Over the last four days, the index has dropped by 21.85 points. The decline that started from Monday is becoming wider per day which also indicates that there is further possibility of downfall.</p>

<p>Previously, SEBON had cautioned investors while investing in the capital market. However, Aatma Ram Ghimire, Chairman of Nepal Investors&rsquo; Forum (NIF) sees no further corrections or higher rate of decline in the stock market in the present context. &ldquo;There is still excess liquidity in the banking system. Until the interest rates are in lower levels, it is unlikely that the capital market will come down.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Commercial banks are still providing margin lending at a rate of 6 percent, whereas development banks are charging 10 percent. The interest rates offered by commercial banks for deposits are still as low as 4 percent. Similarly, most of the large banks have lowered their interest rate as low as 1 percent in savings account. Availability of cheap money is attributed to the rise in stock investments, analysts say. &nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Psychological impact</strong><br />
Share investor Purushottam Khatiwada views that steps taken by SEBON over the last few months to improve capital market has boosted confidence of investors. NIF Chairman Ghimire also agrees with Khatiwada. &ldquo;Morale of investors is high due to the corrective measures taken by SEBON, in a bid to encourage good governance, transparency and social justice in capital market,&rdquo; he says.</p>

<p>As the effect of Tarai unrest and border blockade has gradually faded over the past few months, the government&rsquo;s prioritisation of economic issues in foreign policy has also boosted investors&rsquo; confidence, according to analysts.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px"><strong>Share liquidity and increased velocity&nbsp;</strong></span><br />
Demat trading of shares have specifically contributed in excess liquidity in the securities market. &ldquo;Compareed to the materialize share transaction, Demat trading has increased the velocity of trading by 10 times. &nbsp;Previously, ownership transfer of shares used to take three months. With the new trading system in place, the clearance time has reduced to five days which has resulted in investors activities to secure short term profit and &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers.&rdquo; &nbsp;</p>

<p>In the past, such &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers were carried out through Blank Transfer (BT), but it also used to take three months to get ownership of such shares. On the other side, issuance of new shares and stock dividend distributed by the companies has also contributed the excess share liquidity in the market, as per the investors.</p>

<p>As investors can now settle their Demat transaction from outside Kathmandu valley, capital market has further widen with the entry of new investors, experts says. &ldquo;It will improve the demand side of share market and support participation,&rdquo; says investor and analyst Purushottam Chamouriya. &ldquo;It has reduced the possibility of NEPSE index declining in huge margin,&rdquo; he adds.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, NEPSE index declined by 7.5 points (0.55 percent) to settle at 1355.48 points on Thursday, the last day of trading for the week ending on March 31. Trading of 127 companies were carried out in 3,113 transactions with1.07 million units of shares changed hands worth Rs 637.85 million.</p>

The number of financial institution in NCHL-IPS system has reached 49 with the joining of NIDC.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Transactions can be carried out on maximum numbers with transparently through the NCHL-IPS system,&rdquo; says NHCL CEO Pradhan, adding, &ldquo;The associated risks are less with the system, while the customers also get various facilities.&quot; &nbsp;NCHL has been clearing the cheques issued from 2678 branches of 124 member banks and financial institutions in NCHL-IPS system. &quot;We will start NCHL-IPS in all member banks soon,&quot; informs Pradhan.</p>

<p>Addressing a seminar on network management for financial inclusiveness, organised by Nepal Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperative Unions Ltd (NEFSCUN) today, PM Oli said that since the cooperatives alone can help raise the financial status of such communities with self-confidence, the cooperatives sector should be expanded.</p>

<p>He said that as the government has prioritised the cooperatives sector, portfolio has been given to a Deputy Prime Minister and not to an assistant minister or a state minister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>PM Oli underlined that the government has adopted the three-pillar economic policy comprising the private, public and the cooperatives sector for raising the economic status of the impoverished communities and for the economic progress of the country.</p>

<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation, Chitra Bahadur KC said that a new Cooperatives Act is being brought to make the cooperatives more systematic and dignified. He assured that the new Act would not be draconian but it attempts to regulate the sector.<br />

<p>The flight was conducted under the inspection of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) inspectors as per the CAAN Air Operator Certificate requirements. International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) inspectors also observed the proving flight. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&quot;With the proving flight successfully conducted, we will commence commercial operations soon,&rdquo; says Vijay Shrestha, Vice-President, Administrations of Himalaya Airlines.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The airline has scheduled its first destinations at Delhi and Doha in April 2016 followed by Lhasa, Chengdu and Beijing in China a few months later. &nbsp;The airline had welcomed its first new aircraft Airbus 320-214, on March 9. This aircraft carried the Prime Minister KP Oli during his official visit to China. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Over the coming five years, the airline aims to acquire 15 Airbus 320 family aircrafts and targets to operate from Kathmandu to various cities in Asia and beyond. &ldquo;The company will introduce long haul wide body aircraft of A330 family in due course of time for the operation of direct flights to Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, and America,&rdquo; informs the statement. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Member of the Town Development Committee Devraj Mishra said that the investigation committee was formed as per the decision of an all-party meeting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier too, a probe committee was formed under the leadership of Ministry&#39;s Engineer Nabin Devkota last year. The committee had submitted a report with recommendations to the Ministry four months ago. The report was also in the loop of Commissioner for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.&nbsp;</p>

Over the last four days, the index has dropped by 21.85 points. The decline that started from Monday is becoming wider per day which also indicates that there is further possibility of downfall.</p>

<p>Previously, SEBON had cautioned investors while investing in the capital market. However, Aatma Ram Ghimire, Chairman of Nepal Investors&rsquo; Forum (NIF) sees no further corrections or higher rate of decline in the stock market in the present context. &ldquo;There is still excess liquidity in the banking system. Until the interest rates are in lower levels, it is unlikely that the capital market will come down.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Commercial banks are still providing margin lending at a rate of 6 percent, whereas development banks are charging 10 percent. The interest rates offered by commercial banks for deposits are still as low as 4 percent. Similarly, most of the large banks have lowered their interest rate as low as 1 percent in savings account. Availability of cheap money is attributed to the rise in stock investments, analysts say. &nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Psychological impact</strong><br />
Share investor Purushottam Khatiwada views that steps taken by SEBON over the last few months to improve capital market has boosted confidence of investors. NIF Chairman Ghimire also agrees with Khatiwada. &ldquo;Morale of investors is high due to the corrective measures taken by SEBON, in a bid to encourage good governance, transparency and social justice in capital market,&rdquo; he says.</p>

<p>As the effect of Tarai unrest and border blockade has gradually faded over the past few months, the government&rsquo;s prioritisation of economic issues in foreign policy has also boosted investors&rsquo; confidence, according to analysts.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px"><strong>Share liquidity and increased velocity&nbsp;</strong></span><br />
Demat trading of shares have specifically contributed in excess liquidity in the securities market. &ldquo;Compareed to the materialize share transaction, Demat trading has increased the velocity of trading by 10 times. &nbsp;Previously, ownership transfer of shares used to take three months. With the new trading system in place, the clearance time has reduced to five days which has resulted in investors activities to secure short term profit and &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers.&rdquo; &nbsp;</p>

<p>In the past, such &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers were carried out through Blank Transfer (BT), but it also used to take three months to get ownership of such shares. On the other side, issuance of new shares and stock dividend distributed by the companies has also contributed the excess share liquidity in the market, as per the investors.</p>

<p>As investors can now settle their Demat transaction from outside Kathmandu valley, capital market has further widen with the entry of new investors, experts says. &ldquo;It will improve the demand side of share market and support participation,&rdquo; says investor and analyst Purushottam Chamouriya. &ldquo;It has reduced the possibility of NEPSE index declining in huge margin,&rdquo; he adds.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, NEPSE index declined by 7.5 points (0.55 percent) to settle at 1355.48 points on Thursday, the last day of trading for the week ending on March 31. Trading of 127 companies were carried out in 3,113 transactions with1.07 million units of shares changed hands worth Rs 637.85 million.</p>

The number of financial institution in NCHL-IPS system has reached 49 with the joining of NIDC.</p>

<p>Addressing a seminar on network management for financial inclusiveness, organised by Nepal Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperative Unions Ltd (NEFSCUN) today, PM Oli said that since the cooperatives alone can help raise the financial status of such communities with self-confidence, the cooperatives sector should be expanded.</p>

<p>He said that as the government has prioritised the cooperatives sector, portfolio has been given to a Deputy Prime Minister and not to an assistant minister or a state minister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>PM Oli underlined that the government has adopted the three-pillar economic policy comprising the private, public and the cooperatives sector for raising the economic status of the impoverished communities and for the economic progress of the country.</p>

<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation, Chitra Bahadur KC said that a new Cooperatives Act is being brought to make the cooperatives more systematic and dignified. He assured that the new Act would not be draconian but it attempts to regulate the sector.<br />

This aircraft carried the Prime Minister KP Oli during his official visit to China. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Over the coming five years, the airline aims to acquire 15 Airbus 320 family aircrafts and targets to operate from Kathmandu to various cities in Asia and beyond. &ldquo;The company will introduce long haul wide body aircraft of A330 family in due course of time for the operation of direct flights to Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, and America,&rdquo; informs the statement. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Over the last four days, the index has dropped by 21.85 points. The decline that started from Monday is becoming wider per day which also indicates that there is further possibility of downfall.</p>

<p>Previously, SEBON had cautioned investors while investing in the capital market. However, Aatma Ram Ghimire, Chairman of Nepal Investors&rsquo; Forum (NIF) sees no further corrections or higher rate of decline in the stock market in the present context. &ldquo;There is still excess liquidity in the banking system. Until the interest rates are in lower levels, it is unlikely that the capital market will come down.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Commercial banks are still providing margin lending at a rate of 6 percent, whereas development banks are charging 10 percent. The interest rates offered by commercial banks for deposits are still as low as 4 percent. Similarly, most of the large banks have lowered their interest rate as low as 1 percent in savings account. Availability of cheap money is attributed to the rise in stock investments, analysts say. &nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Psychological impact</strong><br />
Share investor Purushottam Khatiwada views that steps taken by SEBON over the last few months to improve capital market has boosted confidence of investors. NIF Chairman Ghimire also agrees with Khatiwada. &ldquo;Morale of investors is high due to the corrective measures taken by SEBON, in a bid to encourage good governance, transparency and social justice in capital market,&rdquo; he says.</p>

<p>As the effect of Tarai unrest and border blockade has gradually faded over the past few months, the government&rsquo;s prioritisation of economic issues in foreign policy has also boosted investors&rsquo; confidence, according to analysts.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px"><strong>Share liquidity and increased velocity&nbsp;</strong></span><br />
Demat trading of shares have specifically contributed in excess liquidity in the securities market. &ldquo;Compareed to the materialize share transaction, Demat trading has increased the velocity of trading by 10 times. &nbsp;Previously, ownership transfer of shares used to take three months. With the new trading system in place, the clearance time has reduced to five days which has resulted in investors activities to secure short term profit and &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers.&rdquo; &nbsp;</p>

<p>In the past, such &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers were carried out through Blank Transfer (BT), but it also used to take three months to get ownership of such shares. On the other side, issuance of new shares and stock dividend distributed by the companies has also contributed the excess share liquidity in the market, as per the investors.</p>

<p>As investors can now settle their Demat transaction from outside Kathmandu valley, capital market has further widen with the entry of new investors, experts says. &ldquo;It will improve the demand side of share market and support participation,&rdquo; says investor and analyst Purushottam Chamouriya. &ldquo;It has reduced the possibility of NEPSE index declining in huge margin,&rdquo; he adds.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, NEPSE index declined by 7.5 points (0.55 percent) to settle at 1355.48 points on Thursday, the last day of trading for the week ending on March 31. Trading of 127 companies were carried out in 3,113 transactions with1.07 million units of shares changed hands worth Rs 637.85 million.</p>

<p>&nbsp;45 banks and financial institution along with three remittance companies are in NCHL-IPS system at present. Customers of the NCHL-IPS member banks and other financial institutions can receive and make payments among them, which includes the payments of dividends, IPO refund, bill, pension, remittance, premium and social security allowances. The number of financial institution in NCHL-IPS system has reached 49 with the joining of NIDC.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Transactions can be carried out on maximum numbers with transparently through the NCHL-IPS system,&rdquo; says NHCL CEO Pradhan, adding, &ldquo;The associated risks are less with the system, while the customers also get various facilities.&quot; &nbsp;NCHL has been clearing the cheques issued from 2678 branches of 124 member banks and financial institutions in NCHL-IPS system. &quot;We will start NCHL-IPS in all member banks soon,&quot; informs Pradhan.</p>

<p>Addressing a seminar on network management for financial inclusiveness, organised by Nepal Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperative Unions Ltd (NEFSCUN) today, PM Oli said that since the cooperatives alone can help raise the financial status of such communities with self-confidence, the cooperatives sector should be expanded.</p>

<p>He said that as the government has prioritised the cooperatives sector, portfolio has been given to a Deputy Prime Minister and not to an assistant minister or a state minister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>PM Oli underlined that the government has adopted the three-pillar economic policy comprising the private, public and the cooperatives sector for raising the economic status of the impoverished communities and for the economic progress of the country.</p>

<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation, Chitra Bahadur KC said that a new Cooperatives Act is being brought to make the cooperatives more systematic and dignified. He assured that the new Act would not be draconian but it attempts to regulate the sector.<br />

This aircraft carried the Prime Minister KP Oli during his official visit to China. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier too, a probe committee was formed under the leadership of Ministry&#39;s Engineer Nabin Devkota last year. The committee had submitted a report with recommendations to the Ministry four months ago. The report was also in the loop of Commissioner for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Previously, SEBON had cautioned investors while investing in the capital market. However, Aatma Ram Ghimire, Chairman of Nepal Investors&rsquo; Forum (NIF) sees no further corrections or higher rate of decline in the stock market in the present context. &ldquo;There is still excess liquidity in the banking system. Until the interest rates are in lower levels, it is unlikely that the capital market will come down.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Commercial banks are still providing margin lending at a rate of 6 percent, whereas development banks are charging 10 percent. The interest rates offered by commercial banks for deposits are still as low as 4 percent. Similarly, most of the large banks have lowered their interest rate as low as 1 percent in savings account. Availability of cheap money is attributed to the rise in stock investments, analysts say. &nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Psychological impact</strong><br />
Share investor Purushottam Khatiwada views that steps taken by SEBON over the last few months to improve capital market has boosted confidence of investors. NIF Chairman Ghimire also agrees with Khatiwada. &ldquo;Morale of investors is high due to the corrective measures taken by SEBON, in a bid to encourage good governance, transparency and social justice in capital market,&rdquo; he says.</p>

<p>As the effect of Tarai unrest and border blockade has gradually faded over the past few months, the government&rsquo;s prioritisation of economic issues in foreign policy has also boosted investors&rsquo; confidence, according to analysts.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px"><strong>Share liquidity and increased velocity&nbsp;</strong></span><br />
Demat trading of shares have specifically contributed in excess liquidity in the securities market. &ldquo;Compareed to the materialize share transaction, Demat trading has increased the velocity of trading by 10 times. &nbsp;Previously, ownership transfer of shares used to take three months. With the new trading system in place, the clearance time has reduced to five days which has resulted in investors activities to secure short term profit and &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers.&rdquo; &nbsp;</p>

<p>In the past, such &lsquo;rapid&rsquo; turnovers were carried out through Blank Transfer (BT), but it also used to take three months to get ownership of such shares. On the other side, issuance of new shares and stock dividend distributed by the companies has also contributed the excess share liquidity in the market, as per the investors.</p>

<p>As investors can now settle their Demat transaction from outside Kathmandu valley, capital market has further widen with the entry of new investors, experts says. &ldquo;It will improve the demand side of share market and support participation,&rdquo; says investor and analyst Purushottam Chamouriya. &ldquo;It has reduced the possibility of NEPSE index declining in huge margin,&rdquo; he adds.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, NEPSE index declined by 7.5 points (0.55 percent) to settle at 1355.48 points on Thursday, the last day of trading for the week ending on March 31. Trading of 127 companies were carried out in 3,113 transactions with1.07 million units of shares changed hands worth Rs 637.85 million.</p>

<p>He said that as the government has prioritised the cooperatives sector, portfolio has been given to a Deputy Prime Minister and not to an assistant minister or a state minister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>PM Oli underlined that the government has adopted the three-pillar economic policy comprising the private, public and the cooperatives sector for raising the economic status of the impoverished communities and for the economic progress of the country.</p>

<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation, Chitra Bahadur KC said that a new Cooperatives Act is being brought to make the cooperatives more systematic and dignified. He assured that the new Act would not be draconian but it attempts to regulate the sector.<br />

			'content' => '<p>March 31: Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal-China joint venture airline, carried out a proving flight on Kathmandu-Delhi-Kathmandu sector with its first new Airbus 320-214 on March 30, to demonstrate its preparedness for commercial operations. &ldquo;The new aircraft, with the Nepalese registration number 9N-ALM, demonstrated its competence to operate commercial flights in all aspects of airline operation,&rdquo; according to a press statement by the airline.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The flight was conducted under the inspection of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) inspectors as per the CAAN Air Operator Certificate requirements. International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) inspectors also observed the proving flight. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&quot;With the proving flight successfully conducted, we will commence commercial operations soon,&rdquo; says Vijay Shrestha, Vice-President, Administrations of Himalaya Airlines.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The airline has scheduled its first destinations at Delhi and Doha in April 2016 followed by Lhasa, Chengdu and Beijing in China a few months later. &nbsp;The airline had welcomed its first new aircraft Airbus 320-214, on March 9. This aircraft carried the Prime Minister KP Oli during his official visit to China. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Over the coming five years, the airline aims to acquire 15 Airbus 320 family aircrafts and targets to operate from Kathmandu to various cities in Asia and beyond. &ldquo;The company will introduce long haul wide body aircraft of A330 family in due course of time for the operation of direct flights to Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, and America,&rdquo; informs the statement. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Ministry formed the committee headed by its senior Engineer Suraj Poudel to probe the land sold or leased by Mahendranagar Municipality after the decision of all-party meeting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The political parties had demanded the formation of a high-level probe committee when various physical structures including vegetable fresh house were being constructed in the land against the decision of Town Development Committee Board.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Member of the Town Development Committee Devraj Mishra said that the investigation committee was formed as per the decision of an all-party meeting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier too, a probe committee was formed under the leadership of Ministry&#39;s Engineer Nabin Devkota last year. The committee had submitted a report with recommendations to the Ministry four months ago. The report was also in the loop of Commissioner for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The construction works in the public land have been on hold for the past seven months after the lawmakers lodged complaint at the Ministry demanding probe into the land sold or leased overlooking the process for the same. RSS</p>
