<p style="text-align: justify;">Baikuntha Aryal , Joint Secretary at the International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Takuya Kamata, Country Manager, World Bank, Nepal signed the Financing Agreement today &nbsp;in the MoF office regarding the loan assistance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a press release issued by Ministry of Finance, the project has three components including Road and Bridge Development, the Institutional Strengthening and Project Implementation Support and the Resilience Enhancement. During the project period, 21 different activities will be carried out. The final outcomes of the project include all-season road access, reduced travel time and improved access to economic centre and social services in 31 beneficiary districts.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project will upgrade about 700 kilometres of existing dry-season roads and carry out periodic maintenance of about 2550 km selected strategic roads. The construction of 33 bridges on selected roads of the Strategic Roads Network and the replacement of three earthquake-affected bridges with permanent structures are also the major activities of the project.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, the project also consists of technical audit of the civil works and the maintenance of 355 bridges affected by the devastating earthquake last year. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport will be the executing agency and the Department of Roads will be responsible for implementation of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Government of Nepal has expressed its sincere appreciation to the World Bank for this assistance and for continued support in the socio-economic development of Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

The company issuing a press statement said that the new brand&nbsp;is establishing its market and has received immense acceptance in the Terai belt and other major cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara where soft launches have been made. Currently, the product is available in one and two litre bottles along with one litre pouch in the market. The Byanjan sunflower edible oil has been priced at Rs 190 a litre while the one litre mustard variant is available at Rs 200. &ldquo;The oil produced as per the international standards will be capable of competing against international brands,&rdquo; says the company.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The company claims that the packaging of the newly launched products is different from other oil brands as local producers have been using one layer poly films for edible oil packaging. &ldquo;Byanjan comes in laminated packs which comprises of poly as well as upper nylon layer, which means there is less chances of oxidation of oil. Moreover, this is the first time that a brand will be introducing sunflower oil in bottles,&rdquo; informs the company. &nbsp;According to the statement, the reason for this is to showcase the quality and the purity factors of the oil.</p>

<p>Nimbus is producing the new edible oil brand from its manufacturing facility in Birgunj. &nbsp;The company established the oil production facility with an investment of around Rs 550 million where nearly 100 staffs are currently being employed. The company aims to produce 100 tonnes soybean, 50 tonnes sunflower and 60 tonnes mustard oil on a daily basis. Established in 2004, Nimbus has become a leading Nepali agri-business company with the manufacturing and trading of products ranging from animal feeds and supplements, veterinary treatment items and a number of other agri inputs to poly woven fabrics, plastics and chemicals. NRB will be providing 0.8950 per cent interest rate on it. As per the set mechanism, such interest rate is 0.10 per cent less than the weighted average interbank prevailing in the market prior to two working days. The deposit will be returned with interest on January 1, said NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The &#39;A&#39;, &#39;B&#39; and &#39;C&#39; listed BFIs fulfilling the standard provided can participate the two-weekly deposit auction conducted through online.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the two-weekly deposit collection work procedure 2073, the BFIs can collect required amount of deposit on set interest rate. Similarly, the BFIs can auction the amount which is minimum of Rs 10 million or divisible of 10 million. Moreover, if the BFIs are short of the amount in their cash reserve which they auction on the day of issuance of the tool, such BFI will be kept in blacklist and barred from participation in future auctions.&nbsp;</p>

As the ratio is above 80 per cent, the market may face liquidity problem in the near future. The ratio was of 77.8 per cent during the last FY. As per the study, areas other than Kathmandu have above 80 per cent such ratio, among which, Birgunj topped the list with 164.48 per cent loan deposit ratio.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the review period, deposits of BFIs have increased by 20.2 per cent to Rs 1962.27 billion compare to 23 per cent growth in the last FY. Expansion of banking services providing easy and better accessibility to the general public and raise in remittance flow has caused the BFIs&#39; deposit to escalate during the review period. Meanwhile, the loan extensions of the BFIs have increased by 25.4 per cent amounting to Rs 1593.57 billion during the period. In the last FY, such loan extensions had increased by 23.7 per cent.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Kathmandu, being the capital of the country has the best accessibility to BFIs. During the period, a total of 3,721 branches of BFIs are under operation. Among them, Kathmandu has the most number of branches of 1,051. As per the study, Dhangadhi has the least number of BFIs&#39; branches with only 190 branches operating.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the total deposit, Kathmandu contributes 68.1 per cent of the total deposits. Similarly, outside the valley, Pokhara topped the list with 7.6 per cent deposits collection. Likewise, Dhangadhi, being the least financial accessible area contributes only 1.6 per cent in the total deposits.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, BFIs have extended the highest loan amount to Kathmandu. In the total amount of loan, Kathmandu utilises 52.6 per cent of BFIs loans. Outside the capital, the BFIs have extended the highest loans to Birgunj of 11.6 per cent and the least loans to Dhangadhi of 2.7 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Baikuntha Aryal , Joint Secretary at the International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Takuya Kamata, Country Manager, World Bank, Nepal signed the Financing Agreement today &nbsp;in the MoF office regarding the loan assistance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a press release issued by Ministry of Finance, the project has three components including Road and Bridge Development, the Institutional Strengthening and Project Implementation Support and the Resilience Enhancement. During the project period, 21 different activities will be carried out. The final outcomes of the project include all-season road access, reduced travel time and improved access to economic centre and social services in 31 beneficiary districts.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project will upgrade about 700 kilometres of existing dry-season roads and carry out periodic maintenance of about 2550 km selected strategic roads. The construction of 33 bridges on selected roads of the Strategic Roads Network and the replacement of three earthquake-affected bridges with permanent structures are also the major activities of the project.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, the project also consists of technical audit of the civil works and the maintenance of 355 bridges affected by the devastating earthquake last year. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport will be the executing agency and the Department of Roads will be responsible for implementation of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Government of Nepal has expressed its sincere appreciation to the World Bank for this assistance and for continued support in the socio-economic development of Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

Currently, the product is available in one and two litre bottles along with one litre pouch in the market. The Byanjan sunflower edible oil has been priced at Rs 190 a litre while the one litre mustard variant is available at Rs 200. &ldquo;The oil produced as per the international standards will be capable of competing against international brands,&rdquo; says the company.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The company claims that the packaging of the newly launched products is different from other oil brands as local producers have been using one layer poly films for edible oil packaging. &ldquo;Byanjan comes in laminated packs which comprises of poly as well as upper nylon layer, which means there is less chances of oxidation of oil. 			'content' => '<p style="text-align:justify">December 19: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued two-weekly deposit of Rs 3 billion. According to NRB, it auctioned the two-weekly deposit worth of Rs 3 billion in a bid to balance demand and supply of investable money (liquidity).</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The banks and financial institutions (BFIs) depositing their deposits to NRB will be getting a set interest rate. NRB will be providing 0.8950 per cent interest rate on it. As per the set mechanism, such interest rate is 0.10 per cent less than the weighted average interbank prevailing in the market prior to two working days. The deposit will be returned with interest on January 1, said NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The &#39;A&#39;, &#39;B&#39; and &#39;C&#39; listed BFIs fulfilling the standard provided can participate the two-weekly deposit auction conducted through online.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the two-weekly deposit collection work procedure 2073, the BFIs can collect required amount of deposit on set interest rate. Similarly, the BFIs can auction the amount which is minimum of Rs 10 million or divisible of 10 million. Moreover, if the BFIs are short of the amount in their cash reserve which they auction on the day of issuance of the tool, such BFI will be kept in blacklist and barred from participation in future auctions.&nbsp;</p>

As the ratio is above 80 per cent, the market may face liquidity problem in the near future. The ratio was of 77.8 per cent during the last FY. As per the study, areas other than Kathmandu have above 80 per cent such ratio, among which, Birgunj topped the list with 164.48 per cent loan deposit ratio.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the review period, deposits of BFIs have increased by 20.2 per cent to Rs 1962.27 billion compare to 23 per cent growth in the last FY. Expansion of banking services providing easy and better accessibility to the general public and raise in remittance flow has caused the BFIs&#39; deposit to escalate during the review period. Meanwhile, the loan extensions of the BFIs have increased by 25.4 per cent amounting to Rs 1593.57 billion during the period. In the last FY, such loan extensions had increased by 23.7 per cent.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Kathmandu, being the capital of the country has the best accessibility to BFIs. During the period, a total of 3,721 branches of BFIs are under operation. Among them, Kathmandu has the most number of branches of 1,051. As per the study, Dhangadhi has the least number of BFIs&#39; branches with only 190 branches operating.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the total deposit, Kathmandu contributes 68.1 per cent of the total deposits. Similarly, outside the valley, Pokhara topped the list with 7.6 per cent deposits collection. Likewise, Dhangadhi, being the least financial accessible area contributes only 1.6 per cent in the total deposits.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, BFIs have extended the highest loan amount to Kathmandu. In the total amount of loan, Kathmandu utilises 52.6 per cent of BFIs loans. Outside the capital, the BFIs have extended the highest loans to Birgunj of 11.6 per cent and the least loans to Dhangadhi of 2.7 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Baikuntha Aryal , Joint Secretary at the International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Takuya Kamata, Country Manager, World Bank, Nepal signed the Financing Agreement today &nbsp;in the MoF office regarding the loan assistance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a press release issued by Ministry of Finance, the project has three components including Road and Bridge Development, the Institutional Strengthening and Project Implementation Support and the Resilience Enhancement. During the project period, 21 different activities will be carried out. The final outcomes of the project include all-season road access, reduced travel time and improved access to economic centre and social services in 31 beneficiary districts.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project will upgrade about 700 kilometres of existing dry-season roads and carry out periodic maintenance of about 2550 km selected strategic roads. The construction of 33 bridges on selected roads of the Strategic Roads Network and the replacement of three earthquake-affected bridges with permanent structures are also the major activities of the project.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, the project also consists of technical audit of the civil works and the maintenance of 355 bridges affected by the devastating earthquake last year. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport will be the executing agency and the Department of Roads will be responsible for implementation of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Government of Nepal has expressed its sincere appreciation to the World Bank for this assistance and for continued support in the socio-economic development of Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

<p>The company claims that the packaging of the newly launched products is different from other oil brands as local producers have been using one layer poly films for edible oil packaging. &ldquo;Byanjan comes in laminated packs which comprises of poly as well as upper nylon layer, which means there is less chances of oxidation of oil. Moreover, this is the first time that a brand will be introducing sunflower oil in bottles,&rdquo; informs the company. &nbsp;According to the statement, the reason for this is to showcase the quality and the purity factors of the oil.</p>

<p>Nimbus is producing the new edible oil brand from its manufacturing facility in Birgunj. &nbsp;The company established the oil production facility with an investment of around Rs 550 million where nearly 100 staffs are currently being employed. The company aims to produce 100 tonnes soybean, 50 tonnes sunflower and 60 tonnes mustard oil on a daily basis. Established in 2004, Nimbus has become a leading Nepali agri-business company with the manufacturing and trading of products ranging from animal feeds and supplements, veterinary treatment items and a number of other agri inputs to poly woven fabrics, plastics and chemicals. NRB will be providing 0.8950 per cent interest rate on it. As per the set mechanism, such interest rate is 0.10 per cent less than the weighted average interbank prevailing in the market prior to two working days. The deposit will be returned with interest on January 1, said NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The &#39;A&#39;, &#39;B&#39; and &#39;C&#39; listed BFIs fulfilling the standard provided can participate the two-weekly deposit auction conducted through online.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the two-weekly deposit collection work procedure 2073, the BFIs can collect required amount of deposit on set interest rate. Similarly, the BFIs can auction the amount which is minimum of Rs 10 million or divisible of 10 million. Moreover, if the BFIs are short of the amount in their cash reserve which they auction on the day of issuance of the tool, such BFI will be kept in blacklist and barred from participation in future auctions.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the review period, deposits of BFIs have increased by 20.2 per cent to Rs 1962.27 billion compare to 23 per cent growth in the last FY. Expansion of banking services providing easy and better accessibility to the general public and raise in remittance flow has caused the BFIs&#39; deposit to escalate during the review period. Meanwhile, the loan extensions of the BFIs have increased by 25.4 per cent amounting to Rs 1593.57 billion during the period. In the last FY, such loan extensions had increased by 23.7 per cent.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Kathmandu, being the capital of the country has the best accessibility to BFIs. During the period, a total of 3,721 branches of BFIs are under operation. Among them, Kathmandu has the most number of branches of 1,051. As per the study, Dhangadhi has the least number of BFIs&#39; branches with only 190 branches operating.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the total deposit, Kathmandu contributes 68.1 per cent of the total deposits. Similarly, outside the valley, Pokhara topped the list with 7.6 per cent deposits collection. Likewise, Dhangadhi, being the least financial accessible area contributes only 1.6 per cent in the total deposits.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, BFIs have extended the highest loan amount to Kathmandu. In the total amount of loan, Kathmandu utilises 52.6 per cent of BFIs loans. Outside the capital, the BFIs have extended the highest loans to Birgunj of 11.6 per cent and the least loans to Dhangadhi of 2.7 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Baikuntha Aryal , Joint Secretary at the International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Takuya Kamata, Country Manager, World Bank, Nepal signed the Financing Agreement today &nbsp;in the MoF office regarding the loan assistance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a press release issued by Ministry of Finance, the project has three components including Road and Bridge Development, the Institutional Strengthening and Project Implementation Support and the Resilience Enhancement. During the project period, 21 different activities will be carried out. The final outcomes of the project include all-season road access, reduced travel time and improved access to economic centre and social services in 31 beneficiary districts.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The project will upgrade about 700 kilometres of existing dry-season roads and carry out periodic maintenance of about 2550 km selected strategic roads. The construction of 33 bridges on selected roads of the Strategic Roads Network and the replacement of three earthquake-affected bridges with permanent structures are also the major activities of the project.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, the project also consists of technical audit of the civil works and the maintenance of 355 bridges affected by the devastating earthquake last year. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport will be the executing agency and the Department of Roads will be responsible for implementation of the project.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Government of Nepal has expressed its sincere appreciation to the World Bank for this assistance and for continued support in the socio-economic development of Nepal, reads the statement.</p>

The deposit will be returned with interest on January 1, said NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The &#39;A&#39;, &#39;B&#39; and &#39;C&#39; listed BFIs fulfilling the standard provided can participate the two-weekly deposit auction conducted through online.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to the two-weekly deposit collection work procedure 2073, the BFIs can collect required amount of deposit on set interest rate. Similarly, the BFIs can auction the amount which is minimum of Rs 10 million or divisible of 10 million. Moreover, if the BFIs are short of the amount in their cash reserve which they auction on the day of issuance of the tool, such BFI will be kept in blacklist and barred from participation in future auctions.&nbsp;</p>

As the ratio is above 80 per cent, the market may face liquidity problem in the near future. The ratio was of 77.8 per cent during the last FY. As per the study, areas other than Kathmandu have above 80 per cent such ratio, among which, Birgunj topped the list with 164.48 per cent loan deposit ratio.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the review period, deposits of BFIs have increased by 20.2 per cent to Rs 1962.27 billion compare to 23 per cent growth in the last FY. Expansion of banking services providing easy and better accessibility to the general public and raise in remittance flow has caused the BFIs&#39; deposit to escalate during the review period. Meanwhile, the loan extensions of the BFIs have increased by 25.4 per cent amounting to Rs 1593.57 billion during the period. In the last FY, such loan extensions had increased by 23.7 per cent.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Kathmandu, being the capital of the country has the best accessibility to BFIs. During the period, a total of 3,721 branches of BFIs are under operation. Among them, Kathmandu has the most number of branches of 1,051. As per the study, Dhangadhi has the least number of BFIs&#39; branches with only 190 branches operating.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the total deposit, Kathmandu contributes 68.1 per cent of the total deposits. Similarly, outside the valley, Pokhara topped the list with 7.6 per cent deposits collection. Likewise, Dhangadhi, being the least financial accessible area contributes only 1.6 per cent in the total deposits.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, BFIs have extended the highest loan amount to Kathmandu. In the total amount of loan, Kathmandu utilises 52.6 per cent of BFIs loans. Outside the capital, the BFIs have extended the highest loans to Birgunj of 11.6 per cent and the least loans to Dhangadhi of 2.7 per cent.&nbsp;</p>
