<p>According to RSS, vice-chair of the Lumbini Development Trust, Bhikshu Metteya, said the government should come up with an appropriate policy to increase investment in promoting religions tourism in the country.</p>
<p>“India has invested a project worth Rs 40 billion in Buddhist tourism, and that has led to economic progress,” RSS quoted Metteya as saying.</p>
<p>Dean of the University, Manik Ratna Shakya, also called for a concrete government plan to expand Buddhist philosophy while chief of the campus Fanindra Neupane stressed on support and collaboration of all to the University to further promote Buddhist philosophy.</p>
<p>Tourism entrepreneur Hem Bista stressed on the need to come up with programmes to increase the stay of tourists in Lumbini.</p>

<p>Speaking at a day-long seminar organized by the Lumbini Buddhist University in Lumbini on Saturday, they said Buddhist philosophy was the foundation of Nepal’s tourism, and hence it needs to be promoted.</p>
<p>According to RSS, vice-chair of the Lumbini Development Trust, Bhikshu Metteya, said the government should come up with an appropriate policy to increase investment in promoting religions tourism in the country.</p>
<p>“India has invested a project worth Rs 40 billion in Buddhist tourism, and that has led to economic progress,” RSS quoted Metteya as saying.</p>
<p>Dean of the University, Manik Ratna Shakya, also called for a concrete government plan to expand Buddhist philosophy while chief of the campus Fanindra Neupane stressed on support and collaboration of all to the University to further promote Buddhist philosophy.</p>
