With the commitment of the airlines to pay the due amount, it has received permission to continue its flights to and fro Nepal.</p>

<p>Airport authorities informed that Air Asia, a privately owned company of Malaysia, owes around Rs 270 million to TIA, which includes service charges, interest as well as fines.</p>

<p>After the airlines failed to clear the dues by the end of February as per its written commitment made on January 8, the airport authorities had extended the deadline for payment of dues by six days till March 6. The airport authorities had warned the airlines to stop flights to Nepal if it failed to clear the dues by the given deadline.</p>

<p>However, officials of the airlines visited Nepal on the last date and signed an agreement with TIA officials as well as officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) pledging to pay the dues, according to TIA General Manager Raj Kumar Chhetri.</p>

<p>Ealier, officials of Air Asia had written a reply to TIA that it did not own any outstanding bills to Nepal. But after receiving the letter, the airlines sent its officials to Nepal to find the facts. After learning about the outstanding amount, they agreed to clear the bills, said Chhetri.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The Malaysia-based head office of Air Asia was not aware about the outstanding bills. They sent their officials hear after we handed them the bills. They have returned back to Malaysia on Tuesday, March promising to send auditors,&rdquo; said Chhetri. &nbsp;</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>

<p>Airport authorities informed that Air Asia, a privately owned company of Malaysia, owes around Rs 270 million to TIA, which includes service charges, interest as well as fines.</p>

<p>After the airlines failed to clear the dues by the end of February as per its written commitment made on January 8, the airport authorities had extended the deadline for payment of dues by six days till March 6. The airport authorities had warned the airlines to stop flights to Nepal if it failed to clear the dues by the given deadline.</p>

<p>However, officials of the airlines visited Nepal on the last date and signed an agreement with TIA officials as well as officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) pledging to pay the dues, according to TIA General Manager Raj Kumar Chhetri.</p>

<p>Ealier, officials of Air Asia had written a reply to TIA that it did not own any outstanding bills to Nepal. But after receiving the letter, the airlines sent its officials to Nepal to find the facts. After learning about the outstanding amount, they agreed to clear the bills, said Chhetri.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The Malaysia-based head office of Air Asia was not aware about the outstanding bills. They sent their officials hear after we handed them the bills. They have returned back to Malaysia on Tuesday, March promising to send auditors,&rdquo; said Chhetri. &nbsp;</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>

<p>Airport authorities informed that Air Asia, a privately owned company of Malaysia, owes around Rs 270 million to TIA, which includes service charges, interest as well as fines.</p>

<p>After the airlines failed to clear the dues by the end of February as per its written commitment made on January 8, the airport authorities had extended the deadline for payment of dues by six days till March 6. The airport authorities had warned the airlines to stop flights to Nepal if it failed to clear the dues by the given deadline.</p>

<p>However, officials of the airlines visited Nepal on the last date and signed an agreement with TIA officials as well as officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) pledging to pay the dues, according to TIA General Manager Raj Kumar Chhetri.</p>

<p>Ealier, officials of Air Asia had written a reply to TIA that it did not own any outstanding bills to Nepal. But after receiving the letter, the airlines sent its officials to Nepal to find the facts. After learning about the outstanding amount, they agreed to clear the bills, said Chhetri.</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>

<p>Airport authorities informed that Air Asia, a privately owned company of Malaysia, owes around Rs 270 million to TIA, which includes service charges, interest as well as fines.</p>

<p>After the airlines failed to clear the dues by the end of February as per its written commitment made on January 8, the airport authorities had extended the deadline for payment of dues by six days till March 6. The airport authorities had warned the airlines to stop flights to Nepal if it failed to clear the dues by the given deadline.</p>

<p>However, officials of the airlines visited Nepal on the last date and signed an agreement with TIA officials as well as officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) pledging to pay the dues, according to TIA General Manager Raj Kumar Chhetri.</p>

<p>Ealier, officials of Air Asia had written a reply to TIA that it did not own any outstanding bills to Nepal. But after receiving the letter, the airlines sent its officials to Nepal to find the facts. After learning about the outstanding amount, they agreed to clear the bills, said Chhetri.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The Malaysia-based head office of Air Asia was not aware about the outstanding bills. They sent their officials hear after we handed them the bills. They have returned back to Malaysia on Tuesday, March promising to send auditors,&rdquo; said Chhetri. &nbsp;</p>

<p>March 6: Nepal&rsquo;s embassy in Muscat, Oman has rescued 11 workers who were stranded in the Gulf nation. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali embassy said that it has returned the rescued workers back to Nepal after negotiation their release from their employer.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, about 20 Nepalis employed by Sohar-based Muwarad Wadi Hibi Modern Trade had sought help from the embassy after they were not provided proper facilities as pledged in their contract papers.</p>

<p>The Nepali workers were sent to Oman by Honesty Overseas Pvt Ltd, a manpower company which has obtained the license from the government of Nepal to send workers overseas. The workers had claimed that they were left stranded some 165 kilometers away from the company in a place known as Barka.</p>

<p>The embassy said it made a field visit to the place and immediately took measures for their safety. Even after repeated attempts with the concerned authorities to secure their rights, the embassy couldn&rsquo;t succeed in solving the problem and decided to send the workers back to Nepal upon their request.</p>

<p>The embassy has also written to the concerned authorities to take action against the companies.</p>

The first offer is for all people while the latter is exclusively for the students who are appearing for the grade 10 Secondary Education Examinations (SEE), formerly known as SLC, next month,&rdquo; says Aarif Shafi Khanyari, who is heading the company&rsquo;s marketing and sales strategy.</p>
