<p>According to the organizers, the event is first-of-its-kind platform created for the entrepreneurs of both countries to come together and exchange innovative ideas. During the event, seven CEOs, and investors from India and eight from Nepal addressed more than 300 audiences.</p>

<p>Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada said that the government is ready to work with startups to make them more innovative and effective.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The government is also working to build a better startup ecosystem in the country,&quot; added the chief guest.</p>

<p>The speakers from India were Ritesh Agarwal, founder and CEO of OYO Rooms; Ashutosh Tyagi, executive vice president of Tata Capital Private Equity; Navin Surya, chairman of Payments Council of India (PCI); Ritu Marya, editor-in-chief at Entrepreneur Media; Kaushik Mukherjee, co-founder and MD of FAB BAG;&nbsp; Avelo Roy, MD of Kolkata Ventures and&nbsp; Yatin K Thakur, co-founder of StartUp India &amp; Coworkin.</p>

<p>From Nepal, the speakers were Siddhant Raj Pandey, chairman and CEO of Business Oxygen; Narottam Aryal, executive director of King&rsquo;s College;&nbsp; Sushil Pokharel, CEO of Sushmit Group;&nbsp; Biswas Dhakal, president of F1Soft, FinTech;&nbsp; Subash Ghimire, editor of Republica; Semanta Dahal, advocate of Abhinawa Law Chambers;&nbsp; Sixit Bhatta, co-founder and CEO of Tootle, and&nbsp; Amit Agrawal, CEO of Janaki Technology.</p>

<p>Five startup firms also pitched their business ideas in front of the investors during the event. The firms to pith business idea were Metro Tarkari, Furniture Hub, Kullabs, My Earth Eco Bags and FohorbataMohor.&nbsp; The five startups were shortlisted out of more than 100 applications received for pitching proposals.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The journey to finding potential startups for the team was not just about getting the right companies but it was more about spreading entrepreneurial vibes among youngsters,&rdquo; said Binay Devkota, CEO of Clock B Business Innovations.</p>

<p>The experts speaking at the program said that Nepal has immense opportunities for the startups to grow, but the lack of intellectual property rights is a major setback for the startup community to grow in the market.</p>

<p>Minister Yadav focused on prioritizing and utilizing whatever is available and to use modern technologies for industrial development. &nbsp;He suggested skilled and educated youths not to hesitate to take up minor occupation. He claimed that &nbsp;the ministry is making plans for economic prosperity and encouraging private investment. &ldquo;We will not compromise in maintaining good governance,&rdquo; he claimed.</p>

<p>Prime Minister KP Oli said cottage and small-scale industries is&nbsp;one of the major sectors creating investment and employment opportunities. He ensured that no one will be dying of hunger in the coming days.</p>

<p>Yam Kumari Khatiwada, secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies highlighted the importance of promoting cottage and small-scale industries. &nbsp;She added that the government is aiming to establish product specific zones by bringing together scattered products and industries.</p>

<p>The expo features 292 stalls of various entrepreneurs from all 77 districts of the nation. The expo which displays national products including food, traditional as well as modern technologies, wood crafts, handicrafts, garments, regional as well as cultural products was observed by a large number of the visitors from the first day, informed the organisers.</p>

<p>The speakers from India were Ritesh Agarwal, founder and CEO of OYO Rooms; Ashutosh Tyagi, executive vice president of Tata Capital Private Equity; Navin Surya, chairman of Payments Council of India (PCI); Ritu Marya, editor-in-chief at Entrepreneur Media; Kaushik Mukherjee, co-founder and MD of FAB BAG;&nbsp; Avelo Roy, MD of Kolkata Ventures and&nbsp; Yatin K Thakur, co-founder of StartUp India &amp; Coworkin.</p>

<p>From Nepal, the speakers were Siddhant Raj Pandey, chairman and CEO of Business Oxygen; Narottam Aryal, executive director of King&rsquo;s College;&nbsp; Sushil Pokharel, CEO of Sushmit Group;&nbsp; Biswas Dhakal, president of F1Soft, FinTech;&nbsp; Subash Ghimire, editor of Republica; Semanta Dahal, advocate of Abhinawa Law Chambers;&nbsp; Sixit Bhatta, co-founder and CEO of Tootle, and&nbsp; Amit Agrawal, CEO of Janaki Technology.</p>

<p>Five startup firms also pitched their business ideas in front of the investors during the event. The firms to pith business idea were Metro Tarkari, Furniture Hub, Kullabs, My Earth Eco Bags and FohorbataMohor.&nbsp; The five startups were shortlisted out of more than 100 applications received for pitching proposals.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The journey to finding potential startups for the team was not just about getting the right companies but it was more about spreading entrepreneurial vibes among youngsters,&rdquo; said Binay Devkota, CEO of Clock B Business Innovations.</p>

<p>The experts speaking at the program said that Nepal has immense opportunities for the startups to grow, but the lack of intellectual property rights is a major setback for the startup community to grow in the market.</p>

<p>Seven CEOs/investors from India and eight from Nepal will address the audience that would comprise young entrepreneurs from both the countries.&nbsp; The speakers from India include Ritesh Agarwal, founder and CEO of OYO Rooms; Ashutosh Tyagi, executive vice president of&nbsp; Tata Caital Private Equity; Navin Surya, chairman of Payments Council of India (PCI); Ritu Marya, editor-in-chief at Entrepreneur Media; &nbsp;Kaushik Mukherjee, co-founder and MD of FAB BAG;&nbsp; Avelo Roy, MD of Kolkata Ventures and &nbsp;Yatin K Thakur, co-founder of StartUp India &amp; Coworkin.</p>

<p>From Nepal, the speakers would be Siddhant Raj Pandey, chairman and CEO of Business Oxygen; Narottam Aryal, executive director of King&rsquo;s College;&nbsp; Sushil Pokharel, CEO of Sushmit Group; &nbsp;Biswas Dhakal, president of F1Soft, FinTech; &nbsp;Subash Ghimire, editor of Republica; Semanta Dahal, advocate of Abhinawa Law Chambers; &nbsp;Sixit Bhatta, co-founde/CEO of Tootle, and&nbsp; Amit Agrawal, CEO of Janaki Technology.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Through seven entrepreneurial meet-ups, seven-day city tour, 10 college level activities, four days of mentorships and workshops and massive social media campaigns, Embassy of India and Clock b managed to reach out to more than 500,000 entrepreneurial minds of Nepal,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>In all, more than 600 entrepreneurs registered for the event out of which 300 have been screened for attending the conclave, according to the organisers. More than 30 start-ups showed interest in pitching for investment, 19 were screened for auditions and five start-ups have been shortlisted for pitching at the finale.&nbsp; These firms are: Metro Tarkari, Furniture Hub, Kullabs, My Earth Eco Bags and Fohor bata Mofor.</p>

<p>The experts speaking at the program said that Nepal has immense opportunities for the startups to grow, but the lack of intellectual property rights is a major setback for the startup community to grow in the market.</p>

<p>Yam Kumari Khatiwada, secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies highlighted the importance of promoting cottage and small-scale industries. &nbsp;She added that the government is aiming to establish product specific zones by bringing together scattered products and industries.</p>

<p>The expo features 292 stalls of various entrepreneurs from all 77 districts of the nation. <p>The forum event gave partners a glimpse into Samsung Nepal&rsquo;s plans going forward and also showcased the company&rsquo;s latest product lineup.</p>

<p>While day one of the event was dedicated to partners, the Samsung leadership met media spanning from print to digital on the second day. The team engaged with B2B partners on the last day.</p>

<p>Samsung Electronics said its vision is to contribute to communities around the world through leading-edge technologies, as well as resources and talent.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Our approach to citizenship is rooted in this same philosophy, with the development and implementation of various initiatives designed to enrich people&rsquo;s lives in the areas of education and the environment, as well as accessibility,&rdquo; the company said in the statement.</p>

<p>Prime Minister KP Oli said cottage and small-scale industries is&nbsp;one of the major sectors creating investment and employment opportunities. He ensured that no one will be dying of hunger in the coming days.</p>

<p>Yam Kumari Khatiwada, secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies highlighted the importance of promoting cottage and small-scale industries. &nbsp;She added that the government is aiming to establish product specific zones by bringing together scattered products and industries.</p>

<p>The expo features 292 stalls of various entrepreneurs from all 77 districts of the nation. The expo which displays national products including food, traditional as well as modern technologies, wood crafts, handicrafts, garments, regional as well as cultural products was observed by a large number of the visitors from the first day, informed the organisers.</p>

			'content' => '<p>March 21: Goldstar Shoes has opened its new authorized showroom at New Baneshwar, Kathmandu&nbsp;on Wednesday. The showroom has more than 40 varieties of shoes at a price range in between Rs 350 to Rs 1750.</p>

<p>This showroom is the seventh authorized showroom of Goldstar in Kathmandu. The showroom is offering flat discount of 10 percent on all of its shoe items for the customers for a week.</p>

<p>Operator of the showroom, Prakash Khadka, informed that the shoes are available at the shop at retail price. &ldquo;We are offering shoes at much cheaper price than the market,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to Ganesh Karki, sales manager at Goldstar, the company has plans to open 50 authorised showrooms all over the country within a year.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We will be opening 20 showrooms across the country by Baishakh. Construction for the showrooms are currently underway,&rdquo; said Karki.</p>
