			'content' => '<p>July 11: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has unveiled the monetary policy for the fiscal year 2018/19. NRB Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal unveiled the monetary policy amid a function held at Hotel Radisson in the capital on Wednesday, July 11.</p>

<p>As per the new monetary policy, banks and financial institutions (BFIs) will have to maintain the current spread rate of 5 percent between deposit and credit. BFIs had suggested to the central bank to reduce the spread rate claiming that there wasn&rsquo;t enough investible capital in the market. However, NRB maintained the same rate between deposit and credit.</p>

<p>While announcing the monetary policy, Governor Nepal said that the government is under pressure to meet the target of 6.5 percent economic growth rate set by the budget announced for the upcoming fiscal year.</p>

<p>The central bank unveiled the monetary policy after analyzing the pros and cons of the budget and the current financial state of the nation.</p>

<p>The fleet of Prabhu reached five after it procured two new helicopters this year. Previously, the company had procured a helicopter each in 2016 and 2017.</p>

<p>Prabhu is currently providing service with four Robinson R66 and a Robinson R44 helicopters manufactured in the United States. Robinson R66 can carry four passengers on board along with a pilot and Robinson R44 has the capacity to accommodate three individuals and a pilot.</p>

<p>The company said it has invested almost Rs 600 million for the five Robinson helicopters. Roshan Dangol, operation manager of Prabhu Helicopter, informed that the service of the company has become very crucial for assisting tourists for sightseeing of landscapes around Pokhara.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started to operate five helicopters,&rdquo; he confirmed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from sightseeing operation, the company has also been also providing air rescue service with the helicopters. Dangol informed that the company is first to start sightseeing operation with a helicopter and the company after analyzing the interest of tourists has decided to extend its business.</p>

<p>Roshan Dangol along with Binod Thakali, Dev Prasad Bhattchan and Iccha Bahadur Dangol have invested in the company.</p>

<p>The company analyzing the increasing demand of helicopters for sightseeing, charter and rescue operations has increased its investment. Three out of five helicopters are operated from Pokhara-based station and two from Kathmandu, informed Dinesh Maharjan, business development manager.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Maximum number of tourists in Pokhara are attracted by the mountains and we offer discount and help them to see the mountains from very near through our helicopter,&rdquo; Maharjan added.</p>

<p>To be implemented through the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (MOLJPA) jointly with the Office of the Attorney General and Nepal Bar Association, the $4.6 million project is funded by the Norwegian Government and UNDP.</p>

<p>Norway&rsquo;s Ambassador to Nepal Lasse Bj&oslash;rn Johannessen, and UNDP Country Director Renaud Meyer signed the agreement on Monday at the ministry in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu. The Norwegian government will contribute $3.6 million and UNDP $1 million to the project, according to a joint statement issued by the Government of Nepal and UNDP.</p>

<p>The three-year project aims to enhance people&rsquo;s access to justice by helping the ministry make needful reforms in the legal aid regime in Nepal. The project will also support in effectively implementing the integrated legal aid policy, currently being finalized by the Ministry. The policy aims to provide free legal aid services to the poor and vulnerable people across the country.</p>

<p>The project will help reform the criminal and civil justice systems by providing necessary technical and capacity support to the judicial committees set up at the local governments of Province 2, 6 and 7, particularly with the aim to promote access to justice of women, poor and vulnerable groups, said Rajib Gautam, secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.</p>

<p>In order to promote participation of women and vulnerable groups in the justice system, the project will provide scholarships, internships and other professional opportunities to law students coming from these groups. The project will explore opportunities to support effective delivery of justice for inclusive economic development through tailored trainings to the concerned stakeholders.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We are pleased to sign this new agreement and are grateful for the generosity of Norway which enables UNDP to continue working under the leadership and ownership of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to improve the rule of law and access to justice, particularly for the poor and most vulnerable population of Nepal,&rdquo; said Renaud Meyer, country director of UNDP Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We want to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing justice as it is a fundamental pillar of any democracy and at the heart of both the Constitution of Nepal and the mandate of the UN.&rdquo;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Upon the request from the Government of Nepal, Norway is very pleased to be here today and commit ourselves to continue our support in the justice sector. This is the first disbursement of the EU&#39;s current education sector budget support totalling &euro;56,500,000 (equivalent to just over Rs 7 billion 94 million), reads a statement issued by the EU. The allocated fund has been disbursed as part of the EU&rsquo;s efforts in making a continuous contribution to Nepal&rsquo;s education sector.</p>

<p>&quot;Nepal&#39;s school sector is right now adjusting to the realities of the new federal state structure and the EU is a committed partner of Nepal in this endeavour. This is an opportunity to accelerate reforms benefitting all girls and boys equitably to allow them a better preparation for a productive life after school,&quot; the statement quoted EU Ambassador to Nepal Veronica Cody as saying.</p>

<p>The EU said it has been a partner of Nepal in this endeavour for almost two decades, directly working with national plans and using Nepal&rsquo;s own administrative systems. What started as cooperation on basic education has over the years grown to a comprehensive partnership also encompassing secondary education, technical and vocational training and, through the Erasmus programme.</p>

<p>According to the EU, the sound progress of the School Sector Development Programme (SSDP) is evidenced by the increase in the net enrolment rate (NER) for basic education (G1-8) from 89.4 percent in 2015/16 to 92.3 percent in 2017/18. Similarly, the share of students repeating classes continues to decline as shown by an increase in the grade 8 survival rate from 75.9 percent to 77.4 percent. Moreover, the number of new entrants in grade 1 with preschool experience continues to increase from 64.7 percent in 2016/17 to 66.3 percent in 2017/18, according to the statement. These are important accomplishments for basic education in Nepal at a time when the country is transitioning to a federal form of governance.</p>

<p>As per the new monetary policy, banks and financial institutions (BFIs) will have to maintain the current spread rate of 5 percent between deposit and credit. BFIs had suggested to the central bank to reduce the spread rate claiming that there wasn&rsquo;t enough investible capital in the market. However, NRB maintained the same rate between deposit and credit.</p>

<p>While announcing the monetary policy, Governor Nepal said that the government is under pressure to meet the target of 6.5 percent economic growth rate set by the budget announced for the upcoming fiscal year.</p>

<p>The central bank unveiled the monetary policy after analyzing the pros and cons of the budget and the current financial state of the nation.</p>

<p>The fleet of Prabhu reached five after it procured two new helicopters this year. Previously, the company had procured a helicopter each in 2016 and 2017.</p>

<p>Prabhu is currently providing service with four Robinson R66 and a Robinson R44 helicopters manufactured in the United States. Robinson R66 can carry four passengers on board along with a pilot and Robinson R44 has the capacity to accommodate three individuals and a pilot.</p>

<p>The company said it has invested almost Rs 600 million for the five Robinson helicopters. Roshan Dangol, operation manager of Prabhu Helicopter, informed that the service of the company has become very crucial for assisting tourists for sightseeing of landscapes around Pokhara.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started to operate five helicopters,&rdquo; he confirmed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from sightseeing operation, the company has also been also providing air rescue service with the helicopters. Dangol informed that the company is first to start sightseeing operation with a helicopter and the company after analyzing the interest of tourists has decided to extend its business.</p>

<p>Roshan Dangol along with Binod Thakali, Dev Prasad Bhattchan and Iccha Bahadur Dangol have invested in the company.</p>

<p>The company analyzing the increasing demand of helicopters for sightseeing, charter and rescue operations has increased its investment. Three out of five helicopters are operated from Pokhara-based station and two from Kathmandu, informed Dinesh Maharjan, business development manager.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Maximum number of tourists in Pokhara are attracted by the mountains and we offer discount and help them to see the mountains from very near through our helicopter,&rdquo; Maharjan added.</p>

<p>To be implemented through the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (MOLJPA) jointly with the Office of the Attorney General and Nepal Bar Association, the $4.6 million project is funded by the Norwegian Government and UNDP.</p>

<p>Norway&rsquo;s Ambassador to Nepal Lasse Bj&oslash;rn Johannessen, and UNDP Country Director Renaud Meyer signed the agreement on Monday at the ministry in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu. The Norwegian government will contribute $3.6 million and UNDP $1 million to the project, according to a joint statement issued by the Government of Nepal and UNDP.</p>

<p>The three-year project aims to enhance people&rsquo;s access to justice by helping the ministry make needful reforms in the legal aid regime in Nepal. The project will also support in effectively implementing the integrated legal aid policy, currently being finalized by the Ministry. The policy aims to provide free legal aid services to the poor and vulnerable people across the country.</p>

<p>The project will help reform the criminal and civil justice systems by providing necessary technical and capacity support to the judicial committees set up at the local governments of Province 2, 6 and 7, particularly with the aim to promote access to justice of women, poor and vulnerable groups, said Rajib Gautam, secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.</p>

<p>In order to promote participation of women and vulnerable groups in the justice system, the project will provide scholarships, internships and other professional opportunities to law students coming from these groups. The project will explore opportunities to support effective delivery of justice for inclusive economic development through tailored trainings to the concerned stakeholders.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We are pleased to sign this new agreement and are grateful for the generosity of Norway which enables UNDP to continue working under the leadership and ownership of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to improve the rule of law and access to justice, particularly for the poor and most vulnerable population of Nepal,&rdquo; said Renaud Meyer, country director of UNDP Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We want to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing justice as it is a fundamental pillar of any democracy and at the heart of both the Constitution of Nepal and the mandate of the UN.&rdquo;</p>

The allocated fund has been disbursed as part of the EU&rsquo;s efforts in making a continuous contribution to Nepal&rsquo;s education sector.</p>

<p>&quot;Nepal&#39;s school sector is right now adjusting to the realities of the new federal state structure and the EU is a committed partner of Nepal in this endeavour. This is an opportunity to accelerate reforms benefitting all girls and boys equitably to allow them a better preparation for a productive life after school,&quot; the statement quoted EU Ambassador to Nepal Veronica Cody as saying.</p>

<p>The EU said it has been a partner of Nepal in this endeavour for almost two decades, directly working with national plans and using Nepal&rsquo;s own administrative systems. What started as cooperation on basic education has over the years grown to a comprehensive partnership also encompassing secondary education, technical and vocational training and, through the Erasmus programme.</p>

<p>According to the EU, the sound progress of the School Sector Development Programme (SSDP) is evidenced by the increase in the net enrolment rate (NER) for basic education (G1-8) from 89.4 percent in 2015/16 to 92.3 percent in 2017/18. Similarly, the share of students repeating classes continues to decline as shown by an increase in the grade 8 survival rate from 75.9 percent to 77.4 percent. Moreover, the number of new entrants in grade 1 with preschool experience continues to increase from 64.7 percent in 2016/17 to 66.3 percent in 2017/18, according to the statement. These are important accomplishments for basic education in Nepal at a time when the country is transitioning to a federal form of governance.</p>

<p>The fleet of Prabhu reached five after it procured two new helicopters this year. Previously, the company had procured a helicopter each in 2016 and 2017.</p>

<p>Prabhu is currently providing service with four Robinson R66 and a Robinson R44 helicopters manufactured in the United States. Robinson R66 can carry four passengers on board along with a pilot and Robinson R44 has the capacity to accommodate three individuals and a pilot.</p>

<p>The company said it has invested almost Rs 600 million for the five Robinson helicopters. Roshan Dangol, operation manager of Prabhu Helicopter, informed that the service of the company has become very crucial for assisting tourists for sightseeing of landscapes around Pokhara.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started to operate five helicopters,&rdquo; he confirmed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from sightseeing operation, the company has also been also providing air rescue service with the helicopters. Dangol informed that the company is first to start sightseeing operation with a helicopter and the company after analyzing the interest of tourists has decided to extend its business.</p>

<p>Roshan Dangol along with Binod Thakali, Dev Prasad Bhattchan and Iccha Bahadur Dangol have invested in the company.</p>

<p>The company analyzing the increasing demand of helicopters for sightseeing, charter and rescue operations has increased its investment. Three out of five helicopters are operated from Pokhara-based station and two from Kathmandu, informed Dinesh Maharjan, business development manager.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Maximum number of tourists in Pokhara are attracted by the mountains and we offer discount and help them to see the mountains from very near through our helicopter,&rdquo; Maharjan added.</p>

<p>To be implemented through the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (MOLJPA) jointly with the Office of the Attorney General and Nepal Bar Association, the $4.6 million project is funded by the Norwegian Government and UNDP.</p>

<p>Norway&rsquo;s Ambassador to Nepal Lasse Bj&oslash;rn Johannessen, and UNDP Country Director Renaud Meyer signed the agreement on Monday at the ministry in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu. The Norwegian government will contribute $3.6 million and UNDP $1 million to the project, according to a joint statement issued by the Government of Nepal and UNDP.</p>

<p>The three-year project aims to enhance people&rsquo;s access to justice by helping the ministry make needful reforms in the legal aid regime in Nepal. The project will also support in effectively implementing the integrated legal aid policy, currently being finalized by the Ministry. The policy aims to provide free legal aid services to the poor and vulnerable people across the country.</p>

<p>The project will help reform the criminal and civil justice systems by providing necessary technical and capacity support to the judicial committees set up at the local governments of Province 2, 6 and 7, particularly with the aim to promote access to justice of women, poor and vulnerable groups, said Rajib Gautam, secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.</p>

<p>In order to promote participation of women and vulnerable groups in the justice system, the project will provide scholarships, internships and other professional opportunities to law students coming from these groups. The project will explore opportunities to support effective delivery of justice for inclusive economic development through tailored trainings to the concerned stakeholders.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We are pleased to sign this new agreement and are grateful for the generosity of Norway which enables UNDP to continue working under the leadership and ownership of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to improve the rule of law and access to justice, particularly for the poor and most vulnerable population of Nepal,&rdquo; said Renaud Meyer, country director of UNDP Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We want to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing justice as it is a fundamental pillar of any democracy and at the heart of both the Constitution of Nepal and the mandate of the UN.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The EU said it has been a partner of Nepal in this endeavour for almost two decades, directly working with national plans and using Nepal&rsquo;s own administrative systems. What started as cooperation on basic education has over the years grown to a comprehensive partnership also encompassing secondary education, technical and vocational training and, through the Erasmus programme.</p>

<p>According to the EU, the sound progress of the School Sector Development Programme (SSDP) is evidenced by the increase in the net enrolment rate (NER) for basic education (G1-8) from 89.4 percent in 2015/16 to 92.3 percent in 2017/18. Similarly, the share of students repeating classes continues to decline as shown by an increase in the grade 8 survival rate from 75.9 percent to 77.4 percent. Moreover, the number of new entrants in grade 1 with preschool experience continues to increase from 64.7 percent in 2016/17 to 66.3 percent in 2017/18, according to the statement. These are important accomplishments for basic education in Nepal at a time when the country is transitioning to a federal form of governance.</p>

<p>As per the new monetary policy, banks and financial institutions (BFIs) will have to maintain the current spread rate of 5 percent between deposit and credit. BFIs had suggested to the central bank to reduce the spread rate claiming that there wasn&rsquo;t enough investible capital in the market. However, NRB maintained the same rate between deposit and credit.</p>

<p>While announcing the monetary policy, Governor Nepal said that the government is under pressure to meet the target of 6.5 percent economic growth rate set by the budget announced for the upcoming fiscal year.</p>

<p>The fleet of Prabhu reached five after it procured two new helicopters this year. Previously, the company had procured a helicopter each in 2016 and 2017.</p>

<p>Prabhu is currently providing service with four Robinson R66 and a Robinson R44 helicopters manufactured in the United States. Robinson R66 can carry four passengers on board along with a pilot and Robinson R44 has the capacity to accommodate three individuals and a pilot.</p>

<p>The company said it has invested almost Rs 600 million for the five Robinson helicopters. Roshan Dangol, operation manager of Prabhu Helicopter, informed that the service of the company has become very crucial for assisting tourists for sightseeing of landscapes around Pokhara.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have started to operate five helicopters,&rdquo; he confirmed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from sightseeing operation, the company has also been also providing air rescue service with the helicopters. Dangol informed that the company is first to start sightseeing operation with a helicopter and the company after analyzing the interest of tourists has decided to extend its business.</p>

<p>Roshan Dangol along with Binod Thakali, Dev Prasad Bhattchan and Iccha Bahadur Dangol have invested in the company.</p>

<p>The company analyzing the increasing demand of helicopters for sightseeing, charter and rescue operations has increased its investment. Three out of five helicopters are operated from Pokhara-based station and two from Kathmandu, informed Dinesh Maharjan, business development manager.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Maximum number of tourists in Pokhara are attracted by the mountains and we offer discount and help them to see the mountains from very near through our helicopter,&rdquo; Maharjan added.</p>

<p>To be implemented through the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (MOLJPA) jointly with the Office of the Attorney General and Nepal Bar Association, the $4.6 million project is funded by the Norwegian Government and UNDP.</p>

<p>Norway&rsquo;s Ambassador to Nepal Lasse Bj&oslash;rn Johannessen, and UNDP Country Director Renaud Meyer signed the agreement on Monday at the ministry in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu. The Norwegian government will contribute $3.6 million and UNDP $1 million to the project, according to a joint statement issued by the Government of Nepal and UNDP.</p>

<p>The three-year project aims to enhance people&rsquo;s access to justice by helping the ministry make needful reforms in the legal aid regime in Nepal. The project will also support in effectively implementing the integrated legal aid policy, currently being finalized by the Ministry. The policy aims to provide free legal aid services to the poor and vulnerable people across the country.</p>

<p>The project will help reform the criminal and civil justice systems by providing necessary technical and capacity support to the judicial committees set up at the local governments of Province 2, 6 and 7, particularly with the aim to promote access to justice of women, poor and vulnerable groups, said Rajib Gautam, secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.</p>

<p>In order to promote participation of women and vulnerable groups in the justice system, the project will provide scholarships, internships and other professional opportunities to law students coming from these groups. The project will explore opportunities to support effective delivery of justice for inclusive economic development through tailored trainings to the concerned stakeholders.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We are pleased to sign this new agreement and are grateful for the generosity of Norway which enables UNDP to continue working under the leadership and ownership of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to improve the rule of law and access to justice, particularly for the poor and most vulnerable population of Nepal,&rdquo; said Renaud Meyer, country director of UNDP Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We want to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing justice as it is a fundamental pillar of any democracy and at the heart of both the Constitution of Nepal and the mandate of the UN.&rdquo;</p>

The allocated fund has been disbursed as part of the EU&rsquo;s efforts in making a continuous contribution to Nepal&rsquo;s education sector.</p>

<p>&quot;Nepal&#39;s school sector is right now adjusting to the realities of the new federal state structure and the EU is a committed partner of Nepal in this endeavour. This is an opportunity to accelerate reforms benefitting all girls and boys equitably to allow them a better preparation for a productive life after school,&quot; the statement quoted EU Ambassador to Nepal Veronica Cody as saying.</p>

<p>The EU said it has been a partner of Nepal in this endeavour for almost two decades, directly working with national plans and using Nepal&rsquo;s own administrative systems. What started as cooperation on basic education has over the years grown to a comprehensive partnership also encompassing secondary education, technical and vocational training and, through the Erasmus programme.</p>

<p>According to the EU, the sound progress of the School Sector Development Programme (SSDP) is evidenced by the increase in the net enrolment rate (NER) for basic education (G1-8) from 89.4 percent in 2015/16 to 92.3 percent in 2017/18. Similarly, the share of students repeating classes continues to decline as shown by an increase in the grade 8 survival rate from 75.9 percent to 77.4 percent. Moreover, the number of new entrants in grade 1 with preschool experience continues to increase from 64.7 percent in 2016/17 to 66.3 percent in 2017/18, according to the statement. These are important accomplishments for basic education in Nepal at a time when the country is transitioning to a federal form of governance.</p>
