Participants from Nepal won five out six awards in division level humourous and evaluation speech contests in New Delhi. Out of 11 contestants, five contestants from two areas of Nepal won trophies in humuorous and evaluation contests.</p>

<p>Both the 1st position winners of humorous speech from Nepal, Toastmaster Seema Golchha and evaluation contest winner Toastmaster Diptee Acharya, proceeded to district level contest, in which 12 divisions from across India contested for the awards. In the finals, Seema Golchha finished second and bagged silver trophy.</p>

<p>&quot;In the history of Toastmasters movement in Nepal, this is the first time contestants participated in any international contests and have left a memorable impression,&quot; said Area Director Suman Shakya after the contests results.</p>

Although the total export during the review period grew by 7.7 in FY 2016/17, the total export increased by only 3 percent in the current FY.</span></p>

<p>The total export in the last FY was Rs 73.4 billion while the export in the first two months was worth Rs 13.18 billion. The export in the first two months of the current FY increased to Rs 13.58 billion. &nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the rate of export has declined, according to a report prepared by Nepal Rastra Bank. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has concluded that it is difficult to increase the rate of export in the current context.</p>

<p>Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that it is almost impossible to increase the rate of export in the present context.</p>

<p>Economists say that the decline in rate of export would have negative impact in the country&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, chief of the economics department of Bhairahawa Multiple Campus under Tribhuvan University opined that Nepal should export goods at a higher price to increase the rate of export.</p>

<p>Data show that Nepal exported goods worth Rs 7.13 billion out of the total export of Rs 13.58 billion to India. But this amount is less by 3.3 percent compared to the export during the review period in the last FY. &nbsp;</p>

<p>This is the second consecutive year that MetLife Asia is being recognized for innovation, consolidating its position as a leader in innovation, reads the statement. Last year, the company won this category with its insurance product &ldquo;Beautiful&rdquo;.</p>

Our solution conVRse is a huge first step that our customers love.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The company said that this is the first time that virtual reality is being used in the insurance industry to benefit the customers directly.</p>

<p>The platform provides a differentiated, immersive and a personalized experience to the customer through VR headsets available at select PNB MetLife branches.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the company, the VR headset brings customers face to face with an avatar &ldquo;Khushi&rdquo;.&nbsp; Khushi is a life insurance expert who can show customers all their policy related information while answering their queries.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;The initial response from PNB MetLife customers has been exceptional; 96% say it has had a positive impact on their brand experience,&rdquo; the statement reads.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Pushkar Bajracharya, professor emeritus at the Faculty of Management of TU, highlighted importance of business management education in every sector.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Likewise, Dr Arhan Sthapit of the Faculty of Management at TU stated that local products from micro enterprises can uplift the economic development by using local knowledge and skills.</p>

<p>Discussions were held on different thematic areas of micro enterprise such as the roles of micro enterprises in Nepal&rsquo;s development efforts. Social innovation for sustainable development in Nepal, role of NGOs and INGOs and role of MBA programmes in Nepal&rsquo;s development efforts were also discussed at the summit.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, the India-Nepal economic programme has an outlay of over NRs 76 billion with more than 554 large and small development projects completed or currently being implemented all across Nepal in cooperation with the Government of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These development projects mainly focus in education, health and infrastructure development sectors recognizing and responding to local needs to help the Government of Nepal achieve all inclusive socio-economic developments.</p>

<p>Both the 1st position winners of humorous speech from Nepal, Toastmaster Seema Golchha and evaluation contest winner Toastmaster Diptee Acharya, proceeded to district level contest, in which 12 divisions from across India contested for the awards. Although the total export during the review period grew by 7.7 in FY 2016/17, the total export increased by only 3 percent in the current FY.</span></p>

<p>The total export in the last FY was Rs 73.4 billion while the export in the first two months was worth Rs 13.18 billion. The export in the first two months of the current FY increased to Rs 13.58 billion. &nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the rate of export has declined, according to a report prepared by Nepal Rastra Bank. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has concluded that it is difficult to increase the rate of export in the current context.</p>

<p>Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that it is almost impossible to increase the rate of export in the present context.</p>

<p>Economists say that the decline in rate of export would have negative impact in the country&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, chief of the economics department of Bhairahawa Multiple Campus under Tribhuvan University opined that Nepal should export goods at a higher price to increase the rate of export.</p>

<p>Data show that Nepal exported goods worth Rs 7.13 billion out of the total export of Rs 13.58 billion to India. But this amount is less by 3.3 percent compared to the export during the review period in the last FY. &nbsp;</p>

These projects include school buildings, dharmshala at Muktinath Temple, renovation of community hall at Jharkot, Muktinath, water supply project at Muknith, and river protection work at Kagbeni, according to the embassy.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, the India-Nepal economic programme has an outlay of over NRs 76 billion with more than 554 large and small development projects completed or currently being implemented all across Nepal in cooperation with the Government of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These development projects mainly focus in education, health and infrastructure development sectors recognizing and responding to local needs to help the Government of Nepal achieve all inclusive socio-economic developments.</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, the Indian Embassy said that the new building constructed with India&rsquo;s grant assistance of NRs 2.65 crores would facilitate better learning environment to approximately 1,000 students of the school that was established in 1979 as a lower secondary school and was subsequently upgraded to secondary level in 1995.</p>

<p>The school is providing free education to indigenous students from the tribal areas of Dhanusha and adjoining districts, reads the press statement.</p>

<p>Till date, seven Government of India (GOI)-aided projects worth NRs 16.66 crores have been completed in Dhanusha district, according to the Indian Embassy. These projects include school, library, museum buildings, bridges and roads.</p>

<p>Eleven more projects including school buildings, roads and bridges etc are being constructed with GOI assistance of NRs 31.13 crores, the embassy informed. Apart from this, 29 ambulances and 5 buses have been donated to various organisations in Dhanusha district.</p>

Participants from Nepal won five out six awards in division level humourous and evaluation speech contests in New Delhi. <p>Both the 1st position winners of humorous speech from Nepal, Toastmaster Seema Golchha and evaluation contest winner Toastmaster Diptee Acharya, proceeded to district level contest, in which 12 divisions from across India contested for the awards. In the finals, Seema Golchha finished second and bagged silver trophy.</p>

Although the total export during the review period grew by 7.7 in FY 2016/17, the total export increased by only 3 percent in the current FY.</span></p>

<p>The total export in the last FY was Rs 73.4 billion while the export in the first two months was worth Rs 13.18 billion. The export in the first two months of the current FY increased to Rs 13.58 billion. &nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the rate of export has declined, according to a report prepared by Nepal Rastra Bank. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has concluded that it is difficult to increase the rate of export in the current context.</p>

<p>Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that it is almost impossible to increase the rate of export in the present context.</p>

<p>Economists say that the decline in rate of export would have negative impact in the country&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, chief of the economics department of Bhairahawa Multiple Campus under Tribhuvan University opined that Nepal should export goods at a higher price to increase the rate of export.</p>

<p>Data show that Nepal exported goods worth Rs 7.13 billion out of the total export of Rs 13.58 billion to India. But this amount is less by 3.3 percent compared to the export during the review period in the last FY. &nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the company, the VR headset brings customers face to face with an avatar &ldquo;Khushi&rdquo;.&nbsp; Khushi is a life insurance expert who can show customers all their policy related information while answering their queries.&nbsp;</p>

With the formal inauguration of the three new branches, the bank is currently providing services to its valuable customers through 133 branches and 141 ATM counters, spread all over the country, the statement said.</p>

<p>Till date, ten GOI-aided projects worth NRs 25.77 crores have been completed in Mustang district. These projects include school buildings, dharmshala at Muktinath Temple, renovation of community hall at Jharkot, Muktinath, water supply project at Muknith, and river protection work at Kagbeni, according to the embassy.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, the India-Nepal economic programme has an outlay of over NRs 76 billion with more than 554 large and small development projects completed or currently being implemented all across Nepal in cooperation with the Government of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These development projects mainly focus in education, health and infrastructure development sectors recognizing and responding to local needs to help the Government of Nepal achieve all inclusive socio-economic developments.</p>

<p>The school is providing free education to indigenous students from the tribal areas of Dhanusha and adjoining districts, reads the press statement.</p>

<p>Till date, seven Government of India (GOI)-aided projects worth NRs 16.66 crores have been completed in Dhanusha district, according to the Indian Embassy. These projects include school, library, museum buildings, bridges and roads.</p>

<p>Eleven more projects including school buildings, roads and bridges etc are being constructed with GOI assistance of NRs 31.13 crores, the embassy informed. Apart from this, 29 ambulances and 5 buses have been donated to various organisations in Dhanusha district.</p>

<p>The total export in the last FY was Rs 73.4 billion while the export in the first two months was worth Rs 13.18 billion. The export in the first two months of the current FY increased to Rs 13.58 billion. &nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the rate of export has declined, according to a report prepared by Nepal Rastra Bank. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has concluded that it is difficult to increase the rate of export in the current context.</p>

<p>Finance Secretary Shankar Adhikari said that it is almost impossible to increase the rate of export in the present context.</p>

<p>Economists say that the decline in rate of export would have negative impact in the country&rsquo;s economy.</p>

<p>Dr Shankar Prasad Nepal, chief of the economics department of Bhairahawa Multiple Campus under Tribhuvan University opined that Nepal should export goods at a higher price to increase the rate of export.</p>

<p>Data show that Nepal exported goods worth Rs 7.13 billion out of the total export of Rs 13.58 billion to India. But this amount is less by 3.3 percent compared to the export during the review period in the last FY. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Micro Enterprise and Development in Nepal (MEDIN) Summit-2017 jointly organized by Handong Global University, South Korea and School of Management, Tribhuvan University (SOMTU) in the capital on November 5 held discussions on different thematic areas of micro enterprises. The programme was sponsored by the Ministry of Education of South Korea, UNESCO and UNITWIN.</p>

<p>The summit was organized with an aim to initiate and promote multi-stakeholder discussions among academic circles, public policy makers, civil society leaders, development institutes, entrepreneurs and development agencies. Similarly, the summit also showcased the best Nepali and international practices on microenterprise development in the context of socio-economic development of Nepal.</p>

<p>Speaking at the function, Prof Kee-Seon Yoo, dean of School of Management and Economics and director of Joint International Education Program, Handong Global University, said that management knowledge and skills are important for managing social development of the country.</p>

<p>Pushkar Bajracharya, professor emeritus at the Faculty of Management of TU, highlighted importance of business management education in every sector.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Likewise, Dr Arhan Sthapit of the Faculty of Management at TU stated that local products from micro enterprises can uplift the economic development by using local knowledge and skills.</p>

<p>Discussions were held on different thematic areas of micro enterprise such as the roles of micro enterprises in Nepal&rsquo;s development efforts. Social innovation for sustainable development in Nepal, role of NGOs and INGOs and role of MBA programmes in Nepal&rsquo;s development efforts were also discussed at the summit.</p>

<p>NIC ASIA Bank said it is one of the largest private sector commercial banks in the country in terms of capital base, balance-sheet size, customer base, number of branch and ATM network. With the formal inauguration of the three new branches, the bank is currently providing services to its valuable customers through 133 branches and 141 ATM counters, spread all over the country, the statement said.</p>

<p>The bank said it has a strategy to reach every possible market for better service of its customers and there are more branches coming in operation soon.</p>

The newly constructed RCC bridge not only provides direct motorable connectivity to the local people of Mustang but also benefits thousands of tourists and pilgrims visiting Muktinath temple and other parts of upper Mustang for trekking,&rdquo; reads the statement.</p>

<p>Till date, ten GOI-aided projects worth NRs 25.77 crores have been completed in Mustang district. These projects include school buildings, dharmshala at Muktinath Temple, renovation of community hall at Jharkot, Muktinath, water supply project at Muknith, and river protection work at Kagbeni, according to the embassy.</p>

<p>According to the embassy, the India-Nepal economic programme has an outlay of over NRs 76 billion with more than 554 large and small development projects completed or currently being implemented all across Nepal in cooperation with the Government of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These development projects mainly focus in education, health and infrastructure development sectors recognizing and responding to local needs to help the Government of Nepal achieve all inclusive socio-economic developments.</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, the Indian Embassy said that the new building constructed with India&rsquo;s grant assistance of NRs 2.65 crores would facilitate better learning environment to approximately 1,000 students of the school that was established in 1979 as a lower secondary school and was subsequently upgraded to secondary level in 1995.</p>

<p>The school is providing free education to indigenous students from the tribal areas of Dhanusha and adjoining districts, reads the press statement.</p>

<p>Till date, seven Government of India (GOI)-aided projects worth NRs 16.66 crores have been completed in Dhanusha district, according to the Indian Embassy. These projects include school, library, museum buildings, bridges and roads.</p>

<p>Eleven more projects including school buildings, roads and bridges etc are being constructed with GOI assistance of NRs 31.13 crores, the embassy informed. Apart from this, 29 ambulances and 5 buses have been donated to various organisations in Dhanusha district.</p>
