The airlines are rated on both safety and product quality. More than two years in development, the safety rating system takes into account various factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies and lead associations as well as government audits and the airline’s fatality record. The website has the most comprehensive collection of independent information about airlines, their safety ratings, product quality, aircraft types, lounge reviews and more. Following improvements in the safety situation in the Philippines, Philippine Airlines is the first airline from this country allowed back into European skies since 2010. The same is true for the Venezuelan airline Conviasa, which was banned in 2012. Progress was also noted in Libya but the Libyan authorities agreed that Libyan airlines would not be allowed to operate in Europe until they are fully recertified to the satisfaction of the European Union. Taking into account the improved safety oversight provided by the authorities of the Philippines, and the ability of the air carrier Philippine Airlines to ensure effective compliance with relevant aviation safety regulations, it was decided to lift the ban affecting this carrier registered in the Philippines.

HotelMapper.com Reveals Top Ten Travel Destinations of 2013

HotelMapper.com, a leading hotel reservation website has announced the results of hotel reservation trends for the first part of 2013. Created by award-winning Australian aviation editor and author, Geoffrey Thomas, the site was developed by a team of aviation editors who have forensically researched airlines flying today. Created by award-winning Australian aviation editor and author, Geoffrey Thomas, the site was developed by a team of aviation editors who have forensically researched airlines flying today. In 2012, European 15 to 29 year-olds undertook a total of 69 million holiday trips abroad, whereas the corresponding figure for the UK was only six million (nine per cent). As a fully participating member, Russia will now permit ABTC card-holders from other APEC economies to enter its borders without a visa. Russian citizens are also eligible to apply for the card to enjoy facilitated entry into 18 other participating APEC economies without having to separately apply for visas. The move is in accordance with a decree made by President Vladimir Putin last year when Russia hosted APEC. It announced Russia’s intention to join as a full participant in the ABTC scheme. Created by award-winning Australian aviation editor and author, Geoffrey Thomas, the site was developed by a team of aviation editors who have forensically researched airlines flying today.
