According to Naresh Bhakta Shrestha, owner of the Hotel, most of the customers here are international tourist. “We also see domestic tourists, but they make up for only 25 per cent of our total customers,” says Shrestha. According to him, Nepali families and businessmen visit the Hotel for holidays and for conducting seminars and conferences.
One of the best things about the Hotel is its location, and it really lives up to its name. The view from the hotel and the rooms is just amazing, and on a clear day, you can enjoy the unobstructed view of the majestic Himalayas. The Hotel is also perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets, and also offers a good view of Kathmandu Valley. According to Shrestha, the best season to visit here is from August to December.
The restaurant of the Hotel serves Nepali, Indian, Chinese and Continental delicacies and can cater to a hundred diners at once. The price of the rooms range from USD 30 to 65 for foreigners, and there are special packages for Nepalis. The packages range from Rs 1800 to Rs 3500 per person, and include room charge, dinner and breakfast.
