<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;Through this major event, we want to run a startup national campaign for the young generation of Nepal,&quot; shared Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, while speaking at a programme organised at his office at Singhadurbar.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&quot;We have a target to provide jobs to all the Nepali youths in the country itself in the next 10 years.&nbsp; For this, the government has been preparing to mobilize the national capital, as well as bring in Foreign Investment,&quot; shared Minister Joshi.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to him, the programme will also help attract Nepali youths who are in foreign countries in course of foreign employment. &quot;The ministry is also concerned about solving the challenges that the youths and the entrepreneurs are facing in the country,&quot; he further said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In addition, Shankar Prasad Koirala, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry informed that the ministry has been discussing on the draft related to the startup policy which has already been completed.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also shared that the ministry has already revamped the working procedure of the &lsquo;Challenge Fund&rsquo; after it gets approval from the government. &nbsp;Budget will also be allocated as per the need.&nbsp; He said that the government is highly concerned that no entrepreneur should stop from growth due to lack of finance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The summit will observe the participation of more than 300 youths from all the 75 districts of the country. Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. The ministry has formed a Startup Committee to make this event successful. &quot;In today&#39;s competitive world, the country needs to bring new ideas and concepts in entrepreneurships,&quot; shares Narottam Aryal, convener of the Startup Committee.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;The Nepal Entrepreneurs Forum, Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Industrial Enterprise Development Institute and Federation of Nepalese Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI) are supporting this event.</p>

			'content' => '<p style="text-align:justify">April 24: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has certified Banks and Financial Institutions Act (BAFIA) bill 2073 on April 23. With the certification from President, the bill will be implemented as an Act.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">After the certification, tenure of CEO along with Managing Director of BFIs has been limited to 8 years for maximum of two terms. Earlier, the tenure was limited to 10 years comprising 2 terms each with 5 years.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The bill was amended repeatedly in the legislature parliament. However, a meeting of Finance Committee of Legislature Parliament endorsed the bill with few modifications on November 21.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Act sets qualification and term for directors of any BFIs. According to the Act, the director of any BFIs should have Masters&#39; degree in any faculty or have bachelors&#39; degree with minimum of three years work experience as director or higher official in any BFIs or government owned bodies.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, the Act also mentions that any individual with at least 5 years of experience in domestic or international financial institution or in government service will also be eligible to work as a director of any BFIs. However, the Act prohibits any individual having more than 50 per cent investment in any company dealing with a bank from becoming director of the bank.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, the Act bars the individuals serving in constitutional posts to become board of director of any BFIs. After the implementation Act, the BFIs can convert their promoters share into general share after completing 10 years of operation by taking approval from NRB.&nbsp;</p>

Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. <p style="text-align:justify">After the certification, tenure of CEO along with Managing Director of BFIs has been limited to 8 years for maximum of two terms. Earlier, the tenure was limited to 10 years comprising 2 terms each with 5 years.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The bill was amended repeatedly in the legislature parliament. However, a meeting of Finance Committee of Legislature Parliament endorsed the bill with few modifications on November 21.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Act sets qualification and term for directors of any BFIs. According to the Act, the director of any BFIs should have Masters&#39; degree in any faculty or have bachelors&#39; degree with minimum of three years work experience as director or higher official in any BFIs or government owned bodies.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, the Act also mentions that any individual with at least 5 years of experience in domestic or international financial institution or in government service will also be eligible to work as a director of any BFIs. However, the Act prohibits any individual having more than 50 per cent investment in any company dealing with a bank from becoming director of the bank.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, the Act bars the individuals serving in constitutional posts to become board of director of any BFIs. After the implementation Act, the BFIs can convert their promoters share into general share after completing 10 years of operation by taking approval from NRB.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The summit will observe the participation of more than 300 youths from all the 75 districts of the country. Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. <p style="text-align:justify">After the certification, tenure of CEO along with Managing Director of BFIs has been limited to 8 years for maximum of two terms. Earlier, the tenure was limited to 10 years comprising 2 terms each with 5 years.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The bill was amended repeatedly in the legislature parliament. However, a meeting of Finance Committee of Legislature Parliament endorsed the bill with few modifications on November 21.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Act sets qualification and term for directors of any BFIs. According to the Act, the director of any BFIs should have Masters&#39; degree in any faculty or have bachelors&#39; degree with minimum of three years work experience as director or higher official in any BFIs or government owned bodies.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, the Act also mentions that any individual with at least 5 years of experience in domestic or international financial institution or in government service will also be eligible to work as a director of any BFIs. However, the Act prohibits any individual having more than 50 per cent investment in any company dealing with a bank from becoming director of the bank.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, the Act bars the individuals serving in constitutional posts to become board of director of any BFIs. After the implementation Act, the BFIs can convert their promoters share into general share after completing 10 years of operation by taking approval from NRB.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">He also shared that the ministry has already revamped the working procedure of the &lsquo;Challenge Fund&rsquo; after it gets approval from the government. &nbsp;Budget will also be allocated as per the need.&nbsp; He said that the government is highly concerned that no entrepreneur should stop from growth due to lack of finance.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The summit will observe the participation of more than 300 youths from all the 75 districts of the country. Many aspiring national and international entrepreneurs will make presentations as resource persons in the programme. The international resource persons will share their experiences and discuss about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in Nepal.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Though such startup programmes were organised by the private sector in the past, it is the first time that the government itself has initiated such an event for startups.&nbsp; The conference will act as a get-together for all the startup and entrepreneurship-related people.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, during the programme, the Ministry will present the progress report of Nepal in terms of entrepreneurship. The ministry has formed a Startup Committee to make this event successful. &quot;In today&#39;s competitive world, the country needs to bring new ideas and concepts in entrepreneurships,&quot; shares Narottam Aryal, convener of the Startup Committee.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">After the certification, tenure of CEO along with Managing Director of BFIs has been limited to 8 years for maximum of two terms. Earlier, the tenure was limited to 10 years comprising 2 terms each with 5 years.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The bill was amended repeatedly in the legislature parliament. However, a meeting of Finance Committee of Legislature Parliament endorsed the bill with few modifications on November 21.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The Act sets qualification and term for directors of any BFIs. According to the Act, the director of any BFIs should have Masters&#39; degree in any faculty or have bachelors&#39; degree with minimum of three years work experience as director or higher official in any BFIs or government owned bodies.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Moreover, the Act also mentions that any individual with at least 5 years of experience in domestic or international financial institution or in government service will also be eligible to work as a director of any BFIs. However, the Act prohibits any individual having more than 50 per cent investment in any company dealing with a bank from becoming director of the bank.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Similarly, the Act bars the individuals serving in constitutional posts to become board of director of any BFIs. After the implementation Act, the BFIs can convert their promoters share into general share after completing 10 years of operation by taking approval from NRB.&nbsp;</p>
