There may be very few things that feel as good as a glass of fine whiskey on a rainy evening, or may be a tall glass of vodka on rocks on a hot summer day. Drinking is one of the things that many associate with pleasure and merriment. A few good acquaintances, equally good liquor and an ambience to suit the both, and you indeed have the formula for fun. Bugles and Tigers Bar at The Everest Hotel boasts of all the fine elixirs, and an ambience to gulp them down and ask for more. 

Sitting proudly on the seventh floor of the Hotel, the Bar provides a nice view of the city. The bar looks and is cozy, with comfortable couches and chairs and tables. The bar is also known as Gurkha Bar, as it is decorated by medals, artifacts and other articles related to the Gorkha soldiers. According to Deepesh KC, Food and Beverage Director of Everest Hotel, the bar celebrates the bravery and courage of the soldiers. He also informed that the decorations are presented by the soldiers themselves.

The bar has been quenching the thirst of its customers since last 25 years. It serves numerous premium drinks, from aperitifs to liqueurs and everything in between. The bar boasts of 14 varieties of single malt whiskeys including Glenfiddich, Laphroaig, Taliskar and Caol Ila among other brands. All Johnny Walker whiskies like Black, Green, Gold and Blue are well stocked.

There is also a nice assortment of French, Spanish, Australian and Chilean wines. All domestic and imported beers are also served by the bar. Vodkas, rums, cognacs, premium whiskies, ask for it and you will have it. Furthermore, all the classic cocktails are there, along with a few signature ones. Everest Parfait is one of the signature cocktails of the bar, a vodka based cocktail with fresh cream, grenadine, mango and orange juice and parfait amour. The bar serves a few starters to go with the drinks. The best selling starters here are crispy fried salt and pepper duck, haans ko chhoila, tex mex fish with garlic sauce, khasi ko sukuti and crumb fried mushrooms among others. The happy hour is from 5:15 to 7:15, and it offers a 30 per cent discount. Come and get high as the bar itself.
