Among which only 151branches have been resumed so far.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Meanwhile, World Bank is providing foreign loan of Rs 10.7 billion for the stability of Nepal&rsquo;s financial sector. The representative of World Bank and the government of Nepal have signed on an agreement paper on this regard. World Bank expects that the aid will be utilised for enhancing financial sector development, restructuring and strengthening the financial system, strengthening the legal and regulatory framework and enhancing governance and transparency of the banking sector.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the company will provide night data package with 30 days validity of 3GB and 6.5 GB for Rs 200 and Rs 300 respectively. The night package will come into effect from 10 pm to 6 am, informed the company.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, under night voice package, GSM SIM card holders will get 250 minutes voice pack at just Rs 25 (with taxes). The night voice package will be available from 10 pm to 6 am for seven days from April 12 to May 10. &nbsp;</p>

However, no BFIs can charge more than 100.&rdquo; After the amendment, issue manager can charge only Rs 10 as service charge which was previously Rs 15.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Spokesperson Giri, a total of 60 percent of the total issuance amount is being collected through ASBA mechanism in a very short period of ASBA implementation. &ldquo;It shows exciting participation of both investors and BFIs,&rdquo; Giri added. The amended guidelines also mentioned to expand the area of ASBA mechanism in all 75 districts by bringing state owned Banijya Bank into ASBA.&nbsp;</p>

			'content' => '<p style="text-align: justify;">April 11: According to Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation of Nepal (Based on Eight Months&rsquo; Data of 2016/71) report of Nepal Rastra Bank, credit extended by banks and financial institutions (BFIs) of Nepal increased by 15.3 percent in the last eight months of the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The credit extension was increased by 10.8 percent in the same period of the previous FY. In the review period, private sector credit from commercial banks and development banks increased by 17.6 percent and 6.5 percent respectively, while that of finance companies decreased by 3.6 percent, as per the report. On y-o-y basis, credit to the private sector from BFIs increased by 28.9 percent in mid-March 2017.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that credit to the agriculture sector increased by 8.5 percent, industrial production sector by 12.0 percent and construction sector by 17.9 percent. Similarly, the credit to wholesale and retail trade sector increased by 13.0 percent, service industries sector by 14.7 percent and transport, communication and public sector by 22.4 percent in the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the report, of the total outstanding credit of BFIs, 60.2 percent is against the collateral of land and building and 14.5 percent against the collateral of current assets (such as agricultural and nonagricultural products) in the review period.&nbsp; Such ratios were 59.7 percent and 13 percent respectively in the same period of the previous year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the report reveals that of the total lending of bank and financial institutions, the share of real estate (including personal home loan up to Rs 10 million) was 15.1 percent in mid-March 2017. Meanwhile, of the total lending of commercial banks, credit to small and medium enterprises was only 2.6 percent (Rs 42.69 billion) in mid-March 2017. Similarly, Trust Receipt (T.R.) loan extended by commercial banks increased 14.1 percent (Rs 10.23 billion) in the review period compared to an increase of 1.2 percent in the same period of the previous year.</p>

The report issued by Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC) suggests that Nepal has been importing onion from India and other countries. According to statistics of TEPC, Nepal imported onion worth Rs 2.44 billion within the first seven months of current fiscal year from countries including India, China, Thailand and Nicaragua.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report proves that the country is compelled to import onions from other countries despite of being able to cultivate it in its own land. &nbsp;According to the official of the center, billions of rupees are flowing out of the country in onion import.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&ldquo;The domestic production is not sufficient to meet the demand of the country resulting import unavoidable,&rdquo; said an official at the centre. &ldquo;Moreover, onion is imported in order to avoid price inflation caused by scarcity of onion due to low production,&rdquo; said stakeholders.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Although there is extreme potential in Nepal to produce onion in its own, it could not be done as per the demand. Meanwhile, onion producers complain that the cost of the production is quite high in onion cultivation. &nbsp;Moreover, the producers opined that the problem lies beneath the government&rsquo;s differentiation towards the onion production. &nbsp;&ldquo;Lack of resources in the country and support from government plays equal part in the particular problem,&rdquo; said the onion producers. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the statistics of TEPC, Nepal has been importing even more onion in recent days. In the FY 2071/72, Nepal imported more than 96.3 million kilograms onion worth more than Rs 3 billion.&nbsp; However, the quantity exceeds to 120 million kilograms worth Rs 3.26 billion in the FY 2072/73.&nbsp;</p>

However, no BFIs can charge more than 100.&rdquo; After the amendment, issue manager can charge only Rs 10 as service charge which was previously Rs 15.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Spokesperson Giri, a total of 60 percent of the total issuance amount is being collected through ASBA mechanism in a very short period of ASBA implementation. &ldquo;It shows exciting participation of both investors and BFIs,&rdquo; Giri added. The amended guidelines also mentioned to expand the area of ASBA mechanism in all 75 districts by bringing state owned Banijya Bank into ASBA.&nbsp;</p>

			'content' => '<p style="text-align: justify;">April 11: According to Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation of Nepal (Based on Eight Months&rsquo; Data of 2016/71) report of Nepal Rastra Bank, credit extended by banks and financial institutions (BFIs) of Nepal increased by 15.3 percent in the last eight months of the current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The credit extension was increased by 10.8 percent in the same period of the previous FY. In the review period, private sector credit from commercial banks and development banks increased by 17.6 percent and 6.5 percent respectively, while that of finance companies decreased by 3.6 percent, as per the report. On y-o-y basis, credit to the private sector from BFIs increased by 28.9 percent in mid-March 2017.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that credit to the agriculture sector increased by 8.5 percent, industrial production sector by 12.0 percent and construction sector by 17.9 percent. Similarly, the credit to wholesale and retail trade sector increased by 13.0 percent, service industries sector by 14.7 percent and transport, communication and public sector by 22.4 percent in the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the report, of the total outstanding credit of BFIs, 60.2 percent is against the collateral of land and building and 14.5 percent against the collateral of current assets (such as agricultural and nonagricultural products) in the review period.&nbsp; Such ratios were 59.7 percent and 13 percent respectively in the same period of the previous year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the report reveals that of the total lending of bank and financial institutions, the share of real estate (including personal home loan up to Rs 10 million) was 15.1 percent in mid-March 2017. Meanwhile, of the total lending of commercial banks, credit to small and medium enterprises was only 2.6 percent (Rs 42.69 billion) in mid-March 2017. Similarly, Trust Receipt (T.R.) loan extended by commercial banks increased 14.1 percent (Rs 10.23 billion) in the review period compared to an increase of 1.2 percent in the same period of the previous year.</p>

The report issued by Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC) suggests that Nepal has been importing onion from India and other countries. According to statistics of TEPC, Nepal imported onion worth Rs 2.44 billion within the first seven months of current fiscal year from countries including India, China, Thailand and Nicaragua.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report proves that the country is compelled to import onions from other countries despite of being able to cultivate it in its own land. &nbsp;According to the official of the center, billions of rupees are flowing out of the country in onion import.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&ldquo;The domestic production is not sufficient to meet the demand of the country resulting import unavoidable,&rdquo; said an official at the centre. &ldquo;Moreover, onion is imported in order to avoid price inflation caused by scarcity of onion due to low production,&rdquo; said stakeholders.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Although there is extreme potential in Nepal to produce onion in its own, it could not be done as per the demand. Meanwhile, onion producers complain that the cost of the production is quite high in onion cultivation. &nbsp;Moreover, the producers opined that the problem lies beneath the government&rsquo;s differentiation towards the onion production. &nbsp;&ldquo;Lack of resources in the country and support from government plays equal part in the particular problem,&rdquo; said the onion producers. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the statistics of TEPC, Nepal has been importing even more onion in recent days. In the FY 2071/72, Nepal imported more than 96.3 million kilograms onion worth more than Rs 3 billion.&nbsp; However, the quantity exceeds to 120 million kilograms worth Rs 3.26 billion in the FY 2072/73.&nbsp;</p>

The board issued the new amendment on April 10. The securities market regulator of the country slashed the service charge after receiving complaints of the service charge being high. Previously, general investors were charged at least Rs 100 to maximum Rs 250 service charge depending on the amount of investment.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&ldquo;The service charged has been deducted due to the complaints of it being high,&rdquo; said Neeraj Giri, Spokesperson of the board and Executive Director of Regulation Department. Exemplifying that some banks have given the services free of charge, he said, &ldquo;If any banks gives the service free of charge, they can do so. However, no BFIs can charge more than 100.&rdquo; After the amendment, issue manager can charge only Rs 10 as service charge which was previously Rs 15.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Spokesperson Giri, a total of 60 percent of the total issuance amount is being collected through ASBA mechanism in a very short period of ASBA implementation. &ldquo;It shows exciting participation of both investors and BFIs,&rdquo; Giri added. The amended guidelines also mentioned to expand the area of ASBA mechanism in all 75 districts by bringing state owned Banijya Bank into ASBA.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The credit extension was increased by 10.8 percent in the same period of the previous FY. In the review period, private sector credit from commercial banks and development banks increased by 17.6 percent and 6.5 percent respectively, while that of finance companies decreased by 3.6 percent, as per the report. On y-o-y basis, credit to the private sector from BFIs increased by 28.9 percent in mid-March 2017.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that credit to the agriculture sector increased by 8.5 percent, industrial production sector by 12.0 percent and construction sector by 17.9 percent. Similarly, the credit to wholesale and retail trade sector increased by 13.0 percent, service industries sector by 14.7 percent and transport, communication and public sector by 22.4 percent in the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the report, of the total outstanding credit of BFIs, 60.2 percent is against the collateral of land and building and 14.5 percent against the collateral of current assets (such as agricultural and nonagricultural products) in the review period.&nbsp; Such ratios were 59.7 percent and 13 percent respectively in the same period of the previous year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the report reveals that of the total lending of bank and financial institutions, the share of real estate (including personal home loan up to Rs 10 million) was 15.1 percent in mid-March 2017. Meanwhile, of the total lending of commercial banks, credit to small and medium enterprises was only 2.6 percent (Rs 42.69 billion) in mid-March 2017. Similarly, Trust Receipt (T.R.) loan extended by commercial banks increased 14.1 percent (Rs 10.23 billion) in the review period compared to an increase of 1.2 percent in the same period of the previous year.</p>

The report issued by Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC) suggests that Nepal has been importing onion from India and other countries. According to statistics of TEPC, Nepal imported onion worth Rs 2.44 billion within the first seven months of current fiscal year from countries including India, China, Thailand and Nicaragua.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report proves that the country is compelled to import onions from other countries despite of being able to cultivate it in its own land. &nbsp;According to the official of the center, billions of rupees are flowing out of the country in onion import.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&ldquo;The domestic production is not sufficient to meet the demand of the country resulting import unavoidable,&rdquo; said an official at the centre. &ldquo;Moreover, onion is imported in order to avoid price inflation caused by scarcity of onion due to low production,&rdquo; said stakeholders.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Although there is extreme potential in Nepal to produce onion in its own, it could not be done as per the demand. Meanwhile, onion producers complain that the cost of the production is quite high in onion cultivation. &nbsp;Moreover, the producers opined that the problem lies beneath the government&rsquo;s differentiation towards the onion production. &nbsp;&ldquo;Lack of resources in the country and support from government plays equal part in the particular problem,&rdquo; said the onion producers. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the statistics of TEPC, Nepal has been importing even more onion in recent days. In the FY 2071/72, Nepal imported more than 96.3 million kilograms onion worth more than Rs 3 billion.&nbsp; However, the quantity exceeds to 120 million kilograms worth Rs 3.26 billion in the FY 2072/73.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The credit extension was increased by 10.8 percent in the same period of the previous FY. In the review period, private sector credit from commercial banks and development banks increased by 17.6 percent and 6.5 percent respectively, while that of finance companies decreased by 3.6 percent, as per the report. On y-o-y basis, credit to the private sector from BFIs increased by 28.9 percent in mid-March 2017.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report shows that credit to the agriculture sector increased by 8.5 percent, industrial production sector by 12.0 percent and construction sector by 17.9 percent. Similarly, the credit to wholesale and retail trade sector increased by 13.0 percent, service industries sector by 14.7 percent and transport, communication and public sector by 22.4 percent in the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the report, of the total outstanding credit of BFIs, 60.2 percent is against the collateral of land and building and 14.5 percent against the collateral of current assets (such as agricultural and nonagricultural products) in the review period.&nbsp; Such ratios were 59.7 percent and 13 percent respectively in the same period of the previous year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the report reveals that of the total lending of bank and financial institutions, the share of real estate (including personal home loan up to Rs 10 million) was 15.1 percent in mid-March 2017. Meanwhile, of the total lending of commercial banks, credit to small and medium enterprises was only 2.6 percent (Rs 42.69 billion) in mid-March 2017. Similarly, Trust Receipt (T.R.) loan extended by commercial banks increased 14.1 percent (Rs 10.23 billion) in the review period compared to an increase of 1.2 percent in the same period of the previous year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The report proves that the country is compelled to import onions from other countries despite of being able to cultivate it in its own land. &nbsp;According to the official of the center, billions of rupees are flowing out of the country in onion import.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&ldquo;The domestic production is not sufficient to meet the demand of the country resulting import unavoidable,&rdquo; said an official at the centre. &ldquo;Moreover, onion is imported in order to avoid price inflation caused by scarcity of onion due to low production,&rdquo; said stakeholders.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Although there is extreme potential in Nepal to produce onion in its own, it could not be done as per the demand. Meanwhile, onion producers complain that the cost of the production is quite high in onion cultivation. &nbsp;Moreover, the producers opined that the problem lies beneath the government&rsquo;s differentiation towards the onion production. &nbsp;&ldquo;Lack of resources in the country and support from government plays equal part in the particular problem,&rdquo; said the onion producers. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the statistics of TEPC, Nepal has been importing even more onion in recent days. In the FY 2071/72, Nepal imported more than 96.3 million kilograms onion worth more than Rs 3 billion.&nbsp; However, the quantity exceeds to 120 million kilograms worth Rs 3.26 billion in the FY 2072/73.&nbsp;</p>
