<p>The inspirational seminar entitled &ldquo;Strategic Leadership Framework for Success&rdquo; was organized by Ascent Consulting Service at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu on August 10-11.</p>

<p>The program was a big hit among the participants, who chiefly comprised of members of the corporate sector of the country, as they appreciated Rathore and the program with thankful remarks. The participants said they found the program motivating and engaging.</p>

<p>One of the participants of the motivational training informed that he found Rathore&#39;s approach to training to be different. &ldquo;He brings flair, excitement and x-factor, which made everyone of us engaged,&rdquo; said the participant requesting anonymity.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Sunanda Regmi, director of Ascent Consulting Service, informed New Business Age that Rathore made the participants meditate, hop, dance, scream, break the tiles, bend the slim iron rod, walk bare foot on broken glasses and walk bare foot on fire during the event. His techniques are deeply integrated with the topic &quot;strategic leadership&quot;, Regmi added.</p>

<p>The speaker and trainer PS Rathore is a household name in the corporate fraternity in India. He is an admired motivational speaker as well as a chartered accountant and is associated with big corporate houses such as Aditya Birla Group, SCB, Nunhems, Cheminova, Saint Gobain, Tata Group and many more. He is the youngest CWA topper, a qualified hypnotherapist, a TV personality, a visiting faculty of ICAI and ICMAI, and one of the best fire-walk trainers in India. He has been honored with the title of the best international fire-walk trainer and motivational guru by the British Parliament.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>This was Rathore&rsquo;s fourth visit to Nepal in collaboration with Ascent Consulting Service, which had previously organized a similar motivational seminar back in 2017.</p>

Pulsar 150 TD variant has also undergone significant improvements in noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) due to optimization of engine and chassis touch points.</p>

<p>According to the company, the 4-stroke DTS-i engine remains the same overall in place of the same 149.5 cc, which gives out 14 PS at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 13.4 NM at 6,000 rpm. It has a top speed of 110 kmph and weighs 144 kg with fuel tank capacity of 15 liters. Another remarkable feature of the bike is the high ground clearance of 165 mm, which ensures smooth and comfortable ride on all terrains.</p>

<p>The Pulsar 150 TD comes equipped with five-gear system. Other new features included are wet multiplate clutch, air cooling system and five-map CDI ignition system.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The banks&rsquo; customers can enroll and link their bank account(s) with one-time verification from their respective banks, after which they can use the payment services including fund transfer, online payment and bill payment. All such transactions are processed directly from the bank accounts and do not require any intermediary,&rdquo; reads a statement issued by NCHL.</p>

<p>According to NCHL,<em> connect</em>IPS e-Payment System has already been subscribed by 32 banks and financial institutions among which 22 are already in operations.</p>

<p>The award was announced in New York on August 9 by Global Finance as the first round winner in the Asia-Pacific region.&nbsp; The bank said in a statement that the winners were chosen among entries evaluated by a world-class panel of judges at Infosys, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing.</p>

<p>According to the statement, the winning banks, including Standard Chartered Nepal among others, were selected based on the strength of strategy for attracting and servicing digital customers, success in getting clients to use digital offerings, growth of digital customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from digital initiatives, and web/mobile site design and functionality.</p>

<p>Standard Chartered Nepal said that this is the fourth time in a row it has bagged this award.</p>

The event was part of a series of events organized in regard to addressing the social, environmental and economic impacts and effects caused by commercially non-recyclable single-use plastic pollution in Nepal, the statement said.&nbsp;<br />
The findings of a study to explore opportunities and collaborations from multiple stakeholders for possible commercial and sustainable closed business loop solutions for PET recycling within Nepal was presented at the programme participated by representatives from the waste management sector as well as municipal representatives and development partners.<br />
For the past four years, The Coca-Cola Foundation, Bottlers Nepal , GIZ and Ganesha Ecosphere&nbsp; have jointly supported HCI to establish a responsible, fair and ethical supply chain for collecting and recycling used PET Bottles under its program called Nagar Mitra- Friends of the City, the statement further said.&nbsp;<br />
According to the organization, this initiative focused at creating smart cities has helped recycle over 750 tons of PET waste by sending it to companies in Nepal and India.&nbsp;<br />
&ldquo;It has directly and indirectly helped uplift the livelihoods of more than 300 waste-workers and has additionally created green jobs for women from disadvantaged backgrounds,&rdquo; the statement said.<br />
As one of the first series of events, HCI recently organized a Consultative Workshop on E-Waste focused on exploring partnerships and spreading awareness about E-waste in Nepal.&nbsp;<br />
The statement further said that the need to explore alternative solutions to manage PET waste in Nepal has risen following the sudden announcement on the ban on the import of raw PET waste by the Government of India.<br />
In this regard, GIZ Nepal supported in conducting a comprehensive feasibility study to explore possibilities of a sustainable solution to recycle PET waste within Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, UNICEF said that the Let Us Learn (LUL) initiative aims to ensure that all children, especially the most disadvantaged, benefit from improved access, participation and learning within inclusive and protective school environments.</p>

<p>In Nepal, LUL supports the Government of Nepal in working with a range of girl children including girls with disabilities, out-of-school girls, girls at risk of either not enrolling in or dropping out of school, and girls living in areas at risk of emergencies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>UNICEF claimed that more than 21,000 girls have been able to enter or return to schools over the last six years due to this programme.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepal has seen significant improvements in access to education across the country over the last few decades. However, this progress is not equally shared among different groups and regions in the country. A large number of children are still unable to access schools and learn due to barriers related to their gender, socio-economic status, geographical location, physical and intellectual ability,&rdquo; the statement quoted Gautam as saying.</p>

<p>&ldquo;I remain committed as ever to support the Nepal&rsquo;s continuous efforts in ensuring that the country meets the Sustainable Development Goal of providing inclusive education for all,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>In addition, Gautam will also be donating the prize money from his 2018 Harris Wofford Global Citizen Award conferred by the US National Peace Corps Association&rsquo;s to this girls&rsquo; education project through UNICEF Nepal.</p>

<p>Spanning three decades, the book recounts pivotal moments in modern history from the Khmer Rouge&rsquo;s brutal regime in Cambodia to the turbulent times of Haiti&rsquo;s dictatorship. It provides first-hand account of UNICEF&rsquo;s efforts to help children in the midst of great humanitarian crises in Africa, the debt crisis in Latin America, Asia&rsquo;s economic crisis, and the transition of Eastern Europe after the collapse of Communism.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to UNICEF, Gautam also provides fascinating anecdotes of meetings with leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi and Bill Gates - all to promote the cause of child survival and development.</p>

<p>&nbsp;According to the airline company, the first class seats provide more personal space and more privacy for the ultimate comfort of the passengers. The cocoon-designed seat that can convert into a comfortable fully flat bed in the first class cabin. The 1-2-1 configuration cabin conveys an enhanced private space for relaxing, the company said.</p>

<p>In the business class, passengers can lay down the deluxe seats into a bed at a touch of a button. The large-screen personal TV brings cinematic experience to unwind the passengers, according to the company. The business class seats are designed in 2-2-2 configuration providing space and comfort.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the economy class seats are in 2-4-2 configuration, designed for comfort and features excellent lumbar support, plus generous recline and extended leg rest.</p>

<p>The company further said that it will announce night flights effective from September 29 to October 27 by Airbus 330-200.</p>

Issuing a press statement, the non-profit organization said that it held the event &ndash; Finding Sustainable Solution for Recyclable Plastics Opportunities to close the Loop for Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) Bottle Recycling within Nepal &ndash; in collaboration with its partners including The Coca-Cola Foundation, Bottlers Nepal Limited and German Development Cooperation, GIZ.<br />
The event was part of a series of events organized in regard to addressing the social, environmental and economic impacts and effects caused by commercially non-recyclable single-use plastic pollution in Nepal, the statement said.&nbsp;<br />
The findings of a study to explore opportunities and collaborations from multiple stakeholders for possible commercial and sustainable closed business loop solutions for PET recycling within Nepal was presented at the programme participated by representatives from the waste management sector as well as municipal representatives and development partners.<br />
For the past four years, The Coca-Cola Foundation, Bottlers Nepal , GIZ and Ganesha Ecosphere&nbsp; have jointly supported HCI to establish a responsible, fair and ethical supply chain for collecting and recycling used PET Bottles under its program called Nagar Mitra- Friends of the City, the statement further said.&nbsp;<br />
According to the organization, this initiative focused at creating smart cities has helped recycle over 750 tons of PET waste by sending it to companies in Nepal and India.&nbsp;<br />
&ldquo;It has directly and indirectly helped uplift the livelihoods of more than 300 waste-workers and has additionally created green jobs for women from disadvantaged backgrounds,&rdquo; the statement said.<br />
As one of the first series of events, HCI recently organized a Consultative Workshop on E-Waste focused on exploring partnerships and spreading awareness about E-waste in Nepal.&nbsp;<br />
The statement further said that the need to explore alternative solutions to manage PET waste in Nepal has risen following the sudden announcement on the ban on the import of raw PET waste by the Government of India.<br />
In this regard, GIZ Nepal supported in conducting a comprehensive feasibility study to explore possibilities of a sustainable solution to recycle PET waste within Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Nepal, LUL supports the Government of Nepal in working with a range of girl children including girls with disabilities, out-of-school girls, girls at risk of either not enrolling in or dropping out of school, and girls living in areas at risk of emergencies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>UNICEF claimed that more than 21,000 girls have been able to enter or return to schools over the last six years due to this programme.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepal has seen significant improvements in access to education across the country over the last few decades. However, this progress is not equally shared among different groups and regions in the country. A large number of children are still unable to access schools and learn due to barriers related to their gender, socio-economic status, geographical location, physical and intellectual ability,&rdquo; the statement quoted Gautam as saying.</p>

<p>&ldquo;I remain committed as ever to support the Nepal&rsquo;s continuous efforts in ensuring that the country meets the Sustainable Development Goal of providing inclusive education for all,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>In addition, Gautam will also be donating the prize money from his 2018 Harris Wofford Global Citizen Award conferred by the US National Peace Corps Association&rsquo;s to this girls&rsquo; education project through UNICEF Nepal.</p>

<p>Spanning three decades, the book recounts pivotal moments in modern history from the Khmer Rouge&rsquo;s brutal regime in Cambodia to the turbulent times of Haiti&rsquo;s dictatorship. <p>According to the company, the 4-stroke DTS-i engine remains the same overall in place of the same 149.5 cc, which gives out 14 PS at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 13.4 NM at 6,000 rpm. It has a top speed of 110 kmph and weighs 144 kg with fuel tank capacity of 15 liters. Another remarkable feature of the bike is the high ground clearance of 165 mm, which ensures smooth and comfortable ride on all terrains.</p>

<p>The Pulsar 150 TD comes equipped with five-gear system. Other new features included are wet multiplate clutch, air cooling system and five-map CDI ignition system.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The banks&rsquo; customers can enroll and link their bank account(s) with one-time verification from their respective banks, after which they can use the payment services including fund transfer, online payment and bill payment. All such transactions are processed directly from the bank accounts and do not require any intermediary,&rdquo; reads a statement issued by NCHL.</p>

<p>According to NCHL,<em> connect</em>IPS e-Payment System has already been subscribed by 32 banks and financial institutions among which 22 are already in operations.</p>

The event was part of a series of events organized in regard to addressing the social, environmental and economic impacts and effects caused by commercially non-recyclable single-use plastic pollution in Nepal, the statement said.&nbsp;<br />
The findings of a study to explore opportunities and collaborations from multiple stakeholders for possible commercial and sustainable closed business loop solutions for PET recycling within Nepal was presented at the programme participated by representatives from the waste management sector as well as municipal representatives and development partners.<br />
For the past four years, The Coca-Cola Foundation, Bottlers Nepal , GIZ and Ganesha Ecosphere&nbsp; have jointly supported HCI to establish a responsible, fair and ethical supply chain for collecting and recycling used PET Bottles under its program called Nagar Mitra- Friends of the City, the statement further said.&nbsp;<br />
According to the organization, this initiative focused at creating smart cities has helped recycle over 750 tons of PET waste by sending it to companies in Nepal and India.&nbsp;<br />
&ldquo;It has directly and indirectly helped uplift the livelihoods of more than 300 waste-workers and has additionally created green jobs for women from disadvantaged backgrounds,&rdquo; the statement said.<br />
As one of the first series of events, HCI recently organized a Consultative Workshop on E-Waste focused on exploring partnerships and spreading awareness about E-waste in Nepal.&nbsp;<br />
The statement further said that the need to explore alternative solutions to manage PET waste in Nepal has risen following the sudden announcement on the ban on the import of raw PET waste by the Government of India.<br />
In this regard, GIZ Nepal supported in conducting a comprehensive feasibility study to explore possibilities of a sustainable solution to recycle PET waste within Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, UNICEF said that the Let Us Learn (LUL) initiative aims to ensure that all children, especially the most disadvantaged, benefit from improved access, participation and learning within inclusive and protective school environments.</p>

<p>In Nepal, LUL supports the Government of Nepal in working with a range of girl children including girls with disabilities, out-of-school girls, girls at risk of either not enrolling in or dropping out of school, and girls living in areas at risk of emergencies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>UNICEF claimed that more than 21,000 girls have been able to enter or return to schools over the last six years due to this programme.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepal has seen significant improvements in access to education across the country over the last few decades. However, this progress is not equally shared among different groups and regions in the country. A large number of children are still unable to access schools and learn due to barriers related to their gender, socio-economic status, geographical location, physical and intellectual ability,&rdquo; the statement quoted Gautam as saying.</p>

<p>&ldquo;I remain committed as ever to support the Nepal&rsquo;s continuous efforts in ensuring that the country meets the Sustainable Development Goal of providing inclusive education for all,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>In addition, Gautam will also be donating the prize money from his 2018 Harris Wofford Global Citizen Award conferred by the US National Peace Corps Association&rsquo;s to this girls&rsquo; education project through UNICEF Nepal.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We are extremely thankful to Mr Gautam for his unflagging commitment and support to improving the lives of children in Nepal and worldwide,&rdquo; said Tomoo Hozumi, UNICEF Representative to Nepal. &ldquo;The generous support from Mr Gautam will contribute to the goal of a quality education for every child.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Global Citizen from Gulmi recounts the personal journey of Gautam.&nbsp; It is an inspiring story of a young boy born in a remote village in the Gulmi district of Nepal where there was no school, road or electricity but who went on to join the highest ranks of the United Nations.</p>

<p>Spanning three decades, the book recounts pivotal moments in modern history from the Khmer Rouge&rsquo;s brutal regime in Cambodia to the turbulent times of Haiti&rsquo;s dictatorship. It provides first-hand account of UNICEF&rsquo;s efforts to help children in the midst of great humanitarian crises in Africa, the debt crisis in Latin America, Asia&rsquo;s economic crisis, and the transition of Eastern Europe after the collapse of Communism.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to UNICEF, Gautam also provides fascinating anecdotes of meetings with leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi and Bill Gates - all to promote the cause of child survival and development.</p>

<p>The speaker and trainer PS Rathore is a household name in the corporate fraternity in India. He is the youngest CWA topper, a qualified hypnotherapist, a TV personality, a visiting faculty of ICAI and ICMAI, and one of the best fire-walk trainers in India. 			'content' => '<p>August 12: Unidentified persons have carried out a bomb blast in Biratnagar Metropolitan City on Sunday afternoon. The blast was carried out in front of the office of the mayor of Biratnagar at 2 pm.</p>

<p>According to Biratnagar&rsquo;s Mayor Bhim Parajuli, there were no immediate human casualties.</p>

<p>Parajuli informed New Business Age that the bomb damaged window panes of the office and surrounding areas. Mayor Parajuli&rsquo;s vehicle was also damaged by the blast.</p>

<p>The bomb was planted inside a shelf in front of the mayor&rsquo;s office.</p>

<p>Police deployed after the blast said they are investigating the issue and are yet to find out the persons involved in the incident.</p>

<p>The city remained tensed after the blast.</p>

<p>According to the statement, the winning banks, including Standard Chartered Nepal among others, were selected based on the strength of strategy for attracting and servicing digital customers, success in getting clients to use digital offerings, growth of digital customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from digital initiatives, and web/mobile site design and functionality.</p>

Issuing a press statement, the non-profit organization said that it held the event &ndash; Finding Sustainable Solution for Recyclable Plastics Opportunities to close the Loop for Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) Bottle Recycling within Nepal &ndash; in collaboration with its partners including The Coca-Cola Foundation, Bottlers Nepal Limited and German Development Cooperation, GIZ.<br />
The event was part of a series of events organized in regard to addressing the social, environmental and economic impacts and effects caused by commercially non-recyclable single-use plastic pollution in Nepal, the statement said.&nbsp;<br />
The findings of a study to explore opportunities and collaborations from multiple stakeholders for possible commercial and sustainable closed business loop solutions for PET recycling within Nepal was presented at the programme participated by representatives from the waste management sector as well as municipal representatives and development partners.<br />
For the past four years, The Coca-Cola Foundation, Bottlers Nepal , GIZ and Ganesha Ecosphere&nbsp; have jointly supported HCI to establish a responsible, fair and ethical supply chain for collecting and recycling used PET Bottles under its program called Nagar Mitra- Friends of the City, the statement further said.&nbsp;<br />
According to the organization, this initiative focused at creating smart cities has helped recycle over 750 tons of PET waste by sending it to companies in Nepal and India.&nbsp;<br />
&ldquo;It has directly and indirectly helped uplift the livelihoods of more than 300 waste-workers and has additionally created green jobs for women from disadvantaged backgrounds,&rdquo; the statement said.<br />
As one of the first series of events, HCI recently organized a Consultative Workshop on E-Waste focused on exploring partnerships and spreading awareness about E-waste in Nepal.&nbsp;<br />
The statement further said that the need to explore alternative solutions to manage PET waste in Nepal has risen following the sudden announcement on the ban on the import of raw PET waste by the Government of India.<br />
In this regard, GIZ Nepal supported in conducting a comprehensive feasibility study to explore possibilities of a sustainable solution to recycle PET waste within Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Issuing a press statement, UNICEF said that the Let Us Learn (LUL) initiative aims to ensure that all children, especially the most disadvantaged, benefit from improved access, participation and learning within inclusive and protective school environments.</p>

<p>In Nepal, LUL supports the Government of Nepal in working with a range of girl children including girls with disabilities, out-of-school girls, girls at risk of either not enrolling in or dropping out of school, and girls living in areas at risk of emergencies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>UNICEF claimed that more than 21,000 girls have been able to enter or return to schools over the last six years due to this programme.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Nepal has seen significant improvements in access to education across the country over the last few decades. However, this progress is not equally shared among different groups and regions in the country. A large number of children are still unable to access schools and learn due to barriers related to their gender, socio-economic status, geographical location, physical and intellectual ability,&rdquo; the statement quoted Gautam as saying.</p>

<p>&ldquo;I remain committed as ever to support the Nepal&rsquo;s continuous efforts in ensuring that the country meets the Sustainable Development Goal of providing inclusive education for all,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>In addition, Gautam will also be donating the prize money from his 2018 Harris Wofford Global Citizen Award conferred by the US National Peace Corps Association&rsquo;s to this girls&rsquo; education project through UNICEF Nepal.</p>

<p>Global Citizen from Gulmi recounts the personal journey of Gautam.&nbsp; It is an inspiring story of a young boy born in a remote village in the Gulmi district of Nepal where there was no school, road or electricity but who went on to join the highest ranks of the United Nations.</p>

<p>Spanning three decades, the book recounts pivotal moments in modern history from the Khmer Rouge&rsquo;s brutal regime in Cambodia to the turbulent times of Haiti&rsquo;s dictatorship. It provides first-hand account of UNICEF&rsquo;s efforts to help children in the midst of great humanitarian crises in Africa, the debt crisis in Latin America, Asia&rsquo;s economic crisis, and the transition of Eastern Europe after the collapse of Communism.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to UNICEF, Gautam also provides fascinating anecdotes of meetings with leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi and Bill Gates - all to promote the cause of child survival and development.</p>
