<p style="text-align: justify;">A meeting was held at the District Administration Office on Sunday between the workers, management, labour office and local political leaders which led to agreement between the two parties.&nbsp; According to the agreement, the factory management has agreed to reinstate seven workers who were suspended earlier. &ldquo;Moreover, further decision about providing a &lsquo;residential fund &lsquo;to the workers will be soon solved within one month,&rdquo; said Nawaraj Aryal, President of Makwanpur Industry Association.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The meeting was attended by Rajkumar Neupane, President of Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nawaraj Aryal, Makwanpur Industries Association. Similarly, &nbsp;Abhijeet Mukhopadhyaya, Manager of Unilever Industry, Sumit Dhar, HR Manager of Unilever Industry, Shyam Shrestha, Hetauda Labor Office Chief were also presented in the meeting. <p style="text-align: justify;">&ldquo;The strike ended with an agreement that the workers won&rsquo;t be allowed to strike for next two years,&rdquo; said President Aryal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Earlier, the management informed about the industrial closure through a notice on Sunday morning. According to Mukhopadhyaya, it will take some time for resuming the factory to normal operation. &ldquo; We expect a direction from the headquarter by this Thursday,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The workers had been holding the strike since last 28 days blaming the management of breaking the three point agreement which had taken place on May 29.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The management of Unilever said the company has to face a loss of Rs five million in one day closure. Established in 1993, the factory produces products like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, surf. It has provided employment to round 208 workers. &nbsp;</p>

Currently NTC sells the recharge cards of Rs 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000. Basing on the Rs 100 to the average daily recharge, recharge of Rs 140 millions could not be made in these two days time.</p>

<p>According to Sub-Spokesperson of NTC Dilli Prasad Adhikari, users recharge their phones with NT recharge card at the average of 700,000 times a day. According to the telecommunication company, the problem has been solved after 3 PM on Sunday. However, due to the high pressure on system resulted by two days halt users were not able to recharge easily till the evening on Sunday. &ldquo;The recharge system will start to become normal from Monday (August 8),&rdquo; informed Adhikari.</p>

<p>NTC users recharge their phones at an average of Rs 250 per person per month. As per this statistic, the company earns Rs 16.66 per user in one day. This clearly shows that, NTC has lost the income of Rs 23.324 million from its 1.4 million subscribers in two day.</p>

			'content' => '<p>August 7: The Supreme Court today has dismissed the writ petition of Nepal Investment Bank Limited Chairman Prithivi Bahadur Pandey. Pandey and Upendra Keshari Poudel, former Chief Currency Officer of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) jointly filed a writ on Mangsir 2071 asking for the court&rsquo;s order to stop the handover of bank details to Australian Federal Police (AFP) on the polymer note scandal. Citing a large scale corruption on the printing of polymer notes, the Australian government had requested the Government of Nepal to provide bank details and other related information of those involved through diplomatic channels earlier. &nbsp;&nbsp;Issuing an order, the joint bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Ishwor Khatiwada stated that it is appropriate for Nepal to provide such information and details to Australia fulfilling the obligations of United Nations Convention Against Corruption, 2003 along with other international conventions for the prevention of organised crime as both countries are signatories of the convention. The Supreme Court in its order further stated that handover of such details do not violate the writ petitioner&rsquo;s right to privacy and other rights guaranteed by the constitution. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the investigation of the AFP, Note Printing Australia (NPA) through its agents Prithivi Bahadur Pandey and his brother Himalaya Pandey bribed high officials of NRB in order to get the contract of printing of Rs 10 polymer notes. The alleged former Australian officials of the NPA are facing court cases at present. The Australian government had asked for the bank account details of the involved Nepalis in this regard.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier, Kathmandu District Court had approved to handover the bank account details to the Australian Government. Following the approval, NRB issued a circular asking all banks to provide bank details of all the alleged individuals. After which, Pandey and Poudel jointly filed the writ against the District Court&rsquo;s decision in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had initially ordered not to implement the district court&rsquo;s decision for the time being. The writ applicants had mentioned that their bank account details are confidential matters claiming that handover of such details to another country would violate their fundamental rights.</p>

<p>As per the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, the confidentiality of bank account details is not absolute but is subjected to regulation through legal processes and does not contradict Section 79 of Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2063. &nbsp;The Court also concluded that Nepal should send the requested assistance due to the diplomatic relations of Australia with Nepal.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, experts believe that the decision will have long lasting significance as the issue is related with money laundering. According to the lawyers well known to the matter,the&nbsp;issue is not only related to&nbsp;Australia. As the high&nbsp;government officials of Nepal have taken bribes through&nbsp;Nepali citizens, Nepal should conduct the separate investigation on the matter, they say. Commission for the investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had already taken clarifications from the related individuals on the matter. However, CIAA stopped the investigation citing the issue was pending in the court. With the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, CIAA and other investigation department related with corruption are opened to investigate the further on the issue.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">A meeting was held at the District Administration Office on Sunday between the workers, management, labour office and local political leaders which led to agreement between the two parties.&nbsp; According to the agreement, the factory management has agreed to reinstate seven workers who were suspended earlier. &ldquo;Moreover, further decision about providing a &lsquo;residential fund &lsquo;to the workers will be soon solved within one month,&rdquo; said Nawaraj Aryal, President of Makwanpur Industry Association.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The meeting was attended by Rajkumar Neupane, President of Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nawaraj Aryal, Makwanpur Industries Association. Similarly, &nbsp;Abhijeet Mukhopadhyaya, Manager of Unilever Industry, Sumit Dhar, HR Manager of Unilever Industry, Shyam Shrestha, Hetauda Labor Office Chief were also presented in the meeting. Likewise, &nbsp;Trade Union representatives Lal Krishna Pyakurel, Jayram Dhital and Janga Bahadur Bika also participated the meeting.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&ldquo;The strike ended with an agreement that the workers won&rsquo;t be allowed to strike for next two years,&rdquo; said President Aryal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Earlier, the management informed about the industrial closure through a notice on Sunday morning. According to Mukhopadhyaya, it will take some time for resuming the factory to normal operation. &ldquo; We expect a direction from the headquarter by this Thursday,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The workers had been holding the strike since last 28 days blaming the management of breaking the three point agreement which had taken place on May 29.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The management of Unilever said the company has to face a loss of Rs five million in one day closure. Established in 1993, the factory produces products like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, surf. It has provided employment to round 208 workers. &nbsp;</p>

However, due to the high pressure on system resulted by two days halt users were not able to recharge easily till the evening on Sunday. &ldquo;The recharge system will start to become normal from Monday (August 8),&rdquo; informed Adhikari.</p>

<p>NTC users recharge their phones at an average of Rs 250 per person per month. As per this statistic, the company earns Rs 16.66 per user in one day. This clearly shows that, NTC has lost the income of Rs 23.324 million from its 1.4 million subscribers in two day.</p>

Pandey and Upendra Keshari Poudel, former Chief Currency Officer of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) jointly filed a writ on Mangsir 2071 asking for the court&rsquo;s order to stop the handover of bank details to Australian Federal Police (AFP) on the polymer note scandal. Citing a large scale corruption on the printing of polymer notes, the Australian government had requested the Government of Nepal to provide bank details and other related information of those involved through diplomatic channels earlier. &nbsp;&nbsp;Issuing an order, the joint bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Ishwor Khatiwada stated that it is appropriate for Nepal to provide such information and details to Australia fulfilling the obligations of United Nations Convention Against Corruption, 2003 along with other international conventions for the prevention of organised crime as both countries are signatories of the convention. The Supreme Court in its order further stated that handover of such details do not violate the writ petitioner&rsquo;s right to privacy and other rights guaranteed by the constitution. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the investigation of the AFP, Note Printing Australia (NPA) through its agents Prithivi Bahadur Pandey and his brother Himalaya Pandey bribed high officials of NRB in order to get the contract of printing of Rs 10 polymer notes. The alleged former Australian officials of the NPA are facing court cases at present. The Australian government had asked for the bank account details of the involved Nepalis in this regard.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier, Kathmandu District Court had approved to handover the bank account details to the Australian Government. Following the approval, NRB issued a circular asking all banks to provide bank details of all the alleged individuals. After which, Pandey and Poudel jointly filed the writ against the District Court&rsquo;s decision in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had initially ordered not to implement the district court&rsquo;s decision for the time being. The writ applicants had mentioned that their bank account details are confidential matters claiming that handover of such details to another country would violate their fundamental rights.</p>

<p>As per the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, the confidentiality of bank account details is not absolute but is subjected to regulation through legal processes and does not contradict Section 79 of Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2063. &nbsp;The Court also concluded that Nepal should send the requested assistance due to the diplomatic relations of Australia with Nepal.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, experts believe that the decision will have long lasting significance as the issue is related with money laundering. According to the lawyers well known to the matter,the&nbsp;issue is not only related to&nbsp;Australia. As the high&nbsp;government officials of Nepal have taken bribes through&nbsp;Nepali citizens, Nepal should conduct the separate investigation on the matter, they say. Commission for the investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had already taken clarifications from the related individuals on the matter. However, CIAA stopped the investigation citing the issue was pending in the court. With the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, CIAA and other investigation department related with corruption are opened to investigate the further on the issue.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">A meeting was held at the District Administration Office on Sunday between the workers, management, labour office and local political leaders which led to agreement between the two parties.&nbsp; According to the agreement, the factory management has agreed to reinstate seven workers who were suspended earlier. &ldquo;Moreover, further decision about providing a &lsquo;residential fund &lsquo;to the workers will be soon solved within one month,&rdquo; said Nawaraj Aryal, President of Makwanpur Industry Association.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The meeting was attended by Rajkumar Neupane, President of Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nawaraj Aryal, Makwanpur Industries Association. <p>According to Sub-Spokesperson of NTC Dilli Prasad Adhikari, users recharge their phones with NT recharge card at the average of 700,000 times a day. According to the telecommunication company, the problem has been solved after 3 PM on Sunday. However, due to the high pressure on system resulted by two days halt users were not able to recharge easily till the evening on Sunday. &ldquo;The recharge system will start to become normal from Monday (August 8),&rdquo; informed Adhikari.</p>

<p>NTC users recharge their phones at an average of Rs 250 per person per month. As per this statistic, the company earns Rs 16.66 per user in one day. This clearly shows that, NTC has lost the income of Rs 23.324 million from its 1.4 million subscribers in two day.</p>

Pandey and Upendra Keshari Poudel, former Chief Currency Officer of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) jointly filed a writ on Mangsir 2071 asking for the court&rsquo;s order to stop the handover of bank details to Australian Federal Police (AFP) on the polymer note scandal. Citing a large scale corruption on the printing of polymer notes, the Australian government had requested the Government of Nepal to provide bank details and other related information of those involved through diplomatic channels earlier. &nbsp;&nbsp;Issuing an order, the joint bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Ishwor Khatiwada stated that it is appropriate for Nepal to provide such information and details to Australia fulfilling the obligations of United Nations Convention Against Corruption, 2003 along with other international conventions for the prevention of organised crime as both countries are signatories of the convention. The Supreme Court in its order further stated that handover of such details do not violate the writ petitioner&rsquo;s right to privacy and other rights guaranteed by the constitution. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the investigation of the AFP, Note Printing Australia (NPA) through its agents Prithivi Bahadur Pandey and his brother Himalaya Pandey bribed high officials of NRB in order to get the contract of printing of Rs 10 polymer notes. The alleged former Australian officials of the NPA are facing court cases at present. The Australian government had asked for the bank account details of the involved Nepalis in this regard.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier, Kathmandu District Court had approved to handover the bank account details to the Australian Government. Following the approval, NRB issued a circular asking all banks to provide bank details of all the alleged individuals. After which, Pandey and Poudel jointly filed the writ against the District Court&rsquo;s decision in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had initially ordered not to implement the district court&rsquo;s decision for the time being. The writ applicants had mentioned that their bank account details are confidential matters claiming that handover of such details to another country would violate their fundamental rights.</p>

<p>As per the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, the confidentiality of bank account details is not absolute but is subjected to regulation through legal processes and does not contradict Section 79 of Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2063. &nbsp;The Court also concluded that Nepal should send the requested assistance due to the diplomatic relations of Australia with Nepal.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, experts believe that the decision will have long lasting significance as the issue is related with money laundering. According to the lawyers well known to the matter,the&nbsp;issue is not only related to&nbsp;Australia. As the high&nbsp;government officials of Nepal have taken bribes through&nbsp;Nepali citizens, Nepal should conduct the separate investigation on the matter, they say. Commission for the investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had already taken clarifications from the related individuals on the matter. However, CIAA stopped the investigation citing the issue was pending in the court. With the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, CIAA and other investigation department related with corruption are opened to investigate the further on the issue.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">President Murarka also requested PM Dahal to solve the problems raised by private sectors as they will make contribution to economical development, employment generation, revenue and prosper industrial/business sector in the country. On the occasion, Murarka said that private sector is ready to collaborate with the government. He also committed to provide full support to the new government in order to bring the economic development.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">A meeting was held at the District Administration Office on Sunday between the workers, management, labour office and local political leaders which led to agreement between the two parties.&nbsp; According to the agreement, the factory management has agreed to reinstate seven workers who were suspended earlier. &ldquo;Moreover, further decision about providing a &lsquo;residential fund &lsquo;to the workers will be soon solved within one month,&rdquo; said Nawaraj Aryal, President of Makwanpur Industry Association.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The meeting was attended by Rajkumar Neupane, President of Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nawaraj Aryal, Makwanpur Industries Association. Similarly, &nbsp;Abhijeet Mukhopadhyaya, Manager of Unilever Industry, Sumit Dhar, HR Manager of Unilever Industry, Shyam Shrestha, Hetauda Labor Office Chief were also presented in the meeting. <p style="text-align: justify;">Earlier, the management informed about the industrial closure through a notice on Sunday morning. According to Mukhopadhyaya, it will take some time for resuming the factory to normal operation. &ldquo; We expect a direction from the headquarter by this Thursday,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The workers had been holding the strike since last 28 days blaming the management of breaking the three point agreement which had taken place on May 29.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The management of Unilever said the company has to face a loss of Rs five million in one day closure. Established in 1993, the factory produces products like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, surf. It has provided employment to round 208 workers. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The education fair that is going to be organised under the support of Malaysian Embassy has aimed to provide information about Malaysian education system to Nepali students.&nbsp; Umesh Adhikari, the Managing Director of Study Plus Pvt Ltd said that the representatives from Malaysian universities will be participating in the education fair. &quot;Nepali students can directly interact with them and get informed about the education system and services available to them,&quot; he added.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">As a scheme, the student will get scholarship and discounts up to 50 percent if they participate in the education fair. &quot;The students will be provided information about the education and skill development system in Malaysia through the seminar that will be held during the education fair,&quot; says Adhikari.&nbsp; According to him, around 2,000 students had participated in the education fair last year. Organiser expects that more than 2000 visitors will be visiting the education fair.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The group of entrepreneurs under the leadership of Hari Bhakta Sharma, President of CNI informed PM about the present economic condition of Nepal in his official residence at Baluwatar. In the meeting, CNI suggested the government to increase capital expenditure, invest in infrastructures and minimize business losses in order to achieve the target of 6.5 percent economic growth rate for the current FY. Similarly, the confederation suggested the government to prioritise to increase employment opportunities and construction and renovation in 14 districts affected by the earthquake. Speaking in the meeting, PM Dahal said that the policy of coordinating with the private sector will be continued for economic reform of the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The delegates of CNI also held the meeting with Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the newly elected Finance Minister in his office. <p style="text-align: justify;">In the meeting, President Sharma urged Mahara to endorse all types of rules and regulations related to industrial and commercial sectors. Sharma also pointed out the requirements of formulating acts such as anti dumping and countervailing. According to Mahara, there is need of increment in gross savings to create investment friendly environment in the country. Issuing a press statement, &nbsp;the confederation informed that the government has committed to collaborate with private sector in order to build a prosperous nation. &nbsp;</p>

Currently NTC sells the recharge cards of Rs 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000. Basing on the Rs 100 to the average daily recharge, recharge of Rs 140 millions could not be made in these two days time.</p>

<p>According to Sub-Spokesperson of NTC Dilli Prasad Adhikari, users recharge their phones with NT recharge card at the average of 700,000 times a day. According to the telecommunication company, the problem has been solved after 3 PM on Sunday. However, due to the high pressure on system resulted by two days halt users were not able to recharge easily till the evening on Sunday. &ldquo;The recharge system will start to become normal from Monday (August 8),&rdquo; informed Adhikari.</p>

<p>NTC users recharge their phones at an average of Rs 250 per person per month. As per this statistic, the company earns Rs 16.66 per user in one day. This clearly shows that, NTC has lost the income of Rs 23.324 million from its 1.4 million subscribers in two day.</p>

Pandey and Upendra Keshari Poudel, former Chief Currency Officer of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) jointly filed a writ on Mangsir 2071 asking for the court&rsquo;s order to stop the handover of bank details to Australian Federal Police (AFP) on the polymer note scandal. Citing a large scale corruption on the printing of polymer notes, the Australian government had requested the Government of Nepal to provide bank details and other related information of those involved through diplomatic channels earlier. &nbsp;&nbsp;Issuing an order, the joint bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Ishwor Khatiwada stated that it is appropriate for Nepal to provide such information and details to Australia fulfilling the obligations of United Nations Convention Against Corruption, 2003 along with other international conventions for the prevention of organised crime as both countries are signatories of the convention. The Supreme Court in its order further stated that handover of such details do not violate the writ petitioner&rsquo;s right to privacy and other rights guaranteed by the constitution. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the investigation of the AFP, Note Printing Australia (NPA) through its agents Prithivi Bahadur Pandey and his brother Himalaya Pandey bribed high officials of NRB in order to get the contract of printing of Rs 10 polymer notes. The alleged former Australian officials of the NPA are facing court cases at present. The Australian government had asked for the bank account details of the involved Nepalis in this regard.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier, Kathmandu District Court had approved to handover the bank account details to the Australian Government. Following the approval, NRB issued a circular asking all banks to provide bank details of all the alleged individuals. After which, Pandey and Poudel jointly filed the writ against the District Court&rsquo;s decision in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had initially ordered not to implement the district court&rsquo;s decision for the time being. The writ applicants had mentioned that their bank account details are confidential matters claiming that handover of such details to another country would violate their fundamental rights.</p>

<p>As per the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, the confidentiality of bank account details is not absolute but is subjected to regulation through legal processes and does not contradict Section 79 of Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2063. &nbsp;The Court also concluded that Nepal should send the requested assistance due to the diplomatic relations of Australia with Nepal.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, experts believe that the decision will have long lasting significance as the issue is related with money laundering. According to the lawyers well known to the matter,the&nbsp;issue is not only related to&nbsp;Australia. As the high&nbsp;government officials of Nepal have taken bribes through&nbsp;Nepali citizens, Nepal should conduct the separate investigation on the matter, they say. Commission for the investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had already taken clarifications from the related individuals on the matter. However, CIAA stopped the investigation citing the issue was pending in the court. With the Supreme Court&rsquo;s latest decision, CIAA and other investigation department related with corruption are opened to investigate the further on the issue.</p>
