<p>
	Nepse index increased by 7.97 points during previous week. It had closed 487.63 on Sunday, 23rd June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 495.60 at the close of Thursday, 27th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was open for five days.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘others’ sub-index increased the highest by 14.10 points closing at 622.70 points. That was followed by the banking sector sub-index which increased by 10.58 points. Bank of Kathmandu was a major mover for last two days of the trading at Nepse with its announcement of a special general meeting on 21st July for the approval of merger proposal and for the election of board of directors.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Finance company sub-index increased by 2.26 points during the week. But the hotel, hydropower, insurance and development banks sub-indices declined.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	There was no change in trading as well as in manufacturing and processing sub-indices during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	During the week, the promoters’ shares of Goodwill Finance dropped the highest by Rs 77 closing at Rs 108. A total of 24,530 scrips of the company were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Shares of 122 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 6,114 transactions amounting to Rs 428,566,000. The transaction amount is 9.11 percent higher than that of earlier week. The total number of scrips traded was 2,602,977 which is 1,015,327 scrips more than that of earlier week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Everest Bank topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 47,430,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 857,892scrips of the fund were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (809).</p>

<p>
	Nepse Index closed at 493.13 points on Sunday (June 30). The index dropped by 2.41 points from the Thursday (June 27) close. Only the insurance sub-index saw a gain of 2.60 points closing at 875.69. The total of 331,083 shares was traded from 1185 transactions during a day. Similarly, the total of 1002674 and 134227 bonus shares of National Life Insurance and Navadurga Finance respectively have been listed this day.</p>

	Nepal Banker Association (NBA) has demanded to drop the corporate tax rate on banks to 20 percent from prevailing 40 percent. A delegation led by Ranjan Singh Bhandari, President of NBA called on Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala last week and made the demand. During the meeting, Bhandari stated that the banking sector is fully transparent and has been major contributor in the tax revenue collection of the country. </p>
<p>
	Similarly, the association has demanded to waive the capital gain tax imposed on the sale of the collateral property. It also demanded for the preferential right of the bank on the collateral accepted for the loan. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion, the association also asked for written promise to exempt the tax on the donation that the BFIs make to political parties.<br />

	Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) celebrated 21st Anniversary on Sunday, June 9. It is the governing body of the security market in Nepal. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion of anniversary programme governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada expressed the necessity of entry of established non-financial sector companies in the security market. </p>
<p>
	He argued that the entry of these sectors in the security market might make them transparent among the public. He also added that high dependency of only on sector is not good for the stock market development. Currently, about 85 percent of the market capitalization of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) is covered by banks and financial institutions. He also stated that there is a need of a strong presence of SEBON at the current volatile market situation. Finally, he promised for any help and coordination needed from the central bank. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion, Baburam Shrestha, Chairman of SEBON said that various basic infrastructures needed for the development of securities market like Credit Rating Company, Central Depository System (CDS), mutual fund have been going on and it will help in boosting the market.<br />

	Nepse dropped by 3.09 points during previous week. It had closed 497.44 on Sunday, 9th June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 494.36 at the close of Thursday, 13th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was openfor five days. </p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘other’ sub-index dropped the highest by 11.75 points closing at 616.82 points. Similarly, the hydro-power sub-index dropped by 6.54 points. The sub-index came down due to fall in the share price of Butwal Power Company and Chilime Hydropower Company by Rs 15 (closing at Rs 780) and Rs 10 (closing at Rs 1137) respectively At the same time, drop in the profit growth rate of Nepal Telecom has affected in the sentiment of investor which caused fall in the ‘other’ sector sub-index. </p>
<p>
	The hotel sub-index increased the highest (by 10.79 points). There was no change in manufacturing and processing as well as trading sub-indices during the week. </p>
<p>
	Shares of 119 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 5,175 transactions amounting to Rs 294,491,000. The total number of scrips traded was 1,180,523 which is 70272 scrips less than that of earlier week. </p>
<p>
	Sagarmatha Insurance topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 37,020,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 2,77,907scrips of the fund were traded during the week. </p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (863). </p>
<p>
	On Thursday June 13, a total of 1,882,438 scrips of bonus shares of eight companies were listed at Nepse. Similarly, on the same day 157000 ordinary shares of Swarojgar Laghubitta Bikas Bank were also listed at Nepse.</p>

	<strong>Nepse on Sunday</strong></p>
<p>
	Nepse closed at 494.91 points with an increase of 0.57 points from the Thursday close (June 13). Banking sub-index, development bank sub-index and manufacturing and processing sub-index saw an increment whereas remaining sub-indices saw a drop. The share price of Kamana Bikas Bank gained the highest by Rs 6 per share closing at Rs 130. Similarly, the share price of NB Insurance dropped the highest by Rs 6 per share closing at Rs 57. Total of 280,297 shares were traded amounted to Rs 113,410,218 at Nepse floor.<br />

	Nepse index increased by 7.97 points during previous week. It had closed 487.63 on Sunday, 23rd June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 495.60 at the close of Thursday, 27th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was open for five days.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘others’ sub-index increased the highest by 14.10 points closing at 622.70 points. That was followed by the banking sector sub-index which increased by 10.58 points. Bank of Kathmandu was a major mover for last two days of the trading at Nepse with its announcement of a special general meeting on 21st July for the approval of merger proposal and for the election of board of directors.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Finance company sub-index increased by 2.26 points during the week. But the hotel, hydropower, insurance and development banks sub-indices declined.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	There was no change in trading as well as in manufacturing and processing sub-indices during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	During the week, the promoters’ shares of Goodwill Finance dropped the highest by Rs 77 closing at Rs 108. A total of 24,530 scrips of the company were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Shares of 122 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 6,114 transactions amounting to Rs 428,566,000. The transaction amount is 9.11 percent higher than that of earlier week. The total number of scrips traded was 2,602,977 which is 1,015,327 scrips more than that of earlier week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Everest Bank topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 47,430,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 857,892scrips of the fund were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (809).</p>

	Nepse Index closed at 493.13 points on Sunday (June 30). The index dropped by 2.41 points from the Thursday (June 27) close. Only the insurance sub-index saw a gain of 2.60 points closing at 875.69. The total of 331,083 shares was traded from 1185 transactions during a day. Similarly, the total of 1002674 and 134227 bonus shares of National Life Insurance and Navadurga Finance respectively have been listed this day.</p>

	Nepal Banker Association (NBA) has demanded to drop the corporate tax rate on banks to 20 percent from prevailing 40 percent. A delegation led by Ranjan Singh Bhandari, President of NBA called on Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala last week and made the demand. During the meeting, Bhandari stated that the banking sector is fully transparent and has been major contributor in the tax revenue collection of the country. </p>
<p>
	Similarly, the association has demanded to waive the capital gain tax imposed on the sale of the collateral property. It also demanded for the preferential right of the bank on the collateral accepted for the loan. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion, the association also asked for written promise to exempt the tax on the donation that the BFIs make to political parties.<br />

	Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) celebrated 21st Anniversary on Sunday, June 9. It is the governing body of the security market in Nepal. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion of anniversary programme governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada expressed the necessity of entry of established non-financial sector companies in the security market. </p>
<p>
	He argued that the entry of these sectors in the security market might make them transparent among the public. He also added that high dependency of only on sector is not good for the stock market development. Currently, about 85 percent of the market capitalization of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) is covered by banks and financial institutions. He also stated that there is a need of a strong presence of SEBON at the current volatile market situation. Finally, he promised for any help and coordination needed from the central bank. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion, Baburam Shrestha, Chairman of SEBON said that various basic infrastructures needed for the development of securities market like Credit Rating Company, Central Depository System (CDS), mutual fund have been going on and it will help in boosting the market.<br />

	Nepse dropped by 3.09 points during previous week. It had closed 497.44 on Sunday, 9th June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 494.36 at the close of Thursday, 13th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was openfor five days. </p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘other’ sub-index dropped the highest by 11.75 points closing at 616.82 points. Similarly, the hydro-power sub-index dropped by 6.54 points. The sub-index came down due to fall in the share price of Butwal Power Company and Chilime Hydropower Company by Rs 15 (closing at Rs 780) and Rs 10 (closing at Rs 1137) respectively At the same time, drop in the profit growth rate of Nepal Telecom has affected in the sentiment of investor which caused fall in the ‘other’ sector sub-index. </p>
<p>
	The hotel sub-index increased the highest (by 10.79 points). There was no change in manufacturing and processing as well as trading sub-indices during the week. </p>
<p>
	Shares of 119 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 5,175 transactions amounting to Rs 294,491,000. The total number of scrips traded was 1,180,523 which is 70272 scrips less than that of earlier week. </p>
<p>
	Sagarmatha Insurance topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 37,020,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 2,77,907scrips of the fund were traded during the week. </p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (863). </p>
<p>
	On Thursday June 13, a total of 1,882,438 scrips of bonus shares of eight companies were listed at Nepse. Similarly, on the same day 157000 ordinary shares of Swarojgar Laghubitta Bikas Bank were also listed at Nepse.</p>

	<strong>Nepse on Sunday</strong></p>
<p>
	Nepse closed at 494.91 points with an increase of 0.57 points from the Thursday close (June 13). Banking sub-index, development bank sub-index and manufacturing and processing sub-index saw an increment whereas remaining sub-indices saw a drop. 	Nepse index increased by 7.97 points during previous week. It had closed 487.63 on Sunday, 23rd June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 495.60 at the close of Thursday, 27th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was open for five days.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘others’ sub-index increased the highest by 14.10 points closing at 622.70 points. That was followed by the banking sector sub-index which increased by 10.58 points. Bank of Kathmandu was a major mover for last two days of the trading at Nepse with its announcement of a special general meeting on 21st July for the approval of merger proposal and for the election of board of directors.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Finance company sub-index increased by 2.26 points during the week. But the hotel, hydropower, insurance and development banks sub-indices declined.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	There was no change in trading as well as in manufacturing and processing sub-indices during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	During the week, the promoters’ shares of Goodwill Finance dropped the highest by Rs 77 closing at Rs 108. A total of 24,530 scrips of the company were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Shares of 122 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 6,114 transactions amounting to Rs 428,566,000. The transaction amount is 9.11 percent higher than that of earlier week. The total number of scrips traded was 2,602,977 which is 1,015,327 scrips more than that of earlier week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Everest Bank topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 47,430,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 857,892scrips of the fund were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (809).</p>

	Nepse Index closed at 493.13 points on Sunday (June 30). The index dropped by 2.41 points from the Thursday (June 27) close. Only the insurance sub-index saw a gain of 2.60 points closing at 875.69. The total of 331,083 shares was traded from 1185 transactions during a day. Similarly, the total of 1002674 and 134227 bonus shares of National Life Insurance and Navadurga Finance respectively have been listed this day.</p>

	Nepal Banker Association (NBA) has demanded to drop the corporate tax rate on banks to 20 percent from prevailing 40 percent. A delegation led by Ranjan Singh Bhandari, President of NBA called on Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala last week and made the demand. During the meeting, Bhandari stated that the banking sector is fully transparent and has been major contributor in the tax revenue collection of the country. </p>
<p>
	Similarly, the association has demanded to waive the capital gain tax imposed on the sale of the collateral property. It also demanded for the preferential right of the bank on the collateral accepted for the loan. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion, the association also asked for written promise to exempt the tax on the donation that the BFIs make to political parties.<br />

	Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) celebrated 21st Anniversary on Sunday, June 9. It is the governing body of the security market in Nepal. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion of anniversary programme governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada expressed the necessity of entry of established non-financial sector companies in the security market. </p>
<p>
	He argued that the entry of these sectors in the security market might make them transparent among the public. He also added that high dependency of only on sector is not good for the stock market development. Currently, about 85 percent of the market capitalization of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) is covered by banks and financial institutions. He also stated that there is a need of a strong presence of SEBON at the current volatile market situation. Finally, he promised for any help and coordination needed from the central bank. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion, Baburam Shrestha, Chairman of SEBON said that various basic infrastructures needed for the development of securities market like Credit Rating Company, Central Depository System (CDS), mutual fund have been going on and it will help in boosting the market.<br />

	Nepse dropped by 3.09 points during previous week. It had closed 497.44 on Sunday, 9th June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 494.36 at the close of Thursday, 13th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was openfor five days. </p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘other’ sub-index dropped the highest by 11.75 points closing at 616.82 points. Similarly, the hydro-power sub-index dropped by 6.54 points. The sub-index came down due to fall in the share price of Butwal Power Company and Chilime Hydropower Company by Rs 15 (closing at Rs 780) and Rs 10 (closing at Rs 1137) respectively At the same time, drop in the profit growth rate of Nepal Telecom has affected in the sentiment of investor which caused fall in the ‘other’ sector sub-index. </p>
<p>
	The hotel sub-index increased the highest (by 10.79 points). There was no change in manufacturing and processing as well as trading sub-indices during the week. </p>
<p>
	Shares of 119 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 5,175 transactions amounting to Rs 294,491,000. The total number of scrips traded was 1,180,523 which is 70272 scrips less than that of earlier week. </p>
<p>
	Sagarmatha Insurance topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 37,020,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 2,77,907scrips of the fund were traded during the week. </p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (863). </p>
<p>
	On Thursday June 13, a total of 1,882,438 scrips of bonus shares of eight companies were listed at Nepse. Similarly, on the same day 157000 ordinary shares of Swarojgar Laghubitta Bikas Bank were also listed at Nepse.</p>

	<strong>Nepse on Sunday</strong></p>
<p>
	Nepse closed at 494.91 points with an increase of 0.57 points from the Thursday close (June 13). Banking sub-index, development bank sub-index and manufacturing and processing sub-index saw an increment whereas remaining sub-indices saw a drop. The share price of Kamana Bikas Bank gained the highest by Rs 6 per share closing at Rs 130. Similarly, the share price of NB Insurance dropped the highest by Rs 6 per share closing at Rs 57. Total of 280,297 shares were traded amounted to Rs 113,410,218 at Nepse floor.<br />

	Nepse index increased by 7.97 points during previous week. It had closed 487.63 on Sunday, 23rd June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 495.60 at the close of Thursday, 27th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was open for five days.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘others’ sub-index increased the highest by 14.10 points closing at 622.70 points. That was followed by the banking sector sub-index which increased by 10.58 points. Bank of Kathmandu was a major mover for last two days of the trading at Nepse with its announcement of a special general meeting on 21st July for the approval of merger proposal and for the election of board of directors.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Finance company sub-index increased by 2.26 points during the week. But the hotel, hydropower, insurance and development banks sub-indices declined.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	There was no change in trading as well as in manufacturing and processing sub-indices during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	During the week, the promoters’ shares of Goodwill Finance dropped the highest by Rs 77 closing at Rs 108. A total of 24,530 scrips of the company were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Shares of 122 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 6,114 transactions amounting to Rs 428,566,000. The transaction amount is 9.11 percent higher than that of earlier week. The total number of scrips traded was 2,602,977 which is 1,015,327 scrips more than that of earlier week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Everest Bank topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 47,430,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 857,892scrips of the fund were traded during the week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (809).</p>

The total of 331,083 shares was traded from 1185 transactions during a day. Similarly, the total of 1002674 and 134227 bonus shares of National Life Insurance and Navadurga Finance respectively have been listed this day.</p>

	Nepal Banker Association (NBA) has demanded to drop the corporate tax rate on banks to 20 percent from prevailing 40 percent. A delegation led by Ranjan Singh Bhandari, President of NBA called on Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala last week and made the demand. During the meeting, Bhandari stated that the banking sector is fully transparent and has been major contributor in the tax revenue collection of the country. </p>
<p>
	Similarly, the association has demanded to waive the capital gain tax imposed on the sale of the collateral property. It also demanded for the preferential right of the bank on the collateral accepted for the loan. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion, the association also asked for written promise to exempt the tax on the donation that the BFIs make to political parties.<br />

	Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) celebrated 21st Anniversary on Sunday, June 9. It is the governing body of the security market in Nepal. </p>
<p>
	On the occasion of anniversary programme governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada expressed the necessity of entry of established non-financial sector companies in the security market. </p>
<p>
	He argued that the entry of these sectors in the security market might make them transparent among the public. He also added that high dependency of only on sector is not good for the stock market development. Currently, about 85 percent of the market capitalization of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) is covered by banks and financial institutions. He also stated that there is a need of a strong presence of SEBON at the current volatile market situation. Finally, he promised for any help and coordination needed from the central bank. </p>

	On the occasion, Baburam Shrestha, Chairman of SEBON said that various basic infrastructures needed for the development of securities market like Credit Rating Company, Central Depository System (CDS), mutual fund have been going on and it will help in boosting the market.<br />

<p>
	Nepse dropped by 3.09 points during previous week. It had closed 497.44 on Sunday, 9th June (the first trading day of the week) and reached 494.36 at the close of Thursday, 13th June (the last trading day of the week). The market floor was openfor five days. </p>
<p>
	In the week, the ‘other’ sub-index dropped the highest by 11.75 points closing at 616.82 points. Similarly, the hydro-power sub-index dropped by 6.54 points. The sub-index came down due to fall in the share price of Butwal Power Company and Chilime Hydropower Company by Rs 15 (closing at Rs 780) and Rs 10 (closing at Rs 1137) respectively At the same time, drop in the profit growth rate of Nepal Telecom has affected in the sentiment of investor which caused fall in the ‘other’ sector sub-index. </p>
<p>
	The hotel sub-index increased the highest (by 10.79 points). There was no change in manufacturing and processing as well as trading sub-indices during the week. </p>
<p>
	Shares of 119 companies were traded at Nepse during the week through 5,175 transactions amounting to Rs 294,491,000. The total number of scrips traded was 1,180,523 which is 70272 scrips less than that of earlier week. </p>
<p>
	Sagarmatha Insurance topped the list in terms of transaction amount (Rs 37,020,000). Nabil Balanced Fund topped in number of scrips traded during the week. Altogether 2,77,907scrips of the fund were traded during the week. </p>
<p>
	Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd was at the top on the basis of the number of transactions (863). </p>
<p>
	On Thursday June 13, a total of 1,882,438 scrips of bonus shares of eight companies were listed at Nepse. Similarly, on the same day 157000 ordinary shares of Swarojgar Laghubitta Bikas Bank were also listed at Nepse.</p>

	<strong>Nepse on Sunday</strong></p>
<p>
	Nepse closed at 494.91 points with an increase of 0.57 points from the Thursday close (June 13). Banking sub-index, development bank sub-index and manufacturing and processing sub-index saw an increment whereas remaining sub-indices saw a drop. The share price of Kamana Bikas Bank gained the highest by Rs 6 per share closing at Rs 130. Similarly, the share price of NB Insurance dropped the highest by Rs 6 per share closing at Rs 57. Total of 280,297 shares were traded amounted to Rs 113,410,218 at Nepse floor.<br />
