December 24: Government of Nepal is preparing to initiate Satellite Accounting System in tourism sector.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation will use this system to find out the actual contribution of tourism sector to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the country as well as to maintain data related to the tourism sector.
The ministry informed New Business Age that they will implement the system from the next fiscal year after completing the survey in the current FY.

<p>The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation will use this system to find out the actual contribution of tourism sector to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the country as well as to maintain data related to the tourism sector.</p>
<p>The ministry informed New Business Age that they will implement the system from the next fiscal year after completing the survey in the current FY.</p>
<p>Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari said that the contribution of tourism sector to the GDP seems apparently less at present since all the indicators of tourism are not taken into consideration. However, with the introduction of the new system, the contribution of the tourism sector will be much higher, claimed the minister.</p>
