			'content' => '<p>October 15: Floriculture in Pokhara has become an attractive occupation for farmers targeting the Tihar festival with the growing demand for flowers.&nbsp; Thirty-two nurseries have been producing flowers in Pokhara. According to Daya Kumar Dwa, president of Kaski chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal (FAN), local flowers worth Rs 15 million are ready to be sold for Tihar.</p>

<p>The transaction of flowers in Pokhara during Tihar festival stands at Rs 20 million every year. &ldquo;The demand of flowers in Pokhara and places around Pokhara during Tihar can be fulfilled from the local production,&rdquo; said Dwa. &ldquo;Only 20 percent of flowers are imported from India and the trend of importing flowers from India is decreasing.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Some flowers are transported to Pokhara from neighboring districts. He said that the production of flowers in Pokhara is increasing every year.</p>

<p>Not only in Tihar but the demand of flowers is high at other times of the year as well. Pokhara records transaction of Rs 100 million in flower business annually, according to Dwa. Commercial floriculture is growing with the rising demand of flowers in the district. He said Pokhara used to import 90 percent of flowers from India some five years ago but now the import size has shrunk.</p>

<p>Traders complain that although they have the ability to fulfill the demand, production at the local level has not been given due importance that it deserves.</p>

<p>Farmers along with commercial floriculturists have been producing flowers targeting the Tihar festival. During other times of the year, flowers are used for decoration. Flowers are used in decoration of hotels and restaurants and also while welcoming guests in the city. Floriculturists claim that they are capable of producing flowers as per to the demand. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The institute had earlier launched the Junior Associate of National Banking Institute (JANBI), a professional banking certification on October 9, 2015 which became a popular program.</p>

<p>The program was inaugurated by Chintamani Siwakoti, deputy governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Friday, October 13. The course has been developed in collaboration with Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF), according to NBI.</p>

<p>Bankers holding the post of manager or above and having banking experience of at least 10 years are eligible for the course. The course will have the validity period of two years. JANBI accepted registration of bankers irrespective of their posts. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The examination will be conducted twice a year ie in the months of June and December and to pass the subject one has to score at least 50 marks in each subject. Score between 60 to 69 percent will be awarded first division and the score above 70 percent will recognized as distinction.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>In addition to that, it is also a step towards making NT more responsible to the customers.</p>

<p>Also, NT which was providing enquiry service through its toll-free number 197 has started operating the center with a new structure. Landline customers will now have to dial 198 and GSM and CDMA mobile customers need to dial 1498 for enquiry. Currently, the customer care service that is being provided only through telephone enquiry will be soon provided by SMSs, email and web chat.</p>

<p>Likewise, NT is planning to answer any comments and suggestion received through Facebook and Twitter via the same service center.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Despite approving the tender presented by a Florida-based American company Avian System Inc for the auction, NAC has decided to provide the aircraft to another company, it has been revealed.</p>

<p>A meeting of the board of directors (BoD) of NAC&nbsp;on Sunday&nbsp;has decided to sell the aircraft to BB Airways, informed Sugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of NAC. The decision, however, was revealed only&nbsp;on Thursday.</p>

<p>After failing to auction the aircraft even upon calling global tender for three times, the NAC had invited the American company Avian System Inc to sign an agreement.</p>

<p>A meeting of the NAC management on&nbsp;August 28&nbsp;had accepted the proposal of Avian System Inc. As per the decision of its management committee, NAC had emailed the company on September 20 about selling the aircraft to it.</p>

<p>NAC spokesperson Rabindra Shrestha had informed the American company that the Nepali&rsquo;s flag carrier has accepted their proposal, through phone calls and emails. The date for the officials of the American company to visit Nepal was scheduled as per the email correspondence.</p>

<p>MD Kansakar was also informed about the series of talks happening between NAC and the American company.</p>

<p>Although the officials of Avian System Inc are scheduled to arrive Nepal&nbsp;on October 14 for the deal, NAC&nbsp;on Thursday&nbsp;broke its promise and announced to sell the aircraft to BB Airways. This shows that there has been series of irregularities in the auction process.</p>

<p>A source claimed that the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jitendra Narayan Dev was also involved in the auction process.</p>

According to Daya Kumar Dwa, president of Kaski chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal (FAN), local flowers worth Rs 15 million are ready to be sold for Tihar.</p>

<p>The transaction of flowers in Pokhara during Tihar festival stands at Rs 20 million every year. &ldquo;The demand of flowers in Pokhara and places around Pokhara during Tihar can be fulfilled from the local production,&rdquo; said Dwa. &ldquo;Only 20 percent of flowers are imported from India and the trend of importing flowers from India is decreasing.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Some flowers are transported to Pokhara from neighboring districts. He said that the production of flowers in Pokhara is increasing every year.</p>

<p>Not only in Tihar but the demand of flowers is high at other times of the year as well. Pokhara records transaction of Rs 100 million in flower business annually, according to Dwa. Commercial floriculture is growing with the rising demand of flowers in the district. He said Pokhara used to import 90 percent of flowers from India some five years ago but now the import size has shrunk.</p>

<p>Traders complain that although they have the ability to fulfill the demand, production at the local level has not been given due importance that it deserves.</p>

<p>Farmers along with commercial floriculturists have been producing flowers targeting the Tihar festival. During other times of the year, flowers are used for decoration. Flowers are used in decoration of hotels and restaurants and also while welcoming guests in the city. Floriculturists claim that they are capable of producing flowers as per to the demand. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bankers holding the post of manager or above and having banking experience of at least 10 years are eligible for the course. The course will have the validity period of two years. JANBI accepted registration of bankers irrespective of their posts. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The examination will be conducted twice a year ie in the months of June and December and to pass the subject one has to score at least 50 marks in each subject. Score between 60 to 69 percent will be awarded first division and the score above 70 percent will recognized as distinction.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Currently, the customer care service that is being provided only through telephone enquiry will be soon provided by SMSs, email and web chat.</p>

<p>Despite approving the tender presented by a Florida-based American company Avian System Inc for the auction, NAC has decided to provide the aircraft to another company, it has been revealed.</p>

<p>A meeting of the board of directors (BoD) of NAC&nbsp;on Sunday&nbsp;has decided to sell the aircraft to BB Airways, informed Sugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of NAC. The decision, however, was revealed only&nbsp;on Thursday.</p>

<p>After failing to auction the aircraft even upon calling global tender for three times, the NAC had invited the American company Avian System Inc to sign an agreement.</p>

<p>A meeting of the NAC management on&nbsp;August 28&nbsp;had accepted the proposal of Avian System Inc. As per the decision of its management committee, NAC had emailed the company on September 20 about selling the aircraft to it.</p>

<p>NAC spokesperson Rabindra Shrestha had informed the American company that the Nepali&rsquo;s flag carrier has accepted their proposal, through phone calls and emails. The date for the officials of the American company to visit Nepal was scheduled as per the email correspondence.</p>

<p>MD Kansakar was also informed about the series of talks happening between NAC and the American company.</p>

According to Daya Kumar Dwa, president of Kaski chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal (FAN), local flowers worth Rs 15 million are ready to be sold for Tihar.</p>

<p>The transaction of flowers in Pokhara during Tihar festival stands at Rs 20 million every year. &ldquo;The demand of flowers in Pokhara and places around Pokhara during Tihar can be fulfilled from the local production,&rdquo; said Dwa. &ldquo;Only 20 percent of flowers are imported from India and the trend of importing flowers from India is decreasing.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Some flowers are transported to Pokhara from neighboring districts. He said that the production of flowers in Pokhara is increasing every year.</p>

<p>Not only in Tihar but the demand of flowers is high at other times of the year as well. Pokhara records transaction of Rs 100 million in flower business annually, according to Dwa. Commercial floriculture is growing with the rising demand of flowers in the district. He said Pokhara used to import 90 percent of flowers from India some five years ago but now the import size has shrunk.</p>

<p>Traders complain that although they have the ability to fulfill the demand, production at the local level has not been given due importance that it deserves.</p>

<p>Farmers along with commercial floriculturists have been producing flowers targeting the Tihar festival. During other times of the year, flowers are used for decoration. Flowers are used in decoration of hotels and restaurants and also while welcoming guests in the city. Floriculturists claim that they are capable of producing flowers as per to the demand. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bankers holding the post of manager or above and having banking experience of at least 10 years are eligible for the course. The course will have the validity period of two years. JANBI accepted registration of bankers irrespective of their posts. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The examination will be conducted twice a year ie in the months of June and December and to pass the subject one has to score at least 50 marks in each subject. Score between 60 to 69 percent will be awarded first division and the score above 70 percent will recognized as distinction.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Landline customers will now have to dial 198 and GSM and CDMA mobile customers need to dial 1498 for enquiry. Currently, the customer care service that is being provided only through telephone enquiry will be soon provided by SMSs, email and web chat.</p>

<p>Likewise, NT is planning to answer any comments and suggestion received through Facebook and Twitter via the same service center.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Despite approving the tender presented by a Florida-based American company Avian System Inc for the auction, NAC has decided to provide the aircraft to another company, it has been revealed.</p>

<p>A meeting of the board of directors (BoD) of NAC&nbsp;on Sunday&nbsp;has decided to sell the aircraft to BB Airways, informed Sugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of NAC. The decision, however, was revealed only&nbsp;on Thursday.</p>

<p>After failing to auction the aircraft even upon calling global tender for three times, the NAC had invited the American company Avian System Inc to sign an agreement.</p>

<p>A meeting of the NAC management on&nbsp;August 28&nbsp;had accepted the proposal of Avian System Inc. As per the decision of its management committee, NAC had emailed the company on September 20 about selling the aircraft to it.</p>

<p>NAC spokesperson Rabindra Shrestha had informed the American company that the Nepali&rsquo;s flag carrier has accepted their proposal, through phone calls and emails. The date for the officials of the American company to visit Nepal was scheduled as per the email correspondence.</p>

<p>MD Kansakar was also informed about the series of talks happening between NAC and the American company.</p>

<p>Although the officials of Avian System Inc are scheduled to arrive Nepal&nbsp;on October 14 for the deal, NAC&nbsp;on Thursday&nbsp;broke its promise and announced to sell the aircraft to BB Airways. This shows that there has been series of irregularities in the auction process.</p>

<p>A source claimed that the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jitendra Narayan Dev was also involved in the auction process.</p>

According to Daya Kumar Dwa, president of Kaski chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal (FAN), local flowers worth Rs 15 million are ready to be sold for Tihar.</p>

<p>The transaction of flowers in Pokhara during Tihar festival stands at Rs 20 million every year. &ldquo;The demand of flowers in Pokhara and places around Pokhara during Tihar can be fulfilled from the local production,&rdquo; said Dwa. &ldquo;Only 20 percent of flowers are imported from India and the trend of importing flowers from India is decreasing.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Some flowers are transported to Pokhara from neighboring districts. He said that the production of flowers in Pokhara is increasing every year.</p>

<p>Not only in Tihar but the demand of flowers is high at other times of the year as well. Pokhara records transaction of Rs 100 million in flower business annually, according to Dwa. Commercial floriculture is growing with the rising demand of flowers in the district. He said Pokhara used to import 90 percent of flowers from India some five years ago but now the import size has shrunk.</p>

<p>Traders complain that although they have the ability to fulfill the demand, production at the local level has not been given due importance that it deserves.</p>

<p>Farmers along with commercial floriculturists have been producing flowers targeting the Tihar festival. During other times of the year, flowers are used for decoration. Flowers are used in decoration of hotels and restaurants and also while welcoming guests in the city. Floriculturists claim that they are capable of producing flowers as per to the demand. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The program was inaugurated by Chintamani Siwakoti, deputy governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Friday, October 13. The course has been developed in collaboration with Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF), according to NBI.</p>

<p>Bankers holding the post of manager or above and having banking experience of at least 10 years are eligible for the course. The course will have the validity period of two years. JANBI accepted registration of bankers irrespective of their posts. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The examination will be conducted twice a year ie in the months of June and December and to pass the subject one has to score at least 50 marks in each subject. Score between 60 to 69 percent will be awarded first division and the score above 70 percent will recognized as distinction.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Landline customers will now have to dial 198 and GSM and CDMA mobile customers need to dial 1498 for enquiry. Currently, the customer care service that is being provided only through telephone enquiry will be soon provided by SMSs, email and web chat.</p>

<p>Likewise, NT is planning to answer any comments and suggestion received through Facebook and Twitter via the same service center.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Despite approving the tender presented by a Florida-based American company Avian System Inc for the auction, NAC has decided to provide the aircraft to another company, it has been revealed.</p>

<p>A meeting of the board of directors (BoD) of NAC&nbsp;on Sunday&nbsp;has decided to sell the aircraft to BB Airways, informed Sugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of NAC. The decision, however, was revealed only&nbsp;on Thursday.</p>

<p>After failing to auction the aircraft even upon calling global tender for three times, the NAC had invited the American company Avian System Inc to sign an agreement.</p>

<p>A meeting of the NAC management on&nbsp;August 28&nbsp;had accepted the proposal of Avian System Inc. As per the decision of its management committee, NAC had emailed the company on September 20 about selling the aircraft to it.</p>

<p>NAC spokesperson Rabindra Shrestha had informed the American company that the Nepali&rsquo;s flag carrier has accepted their proposal, through phone calls and emails. The date for the officials of the American company to visit Nepal was scheduled as per the email correspondence.</p>

<p>MD Kansakar was also informed about the series of talks happening between NAC and the American company.</p>

<p>Although the officials of Avian System Inc are scheduled to arrive Nepal&nbsp;on October 14 for the deal, NAC&nbsp;on Thursday&nbsp;broke its promise and announced to sell the aircraft to BB Airways. This shows that there has been series of irregularities in the auction process.</p>

<p>A source claimed that the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jitendra Narayan Dev was also involved in the auction process.</p>
