Likewise, Waste Recyclers received cash prize of Rs 40,000 for the theme renewable energy and&nbsp;&nbsp; Whpedia won cash prize of Rs 50,000 as jury&rsquo;s special selection.</p>

<p>Gokarna Bista, minister for Labour, Employment and Security, inaugurated the programme by pouring water on plants. Speaking at the programme, Bista said that one of the components of entrepreneurship that Nepal lacks is investment.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The main challenge in Nepal is unemployment. To solve this problem, youths should opt for entrepreneurship,&rdquo; said Bista.</p>

<p>He further highlighted the importance of economic development through entrepreneurship and expressed his support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</p>

<p>Speaking at the programme, Ashutosh Tiwari, founder and managing director of Safal Partners, said entrepreneurship is about continuous learning for which learning attitude is important.</p>

<p>Ten companies namely Naya Jagir, Tiffin Express, Waste Recyclers, Titepati, Krishima Yuwa, Your Agricultural Product, Whpedia, Hariyo Paat Sabaiko Saath, Hamro Pathshala and Revive presented their business plans in the pitching session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Managing director of a private company named SmartPaani, Suman Shakya, who is also a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur said being an entrepreneur is not easy but it is a choice.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

<p>YSBC has been organising social business challenge since the last three years.</p>

<p>Nirmala Panta, a thirteen-year-old girl of Bhimdutta Municipality was found murdered after rape on July 26, and the locals were in a protest demanding that the culprit behind the heinous crime be identified, tried and brought to justice. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Following intense public pressure, police had arrested one Dilip Singh Bista on August 20 for his alleged involvement in the crime. The locals, however, had continued their protest alleging that Bista was framed by the police and falsely charged for the crime.</p>

<p>The law and order situation in Kanchanpur deteriorated after locals of Kanchanpur came out on the street demanding arrest of the real culprit on August 23 when police reportedly fired &quot;hundreds&quot; of rounds of tear gas shells and several rounds of aerial shots to contain the crowd. The local administration had later imposed the night time curfew.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Amnesty International Nepal is deeply troubled by the deteriorating law and order situation in Kanchanpur and urges the local administration to exercise maximum possible restraint while enforcing laws to calm the situation. We also urge the protestors to respect the rule of law and resort to peaceful means of protests,&rdquo; the watchdog said in a statement.</p>

<p>&quot;The incident resulting in the death of Sunny Khuna and injuries of twenty four others on August 24 due to the police firing is deeply disturbing,&quot; said Nirajan Thapaliya, director of Amnesty International Nepal.</p>

<p>&quot;We urge the authorities and law-enforcement officials in Nepal to only resort to a legitimate use of force, and always adhere to the <em>UN Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms</em> which requires officials to apply non-violent means before resorting to the use of force and firearms. The <em>Basic Principles</em> allows the use of force and firearms only if other means remain ineffective or without any promise of achieving the intended result.&quot;</p>

<p>Amnesty International also urge the authorities to carry out independent and impartial inquiry into the event leading to the violence on August 24, and to provide prompt and effective redress and justice to the victims and their families.&nbsp;</p>

All such transactions are processed directly from the bank accounts and do not require any intermediary,&rdquo; reads a statement issued by NCHL.</p>

<p>According to NCHL,<em>&nbsp;connect</em>IPS e-Payment System has already been subscribed by 35 banks and financial institutions among which 28 are already in operation.</p>

Deliberating on the realities and future priorities for the Bay of Bengal region in a talk programme entitled BIMSTEC: Connecting South and Southeast Asia, Gyawali stressed on the need for sustainable development of various sectors including trade and transit, digital networking, infrastructure and free trade.</p>

<p>Gyawali reminded that the fourth BIMSTEC Summit is being organised next week with the theme &lsquo;Towards a Peaceful, Prosperous and Sustainable Bay of Bengal Region&rsquo;.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nearly one-fourth of the world&rsquo;s population lives in this region. The size of the economy of this region is over 3 trillion and is growing annually at 6.5 percent. This is an evidence of the vast opportunities BIMSTEC possesses for greater regional cooperation and collaboration,&rdquo; says Gyawali.</p>

<p>Gywali mentioned that the BIMSTEC member states have to tackle the old and new problems through regional cooperation. He said that poverty, inequality, unemployment and disease are some of the old problems while climate change, terrorism and transnational organised crimes are the new challenges.</p>

<p>&ldquo;These challenges cannot effectively be addressed through isolated domestic intervention alone.&nbsp; Therefore, we must find collective and coordinated response to our challenges and problems,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>BIMSTEC is organised with a vision to bridge the gap between South and Southeast Asia. At present, South Asia has 1.7 billion population with USD 3.3 trillion GDP while Southeast Asia has a population of 642 million with a total GDP of USD 2.76 trillion.</p>

<p>According to Gyawali, this summit will prioritize 16 working sectors. Till now, BIMSTEC has been working in various sectors including trade and investment, technology, energy, transportation and communication, tourism, fishery, cultural cooperatives, environment and disaster management, public health, poverty alleviation, terrorism and international crime and climate change.</p>

<p>Gokarna Bista, minister for Labour, Employment and Security, inaugurated the programme by pouring water on plants. Speaking at the programme, Bista said that one of the components of entrepreneurship that Nepal lacks is investment.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The main challenge in Nepal is unemployment. To solve this problem, youths should opt for entrepreneurship,&rdquo; said Bista.</p>

<p>He further highlighted the importance of economic development through entrepreneurship and expressed his support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</p>

<p>Speaking at the programme, Ashutosh Tiwari, founder and managing director of Safal Partners, said entrepreneurship is about continuous learning for which learning attitude is important.</p>

<p>Ten companies namely Naya Jagir, Tiffin Express, Waste Recyclers, Titepati, Krishima Yuwa, Your Agricultural Product, Whpedia, Hariyo Paat Sabaiko Saath, Hamro Pathshala and Revive presented their business plans in the pitching session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Managing director of a private company named SmartPaani, Suman Shakya, who is also a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur said being an entrepreneur is not easy but it is a choice.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

<p>YSBC has been organising social business challenge since the last three years.</p>

<p>Nirmala Panta, a thirteen-year-old girl of Bhimdutta Municipality was found murdered after rape on July 26, and the locals were in a protest demanding that the culprit behind the heinous crime be identified, tried and brought to justice. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Following intense public pressure, police had arrested one Dilip Singh Bista on August 20 for his alleged involvement in the crime. The locals, however, had continued their protest alleging that Bista was framed by the police and falsely charged for the crime.</p>

<p>The law and order situation in Kanchanpur deteriorated after locals of Kanchanpur came out on the street demanding arrest of the real culprit on August 23 when police reportedly fired &quot;hundreds&quot; of rounds of tear gas shells and several rounds of aerial shots to contain the crowd. The local administration had later imposed the night time curfew.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Amnesty International Nepal is deeply troubled by the deteriorating law and order situation in Kanchanpur and urges the local administration to exercise maximum possible restraint while enforcing laws to calm the situation. We also urge the protestors to respect the rule of law and resort to peaceful means of protests,&rdquo; the watchdog said in a statement.</p>

<p>&quot;The incident resulting in the death of Sunny Khuna and injuries of twenty four others on August 24 due to the police firing is deeply disturbing,&quot; said Nirajan Thapaliya, director of Amnesty International Nepal.</p>

<p>&quot;We urge the authorities and law-enforcement officials in Nepal to only resort to a legitimate use of force, and always adhere to the <em>UN Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms</em> which requires officials to apply non-violent means before resorting to the use of force and firearms. The <em>Basic Principles</em> allows the use of force and firearms only if other means remain ineffective or without any promise of achieving the intended result.&quot;</p>

<p>Amnesty International also urge the authorities to carry out independent and impartial inquiry into the event leading to the violence on August 24, and to provide prompt and effective redress and justice to the victims and their families.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Gywali mentioned that the BIMSTEC member states have to tackle the old and new problems through regional cooperation. He said that poverty, inequality, unemployment and disease are some of the old problems while climate change, terrorism and transnational organised crimes are the new challenges.</p>

<p>&ldquo;These challenges cannot effectively be addressed through isolated domestic intervention alone.&nbsp; Therefore, we must find collective and coordinated response to our challenges and problems,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>BIMSTEC is organised with a vision to bridge the gap between South and Southeast Asia. At present, South Asia has 1.7 billion population with USD 3.3 trillion GDP while Southeast Asia has a population of 642 million with a total GDP of USD 2.76 trillion.</p>

<p>According to Gyawali, this summit will prioritize 16 working sectors. Till now, BIMSTEC has been working in various sectors including trade and investment, technology, energy, transportation and communication, tourism, fishery, cultural cooperatives, environment and disaster management, public health, poverty alleviation, terrorism and international crime and climate change.</p>

<p>He further highlighted the importance of economic development through entrepreneurship and expressed his support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</p>

<p>Speaking at the programme, Ashutosh Tiwari, founder and managing director of Safal Partners, said entrepreneurship is about continuous learning for which learning attitude is important.</p>

<p>Ten companies namely Naya Jagir, Tiffin Express, Waste Recyclers, Titepati, Krishima Yuwa, Your Agricultural Product, Whpedia, Hariyo Paat Sabaiko Saath, Hamro Pathshala and Revive presented their business plans in the pitching session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Managing director of a private company named SmartPaani, Suman Shakya, who is also a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur said being an entrepreneur is not easy but it is a choice.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

<p>YSBC has been organising social business challenge since the last three years.</p>

<p>Nirmala Panta, a thirteen-year-old girl of Bhimdutta Municipality was found murdered after rape on July 26, and the locals were in a protest demanding that the culprit behind the heinous crime be identified, tried and brought to justice. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Following intense public pressure, police had arrested one Dilip Singh Bista on August 20 for his alleged involvement in the crime. The locals, however, had continued their protest alleging that Bista was framed by the police and falsely charged for the crime.</p>

<p>The law and order situation in Kanchanpur deteriorated after locals of Kanchanpur came out on the street demanding arrest of the real culprit on August 23 when police reportedly fired &quot;hundreds&quot; of rounds of tear gas shells and several rounds of aerial shots to contain the crowd. The local administration had later imposed the night time curfew.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Amnesty International Nepal is deeply troubled by the deteriorating law and order situation in Kanchanpur and urges the local administration to exercise maximum possible restraint while enforcing laws to calm the situation. We also urge the protestors to respect the rule of law and resort to peaceful means of protests,&rdquo; the watchdog said in a statement.</p>

<p>&quot;The incident resulting in the death of Sunny Khuna and injuries of twenty four others on August 24 due to the police firing is deeply disturbing,&quot; said Nirajan Thapaliya, director of Amnesty International Nepal.</p>

<p>&quot;We urge the authorities and law-enforcement officials in Nepal to only resort to a legitimate use of force, and always adhere to the <em>UN Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms</em> which requires officials to apply non-violent means before resorting to the use of force and firearms. The <em>Basic Principles</em> allows the use of force and firearms only if other means remain ineffective or without any promise of achieving the intended result.&quot;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nearly one-fourth of the world&rsquo;s population lives in this region. The size of the economy of this region is over 3 trillion and is growing annually at 6.5 percent. <p>Gywali mentioned that the BIMSTEC member states have to tackle the old and new problems through regional cooperation. He said that poverty, inequality, unemployment and disease are some of the old problems while climate change, terrorism and transnational organised crimes are the new challenges.</p>

<p>&ldquo;These challenges cannot effectively be addressed through isolated domestic intervention alone.&nbsp; Therefore, we must find collective and coordinated response to our challenges and problems,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>BIMSTEC is organised with a vision to bridge the gap between South and Southeast Asia. At present, South Asia has 1.7 billion population with USD 3.3 trillion GDP while Southeast Asia has a population of 642 million with a total GDP of USD 2.76 trillion.</p>

<p>According to Gyawali, this summit will prioritize 16 working sectors. Till now, BIMSTEC has been working in various sectors including trade and investment, technology, energy, transportation and communication, tourism, fishery, cultural cooperatives, environment and disaster management, public health, poverty alleviation, terrorism and international crime and climate change.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The main challenge in Nepal is unemployment. To solve this problem, youths should opt for entrepreneurship,&rdquo; said Bista.</p>

<p>He further highlighted the importance of economic development through entrepreneurship and expressed his support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</p>

<p>Speaking at the programme, Ashutosh Tiwari, founder and managing director of Safal Partners, said entrepreneurship is about continuous learning for which learning attitude is important.</p>

<p>Ten companies namely Naya Jagir, Tiffin Express, Waste Recyclers, Titepati, Krishima Yuwa, Your Agricultural Product, Whpedia, Hariyo Paat Sabaiko Saath, Hamro Pathshala and Revive presented their business plans in the pitching session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Managing director of a private company named SmartPaani, Suman Shakya, who is also a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur said being an entrepreneur is not easy but it is a choice.</p>

<p>&ldquo;You see a problem and try to solve it through entrepreneurship,&rdquo; he added in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>The programme concluded after distribution of token of love to the jury members, facilitators, mentors and partners. &nbsp;</p>

<p>YSBC received applications from 55 teams from different walks of life throughout Nepal. From among the applicants, 22 teams were selected for second round and 15 teams for third round.</p>

<p>YSBC has been organising social business challenge since the last three years.</p>

<p>Nirmala Panta, a thirteen-year-old girl of Bhimdutta Municipality was found murdered after rape on July 26, and the locals were in a protest demanding that the culprit behind the heinous crime be identified, tried and brought to justice. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Following intense public pressure, police had arrested one Dilip Singh Bista on August 20 for his alleged involvement in the crime. The locals, however, had continued their protest alleging that Bista was framed by the police and falsely charged for the crime.</p>

<p>The law and order situation in Kanchanpur deteriorated after locals of Kanchanpur came out on the street demanding arrest of the real culprit on August 23 when police reportedly fired &quot;hundreds&quot; of rounds of tear gas shells and several rounds of aerial shots to contain the crowd. The local administration had later imposed the night time curfew.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Amnesty International Nepal is deeply troubled by the deteriorating law and order situation in Kanchanpur and urges the local administration to exercise maximum possible restraint while enforcing laws to calm the situation. We also urge the protestors to respect the rule of law and resort to peaceful means of protests,&rdquo; the watchdog said in a statement.</p>

<p>&quot;The incident resulting in the death of Sunny Khuna and injuries of twenty four others on August 24 due to the police firing is deeply disturbing,&quot; said Nirajan Thapaliya, director of Amnesty International Nepal.</p>

<p>&quot;We urge the authorities and law-enforcement officials in Nepal to only resort to a legitimate use of force, and always adhere to the <em>UN Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms</em> which requires officials to apply non-violent means before resorting to the use of force and firearms. The <em>Basic Principles</em> allows the use of force and firearms only if other means remain ineffective or without any promise of achieving the intended result.&quot;</p>

			'content' => '<p>August 26: Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has admitted that though it&rsquo;s been 20 years since the establishment of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), the regional body has not been able to work as expected. Deliberating on the realities and future priorities for the Bay of Bengal region in a talk programme entitled BIMSTEC: Connecting South and Southeast Asia, Gyawali stressed on the need for sustainable development of various sectors including trade and transit, digital networking, infrastructure and free trade.</p>

<p>Gyawali reminded that the fourth BIMSTEC Summit is being organised next week with the theme &lsquo;Towards a Peaceful, Prosperous and Sustainable Bay of Bengal Region&rsquo;.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nearly one-fourth of the world&rsquo;s population lives in this region. The size of the economy of this region is over 3 trillion and is growing annually at 6.5 percent. This is an evidence of the vast opportunities BIMSTEC possesses for greater regional cooperation and collaboration,&rdquo; says Gyawali.</p>

<p>Gywali mentioned that the BIMSTEC member states have to tackle the old and new problems through regional cooperation. He said that poverty, inequality, unemployment and disease are some of the old problems while climate change, terrorism and transnational organised crimes are the new challenges.</p>

<p>&ldquo;These challenges cannot effectively be addressed through isolated domestic intervention alone.&nbsp; Therefore, we must find collective and coordinated response to our challenges and problems,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>BIMSTEC is organised with a vision to bridge the gap between South and Southeast Asia. At present, South Asia has 1.7 billion population with USD 3.3 trillion GDP while Southeast Asia has a population of 642 million with a total GDP of USD 2.76 trillion.</p>

<p>According to Gyawali, this summit will prioritize 16 working sectors. Till now, BIMSTEC has been working in various sectors including trade and investment, technology, energy, transportation and communication, tourism, fishery, cultural cooperatives, environment and disaster management, public health, poverty alleviation, terrorism and international crime and climate change.</p>
