Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza has come up with its first food promotion of 2014. The Garden Terrace restaurant of the Hotel has started the promotion of Wraps and Rolls from 21st January which will last till the end of this month. “We have numerous food promotions lined up for 2014. This is our first promotion for the year, and it has been very successful so far,” said Rena Sharma, Marketing and Public Relations Manager of the Hotel. 
 
According to Yuba Raj Pokhrel, Executive Sous Chef at Soaltee, wraps and rolls are served the world around and are extremely popular. “Almost every cuisine has wraps of some sort. Our team has carefully selected the best wraps and rolls from all the cuisines possible,” said Pokhrel. The wraps served at Garden terrace make up for a delicious quick meal that is also very filling. The wraps and rolls on the promotional menu are derived from popular cuisines like Italian, Indian, American and English among others. According to Pokhrel, all the ingredients required are imported to maintain the authentic taste of the respective cuisine. 
 
Oriental wraps are dominant in the menu, with Thai, Vietnamese and Indian taste. The creative part about the menu is that all the wraps and rolls are served with some accompaniments complimenting the cuisine.  Thai Rice Paper Summer Roll is one of the interesting roll. It is prepared by rolling marinated chicken and glass noodles in rice paper, and is served with sweet chilli sauce, dry fish, egg salad and tomyom broth for authentic Thai taste. For an Indian touch, you can try Nawabi Kathi Rolls. It comes with reshmi chicken kebab and tikka rolled in a thin paratha. It is accompanied by sweet mango, mint chutney and papdi chat. 
 
It’s hard to pick a winner among the rolls, but if you listen to Pokhrel, Levorno Pisa Ham and Cheese Roll has to be the star roll. It is made by rolling ham slices, cheese and pesto marinated lettuce in tortilla, and is served with gorgonzola dip chips and fired potato wedges. Some of the other varieties include Jamaican Blackened Pork Steak Soft Taco, California Tuna Wrap, Royal Birmingham Wrap and Canadian Paprika Chicken Wrap among many others. 
 
There are a few desserts which play along with the entire ‘wrap’ theme. French crepes stuffed with chocolate, compote and fruit glaze comes along with condensed milk savoury. Thai banana pancake served with crunchy fried bananas and dates is another sweet option. 
 
All the wraps are served in generous portions and is enough to fill a hungry belly. Garden Terrace is the place to be all this month if you want to wrap yourself in tastes from around the world.
