<span style="font-size: 12px;">The government is engaging in the process of making the Nepali tourism industry and the private sector, as a whole, disaster resilient through necessary regulations and instruments. A half-day workshop on ‘Need of Disaster Preparedness in Tourism Industry’ was organised in the capital for the same. This is the second workshop of its kind where more than 100 participants from tourism industry participated and brainstormed on the theme. Addressing the workshop, US Ambassador to Nepal Peter W Bodde appreciated the effort of the government, and emphasized the significance of ‘Promoting Public Private Partnership for Earthquake Risk Management’ programme supported by USAID/OFDA. </span></div>

The half-day workshop was jointly organised by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Nepal-USA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NUSACCI), Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) and National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) with the support from USAID/OFDA and Tourism Industry Sector related Associations.</div>
