Funded by the European Union, the project &ldquo;Project REAL- Right to Earn A Living&rdquo; was awarded under the &lsquo;EIDHR-Country Based Support Scheme to Nepal for 2016 and 2017&rsquo; by the&nbsp;<strong>European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights,</strong> to support&nbsp;<strong>projects in the area of human rights, fundamental freedoms</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>democracy in non-EU countries.</strong><strong> Issuing a joint press statement, the EU and ICCO said that t</strong>he total budget of the project is euros 408,000 for 42 months starting from February 26, 2018.</p>

<p>Jointly envisioned by ICCO Cooperation, Yes Nepal (YN) and Sahakarmi Samaj (SS), Project REAL recognizes that inclusion of marginalized groups including persons with disabilities by integrating them into the community and promoting them as champions of change in socio-economic development is the only way towards reducing inequalities and achieving inclusive economic growth.</p>

<p>According to the statement, the project will closely engage with the primary beneficiaries - Chidimar, Kushbadia, Maganta, Badi, Tharu Kumals and Kamlaris communities - in Kailali, Banke and Dang districts to help them exercise their economic rights in a socially just environment. To address major issues and socio-economic challenges faced by target marginalized communities, Project REAL will adopt a dual approach inspired by ICCO-cooperation&rsquo;s twincore principles, namely &lsquo;securing sustainable livelihoods&rsquo; and &lsquo;justice and&nbsp;dignity for all<strong>&rsquo;</strong>.</p>

<p>While providing the targeted beneficiaries with diversified livelihoods skills, improved access to finance and productive assets like land and forest for income generation and sustainable livelihoods, Project REAL will also work to strengthen local governance to ensure that the existing provisions on socio-economic rights of marginalized communities are put into practice.</p>

<p>In this regard, the project will leverage support from Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and CBO networks earlier institutionalized/strengthened by ICCO and SS/YN&rsquo;s previous programs, which are actively involved in asserting and advocating for the socio-economic rights of the marginalized groups.</p>

<p>The project will stimulate community-led development processes by implementing innovative, need-based and community driven economic activities and by equipping marginalized communities with the skill and knowledge to uplift their livelihoods themselves. Sustainable socio-economic changes initiated by the communities will be facilitated through mobilization of local resources, development of local leadership and promotion of self-led community development process.</p>

<p>Ambassador Veronica Cody, head of the EU delegation to Nepal, officially launched the project.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The launching event held in Lalitpur brought together beneficiaries, civil society members, government and partner agencies working continuously for the respect, protection and fulfillment of marginalized communities&rsquo; rights, including the right to earn a decent living.</p>

Canberra is especially renowned for its annual hot air balloon festival, the Canberra Balloon Spectacular, one of the most celebrated hot air balloon events in the world, extending over nine days.</span></p>

<p>Among the 35 projects, the works related to 12 projects is near to completion. Similarly, the works of 18 projects are underway and five projects have just started.</p>

<p>Mukhtor Khamudkhanov, country director of ADB Nepal, said that ADB will collaborate with local levels to complete the projects on time.</p>

<p>&ldquo;All our projects are based on local levels, so we are planning to collaborate with the local levels,&rdquo; says Khammudhkanov.</p>

<p>Out of the total investment, 31 percent (Rs 76.10 million) has been allocated for urban development and drinking water. In the energy sector, ADB has allocated more than Rs 60 billion, which is equal to 25 percent of the investment. Similarly, 19 per cent of the investment that is Rs 45.30 billion has been allocated for transportation sector. Nine percent (Rs 23 billion) has been allocated in agriculture and natural resources. In the education sector, ADB has allocated Rs 14.1 billion and in the reconstruction Rs 20.30 billion. Apart from this, Rs 5 billion has been invested in other areas.</p>

<p>According to the investment review meeting of ADB, it is challenging for ADB to complete the projects on time due to unstable systems and lack of clarity at the policy-making level in Nepal. ADB has been facing lots of challenges in the project of Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha Airport.</p>

<p>The government says that it has been working with the donors to complete the projects on time. In the investment review meeting, Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that government will help the ADB to utilise its time and investment properly by completing the projects on time.</p>

The company is promoted by Sanima Group and Dolma Impact Fund.</p>

<p>The banks said they have committed to financing 75 percent of the project cost of Rs 4.19 billion with the remaining 25 percent invested by the promoters and general public. The project finance (term loan) commitments from the banks include Laxmi Bank (Rs 1.24 billion), Kumari Bank (Rs 1 billion), Century Commercial Bank (Rs 750 million), Prabhu Bank (Rs 400 million) and Hydroelectricity Investment &amp; Development Co (Rs 800 million).</p>

<p>Swet Ganga Hydropower expects to contribute around 170.84 GWh of power annually to the nation and will be one of the large sized independent power producers (IPP) when it comes into operation in December 2021.</p>

Funded by the European Union, the project &ldquo;Project REAL- Right to Earn A Living&rdquo; was awarded under the &lsquo;EIDHR-Country Based Support Scheme to Nepal for 2016 and 2017&rsquo; by the&nbsp;<strong>European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights,</strong> to support&nbsp;<strong>projects in the area of human rights, fundamental freedoms</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>democracy in non-EU countries.</strong><strong> Issuing a joint press statement, the EU and ICCO said that t</strong>he total budget of the project is euros 408,000 for 42 months starting from February 26, 2018.</p>

<p>Jointly envisioned by ICCO Cooperation, Yes Nepal (YN) and Sahakarmi Samaj (SS), Project REAL recognizes that inclusion of marginalized groups including persons with disabilities by integrating them into the community and promoting them as champions of change in socio-economic development is the only way towards reducing inequalities and achieving inclusive economic growth.</p>

<p>According to the statement, the project will closely engage with the primary beneficiaries - Chidimar, Kushbadia, Maganta, Badi, Tharu Kumals and Kamlaris communities - in Kailali, Banke and Dang districts to help them exercise their economic rights in a socially just environment. To address major issues and socio-economic challenges faced by target marginalized communities, Project REAL will adopt a dual approach inspired by ICCO-cooperation&rsquo;s twincore principles, namely &lsquo;securing sustainable livelihoods&rsquo; and &lsquo;justice and&nbsp;dignity for all<strong>&rsquo;</strong>.</p>

<p>While providing the targeted beneficiaries with diversified livelihoods skills, improved access to finance and productive assets like land and forest for income generation and sustainable livelihoods, Project REAL will also work to strengthen local governance to ensure that the existing provisions on socio-economic rights of marginalized communities are put into practice.</p>

<p>In this regard, the project will leverage support from Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and CBO networks earlier institutionalized/strengthened by ICCO and SS/YN&rsquo;s previous programs, which are actively involved in asserting and advocating for the socio-economic rights of the marginalized groups.</p>

<p>The project will stimulate community-led development processes by implementing innovative, need-based and community driven economic activities and by equipping marginalized communities with the skill and knowledge to uplift their livelihoods themselves. Sustainable socio-economic changes initiated by the communities will be facilitated through mobilization of local resources, development of local leadership and promotion of self-led community development process.</p>

<p>Ambassador Veronica Cody, head of the EU delegation to Nepal, officially launched the project.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The launching event held in Lalitpur brought together beneficiaries, civil society members, government and partner agencies working continuously for the respect, protection and fulfillment of marginalized communities&rsquo; rights, including the right to earn a decent living.</p>

<p>According to a statement issued by the company, Yamaha scooters have been chosen as the best by consumers for their style and comfort. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Recently we conducted a research on scooters&#39; brand preference among Nepali riders prioritizing the features like style, comfort, mileage and pickup,&rdquo; the statement quoted Miresh Adhikari, director of Media Reach, as saying.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Yamaha scooters were found to be the most preferred while it comes to style and comfort,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>&nbsp;He also underlined that the attitude towards scooters has changed. &ldquo;Scooters are now no more female ride. They are equally accepted by male riders too,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, managing director of MAW Enterprises Pvt Ltd, thanked the customers for giving this honor to Yamaha.</p>

<p>&ldquo;This is a great achievement for us. We are grateful towards the customers for their continued trust, love and support towards Yamaha,&rdquo; Agarwal said, adding, &ldquo;We have always kept customers at the heart of our business. <p>Although Yamaha two-wheelers were available in Nepal since 1975, the company started selling scooters just six years ago.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In this very short period, Yamaha scooters earned popularity among Nepali riders. Yamaha&rsquo;s innovation in design and technology has contributed significantly to the modern era of motorcycling in the world,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>Four models of Yamaha scooters namely Fascino, Ray Z, Ray ZR and Alfa are available in Nepal at present. The company claimed that these scooters are built to address the demand of riders of different age and profession. Yamaha scooters are fitted with patented Blue Core technology which not only enhances the performance but also improves the mileage.</p>

<p>Among the 35 projects, the works related to 12 projects is near to completion. Similarly, the works of 18 projects are underway and five projects have just started.</p>

<p>Mukhtor Khamudkhanov, country director of ADB Nepal, said that ADB will collaborate with local levels to complete the projects on time.</p>

<p>&ldquo;All our projects are based on local levels, so we are planning to collaborate with the local levels,&rdquo; says Khammudhkanov.</p>

<p>Out of the total investment, 31 percent (Rs 76.10 million) has been allocated for urban development and drinking water. In the energy sector, ADB has allocated more than Rs 60 billion, which is equal to 25 percent of the investment. Similarly, 19 per cent of the investment that is Rs 45.30 billion has been allocated for transportation sector. Nine percent (Rs 23 billion) has been allocated in agriculture and natural resources. In the education sector, ADB has allocated Rs 14.1 billion and in the reconstruction Rs 20.30 billion. Apart from this, Rs 5 billion has been invested in other areas.</p>

<p>According to the investment review meeting of ADB, it is challenging for ADB to complete the projects on time due to unstable systems and lack of clarity at the policy-making level in Nepal. ADB has been facing lots of challenges in the project of Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha Airport.</p>

<p>The government says that it has been working with the donors to complete the projects on time. In the investment review meeting, Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that government will help the ADB to utilise its time and investment properly by completing the projects on time.</p>

<p>According to the statement, Swet Ganga Hydropower signed the Power Purchase Agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority on December 29, 2016 and the project received Generation License from the Ministry of Energy on April 10, 2016. The company is promoted by Sanima Group and Dolma Impact Fund.</p>

<p>The banks said they have committed to financing 75 percent of the project cost of Rs 4.19 billion with the remaining 25 percent invested by the promoters and general public. The project finance (term loan) commitments from the banks include Laxmi Bank (Rs 1.24 billion), Kumari Bank (Rs 1 billion), Century Commercial Bank (Rs 750 million), Prabhu Bank (Rs 400 million) and Hydroelectricity Investment &amp; Development Co (Rs 800 million).</p>

<p>Swet Ganga Hydropower expects to contribute around 170.84 GWh of power annually to the nation and will be one of the large sized independent power producers (IPP) when it comes into operation in December 2021.</p>

<p>Jointly envisioned by ICCO Cooperation, Yes Nepal (YN) and Sahakarmi Samaj (SS), Project REAL recognizes that inclusion of marginalized groups including persons with disabilities by integrating them into the community and promoting them as champions of change in socio-economic development is the only way towards reducing inequalities and achieving inclusive economic growth.</p>

<p>According to the statement, the project will closely engage with the primary beneficiaries - Chidimar, Kushbadia, Maganta, Badi, Tharu Kumals and Kamlaris communities - in Kailali, Banke and Dang districts to help them exercise their economic rights in a socially just environment. To address major issues and socio-economic challenges faced by target marginalized communities, Project REAL will adopt a dual approach inspired by ICCO-cooperation&rsquo;s twincore principles, namely &lsquo;securing sustainable livelihoods&rsquo; and &lsquo;justice and&nbsp;dignity for all<strong>&rsquo;</strong>.</p>

<p>While providing the targeted beneficiaries with diversified livelihoods skills, improved access to finance and productive assets like land and forest for income generation and sustainable livelihoods, Project REAL will also work to strengthen local governance to ensure that the existing provisions on socio-economic rights of marginalized communities are put into practice.</p>

<p>In this regard, the project will leverage support from Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and CBO networks earlier institutionalized/strengthened by ICCO and SS/YN&rsquo;s previous programs, which are actively involved in asserting and advocating for the socio-economic rights of the marginalized groups.</p>

<p>The project will stimulate community-led development processes by implementing innovative, need-based and community driven economic activities and by equipping marginalized communities with the skill and knowledge to uplift their livelihoods themselves. Sustainable socio-economic changes initiated by the communities will be facilitated through mobilization of local resources, development of local leadership and promotion of self-led community development process.</p>

<p>Among the 35 projects, the works related to 12 projects is near to completion. Similarly, the works of 18 projects are underway and five projects have just started.</p>

<p>Mukhtor Khamudkhanov, country director of ADB Nepal, said that ADB will collaborate with local levels to complete the projects on time.</p>

<p>&ldquo;All our projects are based on local levels, so we are planning to collaborate with the local levels,&rdquo; says Khammudhkanov.</p>

<p>Out of the total investment, 31 percent (Rs 76.10 million) has been allocated for urban development and drinking water. In the energy sector, ADB has allocated more than Rs 60 billion, which is equal to 25 percent of the investment. Similarly, 19 per cent of the investment that is Rs 45.30 billion has been allocated for transportation sector. Nine percent (Rs 23 billion) has been allocated in agriculture and natural resources. In the education sector, ADB has allocated Rs 14.1 billion and in the reconstruction Rs 20.30 billion. Apart from this, Rs 5 billion has been invested in other areas.</p>

<p>According to the investment review meeting of ADB, it is challenging for ADB to complete the projects on time due to unstable systems and lack of clarity at the policy-making level in Nepal. ADB has been facing lots of challenges in the project of Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha Airport.</p>

<p>The government says that it has been working with the donors to complete the projects on time. In the investment review meeting, Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that government will help the ADB to utilise its time and investment properly by completing the projects on time.</p>

A joint statement issued by the BFIs states that the project is being built at a cost of around Rs 5.59 billion.</p>

<p>According to the statement, Swet Ganga Hydropower signed the Power Purchase Agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority on December 29, 2016 and the project received Generation License from the Ministry of Energy on April 10, 2016. The company is promoted by Sanima Group and Dolma Impact Fund.</p>

<p>The banks said they have committed to financing 75 percent of the project cost of Rs 4.19 billion with the remaining 25 percent invested by the promoters and general public. The project finance (term loan) commitments from the banks include Laxmi Bank (Rs 1.24 billion), Kumari Bank (Rs 1 billion), Century Commercial Bank (Rs 750 million), Prabhu Bank (Rs 400 million) and Hydroelectricity Investment &amp; Development Co (Rs 800 million).</p>

<p>Swet Ganga Hydropower expects to contribute around 170.84 GWh of power annually to the nation and will be one of the large sized independent power producers (IPP) when it comes into operation in December 2021.</p>

Funded by the European Union, the project &ldquo;Project REAL- Right to Earn A Living&rdquo; was awarded under the &lsquo;EIDHR-Country Based Support Scheme to Nepal for 2016 and 2017&rsquo; by the&nbsp;<strong>European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights,</strong> to support&nbsp;<strong>projects in the area of human rights, fundamental freedoms</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>democracy in non-EU countries.</strong><strong> Issuing a joint press statement, the EU and ICCO said that t</strong>he total budget of the project is euros 408,000 for 42 months starting from February 26, 2018.</p>

<p>Jointly envisioned by ICCO Cooperation, Yes Nepal (YN) and Sahakarmi Samaj (SS), Project REAL recognizes that inclusion of marginalized groups including persons with disabilities by integrating them into the community and promoting them as champions of change in socio-economic development is the only way towards reducing inequalities and achieving inclusive economic growth.</p>

<p>According to the statement, the project will closely engage with the primary beneficiaries - Chidimar, Kushbadia, Maganta, Badi, Tharu Kumals and Kamlaris communities - in Kailali, Banke and Dang districts to help them exercise their economic rights in a socially just environment. To address major issues and socio-economic challenges faced by target marginalized communities, Project REAL will adopt a dual approach inspired by ICCO-cooperation&rsquo;s twincore principles, namely &lsquo;securing sustainable livelihoods&rsquo; and &lsquo;justice and&nbsp;dignity for all<strong>&rsquo;</strong>.</p>

<p>While providing the targeted beneficiaries with diversified livelihoods skills, improved access to finance and productive assets like land and forest for income generation and sustainable livelihoods, Project REAL will also work to strengthen local governance to ensure that the existing provisions on socio-economic rights of marginalized communities are put into practice.</p>

<p>In this regard, the project will leverage support from Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and CBO networks earlier institutionalized/strengthened by ICCO and SS/YN&rsquo;s previous programs, which are actively involved in asserting and advocating for the socio-economic rights of the marginalized groups.</p>

<p>The project will stimulate community-led development processes by implementing innovative, need-based and community driven economic activities and by equipping marginalized communities with the skill and knowledge to uplift their livelihoods themselves. Sustainable socio-economic changes initiated by the communities will be facilitated through mobilization of local resources, development of local leadership and promotion of self-led community development process.</p>

<p>Ambassador Veronica Cody, head of the EU delegation to Nepal, officially launched the project.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The launching event held in Lalitpur brought together beneficiaries, civil society members, government and partner agencies working continuously for the respect, protection and fulfillment of marginalized communities&rsquo; rights, including the right to earn a decent living.</p>

<p>Mircowave Oven Cooking Class was held at Manakamana Electronics House (Samsung Plaza of Nepalgunj) on February 22 and Dinesh Trading House (Samsung Plaza of Dhangadhi) on February 24.</p>

<p>The cooking classes were basically organized to educate people on how to use the different Samsung microwave ovens to cook a range of delicious meals. The classes were conducted by representatives of Samsung Digital Plaza.</p>

<p>During the Microwave Oven Cooking Class, the participants were trained to cook pulaw, mutter-paneer, grilled chicken, pizza, cake and so forth. The major highlight of the session was the demonstration of Samsung Slim Fry Microwave Oven, Convection Microwave Oven and Grill and Solo Microwave ovens that cook food with 80 percent less fat. The trainers demonstrated the preparation of French fries, without using oil on the Samsung Slim Fry Microwave Oven, Convection Microwave Oven and Grill and Solo Microwave Oven. They also learnt the ways to cook in microwave and other safety tips.</p>

			'content' => '<p>February 26: Asian Development Bank (ADB) has invested Rs 204 billion in Nepal. The investment has been made in 35 areas including agriculture, infrastructure, energy, transportation, education, urban development and reconstruction.</p>

<p>Among the 35 projects, the works related to 12 projects is near to completion. Similarly, the works of 18 projects are underway and five projects have just started.</p>

<p>Mukhtor Khamudkhanov, country director of ADB Nepal, said that ADB will collaborate with local levels to complete the projects on time.</p>

<p>&ldquo;All our projects are based on local levels, so we are planning to collaborate with the local levels,&rdquo; says Khammudhkanov.</p>

<p>Out of the total investment, 31 percent (Rs 76.10 million) has been allocated for urban development and drinking water. In the energy sector, ADB has allocated more than Rs 60 billion, which is equal to 25 percent of the investment. Similarly, 19 per cent of the investment that is Rs 45.30 billion has been allocated for transportation sector. Nine percent (Rs 23 billion) has been allocated in agriculture and natural resources. In the education sector, ADB has allocated Rs 14.1 billion and in the reconstruction Rs 20.30 billion. Apart from this, Rs 5 billion has been invested in other areas.</p>

<p>According to the investment review meeting of ADB, it is challenging for ADB to complete the projects on time due to unstable systems and lack of clarity at the policy-making level in Nepal. ADB has been facing lots of challenges in the project of Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha Airport.</p>

<p>The government says that it has been working with the donors to complete the projects on time. In the investment review meeting, Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that government will help the ADB to utilise its time and investment properly by completing the projects on time.</p>

A joint statement issued by the BFIs states that the project is being built at a cost of around Rs 5.59 billion.</p>

<p>According to the statement, Swet Ganga Hydropower signed the Power Purchase Agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority on December 29, 2016 and the project received Generation License from the Ministry of Energy on April 10, 2016. The company is promoted by Sanima Group and Dolma Impact Fund.</p>

<p>The banks said they have committed to financing 75 percent of the project cost of Rs 4.19 billion with the remaining 25 percent invested by the promoters and general public. The project finance (term loan) commitments from the banks include Laxmi Bank (Rs 1.24 billion), Kumari Bank (Rs 1 billion), Century Commercial Bank (Rs 750 million), Prabhu Bank (Rs 400 million) and Hydroelectricity Investment &amp; Development Co (Rs 800 million).</p>

<p>Swet Ganga Hydropower expects to contribute around 170.84 GWh of power annually to the nation and will be one of the large sized independent power producers (IPP) when it comes into operation in December 2021.</p>
