It was estimated to cost Rs 2.16 billion, however, the cost increased due to delayed construction," informed Dhungana. The HEP is being operated in a total of 182 ropanies of land in which it leased 92 ropanis from Nepal government. Similarly, it leased 75 ropanies from locals and 15 ropanies through exchange with Forest Office. The delayed construction of Kabeli Corridor has caused the HEP losses at its initial phase, as per the project.</p>
