<p>NCC expressed its displeasure after the KMC imposed a sharp hike in local tax, registration fees and fines as per the Finance Act 2074.</p>
<p> “The local authority took a unilateral decision to hike the price when the existing laws have clearly stated that it should include the private sector in the Revenue Advisory Committee while fixing the tax rate within its jurisdiction,” states a press release issued by NCC o July 19.</p>
<p>The NCC statement further says that the hike in business tax imposed by the KMC will result in rise in inflation and the public will have to bear the burden in the end.</p>
