<p>&ldquo;The current industrial policy is not investment friendly. As a result, there has been very minimal investment in the industrial sector, prompting maximum import of goods from overseas,&rdquo; he said while addressing a program in the capital on Tuesday, January 30.</p>

<p>Addressing the 27<sup>th</sup> anniversary of Deurali-Janta Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd, he further added that the policy which encourages and supports industrial sector and promotes export will help the government to alleviate poverty of the country in a very short period of time. Sharma is also the executive director of Deurali-Janta Pharmaceutical.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The investment and industrial-friendly policy will encourage more entrepreneurs to establish industries in the country, which will help reduce the number of youths travelling overseas for foreign employment,&rdquo; he said, urging the government to amend and form industrial policy as per the need of the country.</p>

<p>Similarly, addressing the event, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun requested the current and the upcoming government to form industrial policy which promotes and encourages the private sector of the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepal has immense possibility to be self-reliant on pharmaceutical products. The country is blessed with enough raw materials to produce different kinds of drugs. The export of pharmaceutical products alone can also decrease the ballooning trade deficit of the country,&rdquo; he said, adding that the country in the last fiscal year imported 56 percent of the total drugs in demand from overseas.</p>

<p>There are a total of 120 pharmaceutical industries in the country, and the pharmaceutical market is of Rs 40 billion. Pun further added that Nepal had exported pharmaceutical products worth Rs 708.5 million in the last fiscal year, which shows that the country has immense possibility to export drugs to the foreign medical market.</p>

<p>According to Umesh Lal Shrestha, vice-president of FNCCI, the expo will play an important role in expanding the international trade relations of Nepal.</p>

<p>The organizers are expecting around 200,000 visitors in the expo.</p>

<p>In the last edition, more than 100,000 foreign and local visitors had observed the expo.&nbsp; There were 340 stalls in the expo last year, according to FNCCI.</p>

<p>Anil Kumar Agrawal, vice president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) and managing director of Shree Cement, blamed the government for being failing to solve the problems of the cement industries.</p>

<p>According to him, 13 cement industries of Bara and Parsa are compelled to bring clinker at higher prices. Earlier, unloading clinker at Raxaul railway yard used to cost Rs 1,500 per metric tonne which now costs Rs 3,500.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have to run our industry at any cost,&rdquo; said Agrawal, adding, &ldquo;We are getting raw materials by paying higher rate.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The Indian Railways prohibited unloading clinker at Raxaul following protests from the locals who claimed that the clinker had caused pollution. The locals of Raxaul even resorted to blocking the border check point.</p>

<p>A local court directed the railway authorities to shift the clinker unloading spot to some other place.</p>

<p>Nepal&rsquo;s cement industries also blamed the local clinker producers of hiking the price in their own interests. According to a cement manufacturer, the cost of clinker has reached Rs 4,000 per metric ton. <p>According to Qatar Airways, the test A350-1000 aircraft undertaking the 30,000 nautical mile tour, is one of the three such aircrafts owned by Airbus, and is equipped with fully functional Business Class and Economy Class cabins. The mid-sized long-haul aircraft is assembled by Airbus at its facility in Toulouse, France. The A350-1000 is 23 feet longer than its sister aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, for which Qatar Airways was also the global launch customer.</p>

<p>The A350-1000 offers a substantial increase in capacity with extra seating onboard, a more powerful Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engine, a modified wing trailing edge and a new six-wheel main landing gear. <p>&ldquo;Nepal has immense possibility to be self-reliant on pharmaceutical products. The country is blessed with enough raw materials to produce different kinds of drugs. The export of pharmaceutical products alone can also decrease the ballooning trade deficit of the country,&rdquo; he said, adding that the country in the last fiscal year imported 56 percent of the total drugs in demand from overseas.</p>

<p>There are a total of 120 pharmaceutical industries in the country, and the pharmaceutical market is of Rs 40 billion. Pun further added that Nepal had exported pharmaceutical products worth Rs 708.5 million in the last fiscal year, which shows that the country has immense possibility to export drugs to the foreign medical market.</p>

<p>According to him, 13 cement industries of Bara and Parsa are compelled to bring clinker at higher prices. Earlier, unloading clinker at Raxaul railway yard used to cost Rs 1,500 per metric tonne which now costs Rs 3,500.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have to run our industry at any cost,&rdquo; said Agrawal, adding, &ldquo;We are getting raw materials by paying higher rate.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The Indian Railways prohibited unloading clinker at Raxaul following protests from the locals who claimed that the clinker had caused pollution. The locals of Raxaul even resorted to blocking the border check point.</p>

<p>Nepal&rsquo;s cement industries also blamed the local clinker producers of hiking the price in their own interests. <p>According to Qatar Airways, the test A350-1000 aircraft undertaking the 30,000 nautical mile tour, is one of the three such aircrafts owned by Airbus, and is equipped with fully functional Business Class and Economy Class cabins. The mid-sized long-haul aircraft is assembled by Airbus at its facility in Toulouse, France. The A350-1000 is 23 feet longer than its sister aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, for which Qatar Airways was also the global launch customer.</p>

<p>The A350-1000 offers a substantial increase in capacity with extra seating onboard, a more powerful Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engine, a modified wing trailing edge and a new six-wheel main landing gear. It also provides enhanced levels of passenger comfort, thanks to its advanced light-weight carbon composite design and high-quality interior finish, reads the statement.</p>

<p>Qatar Airways said it operates a wide range of Airbus passenger and cargo aircraft in its fleet, which is one of the youngest in the world, with an average age of just five years. <p>&ldquo;Nepal has immense possibility to be self-reliant on pharmaceutical products. The country is blessed with enough raw materials to produce different kinds of drugs. The export of pharmaceutical products alone can also decrease the ballooning trade deficit of the country,&rdquo; he said, adding that the country in the last fiscal year imported 56 percent of the total drugs in demand from overseas.</p>

<p>There are a total of 120 pharmaceutical industries in the country, and the pharmaceutical market is of Rs 40 billion. Pun further added that Nepal had exported pharmaceutical products worth Rs 708.5 million in the last fiscal year, which shows that the country has immense possibility to export drugs to the foreign medical market.</p>

<p>There will be 300 stalls in the expo and the main attraction will be handicrafts product. Besides this, there will be separate stalls for IT and business information; agricultural products; energy; materials for building and construction; iron and steel; and automobiles.</p>

<p>According to FNCCI President Bhawani Rana, the expo will help in promoting entrepreneurship and increase possibilities in entrepreneurial scene. &ldquo;The expo is one of the means which will contribute to the economic growth of Nepal,&rdquo; she said.</p>

<p>Rana shared that Nepal has not only just been organising expo in the country but has also been participating in expo organised in different countries including India and China.&nbsp; Due to this, the financial trade relations of Nepal with India and China have been very strong, Rana said.</p>

<p>According to Umesh Lal Shrestha, vice-president of FNCCI, the expo will play an important role in expanding the international trade relations of Nepal.</p>

<p>The organizers are expecting around 200,000 visitors in the expo.</p>

<p>In the last edition, more than 100,000 foreign and local visitors had observed the expo.&nbsp; There were 340 stalls in the expo last year, according to FNCCI.</p>

<p>The cement industries have started importing clinker from Narayanpur station which is near to Muzaffarpur, India.</p>

<p>Anil Kumar Agrawal, vice president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) and managing director of Shree Cement, blamed the government for being failing to solve the problems of the cement industries.</p>

<p>According to him, 13 cement industries of Bara and Parsa are compelled to bring clinker at higher prices. Earlier, unloading clinker at Raxaul railway yard used to cost Rs 1,500 per metric tonne which now costs Rs 3,500.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have to run our industry at any cost,&rdquo; said Agrawal, adding, &ldquo;We are getting raw materials by paying higher rate.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The Indian Railways prohibited unloading clinker at Raxaul following protests from the locals who claimed that the clinker had caused pollution. The locals of Raxaul even resorted to blocking the border check point.</p>

<p>A local court directed the railway authorities to shift the clinker unloading spot to some other place.</p>

<p>Nepal&rsquo;s cement industries also blamed the local clinker producers of hiking the price in their own interests. According to a cement manufacturer, the cost of clinker has reached Rs 4,000 per metric ton. He mentioned that this has created problems for the cement industries in pricing.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Qatar Airways, the test A350-1000 aircraft undertaking the 30,000 nautical mile tour, is one of the three such aircrafts owned by Airbus, and is equipped with fully functional Business Class and Economy Class cabins. The A350-1000 is 23 feet longer than its sister aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, for which Qatar Airways was also the global launch customer.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The current industrial policy is not investment friendly. As a result, there has been very minimal investment in the industrial sector, prompting maximum import of goods from overseas,&rdquo; he said while addressing a program in the capital on Tuesday, January 30.</p>

<p>Addressing the 27<sup>th</sup> anniversary of Deurali-Janta Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd, he further added that the policy which encourages and supports industrial sector and promotes export will help the government to alleviate poverty of the country in a very short period of time. Sharma is also the executive director of Deurali-Janta Pharmaceutical.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The investment and industrial-friendly policy will encourage more entrepreneurs to establish industries in the country, which will help reduce the number of youths travelling overseas for foreign employment,&rdquo; he said, urging the government to amend and form industrial policy as per the need of the country.</p>

<p>Similarly, addressing the event, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun requested the current and the upcoming government to form industrial policy which promotes and encourages the private sector of the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepal has immense possibility to be self-reliant on pharmaceutical products. The country is blessed with enough raw materials to produce different kinds of drugs. The export of pharmaceutical products alone can also decrease the ballooning trade deficit of the country,&rdquo; he said, adding that the country in the last fiscal year imported 56 percent of the total drugs in demand from overseas.</p>

<p>There are a total of 120 pharmaceutical industries in the country, and the pharmaceutical market is of Rs 40 billion. Pun further added that Nepal had exported pharmaceutical products worth Rs 708.5 million in the last fiscal year, which shows that the country has immense possibility to export drugs to the foreign medical market.</p>

<p>According to Umesh Lal Shrestha, vice-president of FNCCI, the expo will play an important role in expanding the international trade relations of Nepal.</p>

<p>The organizers are expecting around 200,000 visitors in the expo.</p>

<p>In the last edition, more than 100,000 foreign and local visitors had observed the expo.&nbsp; There were 340 stalls in the expo last year, according to FNCCI.</p>

<p>According to him, 13 cement industries of Bara and Parsa are compelled to bring clinker at higher prices. Earlier, unloading clinker at Raxaul railway yard used to cost Rs 1,500 per metric tonne which now costs Rs 3,500.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We have to run our industry at any cost,&rdquo; said Agrawal, adding, &ldquo;We are getting raw materials by paying higher rate.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The Indian Railways prohibited unloading clinker at Raxaul following protests from the locals who claimed that the clinker had caused pollution. The locals of Raxaul even resorted to blocking the border check point.</p>

<p>A local court directed the railway authorities to shift the clinker unloading spot to some other place.</p>

<p>Nepal&rsquo;s cement industries also blamed the local clinker producers of hiking the price in their own interests. According to a cement manufacturer, the cost of clinker has reached Rs 4,000 per metric ton.
