<p>FNCCI President Pashupati Murarka said the declaration of the constitution was a historic moment for the country. &ldquo;We hope that the new constitution is not limited to being just a book,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;The con-stitution should be implemented in letter and spirit. The new constitution institutionalises the achieve-ments of the political revolution. So it&rsquo;s not just the private sector, it&rsquo;s the whole country that expects peace and prosperity in the future,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Murarka said that it was necessary for the country to head towards economic development if Nepal is to be peaceful and prosperous.</p>

<p>Similarly, CNI&rsquo;s Senior Vice-president Haribhakta Sharma said the constitution incorporates the aspira-tion of all Nepalis. &ldquo;We believe that with the new constitution, the country will head towards peace and prosperity.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha hopes the new constitution will bring political stability in the country, and that will help attract more investment. &ldquo;Now there will be more investment in industries and more jobs will be created,&rdquo; he said. However, all is going to depend on the political leadership and how the constitution is implemented, said Shrestha.</p>

According to him, the hotel is being upgraded from three-star to four-star. The hotel now has rooms of that are sound-proof as it is located close to a busy road.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Constituent Assembly also endorsed the amended draft of the constitution by a two-third majority on Wednesday night. Of the 598 CA members, 532 participated in the voting process, and 507 voted in favour of the amended draft.</p>

<p>Following the endorsement of the draft, leaders of three major political parties termed the day as &lsquo;historic&rsquo;, and called on all sides to resolve differences over the constitution through dialogue. They also urged the general public to celebrate the achievement.</p>

<p>Members of the Constituent Assembly are due to sign the new constitution on Sunday&nbsp;(September 20). CA Chairman Subas Nembang will then certify the document and President Ram Baran Yadav will announce its promulgation.</p>

<p>The government is likely to announce a public holiday on Monday (September 21) to commemorate the occasion.</p>

<p>The group, which will become the first to produce refined sugar in the country, has invested Rs 2 billion on it plant (Himalaya Refined Sugar Industry) in Panwadi, Siraha, and it will provide employment to 500 people.</p>

<p>Managing Director of the group Sashikant Agrawal said the plant will produce refined sugar without using sulfur and limestone. &ldquo;Refined sugar can be used as an alternative to organic sugar, and it has a positive effect on human health,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>According to Agrawal, refined sugar can be used in medicine as well as soft drinks. Manufactureres producing these items have been importing refined sugar from Thailand, Indian and Brasil till now.</p>

<p>Agrawal said the plant alone cost the company Rs 500 million to build. It has the capacity to 2,500 tonnes of sugarcane per day, and can produce 200 MT of sugar. The plant has been financed by NIC Asia and Nepal Investment banks.</p>

<p>MS group runs Reliance Spinning Mill (Birgunj), Bhagwati Steel (Biratnagar) and Everest Sugar Mill (Mahottari). It has also invested in the hotel business.</p>

<p>The report, produced by the Fraser Institute, Canada&rsquo;s leading public policy think-tank, in cooperation with independent institutes in 80 nations and territories, including Samriddhi Foundation from Nepal ranked Nepal 106th among 157 countries. The report was based on figures from 2013.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nepal received an overall score of 6.56 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom). It jumped 20 places up in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 126th out of 152 countries with a score of 6.16.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Despite the jump, Nepal&rsquo;s score has improved only marginally, maintaining us as a country with low level of economic freedom,&rdquo; said Dr. Hemanta Dabadi, Senior Fellow at Samriddhi, the Prosperity Foundation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Economic freedom is measured in five different areas: size of government, legal structure and security of property rights, access to sound money, freedom to trade internationally, regulation of credit and labor and business.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hong Kong has been ranked 1st with 8.97 out of 10. Singapore with 8.52, New Zealand with 8.19, Switzerland with 8.16 and the UAE with 8.15 complete the top five. The USA scored 7.73, Japan 7.52, China 6.44 and India 6.43. Argentina, Syria, Chad, Libya, Republic of Congo, and Venezuela (3.23) are the last five on list.</p>

<p>As part of the project, data is being collected in five districts; it was supposed to be implemented in six districts: Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, Pyuthan, Surkhet and Dang. The government has said it gives priority to the project as lack of reliable data has made it difficult to formulate plans and collect taxes.</p>

<p>According to officials, the software can be used to aggregate data on employment and capital, among others.</p>

<p>The GIZ-funded project aims to use a software called Industrial Profile &nbsp;to aggregate industrial data from all over the country. Once implemented, the software will provide key data on industries on a regular basis.</p>

<p>The project will be implemented after a new office dedicated to it is brought into operation, said Ministry of Industry&rsquo;s Joint Secretary Yamkumari Khatiwada. She said this was the reason the implementation of the project was delayed.</p>

<p>As part of the project, data is being collected in five districts; it was supposed to be implemented in six districts: Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, Pyuthan, Surkhet and Dang. The government has said it gives priority to the project as lack of reliable data has made it difficult to formulate plans and collect taxes.</p>

<p>According to officials, the software can be used to aggregate data on employment and capital, among others.</p>

<p>In 2014, a total of 173,425 tourists visited CNP contributing a revenue of Rs 246.9 million which is higher than the revenue collected by any of the parks and reserves. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Shivapuri National Park (SNP) has drawn the highest number of tourists - a total of 180,464 tourists to be precise - collecting a revenue of Rs 10.3 million. The amount is 2.5 million more than that of last year. Shivapuri is visited by many domestic as well as international tourists as it is near Kathmandu, according to tourism entrepreneurs.</p>

<p>Similarly, Sagarmatha National Park and Langtang have collectively earned Rs 136.5 million. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Khaptad National Park is listed as a low revenue-collecting park, compared to other parks and reserves. The country&rsquo;s only hunting reserve, Dhorpatan, was visited by very few tourists in the year.</p>

<p>There are nine national parks, three wildlife reserves and one hunting reserve in Nepal. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha hopes the new constitution will bring political stability in the country, and that will help attract more investment. &ldquo;Now there will be more investment in industries and more jobs will be created,&rdquo; he said. However, all is going to depend on the political leadership and how the constitution is implemented, said Shrestha.</p>

<p>Following the endorsement of the draft, leaders of three major political parties termed the day as &lsquo;historic&rsquo;, and called on all sides to resolve differences over the constitution through dialogue. They also urged the general public to celebrate the achievement.</p>

<p>Members of the Constituent Assembly are due to sign the new constitution on Sunday&nbsp;(September 20). CA Chairman Subas Nembang will then certify the document and President Ram Baran Yadav will announce its promulgation.</p>

<p>The government is likely to announce a public holiday on Monday (September 21) to commemorate the occasion.</p>

<p>Managing Director of the group Sashikant Agrawal said the plant will produce refined sugar without using sulfur and limestone. &ldquo;Refined sugar can be used as an alternative to organic sugar, and it has a positive effect on human health,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>According to Agrawal, refined sugar can be used in medicine as well as soft drinks. Manufactureres producing these items have been importing refined sugar from Thailand, Indian and Brasil till now.</p>

<p>Agrawal said the plant alone cost the company Rs 500 million to build. It has the capacity to 2,500 tonnes of sugarcane per day, and can produce 200 MT of sugar. The plant has been financed by NIC Asia and Nepal Investment banks.</p>

<p>MS group runs Reliance Spinning Mill (Birgunj), Bhagwati Steel (Biratnagar) and Everest Sugar Mill (Mahottari). It has also invested in the hotel business.</p>

<p>Nepal received an overall score of 6.56 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom). It jumped 20 places up in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 126th out of 152 countries with a score of 6.16.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Despite the jump, Nepal&rsquo;s score has improved only marginally, maintaining us as a country with low level of economic freedom,&rdquo; said Dr. Hemanta Dabadi, Senior Fellow at Samriddhi, the Prosperity Foundation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Economic freedom is measured in five different areas: size of government, legal structure and security of property rights, access to sound money, freedom to trade internationally, regulation of credit and labor and business.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hong Kong has been ranked 1st with 8.97 out of 10. Singapore with 8.52, New Zealand with 8.19, Switzerland with 8.16 and the UAE with 8.15 complete the top five. The USA scored 7.73, Japan 7.52, China 6.44 and India 6.43. Argentina, Syria, Chad, Libya, Republic of Congo, and Venezuela (3.23) are the last five on list.</p>

<p>In 2014, a total of 173,425 tourists visited CNP contributing a revenue of Rs 246.9 million which is higher than the revenue collected by any of the parks and reserves. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Shivapuri National Park (SNP) has drawn the highest number of tourists - a total of 180,464 tourists to be precise - collecting a revenue of Rs 10.3 million. The amount is 2.5 million more than that of last year. Shivapuri is visited by many domestic as well as international tourists as it is near Kathmandu, according to tourism entrepreneurs.</p>

<p>Similarly, Sagarmatha National Park and Langtang have collectively earned Rs 136.5 million. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Khaptad National Park is listed as a low revenue-collecting park, compared to other parks and reserves. The country&rsquo;s only hunting reserve, Dhorpatan, was visited by very few tourists in the year.</p>

<p>There are nine national parks, three wildlife reserves and one hunting reserve in Nepal. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha hopes the new constitution will bring political stability in the country, and that will help attract more investment. &ldquo;Now there will be more investment in industries and more jobs will be created,&rdquo; he said. However, all is going to depend on the political leadership and how the constitution is implemented, said Shrestha.</p>

<p>Following the endorsement of the draft, leaders of three major political parties termed the day as &lsquo;historic&rsquo;, and called on all sides to resolve differences over the constitution through dialogue. They also urged the general public to celebrate the achievement.</p>

<p>Members of the Constituent Assembly are due to sign the new constitution on Sunday&nbsp;(September 20). CA Chairman Subas Nembang will then certify the document and President Ram Baran Yadav will announce its promulgation.</p>

<p>The government is likely to announce a public holiday on Monday (September 21) to commemorate the occasion.</p>

<p>The group, which will become the first to produce refined sugar in the country, has invested Rs 2 billion on it plant (Himalaya Refined Sugar Industry) in Panwadi, Siraha, and it will provide employment to 500 people.</p>

<p>Managing Director of the group Sashikant Agrawal said the plant will produce refined sugar without using sulfur and limestone. &ldquo;Refined sugar can be used as an alternative to organic sugar, and it has a positive effect on human health,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>According to Agrawal, refined sugar can be used in medicine as well as soft drinks. Manufactureres producing these items have been importing refined sugar from Thailand, Indian and Brasil till now.</p>

<p>Agrawal said the plant alone cost the company Rs 500 million to build. It has the capacity to 2,500 tonnes of sugarcane per day, and can produce 200 MT of sugar. The plant has been financed by NIC Asia and Nepal Investment banks.</p>

<p>MS group runs Reliance Spinning Mill (Birgunj), Bhagwati Steel (Biratnagar) and Everest Sugar Mill (Mahottari). It has also invested in the hotel business.</p>

<p>The report, produced by the Fraser Institute, Canada&rsquo;s leading public policy think-tank, in cooperation with independent institutes in 80 nations and territories, including Samriddhi Foundation from Nepal ranked Nepal 106th among 157 countries. The report was based on figures from 2013.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nepal received an overall score of 6.56 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom). It jumped 20 places up in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 126th out of 152 countries with a score of 6.16.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Despite the jump, Nepal&rsquo;s score has improved only marginally, maintaining us as a country with low level of economic freedom,&rdquo; said Dr. Hemanta Dabadi, Senior Fellow at Samriddhi, the Prosperity Foundation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Economic freedom is measured in five different areas: size of government, legal structure and security of property rights, access to sound money, freedom to trade internationally, regulation of credit and labor and business.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hong Kong has been ranked 1st with 8.97 out of 10. Singapore with 8.52, New Zealand with 8.19, Switzerland with 8.16 and the UAE with 8.15 complete the top five. The USA scored 7.73, Japan 7.52, China 6.44 and India 6.43. Argentina, Syria, Chad, Libya, Republic of Congo, and Venezuela (3.23) are the last five on list.</p>

<p>In 2014, a total of 173,425 tourists visited CNP contributing a revenue of Rs 246.9 million which is higher than the revenue collected by any of the parks and reserves. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Shivapuri National Park (SNP) has drawn the highest number of tourists - a total of 180,464 tourists to be precise - collecting a revenue of Rs 10.3 million. The amount is 2.5 million more than that of last year. Shivapuri is visited by many domestic as well as international tourists as it is near Kathmandu, according to tourism entrepreneurs.</p>

<p>Similarly, Sagarmatha National Park and Langtang have collectively earned Rs 136.5 million. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Khaptad National Park is listed as a low revenue-collecting park, compared to other parks and reserves. The country&rsquo;s only hunting reserve, Dhorpatan, was visited by very few tourists in the year.</p>

<p>There are nine national parks, three wildlife reserves and one hunting reserve in Nepal. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

So it&rsquo;s not just the private sector, it&rsquo;s the whole country that expects peace and prosperity in the future,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Murarka said that it was necessary for the country to head towards economic development if Nepal is to be peaceful and prosperous.</p>

<p>Similarly, CNI&rsquo;s Senior Vice-president Haribhakta Sharma said the constitution incorporates the aspira-tion of all Nepalis. &ldquo;We believe that with the new constitution, the country will head towards peace and prosperity.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha hopes the new constitution will bring political stability in the country, and that will help attract more investment. &ldquo;Now there will be more investment in industries and more jobs will be created,&rdquo; he said. However, all is going to depend on the political leadership and how the constitution is implemented, said Shrestha.</p>

<p>Members of the Constituent Assembly are due to sign the new constitution on Sunday&nbsp;(September 20). CA Chairman Subas Nembang will then certify the document and President Ram Baran Yadav will announce its promulgation.</p>

<p>The group, which will become the first to produce refined sugar in the country, has invested Rs 2 billion on it plant (Himalaya Refined Sugar Industry) in Panwadi, Siraha, and it will provide employment to 500 people.</p>

<p>Managing Director of the group Sashikant Agrawal said the plant will produce refined sugar without using sulfur and limestone. &ldquo;Refined sugar can be used as an alternative to organic sugar, and it has a positive effect on human health,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>According to Agrawal, refined sugar can be used in medicine as well as soft drinks. Manufactureres producing these items have been importing refined sugar from Thailand, Indian and Brasil till now.</p>

<p>Agrawal said the plant alone cost the company Rs 500 million to build. It has the capacity to 2,500 tonnes of sugarcane per day, and can produce 200 MT of sugar. The plant has been financed by NIC Asia and Nepal Investment banks.</p>

<p>MS group runs Reliance Spinning Mill (Birgunj), Bhagwati Steel (Biratnagar) and Everest Sugar Mill (Mahottari). It has also invested in the hotel business.</p>

<p>The report, produced by the Fraser Institute, Canada&rsquo;s leading public policy think-tank, in cooperation with independent institutes in 80 nations and territories, including Samriddhi Foundation from Nepal ranked Nepal 106th among 157 countries. The report was based on figures from 2013.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nepal received an overall score of 6.56 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom). It jumped 20 places up in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 126th out of 152 countries with a score of 6.16.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Despite the jump, Nepal&rsquo;s score has improved only marginally, maintaining us as a country with low level of economic freedom,&rdquo; said Dr. Hemanta Dabadi, Senior Fellow at Samriddhi, the Prosperity Foundation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Economic freedom is measured in five different areas: size of government, legal structure and security of property rights, access to sound money, freedom to trade internationally, regulation of credit and labor and business.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hong Kong has been ranked 1st with 8.97 out of 10. Singapore with 8.52, New Zealand with 8.19, Switzerland with 8.16 and the UAE with 8.15 complete the top five. The USA scored 7.73, Japan 7.52, China 6.44 and India 6.43. Argentina, Syria, Chad, Libya, Republic of Congo, and Venezuela (3.23) are the last five on list.</p>

<p>In 2014, a total of 173,425 tourists visited CNP contributing a revenue of Rs 246.9 million which is higher than the revenue collected by any of the parks and reserves. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Shivapuri National Park (SNP) has drawn the highest number of tourists - a total of 180,464 tourists to be precise - collecting a revenue of Rs 10.3 million. The amount is 2.5 million more than that of last year. Shivapuri is visited by many domestic as well as international tourists as it is near Kathmandu, according to tourism entrepreneurs.</p>

<p>Similarly, Sagarmatha National Park and Langtang have collectively earned Rs 136.5 million. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Khaptad National Park is listed as a low revenue-collecting park, compared to other parks and reserves. The country&rsquo;s only hunting reserve, Dhorpatan, was visited by very few tourists in the year.</p>

<p>There are nine national parks, three wildlife reserves and one hunting reserve in Nepal. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
