The bank will provide six percent interest per annum with monthly interest payment frequency.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Siddhartha Premium Muddati Khata is a two years fixed deposit account offering an interest rate of 6.5 % per annum providing the customers comparatively higher returns on their deposits.</p>

The investment on the hotel has been increased with the increasing number of tourists arriving in the country, he added. NE Group owns 50 percent stake&nbsp;in&nbsp;the hotel. The hotel which is spread across&nbsp;16 ropanis of land is managed by a team&nbsp;of NE Group Managing Director&nbsp;Shrestha and Rahul Chaudhary who represents Chaudhary Group.</p>

According to Shrestha, technicians and a project team from&nbsp;Mumbai is working for&nbsp;restructuring of the hotel. Cement traders say that the consumers can choose a variety of Nepal produced cement as per their preferences as almost all Nepali cement brands are available in the local market. Another contractor, Kashi Ram Joshi said, &ldquo;The reach of cement produced by the companies of Mid-western region has eased the difficulties faced by consumers for construction works. Consumers who previously were relying on Indian cement have now started to use Nepali cement brands due to the increasing quality.&rdquo;</p>

Though there are no cement industries in the Far-western region, consumers of that area are using cement produced in mid-west. Dambar Datta Bhatta, a cement trader of Mahendranagar said, &ldquo;Despite the good quality of Nepali cement, the import of Indian products has not been discouraged to its fullest. The increasing construction of modern houses and other structures is driving the sales of cement in the region.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Suresh Rawal, President of Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, &ldquo;There is a huge potential to build two cement industries in this region. But the place is not being able to attract the investors.&rdquo; &nbsp;As per the traders, cement produced by Nepali companies worth Rs 1 billion is being traded in the area.&nbsp;</p>

Speaking at a forum held in capital on September 6, Tuesday, Sharma said that he will focus his efforts to&nbsp;finalise the PDA&nbsp;with the Nepal Water and Energy Development Company (NWEDC), the developer of the project. Minister Sharma such&nbsp;remarks at a forum on &quot;Foreign Direct Investment in Hydropower&rdquo; jointly organized by International Finance Corporation (IFC), Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association of Nepal (IPPAN) and NWEDC.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking at the forum, Sharma said that its high time for Nepal to attract&nbsp;FDI to exploit its rich water resources. &ldquo;We have both natural and human resources. What we do not have is enough investment. Therefore, the importance for FDI is very high for Nepal,&rdquo; he mentioned. Stating that Nepal has already signed a Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India, a huge market for Nepal&rsquo;s hydroelectricity, Minister Sharma said this agreement is going to encourage FDI in Nepal&rsquo;s hydropower sector. He further said that it takes years for hydropower promoters to get license and sign Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Power Development Agreement (PDA) which is discouraging to the foreign investors.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the program, hydropower experts have stressed on the need for Nepal to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) for the development of its hydropower sector. &nbsp;They highlighted that Nepal was already late in terms of attracting FDI.&nbsp;Maheshwor Neupane, Director General of the Department of Industry, said the government has a policy of prioritizing the hydro sector for FDI. He also said that FDI in hydropower sector has been increasing, though slowly.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Stating that the Korean government has built fundamental industries and developed Korea&rsquo;s economy through foreign loans and foreign direct investment, Choe Yong Jin, Korean Ambassador to Nepal said, &ldquo;Nepal has one of the largest potentials in generating hydropower. But such great potential can only be materialized into reality through investment. And this investment will be made possible through discussions involving all the stakeholders and decisiveness and strong will of the leaders.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Envoy Jin expressed hope that the Upper Trishuli One Project, which is being developed by the international consortium NWEDC composed of Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) and IFC, will make significant contribution to increasing total hydropower generation of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Heo Yup, CEO of KOSEP, shared Korea&rsquo;s FDI-funded development story. &ldquo;Realizing that borrowing foreign funds and inviting FDI were essential for infrastructure development, Korean government took various measures to protect foreign capital and as a result, it attracted large amounts of foreign capital.&rdquo; As a result, Yup said, Korea was able to build a base for a sharp economic growth that surprised the whole world. &ldquo;At last, after 30 years of receiving FDI, Korea became one of the top 10 exporting countries in the world, with its export volume of USD&nbsp;2,000 billion. Now, it is Korean who makes FDI in other countries&rdquo;, he further explained.&nbsp;<br />
Comparing Nepal and Korea, he said both the countries have similar geography, and that Nepal can learn from Korea&rsquo;s experience.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Khadga Bahadur Bisht, President of Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association Nepal (IPPAN), urged policy makers to put their serious efforts in order to attract FDI in the hydropower development. &ldquo;We have been seeking FDI since 1981. But there have been only a few hydro projects funded through FDI. Nepal hasn&rsquo;t done well in terms of attracting FDI&rdquo;, said Bisht.&nbsp;</p>

The bank will provide six percent interest per annum with monthly interest payment frequency.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Siddhartha Premium Muddati Khata is a two years fixed deposit account offering an interest rate of 6.5 % per annum providing the customers comparatively higher returns on their deposits.</p>

Consumers who previously were relying on Indian cement have now started to use Nepali cement brands due to the increasing quality.&rdquo;</p>

The increasing construction of modern houses and other structures is driving the sales of cement in the region.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Suresh Rawal, President of Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, &ldquo;There is a huge potential to build two cement industries in this region. But the place is not being able to attract the investors.&rdquo; &nbsp;As per the traders, cement produced by Nepali companies worth Rs 1 billion is being traded in the area.&nbsp;</p>

Speaking at a forum held in capital on September 6, Tuesday, Sharma said that he will focus his efforts to&nbsp;finalise the PDA&nbsp;with the Nepal Water and Energy Development Company (NWEDC), the developer of the project. Minister Sharma such&nbsp;remarks at a forum on &quot;Foreign Direct Investment in Hydropower&rdquo; jointly organized by International Finance Corporation (IFC), Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association of Nepal (IPPAN) and NWEDC.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking at the forum, Sharma said that its high time for Nepal to attract&nbsp;FDI to exploit its rich water resources. &ldquo;We have both natural and human resources. What we do not have is enough investment. Therefore, the importance for FDI is very high for Nepal,&rdquo; he mentioned. Stating that Nepal has already signed a Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India, a huge market for Nepal&rsquo;s hydroelectricity, Minister Sharma said this agreement is going to encourage FDI in Nepal&rsquo;s hydropower sector. He further said that it takes years for hydropower promoters to get license and sign Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Power Development Agreement (PDA) which is discouraging to the foreign investors.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the program, hydropower experts have stressed on the need for Nepal to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) for the development of its hydropower sector. &nbsp;They highlighted that Nepal was already late in terms of attracting FDI.&nbsp;Maheshwor Neupane, Director General of the Department of Industry, said the government has a policy of prioritizing the hydro sector for FDI. He also said that FDI in hydropower sector has been increasing, though slowly.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Stating that the Korean government has built fundamental industries and developed Korea&rsquo;s economy through foreign loans and foreign direct investment, Choe Yong Jin, Korean Ambassador to Nepal said, &ldquo;Nepal has one of the largest potentials in generating hydropower. But such great potential can only be materialized into reality through investment. And this investment will be made possible through discussions involving all the stakeholders and decisiveness and strong will of the leaders.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Envoy Jin expressed hope that the Upper Trishuli One Project, which is being developed by the international consortium NWEDC composed of Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) and IFC, will make significant contribution to increasing total hydropower generation of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Heo Yup, CEO of KOSEP, shared Korea&rsquo;s FDI-funded development story. &ldquo;Realizing that borrowing foreign funds and inviting FDI were essential for infrastructure development, Korean government took various measures to protect foreign capital and as a result, it attracted large amounts of foreign capital.&rdquo; As a result, Yup said, Korea was able to build a base for a sharp economic growth that surprised the whole world. &ldquo;At last, after 30 years of receiving FDI, Korea became one of the top 10 exporting countries in the world, with its export volume of USD&nbsp;2,000 billion. Now, it is Korean who makes FDI in other countries&rdquo;, he further explained.&nbsp;<br />
Comparing Nepal and Korea, he said both the countries have similar geography, and that Nepal can learn from Korea&rsquo;s experience.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Khadga Bahadur Bisht, President of Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association Nepal (IPPAN), urged policy makers to put their serious efforts in order to attract FDI in the hydropower development. &ldquo;We have been seeking FDI since 1981. But there have been only a few hydro projects funded through FDI. Nepal hasn&rsquo;t done well in terms of attracting FDI&rdquo;, said Bisht.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">A panel discussion led by Dr Swarnim Wagle, former Member of National Planning Commission&nbsp;was held in the second session of the program where&nbsp;panelists&nbsp;Energy Seceretary&nbsp;Suman Prasad Sharma, IPPAN President Bisht, Iqbal Munawar, Project Manager PPIB, Pakistan, Kamal Dorabawila, Principal Investment Officer of &nbsp;IFC, Michael Boyd, USAID, Energy Policy &amp; Strategy Advisor discussed about various aspects of enegry sector development.&nbsp;</p>

Another contractor, Kashi Ram Joshi said, &ldquo;The reach of cement produced by the companies of Mid-western region has eased the difficulties faced by consumers for construction works. Consumers who previously were relying on Indian cement have now started to use Nepali cement brands due to the increasing quality.&rdquo;</p>

Though there are no cement industries in the Far-western region, consumers of that area are using cement produced in mid-west. Dambar Datta Bhatta, a cement trader of Mahendranagar said, &ldquo;Despite the good quality of Nepali cement, the import of Indian products has not been discouraged to its fullest. The increasing construction of modern houses and other structures is driving the sales of cement in the region.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Suresh Rawal, President of Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, &ldquo;There is a huge potential to build two cement industries in this region. But the place is not being able to attract the investors.&rdquo; &nbsp;As per the traders, cement produced by Nepali companies worth Rs 1 billion is being traded in the area.&nbsp;</p>

Minister Sharma such&nbsp;remarks at a forum on &quot;Foreign Direct Investment in Hydropower&rdquo; jointly organized by International Finance Corporation (IFC), Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association of Nepal (IPPAN) and NWEDC.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking at the forum, Sharma said that its high time for Nepal to attract&nbsp;FDI to exploit its rich water resources. &ldquo;We have both natural and human resources. What we do not have is enough investment. Therefore, the importance for FDI is very high for Nepal,&rdquo; he mentioned. Stating that Nepal has already signed a Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India, a huge market for Nepal&rsquo;s hydroelectricity, Minister Sharma said this agreement is going to encourage FDI in Nepal&rsquo;s hydropower sector. He further said that it takes years for hydropower promoters to get license and sign Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Power Development Agreement (PDA) which is discouraging to the foreign investors.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the program, hydropower experts have stressed on the need for Nepal to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) for the development of its hydropower sector. &nbsp;They highlighted that Nepal was already late in terms of attracting FDI.&nbsp;Maheshwor Neupane, Director General of the Department of Industry, said the government has a policy of prioritizing the hydro sector for FDI. He also said that FDI in hydropower sector has been increasing, though slowly.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Stating that the Korean government has built fundamental industries and developed Korea&rsquo;s economy through foreign loans and foreign direct investment, Choe Yong Jin, Korean Ambassador to Nepal said, &ldquo;Nepal has one of the largest potentials in generating hydropower. But such great potential can only be materialized into reality through investment. And this investment will be made possible through discussions involving all the stakeholders and decisiveness and strong will of the leaders.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Envoy Jin expressed hope that the Upper Trishuli One Project, which is being developed by the international consortium NWEDC composed of Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) and IFC, will make significant contribution to increasing total hydropower generation of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Heo Yup, CEO of KOSEP, shared Korea&rsquo;s FDI-funded development story. &ldquo;Realizing that borrowing foreign funds and inviting FDI were essential for infrastructure development, Korean government took various measures to protect foreign capital and as a result, it attracted large amounts of foreign capital.&rdquo; As a result, Yup said, Korea was able to build a base for a sharp economic growth that surprised the whole world. &ldquo;At last, after 30 years of receiving FDI, Korea became one of the top 10 exporting countries in the world, with its export volume of USD&nbsp;2,000 billion. Now, it is Korean who makes FDI in other countries&rdquo;, he further explained.&nbsp;<br />
Comparing Nepal and Korea, he said both the countries have similar geography, and that Nepal can learn from Korea&rsquo;s experience.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Khadga Bahadur Bisht, President of Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association Nepal (IPPAN), urged policy makers to put their serious efforts in order to attract FDI in the hydropower development. &ldquo;We have been seeking FDI since 1981. But there have been only a few hydro projects funded through FDI. Nepal hasn&rsquo;t done well in terms of attracting FDI&rdquo;, said Bisht.&nbsp;</p>

Cement traders say that the consumers can choose a variety of Nepal produced cement as per their preferences as almost all Nepali cement brands are available in the local market. Another contractor, Kashi Ram Joshi said, &ldquo;The reach of cement produced by the companies of Mid-western region has eased the difficulties faced by consumers for construction works. Consumers who previously were relying on Indian cement have now started to use Nepali cement brands due to the increasing quality.&rdquo;</p>

Though there are no cement industries in the Far-western region, consumers of that area are using cement produced in mid-west. Dambar Datta Bhatta, a cement trader of Mahendranagar said, &ldquo;Despite the good quality of Nepali cement, the import of Indian products has not been discouraged to its fullest. The increasing construction of modern houses and other structures is driving the sales of cement in the region.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Suresh Rawal, President of Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, &ldquo;There is a huge potential to build two cement industries in this region. But the place is not being able to attract the investors.&rdquo; &nbsp;As per the traders, cement produced by Nepali companies worth Rs 1 billion is being traded in the area.&nbsp;</p>

Speaking at a forum held in capital on September 6, Tuesday, Sharma said that he will focus his efforts to&nbsp;finalise the PDA&nbsp;with the Nepal Water and Energy Development Company (NWEDC), the developer of the project. Minister Sharma such&nbsp;remarks at a forum on &quot;Foreign Direct Investment in Hydropower&rdquo; jointly organized by International Finance Corporation (IFC), Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association of Nepal (IPPAN) and NWEDC.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking at the forum, Sharma said that its high time for Nepal to attract&nbsp;FDI to exploit its rich water resources. &ldquo;We have both natural and human resources. What we do not have is enough investment. Therefore, the importance for FDI is very high for Nepal,&rdquo; he mentioned. Stating that Nepal has already signed a Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India, a huge market for Nepal&rsquo;s hydroelectricity, Minister Sharma said this agreement is going to encourage FDI in Nepal&rsquo;s hydropower sector. He further said that it takes years for hydropower promoters to get license and sign Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Power Development Agreement (PDA) which is discouraging to the foreign investors.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the program, hydropower experts have stressed on the need for Nepal to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) for the development of its hydropower sector. &nbsp;They highlighted that Nepal was already late in terms of attracting FDI.&nbsp;Maheshwor Neupane, Director General of the Department of Industry, said the government has a policy of prioritizing the hydro sector for FDI. He also said that FDI in hydropower sector has been increasing, though slowly.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Stating that the Korean government has built fundamental industries and developed Korea&rsquo;s economy through foreign loans and foreign direct investment, Choe Yong Jin, Korean Ambassador to Nepal said, &ldquo;Nepal has one of the largest potentials in generating hydropower. But such great potential can only be materialized into reality through investment. And this investment will be made possible through discussions involving all the stakeholders and decisiveness and strong will of the leaders.&rdquo;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Envoy Jin expressed hope that the Upper Trishuli One Project, which is being developed by the international consortium NWEDC composed of Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) and IFC, will make significant contribution to increasing total hydropower generation of Nepal.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Heo Yup, CEO of KOSEP, shared Korea&rsquo;s FDI-funded development story. &ldquo;Realizing that borrowing foreign funds and inviting FDI were essential for infrastructure development, Korean government took various measures to protect foreign capital and as a result, it attracted large amounts of foreign capital.&rdquo; As a result, Yup said, Korea was able to build a base for a sharp economic growth that surprised the whole world. &ldquo;At last, after 30 years of receiving FDI, Korea became one of the top 10 exporting countries in the world, with its export volume of USD&nbsp;2,000 billion. Now, it is Korean who makes FDI in other countries&rdquo;, he further explained.&nbsp;<br />
Comparing Nepal and Korea, he said both the countries have similar geography, and that Nepal can learn from Korea&rsquo;s experience.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, Khadga Bahadur Bisht, President of Independent Power Producers&rsquo; Association Nepal (IPPAN), urged policy makers to put their serious efforts in order to attract FDI in the hydropower development. &ldquo;We have been seeking FDI since 1981. But there have been only a few hydro projects funded through FDI. Nepal hasn&rsquo;t done well in terms of attracting FDI&rdquo;, said Bisht.&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">A panel discussion led by Dr Swarnim Wagle, former Member of National Planning Commission&nbsp;was held in the second session of the program where&nbsp;panelists&nbsp;Energy Seceretary&nbsp;Suman Prasad Sharma, IPPAN President Bisht, Iqbal Munawar, Project Manager PPIB, Pakistan, Kamal Dorabawila, Principal Investment Officer of &nbsp;IFC, Michael Boyd, USAID, Energy Policy &amp; Strategy Advisor discussed about various aspects of enegry sector development.&nbsp;</p>
