbu-5. &nbsp;Then the water will be dispensed through the two turbines to generate electricity with the help of 2 generators installed at the powerhouse. <p style="text-align: justify;">Two turbines with the capacity of 25MW each has been installed in the project. According to the project, 40MW electricity is being generated from both units at present. Earlier, the project was operating on only one turbine.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;The power generation fluctuate as per the direction of NEA,&quot; said Adhikari. The project constructed transmission line on its own expenses. The electricity generated from the project has been connected to NEA&#39;s Damauli transmission line. &nbsp;According to the project, it will produce 57 million units of electricity in the current dry season and 260.6 million units in rainy season totalling 317.6 million units of electricity in one year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project has been constructed with a total of Rs 16 billion investment in which Chinese company Sino Hydro and Sagarmatha Hydropower share 90 and 10 per cent respectively. &nbsp;The project which is 5.2 kilometres long is based on run of the river technology. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Thankot-Naubise tunnel road is the first tunnel road of Nepal and is targeted to finish by 2022. The government initiated the project in a bid to make transportation network more effective. It has allocated Rs 1.86 billion in the budget for the construction of the tunnel road.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The government made the loan agreement with Japan Government to manage the remaining expenses including technicians. The loan is repayable to Japan in 40 years period with 0.01 interest rate. According to the agreement, interest for first 10 years has been exempted.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the agreement, in the five Kilometres long road from Thankot (Baad Bhanjyang) to Naubise of Dhading, 2.5 kilometres will be a two-lane tunnel and remaining 2.5 kilometres will be an approach road. The 2.2 kilometres approach road will be constructed in Kathmandu and nearly half kilometre will be constructed in Dhading. Two bridges and two culverts will also be constructed in the approach road. &nbsp;After the completion of the project, it is expected that the traffic jams and travel time will significantly decrease at the entry point of the capital. &nbsp;</p>

The 15 MW HEP started to produce 8 KW power in the winter season. The river is located at the border of Varpa of Panchthar and Yangnam VDC. &quot;However, the electricity generated is going wasted being unable to connect to the central transmission line due to the unfinished construction of Kabeli corridor,&quot; said Puspa Jyoti Dhungana, Project Head of the HEP.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the project, the Kabeli Corridor is 4.3 kilometres away from the HEP powerhouse. Although, the corridor has reached to the substation in Thapatar of Panchthar, the substation has not been able to charge the electricity due to which the power generated from HEP could not be connected to the central transmission line. &quot;Thus the HEP has now stopped to operate the power generating machine resulting Rs 1.4 million losses per day,&quot; said Dhungana.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;The HEP is financed by 11 BFIs including Machhapuchchhre Bank and Nepal Investment Bank headed by Sanima Bank and other various investors. It was estimated to cost Rs 2.16 billion, however, the cost increased due to delayed construction,&quot; informed Dhungana. The HEP is being operated in a total of 182 ropanies of land in which it leased 92 ropanis from Nepal government. Similarly, it leased 75 ropanies from locals and 15 ropanies through exchange with Forest Office. The delayed construction of Kabeli Corridor has caused the HEP losses at its initial phase, as per the project.</p>

Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Pvt Ltd is developing the project that is situated at 75 KM North from the district headquarter Charikot. The total cost of the project is estimated nearly Rs 876.3 million. 70 per cent of the amount is being financed through a consortium loan from BFIs including NCC and Prabhu Bank headed by Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini. The developer of the project informed that eight cooperative organisations of Dolkha district are also investing in the project. &quot;The co-operatives are investing through the company as there are legal constraints on direct investment for such institutions in hydropower sector,&quot; said Tika Prasad Chaulagain, Project Head of Ghattekhola Hydropower Project.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Under the project, a dam will be constructed to fetch water from the river to desander basin with 38 meters in length, three meters wide and 4.20 meters in height from where 976 meters penstock pipe has been installed to send the water to the two turbines build at the powerhouse constructed in Marbu-5. &nbsp;Then the water will be dispensed through the two turbines to generate electricity with the help of 2 generators installed at the powerhouse. According to the developer, a 14 kilometres long 33 KV capacity transmission line from GhatteKhola to Singati substation will be constructed on the single circuit. &nbsp;The project is estimated to generate a total of 29.87 GW electricity annually. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;Upper Marsyangdi &#39;A&#39; started generating additional 25MW of power to its full capacity from December 23,&quot; said Karna Adhikari, Public Relation Officer of the project. He added &quot;The produced electricity will be connected to Nepal Electricity Authority&#39;s &#39;Metering Unit&#39; within a week.&quot;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Two turbines with the capacity of 25MW each has been installed in the project. According to the project, 40MW electricity is being generated from both units at present. Earlier, the project was operating on only one turbine.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;The power generation fluctuate as per the direction of NEA,&quot; said Adhikari. The project constructed transmission line on its own expenses. The electricity generated from the project has been connected to NEA&#39;s Damauli transmission line. &nbsp;According to the project, it will produce 57 million units of electricity in the current dry season and 260.6 million units in rainy season totalling 317.6 million units of electricity in one year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project has been constructed with a total of Rs 16 billion investment in which Chinese company Sino Hydro and Sagarmatha Hydropower share 90 and 10 per cent respectively. &nbsp;The project which is 5.2 kilometres long is based on run of the river technology. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Thankot-Naubise tunnel road is the first tunnel road of Nepal and is targeted to finish by 2022. The government initiated the project in a bid to make transportation network more effective. It has allocated Rs 1.86 billion in the budget for the construction of the tunnel road.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The government made the loan agreement with Japan Government to manage the remaining expenses including technicians. The loan is repayable to Japan in 40 years period with 0.01 interest rate. According to the agreement, interest for first 10 years has been exempted.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the agreement, in the five Kilometres long road from Thankot (Baad Bhanjyang) to Naubise of Dhading, 2.5 kilometres will be a two-lane tunnel and remaining 2.5 kilometres will be an approach road. The 2.2 kilometres approach road will be constructed in Kathmandu and nearly half kilometre will be constructed in Dhading. Two bridges and two culverts will also be constructed in the approach road. &nbsp;After the completion of the project, it is expected that the traffic jams and travel time will significantly decrease at the entry point of the capital. &nbsp;</p>

The HEP is being operated in a total of 182 ropanies of land in which it leased 92 ropanis from Nepal government. Similarly, it leased 75 ropanies from locals and 15 ropanies through exchange with Forest Office. The delayed construction of Kabeli Corridor has caused the HEP losses at its initial phase, as per the project.</p>

The total cost of the project is estimated nearly Rs 876.3 million. 70 per cent of the amount is being financed through a consortium loan from BFIs including NCC and Prabhu Bank headed by Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini. <p style="text-align: justify;">Two turbines with the capacity of 25MW each has been installed in the project. According to the project, 40MW electricity is being generated from both units at present. Earlier, the project was operating on only one turbine.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;The power generation fluctuate as per the direction of NEA,&quot; said Adhikari. The project constructed transmission line on its own expenses. The electricity generated from the project has been connected to NEA&#39;s Damauli transmission line. &nbsp;According to the project, it will produce 57 million units of electricity in the current dry season and 260.6 million units in rainy season totalling 317.6 million units of electricity in one year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project has been constructed with a total of Rs 16 billion investment in which Chinese company Sino Hydro and Sagarmatha Hydropower share 90 and 10 per cent respectively. &nbsp;The project which is 5.2 kilometres long is based on run of the river technology. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Thankot-Naubise tunnel road is the first tunnel road of Nepal and is targeted to finish by 2022. The government initiated the project in a bid to make transportation network more effective. It has allocated Rs 1.86 billion in the budget for the construction of the tunnel road.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The government made the loan agreement with Japan Government to manage the remaining expenses including technicians. The loan is repayable to Japan in 40 years period with 0.01 interest rate. According to the agreement, interest for first 10 years has been exempted.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the agreement, in the five Kilometres long road from Thankot (Baad Bhanjyang) to Naubise of Dhading, 2.5 kilometres will be a two-lane tunnel and remaining 2.5 kilometres will be an approach road. The 2.2 kilometres approach road will be constructed in Kathmandu and nearly half kilometre will be constructed in Dhading. Two bridges and two culverts will also be constructed in the approach road. &nbsp;After the completion of the project, it is expected that the traffic jams and travel time will significantly decrease at the entry point of the capital. &nbsp;</p>

The HEP is being operated in a total of 182 ropanies of land in which it leased 92 ropanis from Nepal government. Similarly, it leased 75 ropanies from locals and 15 ropanies through exchange with Forest Office. The delayed construction of Kabeli Corridor has caused the HEP losses at its initial phase, as per the project.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;This year&rsquo;s Enterprise Program followed an innovative model which made the program even more exciting for the second batch. We emphasized on one-on-one coaching, specific problem solving clinics for the participating companies, and financial and legal due-diligence in order to make them investment ready right from the beginning of the program. This Demo Day is the cumulative outcome of 12 weeks of hard work from our expert panel of mentors and instructors, our partners along with the six companies,&quot; said Ajay Shrestha, Program Director at Enterprise.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The program was initiated by Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs&rsquo; Forum (NYEF) in partnership with Centre for Creation of Economic Wealth (CCEW) at the University of Oklahoma. Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Pvt Ltd is developing the project that is situated at 75 KM North from the district headquarter Charikot. The total cost of the project is estimated nearly Rs 876.3 million. 70 per cent of the amount is being financed through a consortium loan from BFIs including NCC and Prabhu Bank headed by Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini. The developer of the project informed that eight cooperative organisations of Dolkha district are also investing in the project. &quot;The co-operatives are investing through the company as there are legal constraints on direct investment for such institutions in hydropower sector,&quot; said Tika Prasad Chaulagain, Project Head of Ghattekhola Hydropower Project.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Under the project, a dam will be constructed to fetch water from the river to desander basin with 38 meters in length, three meters wide and 4.20 meters in height from where 976 meters penstock pipe has been installed to send the water to the two turbines build at the powerhouse constructed in Marbu-5. &nbsp;Then the water will be dispensed through the two turbines to generate electricity with the help of 2 generators installed at the powerhouse. According to the developer, a 14 kilometres long 33 KV capacity transmission line from GhatteKhola to Singati substation will be constructed on the single circuit. &nbsp;The project is estimated to generate a total of 29.87 GW electricity annually. &nbsp;</p>
