Biruwa Organized ‘Udhyami Bhetghat’ On Tourism

Biruwa Ventures in association with Udhyami Impact Fund (UIF) organized a tourism-centred programme titled ‘Udhyami Bhetghat’ on December 11. The main objective of the event was to assist entrepreneurs to develop their professional network and aid knowledge sharing within the Nepali entrepreneurial community. The event brought together entrepreneurs from various sectors like travel, tourism and hospitality.  
 
According to the organizers, the programme’s main objective was to foster entrepreneurial spirit in the economy. There were series of interactions among the experts and entrepreneurs belonging to different sectors. Similarly, the participants also shared their ideas and experiences with each other.
 
There were 40 participants in the event including Rajendra Suwal, CEO, Nepal Nature dot com travels, Ujjwal Satyal, Executive Director of Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management and Kashi Raj Bhandari, Director of Planning and Monitoring, Nepal Tourism Board. The experts suggested potential sectors through which Nepal can benefit from. 
 
Suwal said in the programme that Nepal needs to capitalize on its great culture and natural resources. He also emphasized on the development of eco-tourism. Bhandari focussed on the development of infrastructure to boost tourism in Nepal. He identified three main aspects essential for tourism development. “Conservation of historic monument, war tourism and solving of legal hurdles are three main aspects that should be focused”, said Bhandari. He further added that guerrilla trail has been created in Rolpa and Rukum for the study of War Tourism. Likewise, Ujjwal Satyal said that Nepal can benefit by manufacturing kitchen equipment in the country.
 
Biruwa organizes similar programme every other month focussing on various sectors.
