Made-in-Pakistan Exhibition Kicks Off

The fourth edition of Made in Pakistan exhibition kicked off on Wednesday in the capital at United World Trade Centre, Tripureshwor. Jointly organized by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu, the exhibition is focused on showcasing various Pakistani products 
in Nepal.
 
Inaugurating the exhibition, Minister of Finance, Shankar Koirala stressed on the necessity of expansion of bilateral relations between Nepal and Pakistan. “Nepal and Pakistan share very cordial relations, but the trade volume between these countries is still very low,” Koirala added. 
 
“These sorts of event will help to renew and optimize our bilateral relations and we promise to organize such programmes in Pakistan with collaboration with the private sector of Nepal.” Koirala said. 
 
The seven-day (September 11-17) long expo has 45 stalls showcasing Pakistani products like wooden furniture, textile products, garments, leather jackets, footwear, artificial jewelries and handicrafts among others. 
 
Arshed Saud Khosa, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal said that this exhibition is a good opportunity to introduce new products to large number of people and it helps in enhancing the goodwill between two countries which is the main reason behind this exhibition. 
 
Calling upon the Nepali business community to organize such events in Pakistan, ambassador Khosa said, 
“We look forward to develop continuous business exchange between two countries.”
 
Himalaya SJB Rana, Chairman of Pakistan-Nepal Federation said that the exemplary relation between two nations has yet to be turned to an exemplary trade relationships. Former Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, Bal Bhadra Kunwar also emphasized on the importance of the exhibition. Kunwar said that Nepal is looking forward for the Pakistani investors to come to invest in Nepal and further extend the trade relations to a greater height.
 
There are 45 stalls and more than a group of 75 businessmen from Pakistan participating in the fair. The fair is expecting around 70, 000 visitors.
