As per the decision, the bank will distribute 20 percent bonus share and 1.05 percent cash dividend. The bank decided to provide the bonus from the income of fiscal year 2071/2072 to increase the paid-up capital. The AGM also passed a proposal to issue right shares in the ratio of 1:1 to increase the capital.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">BBBL has collected the deposits of Rs 1.47 billion and extended the credit of Rs 1.14 billion by the first week of July of current FY. &ldquo;The operating profit has increased due to the significant increase in deposits and credit extension,&rdquo; said Pushkar Raj Joshi, CEO of BBBL.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Currently, the bank is providing its services through seven branches in Banke, Bardiya and Dang districts.&nbsp; According to the bank, the eighth branch is going to be opened in Bhurigaun, Bardiya.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to President of N-PABSON Karna Bahadur Shahi, the private sector&rsquo;s three leading associations in school education HISSAN, PABSON and N-PABSON are likely to be strong if only they get united. &ldquo;It is the time to get united to protect private schools from various time to time attacks,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the past, N-PABSON separated the lead after PABSON was formed to lead private and boarding schools. However, now all the private schools will be under a single umbrella as these two associations holding similar aim will be organised together. Similarly, the strength will be more after the involvement of HISSAN that is leading higher secondary schools.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the details of troubled Samjhana Finance and Himalayan Finance were not available. On the basis of percentage, finance companies have logged the highest profit. The profit of such companies has amounted to Rs 2.13 billion increasing by 84 percent compare to last year. Similarly, development banks have registered a total profit of Rs 4.61 billion increasing by 20 percent. &nbsp;Meanwhile, profit of commercial banks have totaled Rs 26 billion in the review period increasing by more than 18 percent compared to same period of the last year. Likewise, 41 microfinance companies that are under operation increased their profit by 38 percent totaling Rs 2.88 billion during the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the paid-up capital of BFIs has increased by Rs 18.58 billion since mid-June 2015. The increase is attributed to the capital plan of BFIs implemented by NRB last year.&nbsp; After the central bank&rsquo;s directive, BFIs have aggressively embarked on increasing their paid-up capital. Currently, the total paid-up capital of BFIs has reached Rs 159.38 billion. The amount is seven percent of GDP which was earlier 6.26 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During the review period, the deposits of BFIs have increased by 18 percent reaching Rs 1,965 billion. Similarly, BFIs have extended their loans to Rs 1, 567 billion increasing by 19 percent. The extension of loan has increased by Rs 200 billion since mid-June 2015. In the meantime, the credit to deposit (CD) ratio has been registered at 78 percent. The CD ratio of development banks and finance companies is slightly higher even the NRB had directed to maintain CD ratio at 80 percent. During the review period, average interest on deposits was registered three percent while interest on loans has been averaged at 9.3 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statistics of the department, 3,379 and 640 firms are inspected in Kathmandu valley and outside the valley respectively. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, among the inspected firms, &nbsp;it took action against those that have mismatch the quality and standards, forged marked price and labels and ignored hygiene, VAT and PAN registration. The department informed that action have been taken against 448 firms for not updating the price-list, 260 firms for not keeping&nbsp; signboards and 424 firms for not &nbsp;following the label. Similarly, it found out that 365 firms have not registered and renewed their businesses and 279 firms have not used proper measuring equipments. Likewise, the department found that 41 firms have not taken food license documents, 105 firms have not maintained proper hygiene. Moreover, 304 firms have not registered on VAT and PAN and 339 firms have been distributing date expired medicines.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, it took action against the culprit firms among the inspected firms. In the process, 33 firms were closed down, cases were filed against 15 firms and 296 firms were demanded clarification. The department also directed 24 firms for increasing capital, recommended action against 10 firms and given other guidelines for 656 firms.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Recently, Machhapuchhare Bank and Janata Bank had submitted a proposal in NRB to break the merger. In the context, BOD meeting of NRB suggested to lengthen the restriction in the share transactions of those banks as an action. However, it would have violate the consumers right of trading shares, thus the majority of BOD didn&rsquo;t approve the action. Similarly, due to the lack of rules and regulation, NRB could not decide of other actions to be taken on the banks. Thus, NRB set the banks free with a simple warning.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;NRB has not been able to take solid action against those banks that break merger except of giving warning although the merger process consumes big financial sum and time due to the short of rules and regulation. &ldquo;We cannot force banks to merge if both the banks want to demerge,&rdquo; said NRB source adding that &ldquo;It will be more difficult to solve the problem in future if the forceful action results other problems.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;At present, NRB has prepared the initial draft of the possible actions to be taken against the banks which it was preparing since last six months. &nbsp;&ldquo;NRB has already made the draft and discussion will begin as soon as the monetary policy comes,&rdquo; informed the source. <p>Though government argued that the market monitoring has been done for a year to maintain the quality and also to control the price, purchase of daily goods in the market is increasingly out of reach for ordinary consumers. &nbsp;According to the economic report of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) in the first 10 month of current fiscal year, the price of pulse and legumes has increased the highest of 23.4 percent whereas, the price of vegetables has increased by 20.1 percent. However, in practice the inflation rate is much higher than in the statistic by NRB.</p>

<p>Raj Kumar Shrestha, General Secretary of Retail Trade Association admits that the price of sugar, pulses and other essential foods have increased since few days. &ldquo;The price of some essential goods has increased 7-8 percent,&rdquo; he says.</p>

Chairman of the National Consumer Forum, Prem Lal Maharjan says that the market has been out of control of the government. &ldquo;The ministry team that went for market monitoring has been attacked,&rdquo; he says adding, &ldquo;This is the evidence about how anarchic the market has been.&rdquo; He said it is due to the failure of government to perform the interventionist role to control the market situation. The team of supply minister Ganesh Man Pun in coordination with Department of Supply management and Consumer Welfare protection were physically attacked at Balkhu Vegetable market in capital on Tuesday. He said that the anarchy in the market was flourished as the consumer right act along with rules and regulation were traditional and not effective. According to consumer right activists, there are Food Act, Metrology and Quality act, The Drug Act, Black Market and Social Crime Act Essential Service and Object Operation Act along with other 2 dozen Acts concerning the consumers. However, the chaos in market has flourished due to the lack of implementation as well as timely amendments of laws concerning with consumer rights.</p>

<p>The department that has been given the primary responsibility of supply management and monitoring of the market informs that the market is being monitored regularly. The department informs that the market is being monitored according to the available resources. According to Director General of the department, Gokul Prasad Dhital, the inflation is caused due to bulky budget and increase in salary of government employees. <p style="text-align: justify;">The detailed household survey of other eleven districts which were badly hit by the earthquake had been already concluded. The distribution of money in relief aid has already been started by National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) in these areas. According to survey of Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA), there are more than 115,000 earthquake victims in the valley.&nbsp; However, the CBS predicts that the number may increase to 150,000 on the base of the complaints that have risen in the recent months. As per the Bureau, it will be providing training to 500 social workers, 500 engineers and 50 supervisors from June 9 to 15.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The government has selected 533,058 homes as advantage seekers from the 11 districts. &ldquo;Out of this number, agreement with 220,000 households for the aid of has already been finalized,&rdquo; informs Ram Prasad Thapaliya, Spokesperson of NRA. According to him, the agreed 26,986 homes have already received money in first installment.</p>

With the change in the structure of education, possibility of merger between Higher Secondary Education Association Nepal (HISSAN), Private and Boarding School&rsquo;s organization, Nepal (PABSON) and National Private and Boarding School Organization (N-PABSON) is being seen.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to D.K Dhungana, General Secretary of PABSON, the informal conversation of merging together in one organisation has been carried out after termination of the higher school education which has now merged with school education. &nbsp;&ldquo;The merger is being done in a bid to develop overall education collectively,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">According to President of N-PABSON Karna Bahadur Shahi, the private sector&rsquo;s three leading associations in school education HISSAN, PABSON and N-PABSON are likely to be strong if only they get united. &ldquo;It is the time to get united to protect private schools from various time to time attacks,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In the past, N-PABSON separated the lead after PABSON was formed to lead private and boarding schools. However, now all the private schools will be under a single umbrella as these two associations holding similar aim will be organised together. Similarly, the strength will be more after the involvement of HISSAN that is leading higher secondary schools.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the details of troubled Samjhana Finance and Himalayan Finance were not available. On the basis of percentage, finance companies have logged the highest profit. The profit of such companies has amounted to Rs 2.13 billion increasing by 84 percent compare to last year. Similarly, development banks have registered a total profit of Rs 4.61 billion increasing by 20 percent. &nbsp;Meanwhile, profit of commercial banks have totaled Rs 26 billion in the review period increasing by more than 18 percent compared to same period of the last year. Likewise, 41 microfinance companies that are under operation increased their profit by 38 percent totaling Rs 2.88 billion during the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the paid-up capital of BFIs has increased by Rs 18.58 billion since mid-June 2015. The increase is attributed to the capital plan of BFIs implemented by NRB last year.&nbsp; After the central bank&rsquo;s directive, BFIs have aggressively embarked on increasing their paid-up capital. Currently, the total paid-up capital of BFIs has reached Rs 159.38 billion. The amount is seven percent of GDP which was earlier 6.26 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During the review period, the deposits of BFIs have increased by 18 percent reaching Rs 1,965 billion. Similarly, BFIs have extended their loans to Rs 1, 567 billion increasing by 19 percent. The extension of loan has increased by Rs 200 billion since mid-June 2015. In the meantime, the credit to deposit (CD) ratio has been registered at 78 percent. The CD ratio of development banks and finance companies is slightly higher even the NRB had directed to maintain CD ratio at 80 percent. During the review period, average interest on deposits was registered three percent while interest on loans has been averaged at 9.3 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, among the inspected firms, &nbsp;it took action against those that have mismatch the quality and standards, forged marked price and labels and ignored hygiene, VAT and PAN registration. The department informed that action have been taken against 448 firms for not updating the price-list, 260 firms for not keeping&nbsp; signboards and 424 firms for not &nbsp;following the label. Similarly, it found out that 365 firms have not registered and renewed their businesses and 279 firms have not used proper measuring equipments. Likewise, the department found that 41 firms have not taken food license documents, 105 firms have not maintained proper hygiene. Moreover, 304 firms have not registered on VAT and PAN and 339 firms have been distributing date expired medicines.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, it took action against the culprit firms among the inspected firms. In the process, 33 firms were closed down, cases were filed against 15 firms and 296 firms were demanded clarification. The department also directed 24 firms for increasing capital, recommended action against 10 firms and given other guidelines for 656 firms.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Recently, Machhapuchhare Bank and Janata Bank had submitted a proposal in NRB to break the merger. In the context, BOD meeting of NRB suggested to lengthen the restriction in the share transactions of those banks as an action. However, it would have violate the consumers right of trading shares, thus the majority of BOD didn&rsquo;t approve the action. Similarly, due to the lack of rules and regulation, NRB could not decide of other actions to be taken on the banks. Thus, NRB set the banks free with a simple warning.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;NRB has not been able to take solid action against those banks that break merger except of giving warning although the merger process consumes big financial sum and time due to the short of rules and regulation. &ldquo;We cannot force banks to merge if both the banks want to demerge,&rdquo; said NRB source adding that &ldquo;It will be more difficult to solve the problem in future if the forceful action results other problems.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;At present, NRB has prepared the initial draft of the possible actions to be taken against the banks which it was preparing since last six months. &nbsp;&ldquo;NRB has already made the draft and discussion will begin as soon as the monetary policy comes,&rdquo; informed the source. According to the source, NRB has planned to bring the work procedure by the second week of Shrawan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though government argued that the market monitoring has been done for a year to maintain the quality and also to control the price, purchase of daily goods in the market is increasingly out of reach for ordinary consumers. &nbsp;According to the economic report of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) in the first 10 month of current fiscal year, the price of pulse and legumes has increased the highest of 23.4 percent whereas, the price of vegetables has increased by 20.1 percent. However, in practice the inflation rate is much higher than in the statistic by NRB.</p>

<p>Raj Kumar Shrestha, General Secretary of Retail Trade Association admits that the price of sugar, pulses and other essential foods have increased since few days. &ldquo;The price of some essential goods has increased 7-8 percent,&rdquo; he says.</p>

<p>He explains that retailers are not responsible for the increase in price. &ldquo;Wholesalers are more responsible than retailers for the increase in price,&rdquo; he said. Chairman of the National Consumer Forum, Prem Lal Maharjan says that the market has been out of control of the government. &ldquo;The ministry team that went for market monitoring has been attacked,&rdquo; he says adding, &ldquo;This is the evidence about how anarchic the market has been.&rdquo; He said it is due to the failure of government to perform the interventionist role to control the market situation. The team of supply minister Ganesh Man Pun in coordination with Department of Supply management and Consumer Welfare protection were physically attacked at Balkhu Vegetable market in capital on Tuesday. He said that the anarchy in the market was flourished as the consumer right act along with rules and regulation were traditional and not effective. According to consumer right activists, there are Food Act, Metrology and Quality act, The Drug Act, Black Market and Social Crime Act Essential Service and Object Operation Act along with other 2 dozen Acts concerning the consumers. However, the chaos in market has flourished due to the lack of implementation as well as timely amendments of laws concerning with consumer rights.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The government has selected 533,058 homes as advantage seekers from the 11 districts. &ldquo;Out of this number, agreement with 220,000 households for the aid of has already been finalized,&rdquo; informs Ram Prasad Thapaliya, Spokesperson of NRA. According to him, the agreed 26,986 homes have already received money in first installment.</p>

As per the decision, the bank will distribute 20 percent bonus share and 1.05 percent cash dividend. The bank decided to provide the bonus from the income of fiscal year 2071/2072 to increase the paid-up capital. The AGM also passed a proposal to issue right shares in the ratio of 1:1 to increase the capital.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">BBBL has collected the deposits of Rs 1.47 billion and extended the credit of Rs 1.14 billion by the first week of July of current FY. &ldquo;The operating profit has increased due to the significant increase in deposits and credit extension,&rdquo; said Pushkar Raj Joshi, CEO of BBBL.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Currently, the bank is providing its services through seven branches in Banke, Bardiya and Dang districts.&nbsp; According to the bank, the eighth branch is going to be opened in Bhurigaun, Bardiya.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the details of troubled Samjhana Finance and Himalayan Finance were not available. On the basis of percentage, finance companies have logged the highest profit. The profit of such companies has amounted to Rs 2.13 billion increasing by 84 percent compare to last year. Similarly, development banks have registered a total profit of Rs 4.61 billion increasing by 20 percent. &nbsp;Meanwhile, profit of commercial banks have totaled Rs 26 billion in the review period increasing by more than 18 percent compared to same period of the last year. Likewise, 41 microfinance companies that are under operation increased their profit by 38 percent totaling Rs 2.88 billion during the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the paid-up capital of BFIs has increased by Rs 18.58 billion since mid-June 2015. The increase is attributed to the capital plan of BFIs implemented by NRB last year.&nbsp; After the central bank&rsquo;s directive, BFIs have aggressively embarked on increasing their paid-up capital. Currently, the total paid-up capital of BFIs has reached Rs 159.38 billion. The amount is seven percent of GDP which was earlier 6.26 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During the review period, the deposits of BFIs have increased by 18 percent reaching Rs 1,965 billion. Similarly, BFIs have extended their loans to Rs 1, 567 billion increasing by 19 percent. The extension of loan has increased by Rs 200 billion since mid-June 2015. In the meantime, the credit to deposit (CD) ratio has been registered at 78 percent. The CD ratio of development banks and finance companies is slightly higher even the NRB had directed to maintain CD ratio at 80 percent. During the review period, average interest on deposits was registered three percent while interest on loans has been averaged at 9.3 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statistics of the department, 3,379 and 640 firms are inspected in Kathmandu valley and outside the valley respectively. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, among the inspected firms, &nbsp;it took action against those that have mismatch the quality and standards, forged marked price and labels and ignored hygiene, VAT and PAN registration. The department informed that action have been taken against 448 firms for not updating the price-list, 260 firms for not keeping&nbsp; signboards and 424 firms for not &nbsp;following the label. Similarly, it found out that 365 firms have not registered and renewed their businesses and 279 firms have not used proper measuring equipments. Likewise, the department found that 41 firms have not taken food license documents, 105 firms have not maintained proper hygiene. Moreover, 304 firms have not registered on VAT and PAN and 339 firms have been distributing date expired medicines.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, it took action against the culprit firms among the inspected firms. In the process, 33 firms were closed down, cases were filed against 15 firms and 296 firms were demanded clarification. The department also directed 24 firms for increasing capital, recommended action against 10 firms and given other guidelines for 656 firms.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Recently, Machhapuchhare Bank and Janata Bank had submitted a proposal in NRB to break the merger. In the context, BOD meeting of NRB suggested to lengthen the restriction in the share transactions of those banks as an action. However, it would have violate the consumers right of trading shares, thus the majority of BOD didn&rsquo;t approve the action. Similarly, due to the lack of rules and regulation, NRB could not decide of other actions to be taken on the banks. Thus, NRB set the banks free with a simple warning.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;NRB has not been able to take solid action against those banks that break merger except of giving warning although the merger process consumes big financial sum and time due to the short of rules and regulation. &ldquo;We cannot force banks to merge if both the banks want to demerge,&rdquo; said NRB source adding that &ldquo;It will be more difficult to solve the problem in future if the forceful action results other problems.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;At present, NRB has prepared the initial draft of the possible actions to be taken against the banks which it was preparing since last six months. &nbsp;&ldquo;NRB has already made the draft and discussion will begin as soon as the monetary policy comes,&rdquo; informed the source. According to the source, NRB has planned to bring the work procedure by the second week of Shrawan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though government argued that the market monitoring has been done for a year to maintain the quality and also to control the price, purchase of daily goods in the market is increasingly out of reach for ordinary consumers. &nbsp;According to the economic report of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) in the first 10 month of current fiscal year, the price of pulse and legumes has increased the highest of 23.4 percent whereas, the price of vegetables has increased by 20.1 percent. However, in practice the inflation rate is much higher than in the statistic by NRB.</p>

<p>Raj Kumar Shrestha, General Secretary of Retail Trade Association admits that the price of sugar, pulses and other essential foods have increased since few days. &ldquo;The price of some essential goods has increased 7-8 percent,&rdquo; he says.</p>

<p>He explains that retailers are not responsible for the increase in price. &ldquo;Wholesalers are more responsible than retailers for the increase in price,&rdquo; he said. Chairman of the National Consumer Forum, Prem Lal Maharjan says that the market has been out of control of the government. &ldquo;The ministry team that went for market monitoring has been attacked,&rdquo; he says adding, &ldquo;This is the evidence about how anarchic the market has been.&rdquo; He said it is due to the failure of government to perform the interventionist role to control the market situation. The distribution of money in relief aid has already been started by National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) in these areas. <p style="text-align: justify;">The government has selected 533,058 homes as advantage seekers from the 11 districts. &ldquo;Out of this number, agreement with 220,000 households for the aid of has already been finalized,&rdquo; informs Ram Prasad Thapaliya, Spokesperson of NRA. According to him, the agreed 26,986 homes have already received money in first installment.</p>

On the basis of percentage, finance companies have logged the highest profit. The profit of such companies has amounted to Rs 2.13 billion increasing by 84 percent compare to last year. Similarly, development banks have registered a total profit of Rs 4.61 billion increasing by 20 percent. &nbsp;Meanwhile, profit of commercial banks have totaled Rs 26 billion in the review period increasing by more than 18 percent compared to same period of the last year. Likewise, 41 microfinance companies that are under operation increased their profit by 38 percent totaling Rs 2.88 billion during the review period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the paid-up capital of BFIs has increased by Rs 18.58 billion since mid-June 2015. The increase is attributed to the capital plan of BFIs implemented by NRB last year.&nbsp; After the central bank&rsquo;s directive, BFIs have aggressively embarked on increasing their paid-up capital. Currently, the total paid-up capital of BFIs has reached Rs 159.38 billion. The amount is seven percent of GDP which was earlier 6.26 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During the review period, the deposits of BFIs have increased by 18 percent reaching Rs 1,965 billion. Similarly, BFIs have extended their loans to Rs 1, 567 billion increasing by 19 percent. The extension of loan has increased by Rs 200 billion since mid-June 2015. In the meantime, the credit to deposit (CD) ratio has been registered at 78 percent. The CD ratio of development banks and finance companies is slightly higher even the NRB had directed to maintain CD ratio at 80 percent. During the review period, average interest on deposits was registered three percent while interest on loans has been averaged at 9.3 percent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statistics of the department, 3,379 and 640 firms are inspected in Kathmandu valley and outside the valley respectively. &nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, among the inspected firms, &nbsp;it took action against those that have mismatch the quality and standards, forged marked price and labels and ignored hygiene, VAT and PAN registration. The department informed that action have been taken against 448 firms for not updating the price-list, 260 firms for not keeping&nbsp; signboards and 424 firms for not &nbsp;following the label. Similarly, it found out that 365 firms have not registered and renewed their businesses and 279 firms have not used proper measuring equipments. Likewise, the department found that 41 firms have not taken food license documents, 105 firms have not maintained proper hygiene. Moreover, 304 firms have not registered on VAT and PAN and 339 firms have been distributing date expired medicines.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the department, it took action against the culprit firms among the inspected firms. In the process, 33 firms were closed down, cases were filed against 15 firms and 296 firms were demanded clarification. The department also directed 24 firms for increasing capital, recommended action against 10 firms and given other guidelines for 656 firms.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Recently, Machhapuchhare Bank and Janata Bank had submitted a proposal in NRB to break the merger. In the context, BOD meeting of NRB suggested to lengthen the restriction in the share transactions of those banks as an action. However, it would have violate the consumers right of trading shares, thus the majority of BOD didn&rsquo;t approve the action. Similarly, due to the lack of rules and regulation, NRB could not decide of other actions to be taken on the banks. Thus, NRB set the banks free with a simple warning.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;NRB has not been able to take solid action against those banks that break merger except of giving warning although the merger process consumes big financial sum and time due to the short of rules and regulation. &ldquo;We cannot force banks to merge if both the banks want to demerge,&rdquo; said NRB source adding that &ldquo;It will be more difficult to solve the problem in future if the forceful action results other problems.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;At present, NRB has prepared the initial draft of the possible actions to be taken against the banks which it was preparing since last six months. &nbsp;&ldquo;NRB has already made the draft and discussion will begin as soon as the monetary policy comes,&rdquo; informed the source. According to the source, NRB has planned to bring the work procedure by the second week of Shrawan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though government argued that the market monitoring has been done for a year to maintain the quality and also to control the price, purchase of daily goods in the market is increasingly out of reach for ordinary consumers. &nbsp;According to the economic report of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) in the first 10 month of current fiscal year, the price of pulse and legumes has increased the highest of 23.4 percent whereas, the price of vegetables has increased by 20.1 percent. However, in practice the inflation rate is much higher than in the statistic by NRB.</p>

<p>Raj Kumar Shrestha, General Secretary of Retail Trade Association admits that the price of sugar, pulses and other essential foods have increased since few days. &ldquo;The price of some essential goods has increased 7-8 percent,&rdquo; he says.</p>

<p>He explains that retailers are not responsible for the increase in price. &ldquo;Wholesalers are more responsible than retailers for the increase in price,&rdquo; he said. Chairman of the National Consumer Forum, Prem Lal Maharjan says that the market has been out of control of the government. &ldquo;The ministry team that went for market monitoring has been attacked,&rdquo; he says adding, &ldquo;This is the evidence about how anarchic the market has been.&rdquo; He said it is due to the failure of government to perform the interventionist role to control the market situation. The team of supply minister Ganesh Man Pun in coordination with Department of Supply management and Consumer Welfare protection were physically attacked at Balkhu Vegetable market in capital on Tuesday. He said that the anarchy in the market was flourished as the consumer right act along with rules and regulation were traditional and not effective. According to consumer right activists, there are Food Act, Metrology and Quality act, The Drug Act, Black Market and Social Crime Act Essential Service and Object Operation Act along with other 2 dozen Acts concerning the consumers. However, the chaos in market has flourished due to the lack of implementation as well as timely amendments of laws concerning with consumer rights.</p>

<p>The department that has been given the primary responsibility of supply management and monitoring of the market informs that the market is being monitored regularly. The department informs that the market is being monitored according to the available resources. According to Director General of the department, Gokul Prasad Dhital, the inflation is caused due to bulky budget and increase in salary of government employees. The department says that consumers should be aware of the price and quality of the goods.</p>

The distribution of money in relief aid has already been started by National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) in these areas. According to survey of Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA), there are more than 115,000 earthquake victims in the valley.&nbsp; However, the CBS predicts that the number may increase to 150,000 on the base of the complaints that have risen in the recent months. As per the Bureau, it will be providing training to 500 social workers, 500 engineers and 50 supervisors from June 9 to 15.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The government has selected 533,058 homes as advantage seekers from the 11 districts. &ldquo;Out of this number, agreement with 220,000 households for the aid of has already been finalized,&rdquo; informs Ram Prasad Thapaliya, Spokesperson of NRA. According to him, the agreed 26,986 homes have already received money in first installment.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, NRA has demanded Rs 10 billion additional fund to Ministry of Finance (MoF) for the distribution of money. MoF has already dispensed Rs 35 billion for the purpose. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
