Due to a lack of market management in Nepal, 500 MW of electricity was wasted during the last monsoon. It has caused a loss of Rs 5 billion. Electricity generated in Nepal is being wasted due to the lack of adequate transmission lines and internal and external markets.</span></span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif""><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Hamid said that Bangladesh is ready to upgrade infrastructure of the transmission line for the import of electricity from Nepal. Bangladesh will initiate the construction of a dedicated line, assured Hamid. Around 98 percent of the respondents out of a total of 1,593 surveyed during the study said they paid high enrollment fee. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Less than two percent of the respondents said that they did not have to pay any enrollment fee and costs in course of foreign employment.
