<p>The National Accounts Statistics of the Central Bureau of Statistics shows that the contribution of the sector would decline by 1.15 percent in comparison to the last fiscal year.</p>

<p>The contribution of the agricultural sector to the GDP has been declining with each passing year. The statistics shows that the contribution of agricultural sector has been declining since the last five years.</p>

<p>The agricultural sector, which has been the major contributor to the economy, will have a share of 27.10 percent in the total GDP of the country in the Fiscal Year 2017/2018. In the Fiscal Year 2013/2014, the agricultural sector had a contribution of 32.16 percent, which declined to 31.27 percent in the Fiscal Year 2014/2015.</p>

<p>Likewise, in the Fiscal Year 2015/2016, the contribution was 31.08 percent, which plunged massively to 28.25 percent.</p>

<p>According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, the massive flood during the start of the current fiscal year had affected the agricultural sector badly. The data of the ministry shows that the flood caused damages worth Rs 5.84 billion to the sector.</p>

<p>Nepal&rsquo;s Consular General to Kolkata, Ek Narayan Aryal, confirmed that the system has been implemented on&nbsp; goods brought to Kolkata port from third countries.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The system will ease Nepal&rsquo;s import and will also help in minimizing delays at the port,&rdquo; Aryal told New Business Age.</p>

<p>After other ports started handling Nepal-bound cargo, Kolkata port started improving the facilities provided to Nepali importers with the introduction of new technology and better infrastructure.</p>

<p>&ldquo;This is a good opportunity for Nepal,&rdquo; said Aryal, adding, &ldquo;This opportunity needs to be properly utilize by Nepali importers.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Kolkata port started the trial of ECTS system on internal transportation from March of 2016 with the assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB).</p>

<p>More than 80 percent import of Nepal from third countries come via Kolkata port. The system will be effective for both railway and road transportation. Similarly, the system will be implemented in Haldiya and Visakhapatnam ports as well, informed Aryal.</p>

<p>The premium collection of the nine companies has increased by 32.59 percent during the month of Falgun in comparison to Magh. According to the report of the Insurance Board, the new companies had collected insurance premium of Rs 884.3 million as of Magh.</p>

<p>Union Life Insurance has collected the highest amount of insurance premium of Rs 410.7 million by the end of Falgun. The premium collection of the company was Rs 330 million during the month of Magh. The company had collected premium from 28,359 individuals during the month of Magh. Additional 7,665 individuals purchased their premium during Falgun.</p>

<p>Sanima Life Insurance also recorded an increase in its premium collection in Falgun as ompared to Magh. There was 165 percent increment in insurance premium collection of Sanima Life in Falgun. The company had collected Rs 7.3 million during the month of Falgun. It had only collected Rs 2.7 million in Magh.</p>

<p>Jyoti Life Insurance also gained 143 percent increment in premium collection during the month of Falgun. The company had earned premium of Rs 30.4 million in Magh but its premium collection reached Rs 74 million in Falgun.</p>

<p>Banks and other financial institutions have already presented their third quarter financial report but insurance companies are yet present theirs. &nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the statistics of the bank, the net income of NRB stood at Rs 23.17 billion in the FY 2012/13 while it went down to Rs 12.7 billion in the FY 2014/15. The bank had earned Rs 37.76 billion profit in the FY 2015/16 but faced net loss of Rs 7 billion in the FY 2016/17.</p>

<p>The main objective of the central bank is to stabilize the price level, exchange rate and financial system.</p>

Likewise, Chandrakala Kshetri from Naya Patrika won KIEC Global Female Photojournalism Award 2074; Naresh Kumar Shrestha (Freelance photojournalist) won Patan Path Lab Freelance Photojournalism Award 2074. Similarly, Thaha Darshan Adhyan Pratisthan Political Photojournalism Award 2074 was awarded to Ratna Krishna Shrestha from RSS. Prabin Koirala (Nepalkhabar.com) won Heavy Help Link Online Photojournalism Award 2074.</p>

			'content' => '<p>April 27: Private sector of the country has urged the government to bring monetary policy that helps attract foreign investment in the country.</p>

<p>As the government is in the process of preparing budget for the Fiscal Year 2018/2019, the private sector has drawn the attention of the government stating that investment-friendly policy will help the industrial and productive sector of the country to grow rapidly.</p>

<p>The private sector said so in a program organized by the Management Association of Nepal (MAN) in Kathmandu&nbsp;on Thursday, April 26. Speaking at the event, President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Hari Bhakta Sharma said that the monetary policy should ensure foreign investment in the productive sector of the country.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&ldquo;The policies should be reformed. The country should be self-reliant on basic needs,&quot; he said, adding that the monetary policy should address all the issues.</p>

<p>The contribution of the agricultural sector to the GDP has been declining with each passing year. The statistics shows that the contribution of agricultural sector has been declining since the last five years.</p>

<p>The agricultural sector, which has been the major contributor to the economy, will have a share of 27.10 percent in the total GDP of the country in the Fiscal Year 2017/2018. In the Fiscal Year 2013/2014, the agricultural sector had a contribution of 32.16 percent, which declined to 31.27 percent in the Fiscal Year 2014/2015.</p>

<p>Likewise, in the Fiscal Year 2015/2016, the contribution was 31.08 percent, which plunged massively to 28.25 percent.</p>

<p>According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, the massive flood during the start of the current fiscal year had affected the agricultural sector badly. The data of the ministry shows that the flood caused damages worth Rs 5.84 billion to the sector.</p>

<p>Kolkata port started the trial of ECTS system on internal transportation from March of 2016 with the assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB).</p>

<p>More than 80 percent import of Nepal from third countries come via Kolkata port. The system will be effective for both railway and road transportation. Similarly, the system will be implemented in Haldiya and Visakhapatnam ports as well, informed Aryal.</p>

<p>The premium collection of the nine companies has increased by 32.59 percent during the month of Falgun in comparison to Magh. According to the report of the Insurance Board, the new companies had collected insurance premium of Rs 884.3 million as of Magh.</p>

<p>Union Life Insurance has collected the highest amount of insurance premium of Rs 410.7 million by the end of Falgun. The premium collection of the company was Rs 330 million during the month of Magh. The company had collected premium from 28,359 individuals during the month of Magh. Additional 7,665 individuals purchased their premium during Falgun.</p>

<p>Sanima Life Insurance also recorded an increase in its premium collection in Falgun as ompared to Magh. There was 165 percent increment in insurance premium collection of Sanima Life in Falgun. The company had collected Rs 7.3 million during the month of Falgun. It had only collected Rs 2.7 million in Magh.</p>

<p>Jyoti Life Insurance also gained 143 percent increment in premium collection during the month of Falgun. The company had earned premium of Rs 30.4 million in Magh but its premium collection reached Rs 74 million in Falgun.</p>

<p>Banks and other financial institutions have already presented their third quarter financial report but insurance companies are yet present theirs. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The contribution of the agricultural sector to the GDP has been declining with each passing year. The statistics shows that the contribution of agricultural sector has been declining since the last five years.</p>

<p>The agricultural sector, which has been the major contributor to the economy, will have a share of 27.10 percent in the total GDP of the country in the Fiscal Year 2017/2018. In the Fiscal Year 2013/2014, the agricultural sector had a contribution of 32.16 percent, which declined to 31.27 percent in the Fiscal Year 2014/2015.</p>

<p>Likewise, in the Fiscal Year 2015/2016, the contribution was 31.08 percent, which plunged massively to 28.25 percent.</p>

<p>According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, the massive flood during the start of the current fiscal year had affected the agricultural sector badly. The data of the ministry shows that the flood caused damages worth Rs 5.84 billion to the sector.</p>

<p>The premium collection of the nine companies has increased by 32.59 percent during the month of Falgun in comparison to Magh. According to the report of the Insurance Board, the new companies had collected insurance premium of Rs 884.3 million as of Magh.</p>

<p>Union Life Insurance has collected the highest amount of insurance premium of Rs 410.7 million by the end of Falgun. The premium collection of the company was Rs 330 million during the month of Magh. The company had collected premium from 28,359 individuals during the month of Magh. Additional 7,665 individuals purchased their premium during Falgun.</p>

<p>Sanima Life Insurance also recorded an increase in its premium collection in Falgun as ompared to Magh. There was 165 percent increment in insurance premium collection of Sanima Life in Falgun. The company had collected Rs 7.3 million during the month of Falgun. It had only collected Rs 2.7 million in Magh.</p>

<p>Jyoti Life Insurance also gained 143 percent increment in premium collection during the month of Falgun. The company had earned premium of Rs 30.4 million in Magh but its premium collection reached Rs 74 million in Falgun.</p>

<p>Banks and other financial institutions have already presented their third quarter financial report but insurance companies are yet present theirs. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The contribution of the agricultural sector to the GDP has been declining with each passing year. The statistics shows that the contribution of agricultural sector has been declining since the last five years.</p>

<p>The agricultural sector, which has been the major contributor to the economy, will have a share of 27.10 percent in the total GDP of the country in the Fiscal Year 2017/2018. In the Fiscal Year 2013/2014, the agricultural sector had a contribution of 32.16 percent, which declined to 31.27 percent in the Fiscal Year 2014/2015.</p>

<p>Likewise, in the Fiscal Year 2015/2016, the contribution was 31.08 percent, which plunged massively to 28.25 percent.</p>

<p>According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, the massive flood during the start of the current fiscal year had affected the agricultural sector badly. The data of the ministry shows that the flood caused damages worth Rs 5.84 billion to the sector.</p>

<p>Union Life Insurance has collected the highest amount of insurance premium of Rs 410.7 million by the end of Falgun. The premium collection of the company was Rs 330 million during the month of Magh. The company had collected premium from 28,359 individuals during the month of Magh. Additional 7,665 individuals purchased their premium during Falgun.</p>

<p>Sanima Life Insurance also recorded an increase in its premium collection in Falgun as ompared to Magh. There was 165 percent increment in insurance premium collection of Sanima Life in Falgun. The company had collected Rs 7.3 million during the month of Falgun. It had only collected Rs 2.7 million in Magh.</p>

<p>Jyoti Life Insurance also gained 143 percent increment in premium collection during the month of Falgun. The company had earned premium of Rs 30.4 million in Magh but its premium collection reached Rs 74 million in Falgun.</p>

<p>Altogether 13 photo journalists from different genres were awarded in the programme. Speaker of Parliament Krishna Bahadur Mahara inaugurated the programme by snapping a picture.</p>

<p>NFPJ honored Gopal Chitrakar with the Global IME Life Time Achievement Award 2074. A letter of appreciation and a cheque of Rs 50,000 were handed over to Chitrakar for his important contribution and remarkable moments depicted through photojournalism over the years.</p>

<p>Skanda Gautam of The Himlayan Times succeeded to win two genres of photojournalism award - Mega Bank Best Photojournalism of the Year Award 2074 and Nepal Telecom Daily Life Photojournalism Award 2074. Mahara handed him a letter of appreciation and cheque of Rs 25,000.</p>

<p>Sagar Basnet from Arthik Abhiyan Daily won Panchakanya Group Business Photojournalism Award 2074. Likewise, Chandrakala Kshetri from Naya Patrika won KIEC Global Female Photojournalism Award 2074; Naresh Kumar Shrestha (Freelance photojournalist) won Patan Path Lab Freelance Photojournalism Award 2074. Similarly, Thaha Darshan Adhyan Pratisthan Political Photojournalism Award 2074 was awarded to Ratna Krishna Shrestha from RSS. Prabin Koirala (Nepalkhabar.com) won Heavy Help Link Online Photojournalism Award 2074.</p>

<p>Likewise, Sushil Kumar Shrestha (Rajdhani Daily) won Godavari Village Resort Tourism and Cultural Photojournalism Award 2074, Pankaj Shrestha (Kantipur Media Group) won Sports Photojournalism Award 2074, Aryan Dhimal (DCnepal.com) won Entertainment Photojournalism Award 2074, Manoj Poudel (Kantipur Daily, Kapilbastu) won Provincial (Mofussil) Photojournalism Award 2074 and Narayan Bahadur Silwal (Dhadingpost.com) won NFPJ Active Member Photojournalism Award 2074.</p>

<p>All the winners were honored with cheque of Rs 25,000. The programme was organised to honor national photojournalists who capture and convey important messages through their photo. Addressing the programme, Mahara opined that though photojournalism is a tough job, it reveals the reality and the truth. He stressed on further enhancement of photographers&#39; skill, art and ability.</p>
