<p style="text-align: justify;">The Macro Economic Report of the first 10 months of the current FY 2016/17 unveiled by NRB recently shows that the flow of loan has been decreased by Rs 90 million from mid- April to mid-May as compared to mid-March- mid-April in the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Although the NRB had directed the banking and financial institutions (BFIs) to decrease the loan on these sectors, such as overdraft, real estate loan (including personal housing loan), hire purchase, share margin loan as unproductive sector, the statistics shows that the flow of loan is higher by Rs 133.02 billion as compared to the first 10 months of the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the one month period from mid-March to mid-April in the current fiscal year, the flow of loan on unproductive sector was Rs 8.27 billion, which came down to Rs 8.26 from mid-April to mid-May. As per the statistics of NRB, though the total flow of loan seems to increase, share margin loan has decreased by Rs 30 million or 0.77 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nara Bahadur Thapa, Executive Director of the Department of Research of NRB, informed that as the sudden decrease of flow of loan might create troubles in market, they have requested the BFIs to decrease the flow of loan in this sector to maintain financial discipline eventually.</p>

The company&rsquo;s initiative to connect off-grid communities and another project that ensured access to drinking water and irrigation facilities to inhabitants of remote villages were shortlisted for the awards, said the company in a press statement.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">GSMA recently announced the short-list for the AMOs 2017, in which Ncell&rsquo;s two projects have found place for two different awards under the category &lsquo;Social and Economic Development&rsquo;. Winners of the AMO awards will be honored at the Asia Mobile Awards 2017 Ceremony to be held in Shanghai on June 28.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, Ncell&rsquo;s project that promotes off-grid power solutions, making both electricity and telecommunications facilities available to communities out of national electricity grid in Khotang and Udaypur has been nominated for &lsquo;Best Mobile Innovation for Emerging Markets&rsquo; Awards. Under this project, Ncell in collaboration with Gham Power Nepal Private Limited, have been jointly promoting access to solar power generated by three micro-grids and mobile services, creating new social and economic opportunities for the people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, another initiative which has been nominated for the award is Ncell&rsquo;s Water for Livelihood Project. This project has been nominated for &lsquo;Outstanding Mobile Contribution to the UN SDGs in Asia&rsquo; Award. Under this project, Ncell has supported three hilltop villages - Eladi, Dipka and Thuladi - of Syangja district to access water through deployment of clean water pumping technology. The system equipped with smart metering enables communities to efficiently manage water for household and commercial farming. This has ensured access to drinking water, improved sanitation, increase agricultural productivity, improved nutrition and raised income of the households, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. However, the import of chemical fertilizers, medicines, cold roll, sit-in coil, dry cell battery, and betel nuts has come down.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, during the review period of the current FY, the export has increased by 9.8 percent reaching to Rs 61.02 billion whereas it had decreased by 21.7 percent in the same time period of the previous FY. The report shows that export has increased by 15 percent to India, 5.6 percent to China and 3.1 percent to other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Macro Economic Report of the first 10 months of the current FY 2016/17 unveiled by NRB recently shows that the flow of loan has been decreased by Rs 90 million from mid- April to mid-May as compared to mid-March- mid-April in the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Although the NRB had directed the banking and financial institutions (BFIs) to decrease the loan on these sectors, such as overdraft, real estate loan (including personal housing loan), hire purchase, share margin loan as unproductive sector, the statistics shows that the flow of loan is higher by Rs 133.02 billion as compared to the first 10 months of the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the one month period from mid-March to mid-April in the current fiscal year, the flow of loan on unproductive sector was Rs 8.27 billion, which came down to Rs 8.26 from mid-April to mid-May. As per the statistics of NRB, though the total flow of loan seems to increase, share margin loan has decreased by Rs 30 million or 0.77 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nara Bahadur Thapa, Executive Director of the Department of Research of NRB, informed that as the sudden decrease of flow of loan might create troubles in market, they have requested the BFIs to decrease the flow of loan in this sector to maintain financial discipline eventually.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">GSMA recently announced the short-list for the AMOs 2017, in which Ncell&rsquo;s two projects have found place for two different awards under the category &lsquo;Social and Economic Development&rsquo;. Winners of the AMO awards will be honored at the Asia Mobile Awards 2017 Ceremony to be held in Shanghai on June 28.</p>

The system equipped with smart metering enables communities to efficiently manage water for household and commercial farming. <p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. However, the import of chemical fertilizers, medicines, cold roll, sit-in coil, dry cell battery, and betel nuts has come down.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, during the review period of the current FY, the export has increased by 9.8 percent reaching to Rs 61.02 billion whereas it had decreased by 21.7 percent in the same time period of the previous FY. The report shows that export has increased by 15 percent to India, 5.6 percent to China and 3.1 percent to other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Macro Economic Report of the first 10 months of the current FY 2016/17 unveiled by NRB recently shows that the flow of loan has been decreased by Rs 90 million from mid- April to mid-May as compared to mid-March- mid-April in the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Although the NRB had directed the banking and financial institutions (BFIs) to decrease the loan on these sectors, such as overdraft, real estate loan (including personal housing loan), hire purchase, share margin loan as unproductive sector, the statistics shows that the flow of loan is higher by Rs 133.02 billion as compared to the first 10 months of the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the one month period from mid-March to mid-April in the current fiscal year, the flow of loan on unproductive sector was Rs 8.27 billion, which came down to Rs 8.26 from mid-April to mid-May. As per the statistics of NRB, though the total flow of loan seems to increase, share margin loan has decreased by Rs 30 million or 0.77 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nara Bahadur Thapa, Executive Director of the Department of Research of NRB, informed that as the sudden decrease of flow of loan might create troubles in market, they have requested the BFIs to decrease the flow of loan in this sector to maintain financial discipline eventually.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. However, the import of chemical fertilizers, medicines, cold roll, sit-in coil, dry cell battery, and betel nuts has come down.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, during the review period of the current FY, the export has increased by 9.8 percent reaching to Rs 61.02 billion whereas it had decreased by 21.7 percent in the same time period of the previous FY. The report shows that export has increased by 15 percent to India, 5.6 percent to China and 3.1 percent to other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Macro Economic Report of the first 10 months of the current FY 2016/17 unveiled by NRB recently shows that the flow of loan has been decreased by Rs 90 million from mid- April to mid-May as compared to mid-March- mid-April in the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Although the NRB had directed the banking and financial institutions (BFIs) to decrease the loan on these sectors, such as overdraft, real estate loan (including personal housing loan), hire purchase, share margin loan as unproductive sector, the statistics shows that the flow of loan is higher by Rs 133.02 billion as compared to the first 10 months of the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the one month period from mid-March to mid-April in the current fiscal year, the flow of loan on unproductive sector was Rs 8.27 billion, which came down to Rs 8.26 from mid-April to mid-May. As per the statistics of NRB, though the total flow of loan seems to increase, share margin loan has decreased by Rs 30 million or 0.77 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nara Bahadur Thapa, Executive Director of the Department of Research of NRB, informed that as the sudden decrease of flow of loan might create troubles in market, they have requested the BFIs to decrease the flow of loan in this sector to maintain financial discipline eventually.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">GSMA recently announced the short-list for the AMOs 2017, in which Ncell&rsquo;s two projects have found place for two different awards under the category &lsquo;Social and Economic Development&rsquo;. Winners of the AMO awards will be honored at the Asia Mobile Awards 2017 Ceremony to be held in Shanghai on June 28.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, Ncell&rsquo;s project that promotes off-grid power solutions, making both electricity and telecommunications facilities available to communities out of national electricity grid in Khotang and Udaypur has been nominated for &lsquo;Best Mobile Innovation for Emerging Markets&rsquo; Awards. Under this project, Ncell in collaboration with Gham Power Nepal Private Limited, have been jointly promoting access to solar power generated by three micro-grids and mobile services, creating new social and economic opportunities for the people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, another initiative which has been nominated for the award is Ncell&rsquo;s Water for Livelihood Project. This project has been nominated for &lsquo;Outstanding Mobile Contribution to the UN SDGs in Asia&rsquo; Award. Under this project, Ncell has supported three hilltop villages - Eladi, Dipka and Thuladi - of Syangja district to access water through deployment of clean water pumping technology. The system equipped with smart metering enables communities to efficiently manage water for household and commercial farming. This has ensured access to drinking water, improved sanitation, increase agricultural productivity, improved nutrition and raised income of the households, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Macro Economic Report unveiled by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) on June 8, the import which was decreased by 4.6 percent in the first 10 months of the previous FY has now increased by 34.9 in the same period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the import in that period has been recorded amounting to Rs 61.2 billion. With this, the total trade deficit has reached Rs 747.65 billion.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The import of petroleum products, vehicles and its spare parts has increased the overall trade deficit. Though there is unexpected increase of import, the inflation is in control which until mid- May has increased by 3.4 percent only, as compared to the previous FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the time period, the import from India increased by 43.7 percent, by 12.5 percent from China, and 26.9 percent from other countries.&nbsp; Economists are expressing their concern on the alarming growth of import and slow rate of export as compared to export.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, Professor at Tribhuvan University stated that the trade deficit will increase more due to expediting import and slowing down export. He said, &ldquo;It will further destabilize the economy.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the report, the import of petroleum products, vehicles, spare parts of aircrafts and machinery, MS billets, among others, has increased in the time period. However, the import of chemical fertilizers, medicines, cold roll, sit-in coil, dry cell battery, and betel nuts has come down.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, during the review period of the current FY, the export has increased by 9.8 percent reaching to Rs 61.02 billion whereas it had decreased by 21.7 percent in the same time period of the previous FY. The report shows that export has increased by 15 percent to India, 5.6 percent to China and 3.1 percent to other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
