The Federation also honoured nurses Jasa Maya Jirel and Sharada Shrestha and volunteer and rescuer Babrim Kumar KC with cash prize of Rs 25,000 each.</p>

<p>On the occasion, winners of the Open World Wide Poem Competition held by the Federation were also conferred awards and cash prizes. <p><span style="font-size:14px">Speaking at the programme, NMB Bank Chiarman Pawan Kumar Golyan said that with the merger, the bank now aims at a spot among the country&rsquo;s five major commercial banks.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">&ldquo;We now easily can meet the target within two years. We are committed to making the bank an outstanding bank,&rdquo; said the bank&rsquo;s CEO Upendra Poudyal.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">NMB Bank&rsquo;s integrated operation following the merger was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">Now the bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 6.20 billion, including the reserve fund. The bank was transformed as commercial bank seven years ago after operating as a Class C financial institution for 18 years.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">&ldquo;We hope to easily meet the new paid-up capital requirement of Rs 8 billion in the next two years,&rdquo; says Poudyal.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">According to Podyal, NMB&rsquo;s foreign partners, Young Lian Malaysia and FMO of the Netherlands, are also going to increase the investment to help raise the paid-up capital.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">FMO is going to make a new investment of 20 percent of the paid-up capital after merger. The bank expects that partnership with FMO will assist in energy, international business and capital market and also help create a strong capital base.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">After the merger, NMB&rsquo;s total deposit has reached Rs 54 billion and loan Rs 41 billion. Now the bank has 39 branches, 42 ATM outlets and seven extension counters.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">He adds that Nepal is party to several treaties related with patent rights. &ldquo;The guideline will help us address these treaties properly,&rdquo; he explains.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to him, the DoI will not register new company names which are similar to the names of companies which are already operating and also not permit names which are made up by making minor changes to world famous brands.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">The registration of some companies or brands which resemble worldwide popular brands has already created problems. Matters have been taken to courts and several lawsuits regarding the violation of patent or trademark rights have been filed with the commercial bench of Patan Appellate Court.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to the Patent, Design and Trademark Act 2022, the company which registers a trademark first can keep its ownership. But being a member of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Nepal cannot give ownership of the trademark logo of internationally popular brand to any Nepali company. Till now there is not any list of popular trademarks in Nepal. According to business people, this is creating obstacles for FDI in Nepal.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">The drafts of some crucial laws such as the Special Economic Zone (Sez) Act, Industrial Entrepreneurs Act and Intellectual Property related Act have already been presented at parliament. The implementation of these acts will have a positive impact on the country&rsquo;s investment climate, says Neupane.</span></p>

<p>&nbsp;&ldquo;Tara Airlines will phase out old aircraft by 2016 and we are doing homework on that,&rdquo; said Rai, adding &ldquo;We are displacing old aircraft to provide our passenger with modern service and to manage the company better.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Rai, Tara Airlines will add 3 more aircraft of 400 series from a Canadian company by 2015. &ldquo;If everything goes well, till that time we will add three more aircraft,&rdquo; said Rai. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Tara Airlines is working in coordination with &lsquo;Great Himalayan Trail&rsquo; (GHT) to promote rural tourism in Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;We fly to the rural areas of the country and that is how we are promoting adventure tourism in coordination with GHT,&rdquo; said Rai.</p>

<p>For providing aerial service to the rural areas, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has already declared Tara Airlines as an outstanding airline. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;A total of Rs 20 million will be collected as registration charge and from the sponsors,&rdquo; said Ghale adding, &ldquo;We are planning to keep the expenditure within Rs 10 million so that the rest can be mobilized for reconstruction.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme is being organized jointly by Nepal Government, FNCCI and NRNA. According to Ghale, the upcoming executive committee will give priority to rebuild 1,000 homes and to the construction of the Association&rsquo;s own building.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">Now the bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 6.20 billion, including the reserve fund. The bank was transformed as commercial bank seven years ago after operating as a Class C financial institution for 18 years.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">&ldquo;We hope to easily meet the new paid-up capital requirement of Rs 8 billion in the next two years,&rdquo; says Poudyal.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">According to Podyal, NMB&rsquo;s foreign partners, Young Lian Malaysia and FMO of the Netherlands, are also going to increase the investment to help raise the paid-up capital.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">FMO is going to make a new investment of 20 percent of the paid-up capital after merger. The bank expects that partnership with FMO will assist in energy, international business and capital market and also help create a strong capital base.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">After the merger, NMB&rsquo;s total deposit has reached Rs 54 billion and loan Rs 41 billion. Now the bank has 39 branches, 42 ATM outlets and seven extension counters.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to him, the DoI will not register new company names which are similar to the names of companies which are already operating and also not permit names which are made up by making minor changes to world famous brands.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">The registration of some companies or brands which resemble worldwide popular brands has already created problems. Matters have been taken to courts and several lawsuits regarding the violation of patent or trademark rights have been filed with the commercial bench of Patan Appellate Court.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to the Patent, Design and Trademark Act 2022, the company which registers a trademark first can keep its ownership. But being a member of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Nepal cannot give ownership of the trademark logo of internationally popular brand to any Nepali company. Till now there is not any list of popular trademarks in Nepal. According to business people, this is creating obstacles for FDI in Nepal.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">The drafts of some crucial laws such as the Special Economic Zone (Sez) Act, Industrial Entrepreneurs Act and Intellectual Property related Act have already been presented at parliament. The implementation of these acts will have a positive impact on the country&rsquo;s investment climate, says Neupane.</span></p>

<p>The tourism and hotel business that was badly hit by the earthquake will make progressive success with the arrival of summit&rsquo;s representative, claimed he. The association is planning to utilize the amount raised from IGA and conference for reconstruction.</p>

<p>&ldquo;A total of Rs 20 million will be collected as registration charge and from the sponsors,&rdquo; said Ghale adding, &ldquo;We are planning to keep the expenditure within Rs 10 million so that the rest can be mobilized for reconstruction.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme is being organized jointly by Nepal Government, FNCCI and NRNA. According to Ghale, the upcoming executive committee will give priority to rebuild 1,000 homes and to the construction of the Association&rsquo;s own building.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">As per the agreement, NRN will construct earthquake resistant houses, local cultural houses as per a design approved by the government.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">After the earthquake, NRNA had announced to construct 1,000 houses, which, according to preliminary estimates, would require Rs 350 million.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">NRN president Shesh Ghale said, &quot;We have started our reconstruction campaign formally from today.&quot;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">Now the bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 6.20 billion, including the reserve fund. The bank was transformed as commercial bank seven years ago after operating as a Class C financial institution for 18 years.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">&ldquo;We hope to easily meet the new paid-up capital requirement of Rs 8 billion in the next two years,&rdquo; says Poudyal.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">According to Podyal, NMB&rsquo;s foreign partners, Young Lian Malaysia and FMO of the Netherlands, are also going to increase the investment to help raise the paid-up capital.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">FMO is going to make a new investment of 20 percent of the paid-up capital after merger. The bank expects that partnership with FMO will assist in energy, international business and capital market and also help create a strong capital base.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">After the merger, NMB&rsquo;s total deposit has reached Rs 54 billion and loan Rs 41 billion. Now the bank has 39 branches, 42 ATM outlets and seven extension counters.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to him, the DoI will not register new company names which are similar to the names of companies which are already operating and also not permit names which are made up by making minor changes to world famous brands.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">The registration of some companies or brands which resemble worldwide popular brands has already created problems. Matters have been taken to courts and several lawsuits regarding the violation of patent or trademark rights have been filed with the commercial bench of Patan Appellate Court.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to the Patent, Design and Trademark Act 2022, the company which registers a trademark first can keep its ownership. But being a member of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Nepal cannot give ownership of the trademark logo of internationally popular brand to any Nepali company. Till now there is not any list of popular trademarks in Nepal. According to business people, this is creating obstacles for FDI in Nepal.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">The drafts of some crucial laws such as the Special Economic Zone (Sez) Act, Industrial Entrepreneurs Act and Intellectual Property related Act have already been presented at parliament. The implementation of these acts will have a positive impact on the country&rsquo;s investment climate, says Neupane.</span></p>

<p>The global conference will be inaugurated by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on October 16. More than 1,500 representative have already arrived from 71 countries, said Ghale.</p>

<p>The tourism and hotel business that was badly hit by the earthquake will make progressive success with the arrival of summit&rsquo;s representative, claimed he. The association is planning to utilize the amount raised from IGA and conference for reconstruction.</p>

<p>&ldquo;A total of Rs 20 million will be collected as registration charge and from the sponsors,&rdquo; said Ghale adding, &ldquo;We are planning to keep the expenditure within Rs 10 million so that the rest can be mobilized for reconstruction.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme is being organized jointly by Nepal Government, FNCCI and NRNA. According to Ghale, the upcoming executive committee will give priority to rebuild 1,000 homes and to the construction of the Association&rsquo;s own building.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">&ldquo;We hope to easily meet the new paid-up capital requirement of Rs 8 billion in the next two years,&rdquo; says Poudyal.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">According to Podyal, NMB&rsquo;s foreign partners, Young Lian Malaysia and FMO of the Netherlands, are also going to increase the investment to help raise the paid-up capital.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">FMO is going to make a new investment of 20 percent of the paid-up capital after merger. The bank expects that partnership with FMO will assist in energy, international business and capital market and also help create a strong capital base.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">After the merger, NMB&rsquo;s total deposit has reached Rs 54 billion and loan Rs 41 billion. Now the bank has 39 branches, 42 ATM outlets and seven extension counters.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to him, the DoI will not register new company names which are similar to the names of companies which are already operating and also not permit names which are made up by making minor changes to world famous brands.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">The registration of some companies or brands which resemble worldwide popular brands has already created problems. Matters have been taken to courts and several lawsuits regarding the violation of patent or trademark rights have been filed with the commercial bench of Patan Appellate Court.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:14px">According to the Patent, Design and Trademark Act 2022, the company which registers a trademark first can keep its ownership. But being a member of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Nepal cannot give ownership of the trademark logo of internationally popular brand to any Nepali company. Till now there is not any list of popular trademarks in Nepal. According to business people, this is creating obstacles for FDI in Nepal.</span></p>

<p>Tara Airlines is working in coordination with &lsquo;Great Himalayan Trail&rsquo; (GHT) to promote rural tourism in Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;We fly to the rural areas of the country and that is how we are promoting adventure tourism in coordination with GHT,&rdquo; said Rai.</p>

<p>For providing aerial service to the rural areas, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has already declared Tara Airlines as an outstanding airline. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">The mall has a restaurant on the top floor and also has two Multiplex cinema halls, a food-court, and a gaming-zone. The mall offers all kinds of ladies and gents garments shops, fancy-clothing stores, cosmetic shops, boutiques, ladies and gents&rsquo; parlor, mobile shops, kitchen items, gold shops etc.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px">The building has 65 shareholders. The mall has also features like detector, electric stairs, fire fighting, lifts and CC cameras. The building is said to be earthquake resistant up to 8.5 magnitude.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p>The global conference will be inaugurated by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on October 16. More than 1,500 representative have already arrived from 71 countries, said Ghale.</p>

<p>The tourism and hotel business that was badly hit by the earthquake will make progressive success with the arrival of summit&rsquo;s representative, claimed he. The association is planning to utilize the amount raised from IGA and conference for reconstruction.</p>

<p>&ldquo;A total of Rs 20 million will be collected as registration charge and from the sponsors,&rdquo; said Ghale adding, &ldquo;We are planning to keep the expenditure within Rs 10 million so that the rest can be mobilized for reconstruction.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The programme is being organized jointly by Nepal Government, FNCCI and NRNA. According to Ghale, the upcoming executive committee will give priority to rebuild 1,000 homes and to the construction of the Association&rsquo;s own building.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">Deputy director general of Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Ramesh Prasad Singh and NRNA President Shesh Ghale signed the agreement on Sunday (October 11).</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">As per the agreement, NRN will construct earthquake resistant houses, local cultural houses as per a design approved by the government.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">After the earthquake, NRNA had announced to construct 1,000 houses, which, according to preliminary estimates, would require Rs 350 million.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">NRN president Shesh Ghale said, &quot;We have started our reconstruction campaign formally from today.&quot;</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px">The agreement says the reconstruction will be complete within two years but senior NRNA officials say the Association wants to complete it within a year.&nbsp;</span></p>
